Porscha Crystal couldn't lie. She was spoiled but not in the way you think. Her father was rich enough to buy her toys and build her castles. He had the ability to get her out of trouble if she'd ever gotten into it. So, money problems were never an issue for her since her father was filthy rich. However, the identity that she could never shake off was the fact that she's the daughter of Jimmy Crystal. That's her only identity and the only thing she's known for. And her father wouldn't let her be anything more than that.
Porscha thought she understood why.
But as she's growing older, she became confused as to the reason why her father never told her that he owned the theater, let alone, have people inside working on a show.
She couldn't wait to see if she'll ever be a part of it.
At the dinner table in the middle of the night, her father wasn't present yet as his assistant, Jerry, helped prepare the meal while her bodyguards stood by her to watch her eat.
Porscha stared at her food, playing the conversations she could have with her father while Jerry left the dining room after he prepared a meal for her and her father.
She looked at the empty seat next to her while clearing her throat to play a conversation.
"Hey, Dad, I was wondering if you could let me join the show," Porscha talked to the empty seat.
Porscha cleared her throat while trying to imitate her father's voice, to which she didn't do a good job of and her security guards almost giggled a little. "What? You can't join the show. That's preposterous."
Porscha leaned back and sniffled, trying to make herself cry. "Please, Daddy, I beg of you." Porscha's body went stiff as she tried to wait for the tears to come.
However, her bodyguards stared at her in concern.
"Are you having a stroke, ma'am?" one of her security guards questioned Porscha.
"I'm trying to cry here," Porscha answered while attempting to summon the tears. However, the tears never came. Porscha groaned to herself while taking out the eye drops and using them on her eyes to fake the tears. "But, Daddy, I beg of you!"
Her fake tears were streaming down her cheeks but her voice couldn't capture the sadness in her tone. Porscha sighed deeply and wiped the tears away.
"Okay, maybe not cry, that's too much work," Porscha muttered to herself.
"What's too much work?"
Porscha gasped as she saw that her father entered the dining room with his briefcase. The wolf hid her eyedrop immediately. "Oh, nothing."
Jimmy, Porscha's father, arched a brow to notice tear marks on her cheeks. "Have you been crying?"
"No, no, I was using clear drops to clean my eyes out," Porscha stated with a little nervous chuckle. "It leaked and it made it look like I was crying."
Jimmy shrugged his shoulders. "Alright then." Jimmy took a seat next to his daughter while setting his briefcase down. "So, I got some interesting news."
"There's a new opening part for the show?" Porscha assumed with a bright smile and her tail wagging.
Jimmy shook his head. "No, your in-laws are wanting to have dinner with us over the weekend."
Porscha groaned deeply. "You know, I'm not married yet."
"You will be," Jimmy stated as a fact.
"But what if it's not something I want?" Porscha questioned her father. "I can't just marry somebody I just met at lunch one day. If I wanna marry somebody, I wanna marry them because I love them."
Jimmy chuckled. "Where did you get it from? A Disney show? Look, honey, this is going to be beneficial for you since you'll never run out of money and your fiance will take great care of you."
"You do realize that both you and his parents forced both of us together, right?"
"Porscha—"
"Look, I know that you want me to have this perfect life but what if I want something else?"
"Something else? Like what? I'll give you anything you want."
"I want to be part of the show—"
"Except that."
Porscha flicked her ears in irritation. "But you just said—"
"Honey, I meant things not commitments. Being part of the show is going to take a lot of commitment. I don't think you're ready for that."
"Yet you think I'm ready for marriage?"
"I know you are because I made sure of it, you see," Jimmy stated while scrolling through his phone and then looking up at his daughter. "Your wedding dress will be ready in a couple of weeks and before you know it, you'll be wed in a month."
Porscha sat back and rolled her eyes with her arms crossed. "I don't even want to get married. Come on, Dad, what if I can make you proud by being part of the show?"
"That's a no."
"Why do you not want me in the show?" Porscha asked, now a bit more furious since her father won't provide her a reason to not be in the show.
