*** play song anytime you want ! it there to make you fell good and bring what CJ felt on the first day of the last year of school to you - :) ***

I could not shake the feeling of when his hands touched my arm. It was as though he had dunked my arm into a vat of ice water. I could see his finger prints on my arm. The sensation was enough that I had completely lost what Professor Twines is saying.
" It seems Stanley Dockard gotten himself in a bit of a pickle. And will not be returning for his final term at the school. As a result a closed sponsor and vote for a replacement had to be arranged. The remaining officers were asked to put up a nomination The faculty was asked to put up a nomination."
I look on in wonderment. This is just so formal and weird. Even for Professor Twines.
" It was agreed upon that both sides would vote from all names put forth. There was only one name nominated. It seems this person was nominated last fall. They however, were never put upon the ballot. "
I look at him, and he has this weird look on his face, like half frown and half smile.  I am wondering, only slightly, where this is going.
He shuffles around his desk and sits down on it in front of me, "You have been voted Class president over the summer term, by the faculty and the remaining class officers.'
I felt a bit overwhelmed. I am most definitely not a person who would be thought of as a class president. But why not go for it?
"But, sir, I was not even in the running for office. I never..."
" No, you were not. This is exactly why I advocated for you so strongly. The position has many responsibilities. Of which I am quite certain you will be most adept at performing. It also has a few perks, such as a double room with private on suite."
"I just don't know what to say sir", I stumble over my words. Emotions are not my thing. "This means so much to me."
"We all know you'll do well Angus". He reaches to a pile of paperwork and starts to riffle through it, "AH!, here we are." Pulling forth a large Blue binder he hands it to me. "Don't be too alarmed this is just the original help binder. Anything you may have a question about is most likely answered in here. Not that you'll need it after this week though". He has his smirk when he is excited. We all know it. We all love it. We love it because it usually means the school is changing for the better.
"Another item the school regents voted n this summer was the ban on internet access and electronics. I think you will be most pleased to find the proposed changes to the rules charter for  this coming year"
With that he handed me the binder and motioned for me to sit at the work table in his office. " I expect you will have many questions, but please hold off until the get through the basics?" And so, we sat and went through the entire binder in one sitting, pausing occasionally for my questions.
Somewhere around the second hour he left for a few minutes while I was reading a very dry section about the rules governing the swim team. This was of particular interest to me, as I was on the team, again this year.
It hasn't changed in my 3 years here at Henderson school. It hasn't changed in the 100 year history of the school, what did I think it would have over the summer?
Ad infinitum.

