☆Fourth of July☆
Fandom: Gallifrey Falls
Ship: None
Timeline: When Ruby is back to being herself
------------------------------
Kelly's POV:
Not many things could scare me, but this? I couldn't handle this. Ruby and I had been visiting Gravity Falls for the past couple days. As it turns out, today (or tonight) was July 4th, Independence Day. There's nothing wrong with celebrating independence, but why did the main activity have to be shooting fireworks?
The thing is, I saw Gallifrey explode a millon times. I can't watch one firework explode without thinking of my home planet's destruction, and hearing the screams of my race as they were blown to bits.
Now, I was sitting on the bed in the room Ruby and I were given, trying not to have an Anxiety Attack right then and there.
You could have saved them.
Why did you run?
They'll never forgive you.
If Carly knew, she would abandon you.
Ruby is only sticking around to be kind. She wants to get rid of you.
You abandoned your friend and turned him insane. He wants you dead.
Cally and Ruby would never have been cursed if not for your bitterness. You should do them a favor and die.
Draw your blade and kill yourself. You'd be doing them all a favor.
I felt tears begin to slip down my face. Maybe the voices were right.
Ruby's POV:
I sat on the roof with the Pines Family, watching the colorful explosions flashed across the sky, creating light shinning on the fluffy white clouds above. Mabel giggled and Ford rolled his eyes fondly as his brother dished out puns and jokes.
I choked on a laugh as I realized who was missing. Ford and Cal turned to me. "Ruby? What's wrong?" Cal asked. I took a deep breath. "Where's Kelly?" I asked. They both looked around. "Ford, stay here. Cal and I will search the house." I announced, standing up and opening the trap door.
We descended, and walked around, searching for her. Cal stopped at the door to the room Kelly and I were given. I put my ear against the wood and heard a whimper. I tried the handle. Locked.
I summoned my quiver, pulling out an arrow and picking the lock with the point. I opened the door, and saw my oldest sister sitting on her bed, tears streaming down her face and her body racked with silent sobs.
Cal and I entered, closing the door behind us. We rushed to our eldest sibling's aid. I hugged her, whilst Cal rubbed calming circles into her back. Once she'd calmed down, she opened her eyes. "Ruby...? Cal? W-what are you-" She began, but was cut off by another hug. "Why did you have an Anxiety Attack? You haven't had one since we started fighting in the war." I said, pulling out of the hug.
Kelly looked down. "T-the fireworks reminded me of Gallifrey's explosion. I couldn't- I can't-" She whispered, head in her hands. I pulled her hands away. "Kel, I'm sorry. I truely am. But that is in the past now. You can't dwell on the past if you want to move forward. Okay?" I said, softly but firmly.
"Ok." She said. She rubbed her eye and yawned. "Woah. That attack really tired me out." She mumbled, stifling another yawn. I chuckled. "Go ahead and sleep. We'll watch out for ya." I said. She narrowed her eyes and pouted. "I'm not a kid." She said. I rolled my eyes fondly.
She yawned again. "Maybe... for a... little.... while..." She decided sleepily, yawns in between each word. She soon fell asleep, soft snores escaping her slightly open lips. Cal and I lay down on each side of her, comforting her in deadly night.

Hey guys! Happy 4th of July! This time I decided to make more of Kelly and Ruby, as I felt like they needed more screentime? Booktime? I don't know. (Also Cal.)
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making it! Also, thank you guys for 482 reads! I appreciate it! Never be Cruel and Never be Cowardly. Bye!
(P.s: I have taken down my Gallifrey Falls books for the meantime to rewrite the first, since I wasn't satisfied with it. Thank you.)
