"Nandini......?Nandu?....." Shaked a person

"Huh?...huh??!!......Manik you? When did you came back" Nandini asked getting up fast and was all ready to run towards the kitchen to bring a glass of water for Manik. But got stopped feeling a hold on her arms. Nandini looked at the hand and then at Manik.

Manik without minding it he asked, "what were you thinking about?"

Nandini looked low and said, "was thinking about the day.... Am I that bad Manik to here all these things?, Specially from my parents n Yours.... And Dev he always used to say na tht he loves me then why this doubt all of a sudden?"

Manik didn't know what to talk about. He just sat beside her and held her both the hands in his and held it firmly caressing it, "I know more than me you used to value them. But Everytime one have to see that...it isn't effecting ourselves... Samja?......Dev didn't have that trust on you....and eventually it makes it clear that he doesn't have deep feeling for you. A person have full trust on his or her love so was his trust on you was not there. And about our parents we can think about them but can I ask you? Did they ever tried to listen about your side...they just trusted on those false proofs over your innocence."

Nandini just looked down at her fingers and sobbed, "I......do..don't.....know.... But I used to love everyone over there b.bu..butt I hate every one......and they what about you why are you being dragged in all this.... You shouldn't have done anything... Manik. Just because if me they left you too.. why just Because you supported me going against them. You don't deserve it.. Manik you don't."

"Nandini...... It's fine..... Even you know what's my job is.....right. I always stand for right not for wrong. And you weren't wrong so why would I go against when everyone were. I couldn't do that. Nandini, you have always considered me s you brother and in that way it was my duty to make you safe and innocent. So please......." Consoled Manik rubbing her back. Nandini just looked at him with puppy eyes and pleaded..."but...Manik."

"Shhhhhhh!!!!! Come" saying he got up and held Nandini and dragged towards her room and Nandini just allowed him to do so. After reaching he made her seat on her bed and ordered, "you take a nap..... I will b back. And no ditching you are going to sleep.....so lie down"

Nandini just nodded and slept hugging a pillow....Manik just covered her with blanket and putting on the ac he moved out.....from her bed. And the moment he went she got up and sat on the bed leaning back and went towards the flashback of her happy days......

Flashback

Nandini was around 18 years old and a totally pampered kid of both PATEL'S and MALHOTRA'S. Being the only girl child in Patel family and Being close to Malhotra's it was like cherry on top. She was spoiled to death. Both the mother's father's, Manik Ho treated her like a sister and her love DEV Malhotra. Younger son of RAJ and NEYONIKA Malhotra.....

Even though she was the spoiled brat of her both the family. She was alot matured and sensible girl. Which no one apart from Manik knew about. Every single person in the family have seen her doing naughty and notorious habits. But no one have seen her matured part. Manik knowing it was also not known to Nandini.

Dev and Nandini were a star couple in her college and lots of girls loathed her due to her small and cute height with perfect body and family background and even getting DEV as her boyfriend so was viceversa. Lots of people have tried breaking there, relationship but they were so strong tht..... They didn't care what anyone would say about them. Let the world think shit because they and their family know about them and that's what they mind.

But do you think every story have BD face and so was with Nandini......

Nandini was chilling in her room hearing songs when all of a sudden she heard a loud roar of her dad Calling her.

(Nandini mom = NM, Nandini dad = ND)
(Manik and Dev mom and dad as = MM & MD)

ND, "Nandini.......nandiniiiiiii"
NM, "what the hell....why are you shouting like this......."

MD, You don't know what the hell is she doing behind our backs.....I couldn't even thing that just because of our freedom towards her she would do such thing.

NM, will you both enlighten me that what's the exact thing happening over here.

And the same moment. Nandini ran down hearing her dadda..... Calling her or rather yelling at her.

She came down and seeing both her father's ran towards her Manik's dad and hugged tightly, yelling, 'goshhhhh dad..... I missed you alot.you know it's been 2 weeks we saw each other"

But suddenly she felted herself jerking back and falling down with a sting pain on her checks. And realizing it tht some have slapped her she raised her eyes to see her dadda looking t her angrily..... Spitting fire., "Daddaa?"

"Don't you dare call me that again!!!!!" Yelled again her dad.