"It's going to get in the way of your wedding and I don't want you associating yourself with the group."
"The theater group from a local town?"
"Yes."
"But they seemed like nice people."
Jimmy chuckled darkly. "Honey, everyone will seem nice till you get to know them. And eventually, their little 'nice' mask will fall off and reveal their true horrible selves. And that's why I don't want you anywhere near the theater group. Now, eat up and get some sleep."
Jimmy began munching on his dinner while Porscha could only stare down at her food.
Porscha frowned while her ears flinched back and her tail wasn't wagging anymore. "You know what, I'm not hungry."
Porscha excused herself from the table and went upstairs through the mansion. She sauntered into her room and closed her door with a sign that said, "Keep Out".
Porscha entered her bedroom and smiled faintly to see all the pretty lights decorated when she's a kid. She remembered her mother helping her set up those pretty colorful lights shining around the head of her bed.
Her bedroom walls were painted deep sea blue while her bed was covered in pink sheets. Whenever she'd go to sleep at night, the little lights decorated around the headboard of her bed will light up as she would fall asleep into the night.
Porscha knew her father never liked to talk about her mother but her bedroom was full of memories of her mother. Porscha could only smile before losing it at the words her father had spoken to her about the mask and the theater group. They seemed friendly, especially that sheep guy. What's his name? Eddie? Yeah, Eddie. He seemed sweet.
Porscha sat on the bed while staring at her drawings that were framed that she made when she's little. They weren't as good as it was when she created them but a sense of nostalgia would come back to her every now and then when she looked at them. She shifted her glance down at the white painted nightstand next to her and pulled out a drawer where an album was kept. She pulled out the photo album and opened it to where she could see her mother's younger self. She seemed carefree and happy throughout the pictures, especially when she married her father. That wedding photo of her father and her mother didn't look forced at all.
Her mother still had a smile on her face when Porscha was born. Porscha looked through to find that her mother used to be a performer before she died due to a stage accident that happened a long time ago. Porscha remembered hearing the news that day. She remembered grieving for her mother. She remembered her father holding her as she cried into his chest.
Ever since then, she felt like her father grew more cold and distant towards everybody...including her.
Porscha frowned at the photos taken of her mother on her deathbed. Porscha sighed deeply while looking at all the posters of musicals she watched on Broadway when she's a child and teenager that she would beg her father to take her every once in a while. She dreamed to be a part of the theater. Any kind of theater but her father would never let her. And she never knew why.
Maybe her father feared that he would lose his daughter in a stage accident the same way he lost his wife. Or maybe he just didn't want her to be part of anything that he's doing. Either way, there was that unanswered yearning that Porscha stuffed away until that day when she went into Jimmy's theater. When she realized her father owned the theater, the doors opened to endless opportunities that she wanted to explore so badly.
Porscha closed the book and leaned her head back against the headboard, her eyes fluttering close. She rested her head for a moment as the night finally settled in. Porscha looked through the photo album again to see her mother in a performer's outfit, doing amazing stunts in the shows.
"Wow, Mom, you're amazing!"
"Not as amazing as you, my little angel."
"I want to go perform just like you one day."
"You will someday, sweetheart. You will someday."
Porscha smiled to hear her mother's voice. Her eyes shifted back up at all the theatrical musicals and posters she'd seen and gone to.
Porscha frowned again while looking through the photo album and just stared at the photo of her mother in a Clay Calloway shirt with yellow jeans, standing backstage with a bright smile on her face.
An idea just occurred to her as she bit her lip with a small smile and got off of her bed. She explored her closet, which was full of dresses her mother used to wear as she went through each dress to find what she's looking for. Her smile brightened once she found it as she pulled up the blue familiar shirt with the face of Clay Calloway and yellow jeans to work with.
Porscha smiled as she undress, starting with her jeans. Once her old jeans collapsed on the floor, she lifted her feet up one at a time to get out of those jeans and put on the yellow jeans her mother would wear. After she put it on, she took off her shirt to put on the Clay Calloway shirt. She smiled to herself that it fit...just a little too big for her. She tucked the shirt ends into her pants while nodding a bit in satisfaction.
