When Shinso re-entered the room, he saw Rico curled up in a blanket, with a gummy bear half in his mouth. Confused, he turned to (Y/N), who only snickered and went back to smoothing some bedding out. Shinso shrugged it off and sat on his bed, pulling out his phone. He opened up Neko Atsume and started playing. (Y/N) soon got bored without Rico to talk to, and she wanted to talk about some stuff with him, but he was out cold in his blanket burrito. She glanced at Shinso and looked away quickly.

(Y/N) was so confused as to what to do about this whole situation. Moving and attending AU was such a crazy experience, and she wasn't ready! And, her feelings were all over the place, with Deku, Shinso, and now Rico. Who did she like, if any? A loud sigh escaped her lips, and Shinso looked up. (Y/N) didn't see him look up at her, so he kept staring. His cheeks' color started to shift to a peachy red as he looked at her more. She had changed into a tank top and some shorts as her pajamas and the shorts were kinda....short.

Shinso didn't know how to feel. The girl he had slight feelings for was sitting in his room in her pajamas with another guy he literally just met curled up next to her as she was scrolling through her phone. He knew that if he was to get a wink of sleep that night, he would have to find out where they stood with each other. Were they really just best friends? If so, why hadn't (Y/N) mentioned anything about him? Did she not want him finding out about Rico? Did (Y/N) really trust him?

So many thoughts swirled through Shinso's mind as he gazed at (Y/N). His gaze shifted over to Rico at some point. The boy looked so different. Many people had features related to their quirks, and some people looked really weird, like the chief of police he had seen on TV. His head was a dog's head. It kinda freaked Shinso out. But Rico, he looked so normal, yet...

Something about him was off. He couldn't put his finger on it, not quite. The boy had two small wings sprouting from his back, making him look almost like a little angel. Was he really an angel? He did save (Y/N). Or, did he?

Thinking back on it...

What really happened back there?

--FLASHBACK VIA SHINSO'SpOINT OF VIEW--

(Y/N)! She didn't even see that car! I have to do something!

I ran as fast as I could towards her, all the while yelling at her to move, to run. Why couldn't she hear me?! Why can't she hear me, or notice that car coming at her? Is she too lost in thought? Suddenly, she turns and sees the car, and I yell louder and leap at her, hoping I'll make it in time. But, in a flash, she's right in front of me, and I crash into her, but she holds her ground. And there's this guy next to her. They don't say anything for about three seconds before (Y/N) laughs nervously and thanks the boy for saving her.

Where...?

Where did he come from?!!!

Did Shinso just not see Rico? He couldn't really remember. He wasn't paying that much attention to who was there...

Something was up, and he needed to know what it was. Glancing at Rico, who was still out like a light, he decided to ask (Y/N). She would tell him the truth, right?

Wait... would she tell him the truth? She lied about her quirk, but she was embarrassed, and he could relate to that feeling, a lot. Did he have the right to judge her on that when he used his quirk for some selfish stuff before? Could he really tell her what to say to him? He can't even remember if she knows what his quirk is.

"Hey Shinso, want some gummy bears?" (Y/N) says abruptly.

Shinso jumps a little, spooked by the question that sliced the silence in half.

"Sure, why not. Where did you get those though? You haven't even opened your bag yet."

(Y/N) tenses up and laughs a bit before stopping. An awkward exchange of eye darting ensued before she just said she had them in her jacket.

Why was she so nervous to tell him that? Were they expired or something?

He was now a bit hesitant to take the gummies. (Y/N) noticed this and gave up, setting the open bag on the floor between them.

"You can take some if you want. I have something important to talk about." The girl says with a now serious expression planted onto her face.

"Oh. Ok then." Shinso says, a bit startled at how the atmosphere changed so quickly.

"It's about my quirk."
