Very important episodes bolded, semi-important have their numbers italicized. I've added summaries of everything that happens in between important episodes

1 - Rise of the Snakes

(Lloyd unlocks the first two Serpentine tribes and we are given examples of their abilities — Fangpyre's venom can turn humans into Serpentine, Hypnobrai can hypnotize you)

4 - Never Trust a Snake

(Pythor tries to unite the two tribes under his rule, steals an artifact known as the Sacred Flute. Lloyd pranks everyone + other character development)

6 - The Snake King

7 - Tick Tock (Personal favorite episode of the season, v important. events of this episode referred to for the rest of the series)

(ep.s 8 + 9 are semi-important, mostly filler char. developments for Jay/Nya and Cole. It's optional b/c it's not too story-important past Jay and Cole getting their True Potentials. i'm biased towards it tho b/c it was the first episode I ever saw, and in ep. 9 they have to enter a singing+dance competition)

10 - The Green Ninja (getting into finale territory)

11 - All of Nothing

12 - The Rise of the Great Devourer (finale pt. 1)

13 - Day of the Great Devourer (finale pt. 2)

End Season 1

Season 2:

1 - Darkness Shall Rise

Ep.s 2 + 3 (Pirates vs. Ninja and Double Trouble) are optional, semi-important episodes but the info can be gleaned from future episodes. Garmadon gets the Bounty, sends dark clones of the Ninja to Lloyd's old boarding school)

5 - Child's Play (everything until final 5-6 minutes can be skipped if you want)

6 - Wrong Place, Wrong Time

7 - The Stone Army (can skip through boring parts if you'd like)

8 - The Day Ninjago Stood Still

9 - The Last Voyage (Can skip if you want, travel episode w/ some plot dev)

10 - Island of Darkness

11 - The Last Hope

12 - Return of the Overlord (pre-finale)

13 - Rise of the Spinjitsu Master (finale)

Rebooted and most of the next few seasons get a lot more engaging and fun but I hope this helps you get through the beginning!! Good luck friend