Porscha sat in front of the mirror of her vanity and leaned in close to do her eye shadow and eyelashes. She puckered up her lip to put on lipstick and a little lip gloss to make her lips sparkle a little. Porscha smirked while putting on her blush. The wolf had done her make-up as she realized that the sun was rising.
Porscha took the opportunity to lock her bedroom door, gather up the sheets from both her bed and in her closet, and tie them together to make a rope. She tied the end of the bedsheet rope to the bedpost as she opened the window with a bundle of them over her shoulder and threw them out of her bedroom window. She noticed it touching the ground as she smiled in determination and stared out of the window.
She frowned while singing a bit to herself.

"Am I wrong for thinking out the box from where I stay?
Am I wrong for saying that I'll choose another way?"
Porscha glanced back into her bedroom as the sun was rising steadily as she smiled and sing to herself.
"I ain't trying to do what everybody else doing
Just cause everybody doing what they all do."
Porscha turned forward and began to climb down the rope she made with an adventurous smile on her face.
"If one thing I know, how far would I grow?
I'm walking down this road of mine, this road that I call home."
Porscha's feet hit the ground as she began to sprint away from the house with a bright smile on her face. She jumped through the fields and over the fence only to almost slip downhill. Her voice chirped when she ran downhill towards Redshore City.
"So am I wrong for thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong for trying to reach the things that I can't see?
But that's just how I feel, that's just how I feel
That's just how I feel trying to reach the things that I can't see."
As Porscha continued to run through the city, a local ice cream elephant known as Alfonso was serving ice cream near the theater with a wistful gaze up at the skies.
He sang in the most beautiful voice while shifting his stare at the theater.
"Am I tripping for having a vision?
My prediction; I'mma be on the top of the world."
Alfonso chuckled as he picked up the trash in a little dance step and smiled as he turned to see Meena from inside of the theater, dancing with a blond yak who seemed full of himself.
Alfonso smiled with a blush at her but he widened his eyes in realization while shaking his head.
"Hope you, hope you don't look back, always do what you decide
Don't let them control your life.
That's just how I feel!
Fight for yours and don't let go, don't let them compare you, no
Don't worry, you're not alone."
Unknowingly, Porscha and Nooshy joined in from different places without knowing Alfonso was even singing.
"That's just how we feel!"
Alfonso twirled in the small outside dining by his blue ice cream truck while singing his heart out.
"Am I wrong for thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong for trying to reach the things that I can't see?
But that's just how I feel, that's just how I feel
That's just how I feel trying to reach the things that I can't see."
Meanwhile, Nooshy was under the bridge in the early morning and practiced the moves Johnny was supposed to do before he goes to meet up with her in the later afternoon. She began to sing to herself while preparing for her lesson.
"If you tell me I'm wrong, wrong.
I don't wanna be right, right.
If you tell me I'm wrong, wrong.
I don't wanna be right."
Porscha and Alfonso joined in from two different places with Porscha heading towards the theater ahead of her.
"If you tell me I'm wrong, wrong.
I don't wanna be right, right.
If you tell me I'm wrong, wrong.
I don't wanna be right."
Nooshy looked out into the city streets with the cars passing by her while the snow lynx stood on top of the cement wall and sat on it while her voice harmonize the last chorus.
"Am I wrong for thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong for trying to reach the things that I can't see?
But that's just how I feel, that's just how I feel
That's just how I feel trying to reach the things that I can't see, see, see."
In three different places, the three animals sang with harmonizing voices passionately.
"Am I wrong for thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong for trying to reach the things that I can't see?
But that's just how I feel,
That's just how I feel
That's just how I feel
That's just how I feel trying to reach the things that I can't see."
~.~
Alfonso smiled brightly after the song while looking ahead with a hopeful gaze.
"Yo, Alfonso, whatcha doin' singing?!" Alfonso heard his coworker shouting from the ice cream truck.
