Today's a special day for a special someone in Buster's life!
Buster couldn't contain his excitement as he made coffee with a mound of whip cream and rainbow sprinkles in their own house. Buster heard a yawn from Mizuki and hooves clattering into the kitchen right after.
Buster smiled brightly. "Good morning!"
"Good morning, handsome. You seem chipper," Mizuki said with a smile at her koala boyfriend.
Buster climbed up on the stool next to Mizuki while sliding a cup of coffee. "Here's your morning coffee, my love."
"Wow, thank you." Mizuki smiled at the gesture while noticing whip cream with rainbow sprinkles. "That's an interesting way to make coffee."
Buster smirked. "Well, today is an interesting day."
Mizuki frowned for a moment while trying to think of what today could be. She gasped in remembrance. "That's right! The screenplay for our Alice in Wonderland musical should be finished by today! Thank you so much for reminding me, Buster!"
Before Buster could protest or correct her, Mizuki kissed him on the cheek and sprinted off to get ready for the day, leaving the dapper koala speechless in the kitchen.
Wait, does she even know what today is?

Ms. Crawly was overlooking the bills while smiling at the fact that they weren't in debt anymore in the lobby of the theater. The old iguana looked over to notice Mizuki entering the lobby.
"Top of the morning, Ms. Crawly," Mizuki said happily.
"Oh hello, Mizuki! I baked you some cookies!" Ms. Crawly took out a plate full of cookies that were held by a ribbon with party hats imprinted on it.
"That's so sweet, Ms. Crawly. Thank you--wait. They don't have the sleeping powder in them, do they?" Mizuki teased while Buster followed behind his girlfriend, hoping that she'll get the hint from Ms. Crawly's cookies.
"Oh no, no. I just thought it'd be better than baking a cake. A cake can take a while to bake from scratch. However, those cookies are just fresh out of the oven," Ms. Crawly said excitedly.
Mizuki arched a brow at Ms. Crawly's statement. "That's a strange thing to say. Oh, well, thank you for the cookies. I'm going to get those manuscripts for the musical looked over by a publisher. I'll be right back!"
With that Mizuki took off and exit the lobby, leaving Buster alone with the confused Ms. Crawly.
"Did I get the wrong day?" Ms. Crawly asked Buster innocently.
"No, you definitely did not get the wrong day," Buster said with a sigh.
Johnny entered the lobby with a couple of boxes of presents. "Hey, Mizuki, I got--" He realized that Mizuki was not here. "Wait, where's Mizuki?"
"Where is she?!" Gunter slid into the lobby with his golden sparkling sweater and sweatpants with Rosita, Meena, Mike, Nancy, and Ash following behind the exuberant pig. "We're about to explode with major piggy power!"
"Yeah, I didn't get up early for nothing," Mike said while stretching his limbs with a yawn.
Buster sighed heavily. "Guys, I don't think she remembers."
The theater gang gasped in complete shock as Johnny let the presents fall out of his arms.
"What does she have? Alzheimer's?" Mike interrogated, earning a pinch from Nancy beside him. She gave him a withering glare, which got him to behave right off the bat.
Buster shook his head. "No. But she's been working a lot."
"Then, we have to find some way to show her what she's forgetting!" Gunter urged the group.
Everyone nodded their heads in unison in agreement and inspiration as they all exited the lobby in pure determination. They approached the stage while looking around to make sure Mizuki was not there.
"What's the plan, boss?" Mike questioned Buster, who had to think up of a plan.
Buster smiled brightly. "I have the perfect plan. But we're going to need a stagehand!"
On cue, the trapdoor on the stage a few feet away from them opened, causing the group to turn to see a familiar sheep poking his head up.
"Sup?" Eddie greeted the gang.
"How long were you in there?" Ash inquired with a brow raised.
"Ten minutes."
"Eddie, perfect timing! I'm going to need your help," Buster spoke excitedly.
"Anything," Eddie said with a smile.
Eddie joined in the gathering of the theater animals as Buster whispered the plan to them, getting the animals excited with smiles all around.
"Do you think you guys can handle that?" Buster questioned the group, to which they nodded.
"Of course we can. Johnny, Meena, Nancy, you're with me!" Rosita summoned the three animals called while the four animals left the group.
"Oh, oh! Come with me, Eddie, I have one stellar idea!" Gunter exclaimed excitedly while pulling the sheep's hoof and guided Eddie backstage.
Ash, Mike, Buster, and Ms. Crawly were the only ones left standing.
"Okay, Mike, Ms. Crawly--stall Mizuki," Buster replied as he turned to Ash. "Ash, I'm going to need your assistance."
