"Your quirk..?" Shinso echoes back at (Y/N), who sits on the floor before him, an intense gaze focused on him.

"I haven't told the truth about any of it." She says, the resolve evident in her clenching fists. She shakes a little as she waits for Shinso's reply.

"Lied?" He echoes once again.

"It's not healing saliva, it's something, much more. I, thought, you would hate me for it, but I realize now that I was stupid for making that assumption. You yourself would know better than anyone that quirks don't define people." She says, her gaze now angled downwards.

(Y/N) thinks back to the day she saw Shinso on the roof. All those mean comments he had on his page, and he seemed unfazed. Even though she chickened out of giving him his phone back directly and had just turned it into the office, she still knew he was different than what people said he was. She was sure of it, and spending all this time with him proved it.

"I-" She starts, but Shinso cuts her off.

"You don't have to. If you went this long without telling me the truth then you must have a good reason." He says, a bit dismissively.

"No! You can hate me for all care! I just want to be honest at this point! If I tell any more lies they'll all get tangled and I'll never crawl my way out of them!" She exclaims rather passionately, now breathing harder breaths and standing up from her previous sitting position.

Shinso turns back to face her and waits, signaling for her to continue. She sits back down, brushing off invisible dirt awkwardly. 

"I can make whatever I want to happen basically. If I ask a non-living substance to do something or change, it will. It won't work on living material but it works on the unliving material. I can make rocks into money and napkins into spoons and stuff like that." She says, all in one breath.

Wait, when she got her quirk to do her homework, was that Rico doing it? Was he just a great student? (Y/N) stops right there, not wanting to get distracted from the current situation.

"That's..." Shinso starts, but just sits and thinks for a moment instead of finishing his sentence.

(Y/N) waits patiently for his response.

"I don't like that you lied to me, at all. It makes me really, concerned about your morals, but I'm glad you came out and told me. Even if it did take a while. And even if you did lie a lot about it. I can understand where you are coming from..." He says to the girl in front of him.

She starts to burst into tears.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH WAIT-" Shinso panics at her sudden outburst.

"I'm- I'm so glad... that you- you don't hate me!" She sobs, shaking.

Shinso slides off his bed and kneels at her side, embracing her out of instinct. He comforts her, telling her that he's not going to hate her. It's evident to him that she's mentally scarred by some past trauma. He knows what kids are capable of, especially when it comes to different quirks. 

She stops sobbing after a couple of minutes and leans into Shinso in exhaustion. It's late in the evening, and she's worn out from all this emotional stress. Shinso looks down at the situation he's in and blushes. (Y/N) is too tired to notice that the place she resides in, is, without a doubt, at least a little like what a couple would do. She soon falls asleep, content with the fact that her friend doesn't hate her, and all the weight of her secrets off her chest.

Leaving Shinso flustered with two sleeping people in his room, one of them sleeping in his lap now.

"Ahhhhhh" He mutters out in confusion.