"Sorry, I'll get back to work," Alfonso stated with a nervous chuckle while cleaning up the trash.
What he didn't notice was Meena coming out with her pink sweater and blue jeans without being in costume and in make-up, trying to approach behind him. She pursed her lip while walking towards the ice cream truck with a sad sigh, too afraid to pursue Alfonso.
Alfonso heard a couple of footsteps behind him but he continued to pick up the trash.
"C-Can I have strawberry cheesecake?" Meena requested to the ice cream worker.
Alfonso gasped in recognition of that sweet meek voice and the order. He turned his head to find her again but this time, she's in a regular clothes. He could've sworn he saw her in the dress inside of the theater with the yak. She must've changed out pretty quickly.
"Meena?" Alfonso recognized.
Meena gasped and glanced at him with a blush on her face and a shy wave. "H-Hi..."
"Hey," Alfonso said while leaning up against the ice cream truck. However, he stumbled to the side and almost falling on his face.
Meena gasped as Alfonso shot straight back up on his feet with a plastered grin.
"Are you okay?" Meena asked in concern.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine since you're here—I mean, I'm not injured at all," Alfonso said while trying to shake off the fall.
Alfonso's co-worker, who's an ox, noticed Alfonso trying to flirt with her while stepping away from the elephants and began making ice cream for Meena.
"So...uh, you recognized me without the dress and the make-up?" Meena uttered, surprised that he recognized her in regular clothes.
Alfonso shrugged his shoulders. "Yep. Uh, I remembered that being your favorite ice cream and...and I thought it was you."
Meena smiled softly at him. "Not much of a goddess, huh?" She was teasing him a little.
"You don't have to get all dolled up to be a goddess," Alfonso complimented genuinely.
Meena blushed as she felt her heart pounding again. "I-I'm taking a break right now. D-Do you want to hang out for a little bit?"
Alfonso grinned. "Sure."
After Meena bought her ice cream, Alfonso received a break from work since they're not that many people coming as both of the elephants sat together and began talking.
Meanwhile, Mizuki was looking for Meena everywhere in the theater. How can anyone lose an elephant? Mizuki sighed deeply at herself as she heard laughter from outside. It sounded like Meena's laugh. What's making her laugh? The antelope went to investigate as she peeked outside to find Meena sitting across from the elephant ice cream vendor, chuckling at each other's words.
"So, let me get this straight," Alfonso, the male elephant, said with a chuckle. "So, you knocked down an entire building—just by your singing voice?"
Meena nodded her head. "Yep, and that's why I don't have a microphone in front of my face."
Alfonso smiled more. "Wow, that's pretty awesome!"
"Well, it's open air and all there was is rubble. The streetlights were also out and the car alarms went off because of my voice," Meena added.
"Wow, that's amazing," Alfonso said with a dumb little smile. But he cleared his throat. "Well, for your show, I want to be in the front row so that I can watch you."
"I would love to see you there," Meena stated happily.
Alfonso nodded his head. "Then I shall be there." The male elephant looked at his watch with a sigh. "It's time to go, isn't it?"
Meena sadly nodded. "But we can hang out sometime when we're not busy. Hopefully, I'll see you when the show comes on."
"I'll definitely be there," Alfonso said with a blush.
Meena smiled softly as she stood up from her seat and turned to walk away. Mizuki cornered a soft smirk as Meena noticed Mizuki and froze like a deer in headlights.
"You're needed in wardrobe," Mizuki stated sweetly.
Meena nodded her head with her ears covering her face as the elephant went inside and passing by Mizuki.
Alfonso noticed Mizuki with a small wave. The antelope waved back and headed back inside to follow Meena.
Mizuki caught up to Meena with a casual smirk. "Who's that?"
Meena gasped while blushing madly. "Oh...his name is Alfonso. I-I met him the other day."
Mizuki smirked more. "You like him?"
"W-What? Oh, uh—"
"It's okay," Mizuki stated. "Just because you're partnered with Darius, doesn't mean you're going to be with him in real life. It's only a show. And Alfonso's cute by the way."
