As a new dawn breaks, to let in another day
And we see that the darkness can be kept at bay
Watch the pale skies tainted with crimson streak
For fearful of the twilight, the light we do seek
As the gold sphere travels from east to west and back again,
Night yields to day; light to darkness, in perpetual refrain
Both dawn and dusk are twilight, of flaming crimson colours
Though each heralds an equal period, of differently shaded hours
In spite of the pale moon casting it pearly rays
Startled at the silver shadows that cross our ways
For despite shining stars, we are scared of the night
When our nightmares walk and dreams take flight

This is a reverse poem - Sunrise to sunset up to down and dusk to dawn when read from down to up. That should also excuse the absolute lack of punctuation.
