C13: My Voice Out
A/n: I know, it’s kinda late, yes. I’ve been pretty busy lately because of the rush we’re having in class. As you can see, there is only a week left before our last semester ends, and I’m very excited. This practically means, ladies and gentlemen that before closing, I will be a little less active on wattpad starting today until the school year ends. So be patient til the last my young pinksters, I will be back, don’t ya all worry, ok?
Stay patient, stay strong, stay determined! (Our TPC Motto! Remember this guyz!)
Love ya all, and enjoy this compensation chapter…
Also, please prepare this song: “Reflection by Christina Aguilera”

Did we mention how the human girl loved Sound?
Yes, it seems that there is a possible way for her to voice out, for everybody to hear the unusually soft sound that they knew nothing about. And this microphone that the yellow lizard is handing might be the key to do just that. On one condition, however. They could hear her, understand her, could only voice out… Music. Her singing. She loved sound, but this was the first time, she felt embarrassed by thinking of singing.
“So lemme get this straight. Ya could give Frisk the ability to speak out, I mean, just… Sing, out?” the skeleton asked, clarifying, as Alphys bluntly nodded. “Well I guess this is enough. All we really needed was for her to sing in our club’s audition anyway.”
“MTT C-club? Our s-s-school’s m-music c-club?” stuttered Alphys in disbelief, “B-b-but, it t-takes s-skills to e-e-even g-get in th-there!”
“Oh, ya don’t know yet, Alph, but this girl right here, sounded even better Chara!” he exclaimed proudly. ‘Chara? Chara could sing?’ asked Frisk, shocked. “Yep, she could. She is one of our best members actually. No wonder why you sing so good, you take it from your foster twin, who unusually looks similar to you.” he chuckled, but hit the mark.
Similar? That is odd. The Dreemurrs adopted Frisk to their family only a few days ago, but why does it seem so coincidental that the sisters that were likely to not know much about each other looked alike, like they were meant to be sisters? On the other case, all the goodness that Sans once knew about Chara seemed to drift away, and Frisk looked as if the goodness belonged to her. Is there something he’s been missing?
Shaking off the feeling of suspicion, he looked down to his watch to see the time getting late. “We gotta go if we wanna catch up before the bot even gets his ‘beauty sleep’.” he said, thanking Alphys, and teleported both the human and himself to wherever Metatton is.
“Sans, darling! What are you doing here so late at night? Is Papyrus looking for me? ~” a metallic voice echoed in the room they teleported to. They teleported to a bedroom. Metatton’s bedroom. His pink and black modern themed chamber was lit by lanterns and dazzling spotlights. You could see a shelf filled with various awards and trophies for entertainment. The android was after all the soul star of the Underground. The skeleton growled after spotting a picture frame of Papyrus on his pink dresser, which he nervously hid in one of the drawers.
“No, and he’ll never will!” barked Sans, looking very annoyed, which scared the robot a bit. Trying to avoid the skeleton’s hostile gaze, his gaze fell on the human behind him, who hid shyly. He motioned at the cowering girl, observing her from head-to-toe. “And who might you be? ~” he asked flirtatiously, his eyes filled with wonder.
“She’s Frisk.” shrugged Sans, moving her behind him, “And she’d like to audition for our club.”
“Frisk? Darling, you look absolutely gorgeous! ~” he grinned mischievously, which made the girl blush slightly. The skeleton noticed this, and he clearly didn’t like it, so yelled, “What do ya think ya’re doin’?”
“Admiring the gentle beauty she’s giving. That splendor could turn any guy upside down. Even a someone like me! ~” exclaimed Metatton, not taking his eyes off her, which only made Sans infuriated. “How dare you talk like that! Get the f*ck off! I don’t even care if she can’t audition or not, as long as you dare try to do something, dirty brother stealer!” yelled Sans, fuming.
‘Sans…’ a soft voice rang in his skull, surprising him to gaze at Frisk, ‘Calm down. He’s not gonna do anything, so please, don’t let your hate win you over.’ And she knew she’s right. Sure, Metatton could be flirty at times, but she already understood back in the Underground that this was his nature.
And at this, he slowly calmed down. But he couldn’t stop glaring at the robot.
“Ahem. You could be a great star, Frisk! You already got the looks. But of course, your voice will be the one to defend that look. Let’s see if you deserved to have that radiance! ~” Metatton exclaimed, adding, “Oh, and one more thing. Sans, darling… Don’t worry that I might turn into a hideous man, because my love for your younger brother still remains sincere. ~”
“Thanks.” said Sans, but after realizing what he said, he quickly fumed, “Why you…”
“Now, we should not waste time! I will be filming this one contestant event, and will be on air in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! ~...”