"Got it," Ash said with a nod.
Buster and Ash headed off while Ms. Crawly and Mike exited the theater to find Mizuki in the huge city of Catalonia.
~.~
Ms. Crawly and Mike found a publishing company that Buster mentioned to them during their planning and saw Mizuki carrying the manuscripts, which appeared to be a bit heavy for the antelope.
"Oh, let me help with that, Mizuki," Ms. Crawly stated while helping Mizuki with the manuscripts until she 'accidentally' dropped the papers and have them on the concrete and scattered out of order. "Oopsie daisy!"
"Oh no, Ms. Crawly!" Mizuki gasped in shock.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Mizuki," Ms. Crawly uttered in pretense guilt that was so well-acted by an old lady that Mizuki didn't even notice that the old iguana was pretending.
Ms. Crawly 'helped' Mizuki by placing pages out of order discreetly just to throw Mizuki off track.
Mike smirked while hiding in one of those wooden pots that stood side by side with a bench near the ladies. He held up the walkie-talkie. "Hey guys, the eagle is in the nest."
"But Mizuki is an antelope," Johnny spoke from the walkie-talkie.
Meanwhile, Johnny was at Rosita's house with Meena, Nancy, and Rosita drawing out the designs to make for the cake.
"Have you ever heard of a figure of speech, Wonder Boy?" Mike's voice questioned from the walkie-talkie.
Johnny gave a deadpan stare at the walkie-talkie.
"Yeah, me neither."
Johnny rolled his eyes at Mike's sarcastic remark.
Rosita's kids ran around the living room while screaming like banshees just to play with the kitchen supplies.
"Whoa, whoa, hey! That's not a toy!" Johnny shouted while picking one of the piglets away from the kitchen. There were some who climbed on the teenage gorilla's legs. Johnny lifted one leg up to try to get half of the piglets climbing him off of him gently.
"Okay, okay, I-I need to walk, guys," Johnny stuttered, getting flustered over the kids climbing upon him like he's a moving statue.
The kids laughed when one of them was yanking his hair, causing him to screech in pain.
"Oh my gosh, you guys, get off of him!" Rosita shouted at her kids.
"It's fine, Rosita. I can take this. Just make it!" Johnny screeched more when the kid yanked his hair. He finally took the kid off of his hair with his other hand but his arms were being weighed down.
Johnny had an idea on his head on how to entertain the kids while the women bake. He began to walk dramatically and playfully, earning laughter from the kids clutching onto him.
All the while, Nancy came up with a design idea for what they were going to bake and the ladies went straight to work with Rosita and Meena rushing through the cake as Nancy helped sprinkle in some key ingredients that will make it taste delicious.

"You can't make lights dance." Eddie made a bold statement while giving a deadpan stare at the flamboyant pig.
Gunter crossed his arms and swayed his hips to the side to give an attitude. "Not with that talk, you're not."
"Dude, that's both physically and scientifically impossible," Eddie plainly stated. "The best I could do with the lights is--"
"Bah, bah," Gunter swiftly interrupted. "Don't tell me. Show me!"
With his eyes rolled upwards at the flamboyant pig, he headed towards light controls and played with a few lights to get them to 'dance'.
"See? You're making them dance!" Gunter pointed out excitedly.
Eddie smiled a bit in pride as he played with different colored lights to get them to sparkle on stage.
Meanwhile, Buster was with Ash as she was already writing a song and working on it.
"Okay, there's no way I'm going to work on a song in less than twenty-four hours again," Ash said with a groan.
"Sorry about all of this, Ash. But this is for Mizuki. Just for today," Buster apologized.
"It's fine. Hey, how well do you sing?"
"What?" Buster's face immediately turned bright red. "I mean, uh...I, uh, am not sure what you mean."
"Come on, haven't you sing before?" Ash said with a teasing smirk.
Buster chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I've sung before...while taking showers mostly. But that's because I would sing horribly enough to make everyone's ears bleed."
Ash smirked. "Okay, let me hear it."
Buster sealed his lips. "You know, it's better if you sing it. You sing better than me--"
"Come on, she's your girlfriend. Do this for her."
Buster blushed more madly at the thought of Mizuki hearing him singing. He covered his face with his ears while breathing heavily for a moment until a song came to his mind.
He mumbled the lyrics while singing softly to himself.
"Your stare was holding, ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where do you think you're going, baby?--"
"Are you seriously singing Call Me Maybe?" Ash asked with a chuckle.
"Yeah," Buster replied, flustered.