Meena blushed more. "Uh—Uh..."
"Don't worry about it," Mizuki uttered gently. "You guys just look cute together."
"Thanks." Meena quickly headed to the wardrobe area with Mizuki smiling gently at the shy elephant girl finally falling in love.
~.~
"Alright, everybody, we better get this show on the roll!" Buster yelled for the stage crew to work faster but not out of aggression but in more of a hurry and encouraging.
Buster's body tensed up. He would constantly looked over his shoulder and jumped at the smallest inconveniences that weren't seen as a huge deal. Buster would also shivered and tensed up for every time somebody talked to him from behind.
Mizuki noticed this and was becoming more fearful of what's happening with her boyfriend. He hadn't been calm or peaceful at all—not in this environment anyway. Mizuki had an idea of what to do to calm her boyfriend down for just a bit as she walked up to her koala lover.
"Babe—"
Buster jumped a bit. "Oh, sorry, Mizuki, didn't see you there."
"I-It's fine. Um...do you think we can take a walk around the area for a moment?"
"I-I can't go out. There's lots to do. Lots to—you know what, I need to get something from the mall—"
"Buster—"
"Ms. Crawly!" Buster called for the iguana with an eyepatch on her other eye as she entered the scene.
"Yes, Mr. Moon?" Ms. Crawly questioned attentively.
Buster cradled Ms. Crawly's hand gently. "Now listen to me, Ms. Crawly. You need to bring in your A-game. I'm serious. You gotta be tough!"
Ms. Crawly nodded her head. "Oh, yes, I can be tough!"
"You gotta be firm!"
"Yes, yes, I can be firm!" Ms. Crawly stated while straightening herself up.
"And you cannot, I repeat, you cannot let production fall behind, not one little bit. Is that clear?!"
"Yes, sir, Mr. Moon, sir!" Ms. Crawly stated with her back straightened.
"Good." Buster went off quickly with Mizuki giving him a withering glare.
"Buster," Mizuki called as she was catching up with him. "Don't you think you're being too hard on her?"
"Don't worry about it, Mizuki. She's got this," Buster replied faithfully while the couple exited out of the theater to get to the mall.
While Buster and Mizuki were gone, the walrus stage crew was spray painting of what was going to be a volcano that wasn't close to finishing.
Unbeknownst to him, Ms. Crawly was rising on the yellow platform machine with the megaphone in her grasp and narrowed brows. She turned the megaphone on.
"MASON!!! THAT VOLCANO SHOULD'VE BEEN DONE YESTERDAY!!!" Ms. Crawly shouted through the megaphone at the walrus, who just jumped at her random yelling.
"We're on it, Ms. Crawly!" the walrus informed loudly.
"YOU BETTER BE!!" Ms. Crawly shifted her gaze at Meena and Darius, who tried their best to dance well but there's no chemistry still. "MEENA, DARIUS!!! TAKE IT FROM THE TOP BUT THIS TIME PUT IN A LITTLE JUICE, WILL YA?!"
Meena pulled her trunk away from Darius's grasp. "I'm trying my best, Ms. Crawly."
"A little juice?" Darius questioned while searching through his pocket in his costume and pulled out a juice box that he'd kept in since yesterday. "Huh, I forgot I had this in here." He offered it to Meena. "Hey, want a juice box?"
"NO JUICE BOXES ALLOWED!!" Ms. Crawly yelled unexpectedly while coming towards the animals and smacked the juice box right out of Darius's hand, crushed on the floor.
Darius sniffled a little with a whimper. "My juice box."
"GET BACK TO YOUR ROUTINES!!!" Ms. Crawly shouted while skipping the subject.
Unexpectedly, Porscha entered the theater with heavy breaths as if she'd been running a mile through the city. Wiping the sweat off of her brow, she smiled and greeted everyone in a friendly manner. "Hey, everybody!"
Ms. Crawly slowly turned back and talked through the megaphone. "YOU'RE TWO HOURS LATE FOR REHEARSAL!"