Instantly, they were transported to a whole new area… The auditorium. Sans was shocked to see him seated in front-row, just as Frisk was surprised to be on the center of the stage. At the bottom was Metatton and Napstablook, who appeared to be sleeping.
“Good evening to all of you, ladies and gentlemen. This is the most fabulous star of the Underground speaking, and we are here today to watch a last-minute audition for the acceptance of the MTT Club! Tonight, a very attractive brunette human girl will be joining us on the stage. Will she prove to us the value of her beauty? Or will she be considered as a nobody but just lovely? Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome and put your hands together for, Frisk Mercy Dreemurr!”
After the ‘over-exaggerated’ introduction, the robot winked at Frisk, giving her a thumbs-up before coming down the stage. Unfortunately, that introduction caused her to shiver. She stood there, nervous, her grip on her new purple microphone tightened. It was all too sudden for her. She thought auditioning in front of him was already enough, but now she’s in camera where everyone in the surface, and who knows there could be someone in the Underground watching her right now.
She glanced at Sans who sat front-row, who seemed to look just as startled as she is. Hopefully, he’ll save her from humiliation. The skeleton was still in a daze, and after snapping to reality, he looked at Frisk, finally making out what’s going on. The silence kicked in, a minute is almost coming, yet singing she is what she did not start yet. She was shaking now, feeling the tears inside her eyeballs, conscious of what everyone might say in the end, or even during this silence, until…
*3, 2, 1, play Reflection! *
“Ya can do this, Honey!” Sans shouted, cheering her on, and giving her the biggest smile he could ever make. With that, she smiled back, holding back her tears, as she moved her mic to a much comfortable position. Closing her eyes, she began to sing…
Look at me,
You may think you see
Who I really am,
But you’ll never know me,
Every day,
It’s as if I play a part,
Now I see,
If I wear a mask
I can fool the world,
But I cannot fool my heart…
Who is that girl I see?
Staring straight back at me?
When will my reflection show,
Who I am inside?
Singing calmed her nerves down, finding unusual comfort to its melody. She closed her eyes, relaxing, smiling to herself. And as she did, she didn’t even notice people, er, monsters quietly seating themselves on the empty rows of seats in the auditorium. Their interest and the enchantment of her unexpectedly smooth voice draw them towards the area where it all happened.
I am now,
In a world where I
Have to hide my heart
And what I believe in
But somehow
I will show the world
What’s inside my heart
And be loved for who I am…
Who is that girl I see?
Staring straight back at me?
Why is my reflection,
Someone I don’t know?
Must I pretend that I’m
Someone else for all time?
When will my reflection show,
Who I am inside?
There’s a heart that must be free
To fly,
That burns with a need to know
The reason why
Why must we all conceal,
What we think, how we feel?
Must there be a secret me,
I’m forced to hide?
I won’t pretend that I’m,
Someone else for all time,
When will my reflection show,
Who I am inside?
When will my reflection show,
Who I am… Inside?

Unfortunately for him, it became a habit of his to lighten up a blue hue on his cheekbones whenever he hears the human girl sing. It’s as if the same effect when having goosebumps. This must be an alternative for him since he’s a hairless skeleton. He just couldn’t believe that she could actually tame him like this in just one look.
All his life, he was afraid of women. He doesn’t know why, but something about them feels really off. Girls are too clingy, in his opinion (I’m a girl. Yes.) but why must they stick too much to other people? Why must they be nosy and at the same time, noisy? He noticed how this tactic they use could actually result to friendship, or even further to everyone. This is just the reason why he didn’t like them. He doesn’t trust them. He knew for himself that every girl hides a secret, mostly ugly ones. And Frisk is no exception to that, he frowned. There are a lot of questions in his mind, why is she mute when she clearly knows how to talk, could she be hiding something too? He doesn’t know for sure. It’s very hard to interpret a very nice person, no, the nicest person he ever knew.
Glancing back, he focused his gaze back on Frisk, who was about to finish the song.
“Who I am… Inside?”
There was silence. Everyone in this once empty now crowded auditorium were in awe. They were all speechless to actually hear the mute Frisk sing. And because of the much more unexpected sweet voice, they all clapped and cheered on. Sans was the proudest of them, jumping to the air, clapping loudly.
“Way to go, Honey!” he yelled.
His grin grew even wider when he noticed her blush from the sound of her nickname. She wasn’t used to it, even now, so it will take some time for her to adjust, but that’s okay.
She can take all the time she wants.