Manik who was all set to enter inside the house stopped and came forward to see what's happening, Dev was just looking at Nandini with a confused yet Disgusting stare. Along with His dad

"Would you atleast say tht what's happening and why did you slapped her.....?" Asked her mom sternly. To which he looked at her and threw some papers at her....

"Our very own daughter is going to be arrested for dealing drugs among the College students........"

And this earned gasps from everyone apart from fathers and Dev......

Manik couldn't control and said, "what the hell Pop's... I am a commissioner so why ain't I knowing about it?...don't fool around and do you seriously think she would do like that.?"

"Even I don't want to believe it but sorry all proofs are against her we clearly saw her giving drugs to the student..... With our own eyes in the proof i.e. CCTV. And about knowing you. It was me who stopped it . because as always your brotherly instinct will come and save her. But not this time" yelled Maniks dad

Nandini who was shocked seeing and hearing it all slowly stood up and stood infront of her mother and neyonika and slowly asked, "MAA......MOMMY do you really think I would do such thing?"

Neyonika nodded no but what Nandini's mom i.e. Smriti said shocked her, "I always knew that you are spoiled but didn't thought that it would be like this......Don't you dare come to our house again....we don't want a daughter like you"

Neyonika stood flabbergasted listening her friend talk like that.....and said angrily, "sumu uski baat tho sunlo......with out knowing both the sides you can't say like that. She is our daughter..."

Raj,"but I have thoroughly gone through to see every thing....and Atlast have to believe that she is at fault"

"This girl didn't have this thing in her head that doing such thing would bring disgrace to our family but no she doesn't. So please get out Nandini" said her father. Dev was a silent spectator. Nandini was just looking down with teary eyes... She just looked at neyonika to see her seeing at her with teary eyes. And turned her attention towards Dev and slowly moving towards her she held his hands and asked, "you love me na Dev, you know me achese....I can't do such thing so believe me na?"

Dev took his hands back from her and created little distance between them and said in a confused tone, "Nandini I have been noticing you from last one year and I think you are being in a bad group and I don't trust you in this. You might have done that....."

Nandini suddenly spoke yelling, "how could you all say like this don't you know me your daughter and you....MAA listen to me it's wrong.....I don't know anything MAA. Please listen to me you know me very well na then please.... And Dev please we are with each other from last 6 years you know me na so please listen to me"

But suddenly Mr. Patel held her hand and pushed her towards the entrance and that's when she noticed Police standing there. Seeing Manik the Police men's saluted him. But he was restless. He tried to stop, "Dekho Pops.... Chill there is some issue I will look into this matter personally but please don't behave like this with her. She is our Princess. Please listen to her once please...."

"I don't need any drug dealer or drugger in my house anymore you can leave....Police is waiting for you" Rakesh i.e. Nandini dad said angrily.

Nandini just held onto him tightly, "Dad please listen to me I am your daughter bayou love me do you think I would do that. This all are wrong and baseless news please believe me... Please dad....."

But no one listened anything of her and the police dragged her. And not able to see that even Manik followed the police.... In his vehicle giving a glare to the family. Neyonika was sobbing palming her face. And rest alL were blank.

But after that day Nandini was just too shattered.....and with the help of Manik being the police commissioner officer he looked into the matter and proved her innocent with all the perfect proof. But what they didn't know was the outcome of it. When they reached back at house apart from neyonika accused Nandini of trapping Manik in her innocence and said to manik that by creating false proofs any one can come out without punishment.

But at his doing even he was kicked out of the house just because he supported her...... In her right. But Manik didn't had any problem and helding Nandini he moved from there and settled on hotel for 1 week till he got an rented appartment to leave.

Flashback end

Thinking about her past she didn't even realize when she slept hugging something close to her chest. And after 1 hour Manik came inside the room and saw Nandini sleeping keeping a frame near her chest. He moved close to her and sat on the edges of the bed and leaning towards her he took the frame out of her hands to see a big family photo of his and her. It was a family picture clicked during house warming party of his new home. He slowly traced the pic and whispered, "You have killed an innocent girl. Now she is full of dull girl. I haven't seen her like this ever. Even if you guys would come again then to I won't allow her to forgive you guys. It's my promise. You didn't even feel bad to kick me away...."

But suddenly Nandini Opened her eyes and heard his whispering so she slowly got up and hugged him from back keeping her head in his shoulder. Wrapping her arms around his neck from back and Manik just balanced himself., "Got up kiddo?"