"Wait...where's the koala? Who are you?"
"I'M IN CHARGE! THAT'S WHO!! NOW—WAIT A MINUTE, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!!" Ms. Crawly yelled through the megaphone.
"Oh, uh, Dad told me that I'm in the show," Porscha replied nervously.
"REALLY?!"
"Yeah."
Ms. Crawly put down her megaphone for a second and then lifted it back up to her mouth. "ALRIGHT, GET YOUR TAIL INTO WARDROBE, SWEETHEART!!!"
Porscha smiled a little and sighed in relief.
~.~
Now, Mizuki knew something was up with Buster. Buster wouldn't be so firm with anyone unless they're in the rush to get production done. But they were almost done with production and they were actually ahead of schedule. So, what's causing Buster's paranoia? Was it Jimmy? Was it the stress of doing a good show? Was it the constant nightmares? Somehow, those three questions linked to Jimmy Crystal himself. Buster blacked out after visiting his office, maybe that should've been obvious. But what did Jimmy do that caused Buster to black out? Did he hurt Buster? Mentally? Physically? Or both? All of those bothersome questions that Mizuki needed to know desperately from her lover so that she could protect him whenever that wolf comes or summons him into the office. She needed to know what's going on.
Mizuki followed Buster around the mall as he scanned through every store with quick breaths. Mizuki had been silent for too long and now they're away from the theater, she could talk to him.
"Buster...is everything okay?" Mizuki asked meekly.
Buster snapped out of his thoughts while looking up at his girlfriend. "Yep, everything's fine, darling—just a little stress is all."
"Little stress?" Mizuki questioned his wording. "It doesn't look little."
"Oh, you know how it is. The show needs to get done and everything just becomes intense."
Mizuki arched a brow. "Honey, we're ahead of schedule...like way ahead. I'm pretty sure a little five-minute break wouldn't hurt—"
"It would hurt a lot," Buster stated quickly, shivering. "But besides the stress, I'm fine."
Mizuki didn't believe him at all. She watched Buster explore further into the mall, tense in every step. The antelope frowned more while lowering her head.
"You've been having nightmares," Mizuki finally spoke.
Buster froze from where he stood but he didn't turn around and look at her, his ear twitched back to listen to her.
Mizuki took a moment to breathe. "I noticed. You don't get nightmares at all during the Alice in Wonderland production. There's something bigger than this show, isn't there?"
Buster turned to Mizuki, plastering a small reassuring smile. "Well, Mizuki, I also got nightmares during the talent show productions—"
"That's because there was something bigger than the talent show and that was Roy at the time."
Buster lost his plastered smile while lowering his gaze at the floor.
"I'm not sure what happened during the shows before the talent show but from what I saw during the talent show...it's starting to scare me, Buster. You blacked out after visiting Jimmy yesterday. Is Jimmy hurting you?"
Buster shook his head. "No, no, he didn't hurt me."
"Then why did you black out?"
"I was given more list of what to do for the show."
Mizuki still didn't believe him. "What did Jimmy say to you?"
"He didn't say anything," Buster growled, not a little frustrated that she wouldn't leave him alone. "There's nothing wrong."
Mizuki frowned. "But, Buster—"
"I said there's nothing wrong!" Buster snapped out loud, causing the animals to look at him briefly for a moment and then back to their business.
Mizuki winced at his shout as Buster gasped shakily. He noticed his paws trembling a little while sighing heavily.
"I-I'm going to get some more fabric," Buster uttered while running off through the mall and holding in the tears in his eyes.
Mizuki was left dumbfounded while she stood there, noticing her boyfriend getting more paranoid...much worse than before.
Meanwhile, Buster was a bit taken aback by his shout at Mizuki as he explored the mall.
Apologize to her, you idiot! She's only trying to help you!
Buster groaned while trying to explore through the mall to look for fabric to distract himself from the thought of anything at this point.

