"Mom do you want to come see me fight?" (Y/n) asked as the two ate dinner," I can get you good seats and you can watch me fight!"

"Oh honey I don't think I'll ever be prepared to watch you fight so maybe not, but if you go into the trouble of getting me tickets I will go," Kitagawa smiled as she shoved more food into (Y/n)'s plate," Now eat up!"

"I will win the games," (Y/n) stated to her mom," I'll do it for you and dad!"

"You know your father would be proud of you no matter what, right?" Kitagawa picked up the empty plates," You can't keep the past in your present, it's not going to help you in the games and you're going to have to train hard. Don't let that happen again."

"I won't I promise," (Y/n) said to her mom," Besides the games are soon and I have to train, I love you!"

(Y/n) stood up and grabbed her backpack, she kissed her mother's cheek and bowed to the photo of her father.

"I will win this for you,"  (Y/n) stared at the man's photo," I wont ever let what happened happen again; I will protect the innocent now."

(Y/n) walked outside of her small apartment, smiling at the older woman who lived besides them before making her way to the woods.

(Y/n) let out a breath and snapped her finger, summoning Mamoru.

"Hey," (Y/n) pat his head gently," I'm going to try to summon something I never attempted to summon, you're gonna back me up if anything goes wrong, okay?"

The wolf nodded, as if agreeing to her statement.

She took a deep breath before imagining the flamed bird that only existed in fairy tales.

"Mamoru step back," She commanded before snapping, causing a burst of flames to burst out, pushing (Y/n) several feet away and pushed onto the ground.

She weakly lifted her head, wincing as she looked at the cuts and the bruises that were forming on her legs.

"Bitch," the Phoenix chirped out at her as he glared at her," What do you want?"

"YOU CAN SPEAK?!?" (Y/n) yelled out in surprise.

"OF COURSE I CAN YOU IGNORANT HUMAN," the Phoenix exclaimed," I am Ko, one of the many phoenixes of this realm."

"I'm (Y/n) (L/n), hero in training," (Y/n) said," This is Mamoru, the alpha of the wolf pack. My quirk is to summon animals."

"It's you?" Ko muttered, a flash of curiosity in his eyes," But anyway why do you want to have a bond with me?"

"I-I want to have a bond with you because you are one of the strongest animals I could imagine," (Y/n) said, a bit of a stutter in the beginning," But I don't only want strength, I just want to be able to protect my friends and you would be able to help me. When I was fighting against a villain I passed out; I don't want that to happen again."

"If I create a bond with you we have to lay down a few ground rules," Ko said to her," One, I stay outside of where I'm put when you're at school, home, or anywhere private. Two, I can eat whatever I want and you can't complain. Finally three, when you summon me I won't use my full powers until you can handle them. If I used them now, your powers would drain and fully kill you. You need to learn how to handle it, don't want you dying on me."

"Of course," (Y/n) smiled at Ko," I agree to those rules."

He nodded and flew close to the girl, giving her a small charm," You have my word."

"Ko, I have a question," (Y/n) asked later that day, as she began walking home with Ko and Mamoru.

"What is it human?" Ko asked from above her.

"I told you, my name is (Y/n)! But anyway, how come you can speak, but the other animals can't?" She asked.

"It's because when you summon mythical animals, like me, usually you can instantly talk to us because you have to use all your power to summon us, but with other animals like that dog-" Ko was cut off by Mamoru growling," I'M TALKING HERE! But yeah if you summon regular animals, as in animals naturally in your dimension, you'll summon them with the certain amount of power and you'll have to work on bonds to talk to them!"

"MAMORU WHY HAVEN'T YOU TALKED TO ME YET?" (Y/n) cried out as she hugged onto he wolf's neck," You're the first animal I've summoned and you've been there for me through everything!"

"You're a pretty Queen Mamoru!" (Y/n) exclaimed as she finished putting a tutu and a crown on the alpha wolf," I'm the good princess, you're the queen, and Shoji is the prince that saves me!"

"Is it because she's dumb?" The Phoenix asked Mamoru, who growled in disagreement.

"What a rude bird," (Y/n) frowned as she said that," Mamoru why haven't you talked to me?"

"Maybe he hates you?" Ko suggested.

"Bitch," (Y/n) glared at him," Want me to put you away?"

"No I'm good, thank you very much," Ko chirped.

(Y/n) rolled her eyes and opened the door to her apartment," Mom I'm home!"

"Welcome home," Kitagawa smiled but froze as she looked at Ko," (Y/n) why on Earth have you summoned something that doesn't exist?"

"Oh that's Ko," (Y/n) took off her shoes," He's a phoenix that's in our dimension and he's really rude but strong, but he can talk too."

(Y/n) plopped onto the couch as Ko flew to the older (L/n).

"What's up, my name is Ko. One of the last phoenixes(?) in this dimension," Ko spoke," I can speak because I'm just that awesome. Your daughter is my owner and I will protect her with as much power I can without killing her."

"What..." Kitagawa sat down, staring at Ko in wonder before shaking her head," WAIT YOU CAN KILL MY DAUGHTER?"

"Obviously I won't, but it is very possible," Ko said," If I use too much power I would drain her of power and she would die. Of course I'm not going to do that though."