"I want to move on" said Nandini tilting her head towards Manik. Manik just looked at Nandini and kissed her cheeks. Nandini looked at him with a cute smile.

"If that what you want then..... Will do something about it.....fyn?" Nandini nodded. But suddenly she had a thought and she got up and stood infront of him....... And with a mischievous smile and smirking she asked, "well when will I be able to see your soon to kids with the help of your soon to be wife"

"Wife?.......kids?........mine?" Manik asked pointing his fingers at him. Nandini nodded innocently and said, "aur nahi tho Kya.... Why would I think about someone else when I have to think about you?"

"Do you really want me to marry someone?" Asked Manik slowly getting up and Nandini moving back slowly slowly..

Nandini smiled nervously and turned around quickly and running she yelled, "are even if you marry or not I want to play with your kids..... So you have marry a girl na.... You can't marry a boy and make him pregnant.....so!!!"

"What the hell Nandini....wait you want kids right..... Come I will give you kids...... You are a girl I am a boy so simple am I right.....come here babyyyyyyy" Manik ran behind her........ Realising that Manik is chasing her she speed up and ran around the whole house laughingly, "hawwww tauba.....taubaa......how could you even think like that.i m your chotu so manayi Hui sister you can't say that.........brotherrrrrrrr"

"You kiddo tum mere haat main Milo chodunga nhi tumhe......" Manik chsed her again around a sofa.... Nandini giggled and said, "broooooo you are becoming old don't run around tiredness hongi aapko" but suddenly she squealed loudly......and when realized she started to beat Manik....... yelling, "hawwwwwww chodoooo muje I am not a sack......chodooooo"

"Abh Kya hua nanduuuuu......baago abhi!!!!" Saying he carried her towards her room and threw her on the bed and hovered over her siting on her stomach not giving pressure to her started to tickle her hard..... Nandini laughed so hard that tears started to come from her eyes, "bus.....bus.... enough thak gai main uffff"

Manik too stopped and unknowingly he fell over her and hugged her digging her face on the crook of her neck making her stiff.......but Manik didn't noticed it. Nandini just looked at their position with a blank look.

After 4 years......

Nandini's POV

Life have thought me alot lot of things..... And the best lesson was tht we should always look after our own happiness rather than the others. I didn't ever thought that there would be a day were I would be happily leaving with Manik alone without any of the members of his and mine family. But see the irony... No one can say it or think what will happen in our life and what future does it hold. So was our case. Once I was so in love with Dev that now I hate even thinking about him. Even now I used think that why didn't they trust me and just threw me away just because of some baseless proofs not only that they have even kicked out Manik...... Well yes I call him Manik. Why I don't know I am more comfortable in Calling him by his name than as Bhai... But anyways. Even he was kicked out from the house why just because he helped and supported me for the right. It was and only neyonika aunty that talks to us without letting any one know.

What should I talk about Manik. Tht Man is so gentleman tht whoever girl will get him will be the luckiest girl in the world. A girl always need a boy who would take care of her, love her, supports her, and makes her understand were wrong. And plus have good looks which would melt any women's or girls heart. A police commissioner. A total perfect package. I would pray tht whoever he gets should be a good girl.

There have been times where I felt something but even I know it's not right so have eventually left that thought.

Now I have been walking around the streets for past 30 mins thinking about my life. We have shifted to a new apartment of our own and not on rented. But what I have noticed here is that most of the public always looks at me with some sort of weird looks. But I don't care the fuck. So let them see me however they want.

POV ended

She was all set to enter inside the lift when she heard her name being taken by a lady. And out of curiosity she stayed there without letting the ladies know and thought to here the talks.

Lady 1 - Hey......can I know something if you know can you just make me know the thing I wanna clear it out.

Lady 2- what are you talking about. What do you want to know?

Lady 1 - do you know anything about That 401 flatmates?

Lady 2 - who That Nandini and Manik. They are such a sweetheart. They are Siblings. But wait why are you asking about them to me?

Lady 1 - Acha fine listen to me first. I have seen them before. They are the kids of The BIG PATEL'S and MALHOTRA'S. She is a Patel and he a Malhotra. And now do you think they are siblings.? Look at them both aren't married specially that Malhotra. I think he might be around 32 why isn't he married yet?.

Lady 2 - Why re you getting into this matter.its their life let them do whatever they want. They might be considering each other as brother and sister so leave it.

