"Mateo, you need to go check on Jolie." I walked into his room without knocking.
Mateo sat up from his bed. "What happened?" He jumped out of bed, grabbing his pants from his chair.
"Calm down, Mateo, Siara just instilled some fears inside of her—long story short, she thinks you're only with her because you pity her, so if you're gonna propose to her do it now before she ends it."
"That fucking bitch," Mateo mumbled under his breath. "I told you Siara was fucking annoying. You both sit there and let that spoiled brat bully you."
I sighed, watching him scramble around. "We're all spoiled."
"No, we're not. Not you, not Jolie, not her sisters, and not me or Marisol. Just her. Giancarlo and Valerie are the only ones that turned out right."
"She is human, she can't be perfect," I argued. "Her flaw is that whenever she gets angry she says things she doesn't mean."
Mateo scoffed. "Yeah? Now I have to go and make sure my girlfriend doesn't break my heart because of her." He brushed past me, the ring tucked safely in his pocket as he left.
Why is everyone getting mad at me?
"Excuse my eavesdropping," Marisol sighed, appearing from behind the door like a creep. "But, Siara...hasn't made a very good impression on me. From calling Jolie out to god forbid almost ruining Mateo and Jolie's relationship and for what?"
I shook my head, heading toward my room as Marisol followed me. "She's still stuck with the no fucking each other's brothers."
"That is why you are so afraid!" Marisol realized. "I mean I know you would be hesitant to tell your friend a mistake you made that might upset them—but you're afraid. You, Azura Vega, are afraid of Siara."
I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "I'm afraid to lose the relationship, not her."
Marisol hummed. "But, I mean, Jolie and Mateo aren't just fucking around. They have been dating for three years."
I groaned tiredly, wiping my makeup off. "Marisol, I don't know what's going on in her head, ok? You and Mateo need to fuck off, respectfully. I came to Mateo to make sure that he saves the relationship, what more can I do?"
"You and Jolie can stop being friends with her."
I glared at her. "You're asking me to throw away more than a decade's worth of friendship because of a mistake."
"You made a mistake too. Would she forgive you? Or will she throw away decades worth of friendship because of it without hesitating."
I frowned, looking away. "I just wanna be alone with my thoughts." I whispered.
Marisol sighed, kissing the top of my head. "I love you, chica. Don't take what I said as malice, but advice." She whispered before leaving my room.
Everyone thinks I'm so strong, I'm such a bad bitch, in reality, I'm just a bitch who likes beer.
It's all a facade.
It's starting to seem like guilt is haunting me from all corners of my life.
Guilty because I was the reason Alejandro, Marisol, and Mateo's parents divorced.
Guilty because Lucia treats me like her baby even though I'm proof of her husband cheating on her.
Guilty because my siblings love me despite how I broke the family apart.
Guilty because I slept with my best friend's brother.
Guilty because I barely stood up for Jolie.
Guilty.

"¡Azura, levántate! ¡¿Qué es esto?!" (Azura, get up! What is this?!)
Fuck.
My head was pounding as I slowly opened my eyes. "Hola Lucía, ¿cómo estás?" (Hi, Lucia, how are you?) I said groggily.
Lucia crossed her arms. "Why are you lying on the kitchen floor...with beer bottles?! Oh, Señor, por favor ayúdame con este niño." (Oh, Lord, please help me with this child.)
I sighed, of course, Mateo left me here. After Marisol went to sleep I came down here to drown myself. Mateo either never came back or ignored me passed out on the kitchen floor. "I was having too much fun," I lied.
Lucia pinched the bridge of her nose, shaking her head. "Vamos, levántate antes de que te vea tu padre." (Let's go, get up before your father sees you.)
My eyes widened as I scrambled up. "¡Mierda!" (Fuck!) I ran from the kitchen and up the stairs as quickly as I could.
"Azura?" Marisol looked at my disheveled state in confusion. "It's nine am, where did you go?"
I sighed, shaking my head. "I got drunk when you fell asleep, where the fuck is Mateo?!"
Marisol rolled her eyes. "He proposed last night and he stayed at Jolie's."
I gasped, running back to my room where my phone was charging.
Ten missed calls from Jolie ❤️
One missed call from Mateo 😒
Fifteen messages from Jolie ❤️
Five messages from Mateo 😒
Three missed calls from Siara ♥️
Everyone is getting fucking married, oh my fucking god.
I hurriedly refreshed myself, throwing on a classy fit before calmly walking down to meet my father in the living room.
"Hello, papá. Hello, Lucia." (Dad.) I smiled at both of them, Lucia amusingly shaking her head at me.
"Hello, Azura, is Marisol here?" Dad asked.
I already knew the drill. Marisol has been hiding from Papa when she can because she chose not to marry. "Nope, just me," I lied.
Lucia already knew as well so she nodded. "Tell her that I said hi, I haven't seen my oldest daughter in a while."
I smiled, nodding. "Of course, Lucia."
"Yes, tell her I share the same sentiment," Dad rumbled, sitting up straight. "Anyway, Azura, I came to see you because of that generous offer Tommaso gave you." He began. "I–"
"You don't want me to take it? I won't! Absolutely!" Anything to get away from Giancarlo. I said in excitement.
Dad furrowed his brows, looking at Lucia who just shrugged. "Are you taking drugs, Azura?"
My eyes widened. "What?! Dad, no! Why would you even suspect that?"
"You've been acting weird, mija."
I chuckled, shaking my head to try and throw him off of me. "No, no, just a couple of drinks here and there, no drugs of any sort."
"Hmm," Lucia gave me a look when I said 'a couple of drinks,' but I ignored it.
Dad hummed, believing me for now. "I want you to accept the offer. It will be a great chance for you to learn Giancarlo's ruthless ways in business. I had to tell you in person because I know you don't like him."
My heart rate spiked. Does dad know?! "H–How–?"
Dad waved me off. "Giancarlo is standoffish, a bit rude. I know you girls hate that kind of thing."
I sighed, nodding my head to myself in relief that he didn't know.
"Great, you'll do it. I'll tell Tommaso right now!" Dad boomed startling Lucia.
"Wait, no I–" I sighed, watching him walk off, phone in hand and Lucia in the other. My dumbass. At this point, I should just put Giancarlo's dick in my mouth.
see you next Sunday!
