Elijah glanced over at the girl that he found intriguing, he knew that he was definitely introducing her to Mattheo, his youngest brother would very much like her, "so Adelaide tell me about yourself."

Ada sighed "well there is quite a lot to tell but I'll just stick to the basics of it for now and then more details when I know I can trust you not to reveal my secrets that's more for my safety than anything else... I was born and raised in Mystic Falls, I was adopted by my uncle and aunt after the death of my parents when I was a baby, they hated me, for what I could do I'll get more into that later. I ran away after a particularly nasty fight with Grayson and Miranda when I was 17, that's when I met Edith, my great-grandmother, she took me in and made sure I had anything that I needed, my mother's family were witches Edith could feel the family magic in me and that was when she took to teaching me everything that I needed to know to survive... I won't say which family, it's safer for me the fewer people that know what family my mother came from."

Elijah nodded at her "very well Adelaide, thank you for at least sharing a little of your family history with me."

Ada smiled at the original "of course Elijah it's the least I could do since you are going out of your way to drive me home. So what about you?"

Elijah chuckled "well from the sounds of it you know quite a bit about my family already."

Ada shrugged, "true but I only know enough to know that I'd rather not make an enemy out of you or your siblings."

"You know my youngest brother Mattheo he would very much quite like you, you have the same kind of humor, I noticed back at the house some of your comments sounded like something my brother would have said."

Ada grinned "well then that makes my job slightly easier because I plan on befriending all of your siblings."

That made a chuckle slip out of Elijah "Well Adelaide I wish you luck on that one, Rebekah would be the easiest, she's always wanted a true friend so there you go and as I said you and Mattheo are rather similar and Kol would find your magic side interesting as would Mattheo for that matter, Klaus is very paranoid and that would be rather challenging to get him to trust you enough to be his friend and Finn also would be challenging but maybe you could do it, I look forward to seeing you try."

Ada grinned at the noble original "oooh I love a good challenge Elijah so, this should be fun." and so the two made small talk all the way until Elijah pulled up in front of the address Ada had given him, she smiled and gathered her things, "Thank you so much for the ride Elijah, I'll see you around."

"It was my pleasure Adelaide." she punched in the gate code and walked through the gate as Elijah drove away, to meet with his witch as he had planned.

Ada walked into the house and straight up to her room and made a note to get her dress dry cleaned and then decided to take a shower.

After her shower, Ada got dressed and then headed out to pick her car up from the Lockwoods since she was kidnapped the previous night. Once she had her car, she decided to get some food from the grill, so that was where she was currently driving too.

Once at her destination Ada got out of her car and made sure it was locked before she made her way inside to place a to-go order. As she walked in Ada smirked to herself seeing a very familiar strawberry blonde-haired woman, standing in line with a book in her hand. That was when Ada decided to surprise her aunt.

She quietly approached the woman and grabbed her by the shoulders "Hey Aunt, J." the woman whirled around almost smacking Ada with her book, making the Phoenix witch quickly duck back to avoid it. "Woah easy there woman."

Jenna placed a hand over her heart, "oh my god Ada, don't sneak up on me like that and maybe you wouldn't almost get smacked." then Jenna pulled her into a hug, they talked very frequently while Ada was away. "I've missed you though Ada."

"Missed you too, Aunt J." Ada smiled as she hugged her aunt back. Jenna was always more of a mother to Ada than Miranda.

The strawberry blonde grinned at her niece, "How long have you been back? Haven't seen you at the house obviously."

"Just since yesterday, I have worked out my own living arrangements, you should come by sometime though and we can catch up."

Jenna smiled "all right when are you free?"

"Right now actually I was gonna order to-go and just chill at the house, so if you want you can come over after I get my food, did you drive, or did you get dropped off?"

"Sounds good to me, and Elena dropped me off. She's using my car right now."

Ada grinned "awesome that means you get to see my baby, I'll just order my food and then we can head out." Jenna nodded at her and then stepped up since she was next and paid her bill.

Ada stepped up after Jenna moved and placed her order which was an order of chili cheese fries topped with bacon and a strawberry banana smoothie. She waited a few minutes as they got her order ready and she made small talk with Jenna and when her name was called, she paid for the food and Jenna followed her out of the grill.

Ada grinned at the look on Jenna's face seeing her car. "Nice car..."