Lady 1 - No. Listen that girl might be around 24 which is a young age. And the boy being 32. Just think he would be loving young girls in every things. They might be showing as brother sister bond infront of the world. And we exactly don't know what's happening inside the house. She is young. That's enough to satisfy his hunger I hope you are getting it.

Lady 2 - leave the topic I don't wanna discuss it.

Lady 1 - I m not saying these things for sake. It's not good for our society. Just thing there re lots of children staying here. Even they might be noticing just like me.so we have to get them away from our society.

Nandini couldn't stand there for long and ran away from there through stairs to the house. She was shattered thinking about these things. How could a lady spoke about her and Maniks bond like that?.......she doesn't have any right on their life nor she knows anything about them. Then how dare she say it. Nandini was so angry tht when she was all set to throw the vase and then suddenly she noticed a photograph right infront of her......

"Is it my fault that I didn't notice about his time and emotions? Just because of me and responsibility of my studies he stayed single......and being the stupid me I couldn't even see that. Even he is guy. He might have lots of emotion and stuff which he would love to share it with A partner. And me being me couldn't notice that......oh god...... How could I"

Saying she sat down slowly leaning on to the wall and cried silently thinking about the lady's talk and about Manik.

She heard door being Opened and looking upwards she whispered, "Manik!!!!!!"

Manik stood shocked seeing her red face with dry tears over her face.

Manik was controlling his anger from past 1 week. After seeing her dried yet blank face. He wasn't able to drive anything as Nandini haven't even opened her mouth from then. It was actually making his temper short. He knew one more ignorance then it will blast it out. So preparing himself calming down not to blast he opened the door and get inside the house. He just looked around the house looking for her, finally got to see her in the kitchen. He kept the things in it's places and was going to his room, was stopped by her, "Manik!!!"

Manik turned and looked at saying sarcastically, "ohhh you re not turning mute glad to know that. What's with this Calling my name all of a sudden?"

Nandini sighed, "go and freshen up I have to talk to you about something important fast. It's urgent"

"You can't just come and say just like tht all of a sudden. Did you get it you weren't talking to me and now ordering seriously? And you think I will listen to you?" Manik yelled angrily. Nandini eyes teared up for creating such situation but it wasn't her fault too. "Please Manik!!!!"

Seeing her teary eyes he controlled and walked away whispering a yes. Nandini rubbed her tears off and breathed heavily and set up the table for dinner Manik Came with in 15 mins. Nandini didn't let him speak, "let's eat then will sit and talk peacefully promise"

That's all happened and they continued with their dinner without talking.

"What the hell Nandini" finally Manik bursted out. He couldn't thought Nandini would such horrible thing as per his thinking. Nandini just looked at him with a straight face not giving anything to him making Manik more mad, "you can't just decide these things for me without even asking me about this matter. And fucking sake what happened all of a sudden that you re bringing up this topic?"

Nandini stammered, "ma....Manik...ju...just listen to me"

"Don't shutter and speak out" Manik was getting impatient with passing seconds. And Nandini sensed it very well, "See Manik, I....." And again she stopped making amanik chuckling sarcastically. He looked up at her moving close to her to which she moved back instantly. Manik stressed "so you aren't gonna say anything you sure?"
That was it Nandini couldn't hold back more, "what should I say Manik. It's not right. You have move in completely searching a girl who could be with you being your wife taking care of you. I am just your responsibility. Manik you don't have to waste it control your time and emotions for me. You will be turning 32 with in 2 months. And you should know that there are baseless topics and rumors on our society talking about us in a BD way. They are insulting out bond. So end this you have to get married. And see I have selected some girls just look after it and say. Will fix everything thing"

Manik looked at her with blazing eyes scaring Nandini but she put up a brave face, "So what.....it's their problem not ours why are you letting them effecting you?"

"I know it's there problem. But logically think why aren't you married yet? Marriage time is been going and you aren't even thinking of marriage. Manik being a man you are even you will be having your desires emotions and all to share it with. So this is the best option" Nandini almost pleaded looking at Manik and helding his face on her small hands. Manik held her hand on his face slowly tracing it he asked, "Seriously Nandini....you think me as a horny Man? Who is desperate for fucking someone like seriously? I don't need anyone in my life if I want u will bring but don't force me into this. Please" he looked at her almost pleadingly.