Ash smirked. "Continue."
Buster blushed even more madly as he continued to sing and now cringed at his singing.
"Hey, I just met you...and this is crazy.
But here's my number, so call me maybe
It's hard to look right at you, baby.
But here's my number, so call me maybe."
Ash began to nod her head along with Buster's singing. "Come on, add a little dance to it."
"You don't think it's horrible?"
"No. I think Mizuki would love to hear you sing for today."
Buster blushed more. "O-Okay."
"Come on, we got a song to work on," Ash said with a slight tease.
Buster nodded his head in agreement while working on the song with Ash.
The crackling sound came from the walkie-talkie. Buster picked it up swiftly.
"Talk to me, guys."
"Hey, Buster," Eddie's voice came in. "How good are you with putting out fires?"
"What?! Who's on fire?!" Buster panicked while about to head out of the room to leave Ash alone.
"Calm down. Calm down. No one's on fire," Eddie calmed Buster quickly. "I'm just asking for a reference."
Buster blinked his eyes in disbelief while standing idly. "Eddie...you don't even know how to do pyrotechnics."
"I literally just told Gunter that!"
Buster sighed heavily while leaning away from his walkie-talkie. "Sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with children. Oh well, I'm going to check it out." The koala made his way out of the room while Ash strummed the chords to get in sync with the song they'll sing later.
~.~
Mike watched the ladies trying to gather the papers outside of the building with a small smile while holding up the walkie-talkie.
"How are we doing guys?" Mike asked.
"Uh...we're almost done!" Meena answered the walkie-talkie.
"Someone's gotta help Johnny! The kids were on him and he couldn't even walk!" Nancy pointed out.
"Guys! Get off of Johnny!" Rosita strictly commanded her kids.
"I'll add ten more minutes for you," Mike replied with a small smirk and pocketed the small walkie-talkie. He bit his lips while noticing Ms. Crawly looking at him with a look that asked 'is it time yet?'
Mike shook his head while noticing a fan right aside from Mizuki as he climbed up to it and turned it on high to blow the papers and scattered them more to get her. He quickly turned it off and climbed down before Mizuki could look up and spot him. The white-furred mouse signaled Ms. Crawly to run back to the theater.
Ms. Crawly clenched her teeth while flexing her wrinkled hands. "Oh my, my hands are getting wrinkled and dried. I better go wash them."
Mizuki nodded her head, knowing that she'll get the rest of the paper as Ms. Crawly took off without another word. The antelope was growing a bit suspicious of Ms. Crawly and sighed deeply.
Mizuki managed to pick up the manuscripts in perfect order and walked through the city with a frown on her face. Today just felt like an off day. She wondered if her koala boyfriend was even concerned for her. At least, he sent Ms. Crawly to help...but Ms. Crawly barely did anything to help. What about the others at the theater? Well, they must've been busy for today. Mizuki shook off her insecurities and reached the theater that took a twenty-minute walk.
The antelope entered the theater that seemed eerily quiet. She walked through the entrance without much thought as she strolled into the auditorium, which was completely pitch black and quiet. Now, something's off. Mizuki searched the stage and backstage to notice no one there. She wandered up the stairs into the lobby to find it barren with no Ms. Crawly and no Buster.
"Ms. Crawly? Buster?" Mizuki uttered nervously while setting the manuscripts on Ms. Crawly's desk. She came back downstairs backstage to find no one there again.
"Guys?" Mizuki searched the stage to figure that the theater crew was hiding to play some sort of a prank on her. She smiled and rolled her eyes at the thought. "Okay, you guys, you got me. I'm scared. You guys can come out now."
The lights suddenly flashed on, nearly blinding the doe and scaring her a bit. In her first gaze, she saw the theater animals all dressed in their normal attire and surrounding the huge covered dish with Johnny's shirt almost torn to shreds by something that she'll ask later. Ash was in the glam rock outfit that she wore for the talent show in the past.
The lights moved up, moving her gaze along with it. Upon that signature crescent moon descending down towards the stage, there was Buster standing on with a nervous smile.
With a soft melody played by Ash on her guitar, Buster began to sing in the softest alluring voices that she'd ever heard while clutching a microphone.
"It's your wonderful day to celebrate life with a beautiful smile.
Another year has gone by.
The future looks bright. Keep all your worries aside."
The song grew louder with Buster growing a bit more confident in his singing voice when he noticed Mizuki staring at him in awe. He continued to sing.
"It's your day, I wanna sing a joyful song.
And I poured my heart into this little song.
It's your day, I wanna sing you a happy song.