"Thank aunt J, that's my baby." the two climbed inside the car once Ada unlocked it and then Ada drove off towards her house.

As soon as Ada pulled up to the gate to put the code in Jenna recognized the house as it belonged to her brother-in-law Stephen and his wife Marianne who was one of her best friends before they died. "This was Stephen and Marianne's house."

Ada nodded as she pulled through the gate "yep, I inherited it after they died but couldn't do anything with it until I turned 18."

They were inside the house now in the living room and Jenna looked at her "you know the truth now." It wasn't a question, it was a statement.

The redhead nodded "yeah after I ran away I ended up in New York and I met Edith, who turned out to be my great-grandmother, and I read in my mom's journal that you knew that she was a witch... so when I met Edith she could feel the family magic in me so she took me in and explained everything to me."

Jenna nodded at her, "I wanted to tell you the truth, I told Grayson that you had the right to know about your parents but he shut me down and said that he and Miranda were your legal guardians and I had no say in what they told you... but yes Marianne did tell me the truth, we were really fast friends, we clicked almost immediately after Stephen introduced us, we became best friends and we told each other everything."

Ada rolled her eyes, "yeah I know how Grayson was so I figured he had something to do with why you didn't tell me anyway..." Ada smiled, "I really wish I could have met them."

Jenna scoffed "yeah he threatened to make sure I wouldn't get to see you if I told you the truth against his wishes." Jenna gave her niece a sad smile "oh they would have adored you, Ada... I just know it."

Ada nodded, "yeah that's what great-grandma Edith told me too said mom would be proud of me either way but especially since I inherited the witch gene and mom's Hawthorne special ability was pyrokinesis which I inherited as well and that was the first time that had happened in a long time."

"Marianne told me that everyone in the Hawthorne family that inherited the witch gene had their own unique power which was set aside from the powers of a normal witch... which she also explained to me."

"That's right aunt J, my pyrokinesis isn't as strong as my moms was, but my unique powers are Telekinesis and Telepathy, so I can read minds and move things without touching them. Though there is so much more to being a Telepath than just reading minds... I wouldn't have been able to study so much about this without Xavi."

"Who is Xavi?" Jenna questioned, the name sounded somewhat familiar but she couldn't recall where she had heard it.

"Right Xavier Blakely, he's my uncle, he was married to my aunt Selene before she died... he also hates when I call him Xavi but I do it anyway."

Jenna nodded at her, "right okay then, and how would he know about that?"

"Well Xavi was from a different coven, so he was also a witch, but in his coven having an extra ability was rare and only those that the family magic deemed worthy would receive one, Xavier was one of them he's a telepath as well, which is how he could teach me how to harness the ability."

"Okay gotcha, that makes sense."

The two girls spent the next few hours catching up and then Ada took Jenna home, Ada smiled at her aunt before she got out of the car "if you ever need a break, you can always stay at my place Aunt J, just so you know, I'll give you a copy of the gate code just in case I'm not there." then she pulled a sticky note pad out of her bag and wrote the code down for Jenna. "There you are." she handed it to the strawberry blonde.

Jenna smiled at her "thanks Ada, I appreciate it."

"Of course Aunt J." then the older woman got out of the car and headed into the house, Jeremy came outside a minute after Jenna walked into the house, and saw the car still in the driveway "Ada is that you?"

"Yep, Jer it is indeed me... where you headed?"

He walked up to the car "just out, to get out of the house for a while."

Ada grinned at her baby brother, "get in, and we can do something."

Jeremy grinned back at her and climbed into the car, "sure what do have in mind, Ada?"

The redhead grinned "we could do a movie night at my place... I have a theatre room in the basement of the house, I had it added when I had the house fixed up so that I could move into it there is also a game room."

Jeremy looked at her "that sounds awesome Ada, I say let's do it, have some brother-sister bonding time since we haven't gotten to talk much besides the few times we spoke yesterday."

Ada nodded she liked that idea, Jermey and Jenna were the only family on the Gilbert side that she had left (she doesn't count Elena since she can't stand her), and Xavier was the only family that she had from the Hawthorne side. She needed to talk Xavier into coming to visit her in Mystic Falls. "All right Jer." then she pulled out of the Gilbert driveway, "we will stop by the store and get some snack first though."

