Shiro x Shy!Reader (ft. Lance McClain as the Wingman)

Talking to Shiro was ok but trying to confess my feelings for him is too difficult, so with regret I asked Lance for help, he seemed pretty good a whooing people over, except for Keith where Keith is brain dead when Lance flirts at him.

I was invited into Lance's room so he can discuss the plan he has foe me. "Alright (Y/N), people who are confident enough to confess to there love is easy, but for you, there are some stages you need to follow so you can get Shiro to love you back."

I nodded at his plans which made me feel weird.

The 4 stages of love if you're too scared to tell them-by Lance the one and only:

1. Small Hints: if you're too scared to flirt with your crush, nudge his/her/there interest by small hints of romance, maybe an 'accidental' hand hold or cuddling against them. Just make sure you try to be as subtle as possible.

I see that Shiro was sitting on the couch alone, holding a cup of coffee. I take a deep breath and sit right next to him.

"Tough battle, huh?" I asked causally asked, nudging myself a little closer. He looks at me and I try to keep eye contact.

"No," Shiro replied, "just tired in general." He sighed and slumped over a bit. I got a little closer until are shoulders touched.

"You always seem so tired." I purred a little, nuzzling his chest, my face has become very red at this point, but Shiro was also turning pink.

He wrapped his arm around me, we stay in this position for a little bit until Shiro got up and went to bed.

2. Verbal Hints: Now that you got his/her/there attention, you are now ready to enter stage 2. Whenever you talk to your crush, if theres any awkward silence, ask him/her/them what they see in a mate, try to be subtle.

"Hey Shiro," I said to Shiro, we were both sitting on the couch together again, my head was on his lap, "can I ask you something?"

"Ask away." He said calmly.

"What do you see in a romantic partner?" crap, he's gonna find out. But no, he actually answered the question.

"Well," he began, "I was thinking a person who's sweet, and has a heart. Of course I would want them to be determined to do what they can. I know it sounds corny but the question was a little on the spot."

I blush at his words, I sat up and looked at him, and smiled.

"What do you see in a lover?" Shiro asked me. Lance never told me what to do at this part, should I just out right tell him?

"A sweetheart, both powerful physical and mentally." I said on the top of my head, those were the traits I would describe Shiro, hopefully he doesn't catch on.

3. Find Clues: After talking to your crush, you may start seeing things about them that make them feel unnatural. Maybe sneak into their room and snoop for clues.

Shiro was training on his own so I was able to sneak into his room. The door opens and I walking, running into a opened box labeled, 'Galra/Important Stuff.'

I skimmed through the box, only finding Galra parts, probably parts for Pidge to fix his arm, and then there's a black journal thing at the bottom.

I pick it up and see that it has star constellations imprinted on it in white. I open this book and see it has writing and scribbles on it. I skimmed through the text, it was recordings of important events of Voltron.

(Y/N) and I have been much closer, yesterday she asked me 'What do you see in a romantic partner?' or something like that. The first words that came out of my mouth was determine, sweet, and full of heart, but thats the short answer. I didnt want to tell her because she might hate me, but theres this one person in particular.-

The last sentence was blacked out, then I heard the door slide open and there was a Shiro with a tower around his neck.

I go red and run out of the door before he could speak to me.

4. The Confession: stage 4 isnt easy to master. Stage 4 comes very slowly so no rushing. This has been the 4 stages of love if you're too scared.

Shiro told me to meet him at the lion hanger, right next to the black lion.

My foot begins to tap. What if he's mad at me for reading his journal? Is he in love with someone else?

That changed when he made me flinch by putting his hand on my shoulder.

"(Y/N)," Shiro said in concern, "there's something I have to tell you."

"Is this about me reading your journal?" I said softly, he sighs and continues.

"There's a reason why I scratched out the last sentence," I looked in shocked, "because I didnt know how you would feel back."

I didnt know what to say, does he love me? My face went pink, I didnt know what to say to him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I think I like you enough to say I love you." And then I kiss him on the lips.

He raises me up and I wrap my legs around his waist. Shiro kept kissing back so sweetly.

Extended Ending
"Told ya I can do it." Lance said to Keith as they observe (Y/N) and Shiro. "Now is that going to work on you?"

Lance leaned forward towards Keith and made a kissy face for Keith to kiss. Lance gets hit by Keith and is knocked unconscious.

The raven-haired boy continues to smile at the couple's embrace.

(A/N: over 1000 words Jesus Christ, anyway TWO MORE DAYS TIL SEASON 4. according to google, Voltron season 4 has two episode, im hoping thats not real and theres more episodes because we got a lot of plot from the clips and trailers. Anyway it 4:26 in the morning so im going to continue to lay on the couch, goodbye)