Gunter made up a role just for Porscha...it's an alien from an isolated planet Rosita would go visit on her journey during the show. However, since Rosita's been scared of heights and Gunter would see her cry in the bathroom with Norman comforting her in the past couple of days because of her fear, Gunter had an idea to switch roles for both Rosita and Porscha for the day—just to get an idea of how much Porscha was capable of and whether or not she will be suited in that role better than Rosita.
There's just a couple of problems. Porscha's a newbie and she came when everything else was at full speed and already done with work. Now, there's practicing acting and Porscha didn't even have a script nor learn the dance that Gunter would be practicing without Rosita. Ash didn't like the idea of just throwing Porscha into this show at the last minute but when Porscha mentioned that her father told her that she's in the show—they're afraid that Jimmy will threaten them to keep her in the show or else somebody gets hurt, despite Porscha never saying that threat in particular or even saying what her father's message to the theater gang was.
But, for today, Gunter had an idea to have Porscha act out for the main role while Rosita did a marvelous job with the alien part.
"And cue Porscha!" Gunter exclaimed happily while Ms. Crawly was overlooking the stage play.
Porscha swiped the stick, causing the platform underneath Rosita to bounce her off to the side and into the soft landing.
"Take that, you nasty alien monster," Porscha replied with her stance and her voice almost sounding robotic with no expression of anger and vengeance.
Porscha tried to pull an angry face, which didn't work so well in front of Gunter, Ash, and Ms. Crawly.
Porscha perked her ears up with an innocent smile at the trio. "Did I do good?"
"Hmm, that was very bad," Ms. Crawly stated bluntly.
"Y-Yeah," Gunter stuttered in agreement.
Ash tried to corner a sweet smile at Porscha. "You know, maybe furrowed your brows a bit more."
Porscha furrowed her brows.
"And say your line with a little of a growl," Ash suggested.
Ms. Crawly pulled out her megaphone. "Alright! Let's take it from the top!!"
Rosita was lifted back up onto the stage with a cable as she performed her part spectacularly again with amazing dance moves.
"Okay, cue Porscha!" Gunter shouted.
Porscha swiped her stick, accidentally hitting Rosita's side. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!"
"Cut!" Ms. Crawly shouted from the megaphone.
"It's fine, sweetie," Rosita stated sweetly while rubbing her side. She's not injured by the stick accidentally hitting her...just a tiny sore that eventually went away quickly.
Porscha had the guilty look on her face. "Are you sure?"
"Oh yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for asking," Rosita replied.
"Let's take it to the top again!" Ms. Crawly demanded.
Both Porscha and Rosita did the whole act again but this time, Porscha didn't hit Rosita as Rosita was thrown off to the side on the cushion underneath her.
"TAKE THAT, YOU NASTY ALIEN MONSTER!!!!!" Porscha's monstrous voice bellowed, which scared Gunter and Ash out of their seats.
"Whoa, whoa, we're not summoning a demon here," Ash said with a little tease. "I said little growl, not demonic voice."
Porscha dropped her ears down. "Sorry."
Ash leaned over to Gunter to whisper to him. "Okay, she can't act to save her life."
Gunter pondered. "Hmm, how about the dance routines in the air?"
Ash arched a brow. "Maybe we should give this role back to Rosita."
"Bah, let's try to see how good she is with dance routines," Gunter replied back in a hushed tone as he stood up in his seat and faced Porscha. "How would you like to practice the dance routines?"
"Yeah!" Porscha said while wagging her tail excitedly.
They set up the cables with Eddie making sure that there's no broken cable this time. When he hooked the cable up to Porscha's back, he started to blush at the fact that he's close to her. Porscha shifted her gaze up at him with a friendly innocent smile that made his heart skip a beat.
Eddie yanked on the cable to make sure that it's not broken while trying not to focus on her with a small blush. "You should be good during the dance routines."
"Thanks," Porscha said sweetly.
Eddie nodded his head. "No problem."
Porscha noticed him blushing and cornered a little flirty smirk to get him blushing more, which worked.
Porscha shifted her gaze up ahead as she ran off towards the edge and took a leap, unafraid of the heights despite almost falling the other day. Eddie leaned on the yellow railing of the scaffold while watching her in admiration.