So an hour later the two Gilberts had a bunch of snacks and were headed back to Ada's house for a movie night.

Jeremy stared in shock at his older sister as she punched the gate code in "woah Ada, you actually live here?"

Ada smirked, "I sure do baby bro." She pulled up the driveway and the gate closed behind her. She parked her car in the garage.

"You know everyone says this place is haunted and abandoned which honestly with the things I've learned about this town wouldn't even surprise me at all." The youngest Gilbert said as he climbed out of his sister's car.

Ada laughed "there is nothing haunted about this place Jer, it was abandoned yes, but only because the owners died..." she grabbed some of the bags out of the car and started walking towards the door that led into the house, Jeremy grabbed the other bags and followed Ada.

"How do you know? And how can you afford to live here, this place is massive Ada."

She smirked, "you can sit those bags down by the stairs for now since we are taking them downstairs but first I'm giving you a tour of the place and I'll answer that question later." And so she started the tour. "First we have the kitchen."

Then she pulled him towards the next room, "living room."

The boy was looking around almost in awe; he had never seen a living room that big before. Ada grinned at the look on his face, "through those double doors is a library, and down the hall is a study."

"Wait, there's a library in your house?"

Ada nodded "yeah, so upstairs are the bedrooms, which you can claim one and stay with me anytime you want to... I'll get you a copy of the gate code."

She gave him a tour of the rest of the house including the upstairs and Jeremy picked which bedroom he wanted. And then it was time for Ada to show him the game room and the home theater. They picked up the bags with all of their snacks in them and Ada led the way downstairs.

Jeremy looked around wide-eyed, Ada saw that and smirked at him "so this is the home theater, through the door on the left is the game room and the door on the right is a home gym and the other door on the right is a bathroom."

"This is so cool."

Ada nodded "yeah so I will answer your questions and then we can get started and I will let you pick what movies we watch."

Jeremy nodded "okay so I will circle back to the first question, how can you afford this place?"

Ada chuckled "well that's a touch of a long story but I'll cliff notes it for you so we're not here all night talking about it. So basically this house belonged to our Uncle Stehpen and his wife Marianne, before they died, which was before you were born so you probably don't know much about them but and I didn't find out about this until after I left town but come to find out that Stephen and Marianne were actually my parents so Grayson and Miranda adopted me after they died, so technically I didn't even have to pay for the house, I inherited it when I turned 18, so yeah that's answers that question but I mean, I did have to pay for the renovations but I could afford that because turns out my mother's family was loaded so when my great-grandmother died earlier this year, I pretty much inherited almost all of the Hawthrone family fortune well there was a portion left to my uncle Xavier but everything else was left to me so... there you go."

Jeremy looked at her stunned "wow, so technically we're actually cousins? Huh okay, then but you are still my sister Ada. I think I remember dad talking about them once, who else knew about that besides mom and dad? So you're like rich rich now?"

"Yep pretty much," she smiled and ruffled his hair "well good because you are still my baby brother no matter what. Aunt Jenna and probably uncle John too. Probably a few people in town too but I don't know exactly who though. Yeah exactly, I have more money now than I know what to do with I'm pretty much set up for the rest of my life, but I wouldn't go boasting about that to anyone really, but yeah."

"Wow, Ada that's insane..."

She nodded "yeah I know, it took a while for me to process all of it... so any more questions or do you want to start the movies?"

Jeremy laughed "I think that's all I can process at the moment so let's get the movies started."

Ada nodded at her little brother and slide a tablet toward him. "Just pick what movie you want to watch and the tablet is connected to a projector that will play whatever movie you pick."

Jeremy nodded and swiped through looking at all of the movie choices and he settled on the Fast and Furious series, starting with the first movie. "The Fast and The Furious nice choice Jer."

He grinned at her "it's been a while since we've had an F&F marathon so it was an easy choice." and so the sibling duo got their snacks ready as the movie started playing.

I couldn't resist doing a little sibling bonding part with Jeremy and Ada next chapter will be going into Katerina. Also yes I made Jenna aware of the supernatural very early on in this IDC my girl deserved so much better than what she got. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the chapter (:

Also kinda want to put Jenna with someone that isn't Alaric like they break up after a certain event that I won't say cause it will spoil it and I can't have that XD but who do you guys think it should be?
