"Swara! Can you hear me?", shouted Sanskar worry clearly being heard in his voice.
"Sanskar...Sanskar please help me...I don't know...Ahhhh", this is what Sanskar could hear from the other side of the room.
"Swara, you don't worry I am coming...No one can touch you until I am here", saying which he raced into the room by pushing the door with all his force. He found Swara sitting in a corner folding her legs close to her chest with a tear-stained face. As soon as he came in, she hurried towards him and stood behind him holding his hand tightly.
"Where is he?", asked Sanskar all set for the battle.
Swara pointed to a corner not leaving Sanskar's side and Sanskar immediately blew the HIT which he is holding in his hand killing the cockroach successfully.
"Look Swara, you don't need to fear anymore. He is dead", said Sanskar beaming with pride for which Swara hugged him tightly.
"So, this is what happens after ten days of Lockdown", said Laksh turning the mobile camera towards him before switching off the video recording. As soon as the video is done, both Swara and Laksh started laughing looking at Sanskar's attire.
"Oh my God Sanskar, what are you wearing?", saying which Swara removed his helmet, and Laksh helped him remove the two pillows which he tied as a vest on his T-shirt like a bulletproof jacket and the cricket pads onto his elbows and knees finally the shoes to go with a HIT- cockroach killer in his right hand and a cricket bat in his left hand.
"Stop laughing you both. You will understand its value after looking at the likes and comments received for this video. Everyone will praise my creativity", replied Sanskar raising his collar.
"Hello mister, the idea of taking this video is mine", said Swara.
"Cinematography is mine", butted in Laksh.
"Okay, everyone will get their credit. Now let me edit and upload in our new platform", said Sanskar getting onto the work.
"Hi friends, I hope you are all staying at home and taking care of your families. Our government, doctors, police, and military are doing their part and it is our responsibility to stay indoors and decrease their work to some extent. So, the creative minds of the SM group of companies have come up with an idea to kill your boredom as well as contribute to the PM Cares fund. We are launching a platform named "Do Your Part" where you can upload any funny videos of how you are spending your quarantine time. For every 10 likes on the video, we are going to donate $10 for the PM Cares fund. So, to start with here is the first video from our side with me and my wife Swara Sanskar Maheshwari enacting a small funny skit shot by my brother Laksh Maheshwari. I hope you will enjoy watching it. Looking forward to all your support. Thank you".
With this message, Sanskar clicked on Upload.
In a few days, their platform was a huge success and were getting hundreds of videos every day. As they were scrolling down the comments, they found that there was a common question asking them how they got this amazing idea. So, they decided they would take another video enacting how this idea came out of their boredom.
And the video went on like this.
"Sanskar, I am bored", shouted Swara for the nth time sleeping on the couch with her head upside down and scrolling through her Instagram posts.
"Watch some movie or series", said Sanskar replying to the emails from his clients and employees. Being the CEO of one of the successful companies has kept him occupied in the days of lockdown as well. As all his products run online, his employees could do work from home without any hurdles.
Sanskar along with his wife Swara and his younger brother Laksh who just completed his MBA and was getting trained under Sanskar to join their company, live in a villa in one of the posh colonies of Mumbai. As the spread of the deadly virus Covid-19 is rapid in Maharashtra, the honorable Prime Minister of India has announced 21 days of Lockdown and since then the three are spending time together.
Though the first five days were fun as they binge-watched all the movies and series together, cooked food together, cleaned the house a lot of times just to pass time. By the seventh day, Laksh was shocked to find his room so clean and what was more surprising was it was he who placed all the things in their own places. Fed up of him becoming a good boy, he just came into the hall and slumped on the chair beside the couch.
"Huh, now no one is tagging me in any challenges either. What will I do?", replied Laksh refreshing his Instagram feed for the 100th time.
"Laksh read some good books. It will keep you engaged and give you some nice ideas to improve our business", said Sanskar who hardly gets bored because he has his company as well as two kids (Swara and Laksh) to take care of.
"Bhai, our company is already No.1, now I can't take it any higher by using all my brain. Moreover, you very well know that I am not a theoretical person. Anyways all the novels have been narrated by Bhabhi. So, I don't have anything else to do other than eating your brain", replied Laksh smiling sheepishly.
Swara was switching news channels and in one, she found that the daily wage labor was walking long distances in the hot sun to reach their hometown as they don't have shelter to stay without earning. Also, they were showing poor people in the slum who were suffering from starvation as they don't have enough money to buy essentials.
"Sanskar, we should do something for them", said Swara feeling bad for them.
"Swara, I already donated all our last year's profits to an NGO which is working on getting new medical kits and to our state government to provide basic necessities to the poor. We are doing what all we can dear", said Sanskar smiling at her.
"No Sanskar we can do more", said Swara switching off the TV grabbing the attention of the two Maheshwari's.
As Sanskar closed his laptop and joined her on the couch, she narrated her idea of public Video platform hearing which both were excited.
"Come on Let's get to work", said Swara jumping with excitement.
"And then I shared this idea with our creative team and they came up with this platform in just two days. I must appreciate their efforts. My love for all my employees and their families who have been supporting us all through my success journey. And I would like to thank all those who are staying inside their houses and doing their part in protecting ourselves as well as our country. Let's leave the hospital beds to the needy and support the doctors in a way that I strongly believe one day we will be done with this virus too. Be positive, don't panic, and at the same time don't take it easy. Thank you", saying which Sanskar stopped the recording and uploaded the video with a big Thank You message.