Gunter and Porscha were flying through the air as Porscha knew that she had to grab both of Gunter's hands to make an effort spin in the dance routine. However, when the two were about to collide into one another, Porscha was off-center as she was only able to grab one of Gunter's hands. The spin wasn't effective as Porscha lost her grip on Gunter as Gunter just spun around and crashed right onto the space rock that was just a set.
Gunter groaned in pain.
Ms. Crawly pulled out her megaphone. "Porscha, you're off-center!"
"Sorry!" Porscha shouted while hanging from the cable.
They retook the run again but with Porscha making the same mistake and accidentally throwing Gunter towards another space rock with a grunt.
Ash glanced up at Ms. Crawly. "You know what, we should give that role back to Rosita. At least, Rosita can act and dance."
"We need to be patient with her, Ash—"
"Ms. Crawly, the show's going to start another week. We don't have time to be patient with anyone who just randomly walks in to do the show at the last minute," Ash stated with a groan.
"Maybe she's better off being an alien. The alien literally has no lines at all," Gunter stated while recovering from the hit. "But the alien can sing though as she can!"
Porscha frowned when she heard that while she was being lifted back up onto the platform. Porscha sat on the edge of the platform while Eddie was a bit hesitant to get the cable off.
"Are we running that again?!" Eddie called Ms. Crawly.
Ms. Crawly got out her megaphone. "No, I think we're good!"
Eddie unhooked the cable from the metal hook on the back warily. He noticed Porscha gazing down at the floor way below them with a frown on her face, sulking. Eddie didn't know whether he should comfort her or not since for one...his family was against hers but there's a part of him that it didn't matter if their families were opposing each other. She probably doesn't know what history went on in the past. Eddie shook off the blush on his cheeks and took a deep breath.
"Rough first day, huh?" Eddie asked, trying to comfort her in some way.
Porscha sighed and nodded her head. "I guess I don't have what it takes."
Eddie shook his head. "Don't say that."
"Didn't you hear them? I mean, I messed everything up."
"Hey, everybody messes everything up on the first day," Eddie said with a soft smile as he sat on the edge on the side while she sat at the edge she's supposed to jump off from. "Trust me, I mess everything up when I first started stagehand."
Porscha turned to look at him with soft yellow eyes and an attentive ear.
Eddie blushed a little while continuing to talk with a small smile to recall back to the old days. "First day of college, Buster lost his room key during the day and he had to wait till I get out of my night class so that I could unlock it. Turns out...the key was in his backpack the entire time—buried underneath all the notes."
Eddie chuckled slightly to himself as Porscha turned to pay attention to him more with an innocent smile. "When the Moon Theater was first opened, Mizuki mixed up all the folders that Ms. Crawly had to fix it. At the beginning of the talent show, Ash had the instructions mixed up about being in the auditions and brought her and her ex-boyfriend instead of herself, Meena almost stepped on the mice trying to be the stagehand, and Rosita didn't even know how to dance the first time she came to the theater. Heck, Ms. Crawly messed up plenty of times throughout her job—even on her first day. Everyone is bound to mess something up on the first day. That's what makes the first day rough. Nobody's going to be perfect at everything the first time around. It's going to take a lot of practice and patience to get good at something. Just like everything else, acting and doing those dance routines in the air is going to take a lot of practice."
Porscha gazed down sadly. "But, that porcupine girl said that they don't have time to be patient with me—"
"Well, they are in the rush to practice for the show because they got a week to perfect it," Eddie said softly. "It's kind of pressure when you're given a short amount of time to perfect it. Also, the porcupine's name is Ash. She means well but she is under the pressure just like everyone else here."
Porscha calmed down a bit while looking up at him. "You seem to know a lot about the theater."
"Well, how to jump the cues at the right time and mostly acting...but it's been a while since I've done it," Eddie replied with a small blush.
Porscha smiled brightly. "Maybe you can teach me of what you know of acting."
Eddie chuckled nervously with a blush. "I-I can try."
