To The Past Decade

Guys, this isn't a story. Well, I suppose it could be. It could be a thank you, a cheers, a flashback through the past. No. That isn't what it could be. That's what it is.

So, today, I'm gonna be thanking, cheering, and giving a massive flashback to the past decade.

See, you always hear about the winners and the most famous people on those videos about fixing rewind, and I get why. You can't put everyone in.

And I'm not gonna try to do that. But I'm not gonna talk much about the biggest online, like Shane or Mark. I'm gonna talk about those on Youtube most have never heard of.

Those that have deserved it despite being so small.

And please, add people in the comments that you think deserve to get mentioned that I missed.

So let's do this. Let's remember.

This is the decade that I met my most closest friends in. Kaden, Michael, Charles, Lexie, Kathryn, and Lily. Not only that, I met and then re-met my friend, Megan, not seeing her for 7 years in-between.

I met all my current online friends on Wattpad:

Without them, without my online and real life friends... I never would've grown as much as I have. I never would've written as much, done as much, experienced as much as I have.

I would've never gotten such an amazing girlfriend in Kathryn.

Thank you, guys. I love you all so, so much.

Next, to the ones I watched in the beginning, just when I heard of Youtube and decided to check it out. Two people in particular: Stampylongnose and IBallisticsquid.

I absoultly loved their Minecraft videos and enjoyed watching them so much. I can't describe just how much they helped me and still help me to this day.

Whenever I need to get a project done or calm down from serious anxiety, I turn on one of their videos and feel a lot better afterwards.

This is the decade in which they filmed a lot of their series. Feed the Beast, Quest to Kill The Ender Dragon, Island of Eden, Pixelmon, Race to The Moon, Crazy Craft, Mo' Creatures, and so many others.

And I'm not the only one.

On the first episode of QTKTED on Stampy's Channel, Russian Empire commented:

"This is the man that made my childhood. This is the man who made me play Minecraft. This is the man who made us feel nostalgia when we re-watched him. This is the man who I watched when I was sad. This is the man who inspired to me to build my own lovely word. This is the man."

Fuck, the comments are filled with nostalgia and it makes me want to cry.

This is the decade when they finally started this again. A stream where they looked at their old quest world popped up a while ago and I actually cried.

Thank you, for everything.

SnakeDoctor73, AmyLee33, SalemsLady, BroomyCraft, Mousie, AshDubh, and SuperChache39.

Thank you guys for delivering a great series.

I wish more knew about and remembered you guys.

Onto the small channels I've come across in the past year or two. Danplan, Daniel Thrasher, CalebCity, Overly Sarcastic Productions, SuperCarlinBrothers, and Bobby Duke Arts.

To Danplan: You've helped me explore things I never thought of and never, ever fail to bring a smile to my face. I'm sorry you've been torn apart, but glad good things are rising from the ashes.

To Daniel Thrasher: I always liked piano but never put in the effort to learn. Through your hilarious skits, I've put in that effort and am actually using the small piano I got for Christmas a few years back. I wouldn't have without it.

To CalebCity: You've helped me laugh on hard days. I couldn't have without you.

To Overly Sarcastic: You've taught me more about History and cultures and myths then I've heard from anyone or anything else. And you taught me a few new songs as well.

To SuperCarlinBrothers: You've helped me wonder more and notice more about the world around me. I couldn't repay you.

And, last but not least, to Bobby Duke Arts: I used to think that I had to have the best pencils, the best paints, the best materials, and an artist tablet to be great. Through your art, through your inspiration, you've made me better at my favorite hobby.

Thank you. All of you. For making me happier, kinder, stronger, smarter, better. I honestly wish you had more subscribers because you guys deserve it.

I wish you guys were in the Rewinds, even once. [I also wish that they were better in more recent years]

You deserve all that you have and more.

Next, to the bigger people who still helped shape who I am. To JaidenAnimations, TheOdd1sOut, Matpat, Dan and Phil, and Thomas Sanders.

James and Jaiden, you also helped me improve my art and helped me smile when I needed to. Matpat, you and Austin made me think of the world in an entirely new way. You made me smarter and happier and are how I know a lot more about science then I used to.

Thank you for your fight against cancer.

Dan and Phil, you helped me explore a lot more games and go outside my comfort zone. I would've never been able to have that kind of bravery without it. And your Undertale series always makes me smile.

And Thomas. You introduced me to Pride and helped me learn who I am and that being who I am is okay. I only ever went to a Christian school, despite not believing in any god, where kids treated it as a horrible thing.

Thank you for that.

Now, onto the yet bigger things. Mr. Beast, thank you for TeamTrees. Between you and Ecosia [And several more organizations], the world is healing. You're helping save it and that's amazing. Also- thank you for not being Jake or Logan Paul.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, thank you for Hamilton and being so positive. You've helped me learn so much more about Alexander Hamilton and John Laurens, who I'd barely heard the names of before.

Thank you for teaching me about Hercules Mulligan and Lafayette, both of whom I'd never heard of before at all. Thank you for keeping my anxiety at the back of mind, not at the front.

To the authors of the books that I've read and loved: Thank you for Warriors [Warrior Cats], Wings of Fire, Percy Jackson, Magnus Chase, Kane Chronicles, Trials of Apollo, FoxCraft, Heroes of Olympus, and so many others.

To the TV Shows: Sherlock, BBC Merlin, The Dragon Prince, Doctor Who, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Monty Python's Flying Circus, The IT Crowd, Red Vs Blue, Watership Down, Rick and Morty, Gravity Falls, MythBusters, and Lost In Space.

To the Movies: Forbidden Planet, 1776, Mulan [2008], the MCU, Star Wars, Into The Spiderverse, The Python Movies, Much Ado About Nothin', and more.

To the Games: Undertale, FNAF, BATIM, Minecraft Story Mode, Roblox, and more than I could possibly name.

Thank you all.

You've helped me learn, smile, laugh, and help others.

I'll never forget what you did and will continue to do.

And I'm certain everyone reading this will agree.

To you guys: Thanks for sticking with me. I've been battling a lot of things: writers block, art block, depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

I should be writing a lot more for you guys, but those things and school have really been getting to me. I'll try uploading and trying to get into some kind of schedule, but I can't promise anything.

I'll try, though.

Never be Cruel, and Never be Cowardly.

Until next time.