Nandini nodded in no, "you have to get married that's all. End of discussion" and Manik couldn't control it anymore pushing her away slight yelled, "You know what go to hell" and went to his room closing the door with a bang. Making Nandini shocked in her place. She didn't thought this would end up like this. But this is all she could think straightly.

After that incident the house was totally silent. Not filled with their teasing, their laugh, their small cute moments, everything was stopped. Manik wasn't even looking at her or rather wasn't even coming infront her. She was a lot sad but she new she was right here. Just because she is staying with him doesn't mean he would live a bachelor life anymore. She was just walking back to her house after working thinking and listening to the songs when all of a sudden a car came and stopped in front her breaking her trance she looked at the vehicle realizing whose is was, and that turned her face with a blank expression. The person got down from the car and stood infront of her...,"hello PRINCESS"

Stood the Father of MANIK and DEV Malhotra. Smirking at her with his hands folded. Nandini just stared at him with a blank expression, "Yes Mr. Malhotra what can I do for you?"

"How are you Nandini?"

"Cut it and say what is it. I know you came for some want of yours can you speak about it." She just wanted to go out from there, she looked at DEV blankly who was looking at her with an expression which even she couldn't recognize it but she turned her gaze again to his dad.

"I want you to leave my son. As his age is nearing I want him to get married and Settle down instead of pampering a spoilt brat like you. So kindly move away and give me my son back" said straightly looking towards her, and noticing that she didn't responded like assumed amused him and later when heard her saying, "I will. You can go. Don't bother much. He would be there with you soon" that was really shocking to both the men's. But Nandini without showing or saying anything further went away.

While walking she was feeling alot tired and depressed with all this situation. She didn't know what exactly to be done. Thinking about her life and she finally reached her flat only to see 6-7 ladies raising their voice on someone she moved more further to see them raising their voice on Manik and he was helpless not knowing what to say.

All she could here was the ladies saying,

"This boy would be using that innocent girl for his manly desires I am sure"

"Why the hell are you yet bachelor I don't think it is. Us there any reason tht you are being here?"

"Is she a Girl who loves to do such things with a rich guy?"

"This isn't fair you both can't stay here, making us believe that you are brother and sister or whatever it is. Out society have some standards and we don't allow such things over here"

They were literally pointing fingers on both his and hers Character. She was so angry that even she didn't realized what she did further. She just dashed towards the. With an angry face and yelled t them shutting them all for once. Manik was shocked seeing her so angry, and was a lot nervous to looking at her.

The ladies were looking at her with a shocked face interrupting their nonsense.

"What the hell girl is this the way to talk to elders?"

Nandini just took of her bags from her hand and asked Manik to hold it to which he did. She moved further towards The ladies and asked them lightly, "what the he do you want to know? The same thing right what we are, why are we staying here like this? Am I right?"

Her sound was so powerful tht the ladies could only nod so seeing it Nandini continued, "well you guys might have heard about Live-in-relationship am I right? Tho the thing is from last 2 years  are in a live-in-relationship and next week we re going to get married, and yes one more thing I do love to have Sex with him. Aapko koi dikhat he?.... I am doing it with my Boyfriend and my soon to be husband so shut your bloody mouth and get the hell out of my house, this flat is been purchased by us giving our own cash so you aren't anyone to make us run from our own Flat. And this boyfriend of mine is a commissioner tho yaad dilaoo voh Kya Kar sakthe he karke?"

Nandini just glared at them strongly. Manik was shocked looking at Nandini. He couldn't just believe that what just happened he was just looking at her with a blank face. Ladies just looked at each other and went away cursing. Nandini turned around and looked t Manik who was looking at her with an expression which she couldn't decipher. She just pulled her bag from his hold and went I side banging it on the table and drank water till she calmed herself.

Manik just asked, "what was that Nandini? Husband Shaadi? Boyfriend? what the hell?"

"I m sorry but I did what I felt right at that time. Live about me but they didn't have this right to comment on your behavior" Nandini looked at Manik

Manik sighed, "Nandini it was just a matter of time.you just had to ignore it. Abh after week they would again start if they get to know that we aren't married karke"

Nandini finally realized what blunder she created, she just looked at Manik who was just looking at her with a raised eyebrows. Thinking of something she looked at him and going towards him standing in front of him just asked, "will You Marry me?"