And I just want to say to you."
With a pause, the moon reached the stage as he hopped off of it and sang from his heart to Mizuki.
"Happy birthday, darling.
You're my God's precious blessing.
I promise to be with you for the rest of my life.
I wish you love and happiness
With my heart filled with gladness
I wanna wish happy birthday, my love.
I wanna wish happy birthday to you, my love."
Ash ended the note with her guitar while Buster smiled up at her. Eddie emerged from backstage and gave a warm smile at the antelope.
"Happy Birthday!" Everyone exclaimed with warm smiles and cheers as Gunter ripped off his clothes to reveal a black unitard with sparkling words in different colors that read: 'Happy Birthday'.
However, Mizuki was frozen, like a deer in headlights. Her eyes were wide and her mouth was opened limply. It had been a few good moments before the theater crew, including Buster, began to grow concerned for her.
"Is she okay?" Meena asked with a brow raised.
"We should poke her," Mike whispered a suggestion.
Ash took out her quill and was about to launch it at Mizuki to snap her out of it. However, Ash stopped when she saw a tear falling from the antelope's eyes. That's when the theater crew knew that the damn had broke, leaving the antelope in tears that escaped from her eyes with tiny shudders that weren't meant to be heard by the others.
"It--It's my birthday," Mizuki stuttered. "How in the world did I forget that?"
"Well, you've been working a lot," Rosita said with a sympathetic tone. "You didn't notice the date?"
"I-I guess not," Mizuki uttered, now connecting the dots as to why Buster and Ms. Crawly acted weird this morning. She smiled while wiping the tears away. "You guys are so sweet."
"Well, it was your boyfriend's idea," Mike stated simply while pointing at Buster, who shrugged and smiled up at her.
"But we all wanted to celebrate it with him," Johnny remarked with a small smile.
"Of course, you mean so much to us," Rosita added with a sweet grin.
Mizuki exchanged a smile back at the theater group as she noticed the dish. "What's that?"
"That's a result in quick baking and Johnny having to fend off my children," Rosita stated with a laugh.
Johnny chuckled while pulling on his ripped shirt slightly. "I got a little more than what I expected."
Nancy beamed brightly. "Check it out!"
Meena used her trunk to uncover the dish to reveal it to be a three-tiered cake with red candies that looked like beads placed on the round edges of the cake on the bottom tier with red frosting. Then, in the middle tier, there was yellow mixed with white stripes frosting with yellow frosted flowers spread out evenly along the round edges. Then, on the top tier, it was nothing but white frosting with frosted pink and red flowers on the edges with the stage crew right on the top and a moon crescent candle stood up proudly.
Saying that Mizuki was shocked was an understatement. Mizuki was beyond speechless. "Oh my...this just looks too good to eat."
"Well, you better," Rosita said with a teasing smile. "Because Johnny didn't fend off twenty-five hungry piglets while Meena, Nancy, and I had to work our arms into a paste so that it wouldn't go uneaten."
Mizuki smiled tearfully. "I--I don't know what to say. I love you guys."
"Aww, we love you too," Ms. Crawly replied softly and sweetly.
There was a tender pause with heartfelt smiles from everybody in the theater. Mike seemed a bit taken aback by these statements but he didn't let it get to him. He had learned over the years to never let things get to him.
"Well, I'm starving. Birthday girl gets to cut the cake," Mike determined, ending the tender silence.
"Don't forget! We have presents!" Gunter stated happily.
Mizuki giggled at Gunter's child-like excitement as Rosita handed her the knife to cut the birthday cake. Buster watched her with a fond smile as the castmates gathered around the birthday girl, wishing her a happy birthday while she thanked them tearfully for participating and being there for her. She gazed at Buster after she cut the cake and was wished a happy birthday as she sat next to him and placed the plate beside her so that she could pick him up and kiss him on the lips.
She hugged him while Buster pressed his head against her chest just to hear her happy heartbeat.
"Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me," Mizuki whispered tearfully at Buster.
Buster smiled softly. "I hope you don't mind my cringe singing."
"Are you kidding? You have a wonderful voice. It's about time that I hear it in some other place other than in the shower."
Buster blushed madly. "Oh shoot...you hear it in the shower?"
"Every morning," Mizuki said while stroking his head. "It was always music to my ears to hear you sing."
Buster smiled, letting his embarrassment fade. "Then I won't stop."
"Who says you have to?"
They both smiled as they embraced each other and the party went on for a little more than two hours. She smiled in contentment at her boyfriend and her friends. She marked this day in her head as a day to remember forever.
