You smile at Shinso. You were glad he agreed to hang out with you early. You didn't know how he would react since you didn't have the best social skills. He was currently sitting on the couch upside down. He sure made himself at home fast. Normally, if you ever went somewhere new, you were stiff as a rock until you had gotten used to the place and the people in it.

You now realize that Shinso is a really laid back person, who can get really serious if needed. But you would never know that by just looking at him, messy hair and dark under eyes. He was flipping through pictures of cats. He seemed kinda bored. 

Want to play a game?

You wanted to speak those words, but your lips kept faltering right before you could get the words out. A game seemed kind of childish. Maybe he didn't play games. All he seemed to do was look at cats.

Suddenly, Shinso drops his phone on the carpet and flips around onto his feet. He brushes the invisible dust off of his clothes.

"Want to play Hide and Seek?" He askes.

You stare at him, and his face goes from confident to doubtful. He seems to be going through the same thoughts as you, about how games are childish to some people.

"I was just about if you wanted to play a game! What a coincidence! Sure, I haven't played it a while, it'll be fun!" You beam up at him, happy you two had similar ideas. He smiles in return, glad that his idea was accepted.

"My house is pretty big, so we can play in here if you want. Plus I only use this room, so the others don't have junk in them and you can go in there," you say. Your house was really empty for its size, but it was still kinda furnished.

Shinso volunteered to count first, and I ran off to find a good hiding spot. It was my house so I should know where all the good spots are.

Wrong.

I never knew it could be this empty in a house. I got frustrated. Why didn't I furnish my house?? I then had an idea. I could stop time to go find a spot! Wait...

That's cheating though.

I never really had a problem with cheating in games before because I thought lowly of myself and the people around me, but I care about Shinso, he's my friend. I don't want to cheat him out of a fair game. 

But it wasn't even fair to him. You owned this house and you couldn't find a hiding spot, so how could he find one? You stop time, not to hide, but to furnish your house. You went around grabbing spoons and forks you didn't really need and turning them into furniture and spots to hide. You put storage containers that made little nooks to hide in and things of the sort in the house and it seemed more like a home to you after. You resume time and rush to find a good spot in your newly furnished house.

You ended up in a spot under the stairs that you could get to if you really squeezed. You doubted that he would find you. The dust under the stairs tickled your nose and you almost sneezed, which would have given your position away to the now searching boy in the house. He was walking around, checking rooms and nooks, looking for you. You technically could go invisible, since you could modify yourself, but you didn't want to cheat. Now that you think on it, your quirk is really overpowered. Who comes up with these things, really?

You sit, quiet as possible in your spot. He can't find you until...

You freaking phone goes off! Someone is calling you!!

"Found you." He says as he points to the area you are in. 

"You can't see me! You only knew because my phone went off!" You say as you answer the call, swiping the green phone icon on your screen.

"You're in danger." Says a raspy voice from the other side.

"Wait, what? Who is this?" You question immediately, forgetting your squabble with Shinso. You are only half out of your hiding spot, so you look pretty stupid, but that's the least of your concerns right now.

"You're in danger, don't go to school Monday." The voice says, and it sounds like they have sand in their throat or something, like how can someone's voice be that raspy? 

They hang up, leaving you with the dull dial tone of the phone. 

"What was that about?" Asked Shinso, seeing the worry spawled across my face.

"I think I'm in danger."