I walk into my new dorm room 4 hours later feeling very disturbed by what the old man had to discuss. I am not really sure I am ready for this responsibility.
Seniors get longer lights on time. It's  one of the only perks we get.
Looking around I see my suitcases and boxes have been delivered.
Wow. I have a lot of crap. I can't help smiling. Maybe I should loose some of it. Father would be happy.
The room was smaller than the rooms I've been inn before.  The main difference was this time I'm not crammed in with five or six other guys all in bunkbeds. It made for great memories and nights filled with laughter and hijinks. But there is barely the space stand to change clothes let alone have a proper area to hangout, or do homework.
This new  room is not huge but it will be perfect!
It has basics, two beds separated by 2 wardrobes, and 2 desks.
The wardrobes are lined up end to end between the beds, like a thick wall, with the doors facing opposite directions. It gives the illusion of 2 separate rooms. The two desks are on opposite sides of the room. One is sitting right in front of the window, and,  wait a window!  Oh!
I walked over and looked out the window at the quad. It was the end summer. Closer to fall this far north, actually. The leaves just starting their decent into the end of their life.
I could see all the kids playing, some  were playing soccer, or football.  Some were just fooling around causing a commotion.  No one was in their uniforms yet, school wasn't really started until the morning.
Right now it was a blowout. It  was the last for free day of our summer
For some like me this is it.  This was our senior year.  Others  were brand new students.
This place was amazing it change my life in so many ways.  I look back at  every single day and I thank  god for this place.
Turning back to the room I see a an envelope sitting on top of the bed by all my junk. It was addressed, "To My New Roommate...For I do not know if you really like to be called Augustus."
I snorted to myself at this. Everyone at the school know I hate my first name and prefer to be call CJ, after my other two names. Well, at least everyone that has been here for a while. So this must be one of the new Seniors! I quickly turn to the list of new students that the old man had included in my binder.
I scanned the names of new students and saw no seniors. Interesting. I pull the housing assignment sheet from my pocket and look for my new roommates name, Séarlas Whitfield Sebastian Grimes , wow almost as bad as mine. Next to the printed name I see handwritten, Prefers to be called Sebastian.  Again I cannot help but laugh. It is never been that easy to be called a name other than whats on your enrollment form.
Tossing the notice to the side, I look again at the new student listing, and I see Sebastian Grimes, Junior status Sophomore. Ok, this was getting even more interesting. This means he is in elevated classes. I still do not understand why a person not a senior was granted this room. But, who am I to complain? I jam ust barely old enough to be a junior myself!
Flopping down on the bed closest to my crap I look at his letter again. The writing is so  beautiful in its flowing and scrolling  manner. How many people today actually write in cursive?
I let the letter fall to my chest and just lay there and daydream about how this year will turn out. I have already been excepted into Yale. SO really all I have to do is maintain my average and work on the online courses for dual admittance.
First and foremost in my mind is that it seems the my new roomie, has chosen the bed closest to the window. And, while this is ok at first, I see the desk for my portion of the room is tucked beside my bed facing the back wall of the room!
Not only is my back to the door, but there isn't even a small window on this side. I jump up and walk over to the other side of the room again. Looking around I can see his tings are set neatly on the bed. But nothing has been put on the walls, or the desk. I can see only 1 small backpack and an even smaller box. Its small and made from wood. It looks like one of those Chinese puzzles boxes. On the pillow is a framed print of 2 people in Military Uniforms, Parents?
I do not intrude on his personal items, I just look at the space. It is then  that I notice the desk chairs have been stacked by the water closet door, and the desks have been moved both under another bigger window that I did not see at first. This window looks out over the sports fields, and beyond them the valley land the school owns.
I also notice that one of the wardrobes is not quite lined up with the other, like he had tried to move it aside.

Maybe I should read his letter?

I walk around and grab the letter off the bed and open it up.

Again it is almost absurdly formal to at the start.

"To My New Roommate...For I do not know if you really like to be called Angus. Gosh, not being a prat here mate, but I sure would not! Just look at my wak-a-doodle name lol Séarlas, is NOT normal. I mean who in this centuy names their kid fo r a relative in the 18th century? Crikey !
Wow , I am rambling! I am very excited to be here in US of A ! I mean even though technically I am a citizen, I have never actually been here. It depressing a bit at first to be away from my mom. But I know it will be better off here.
Anywho .."

I break out I laughing ! He actually wrote that in the letter! This kid seems a bundle of energy.  I haven't even met him yet, but I feel I like hime already.

" I want to express my apologies for not being here when you arrived. I had to leave campus to attend a function with my step father, and will not be returning until to morrow. As a result, I will not even get back to our flat until after 3 period break.
I wanted to talk to you about the setup of the room. Are we allowed to move the furniture? In my last home we were not. Anywhos-it, if we are I think it would be grand if we moved the cupboards to the far wall. Then we could
Have both desks under the main widow. I was able to move them there. ( I hope you do not get demeritted for that, just tell the boncer I did it I am used to detention! Lol )
I trued to move the cupboards, but they were a bit beyond my strength. Another item, if you are unopposed, if we ut the beds back to bunk style we could open up the entree area sand maybe bring in sofa to doss about on? Maybe have games rack or such? I have included a small diagram of my thoughts. And I do not mind at all being in upper loft!
Anyway I must off father gets very impatient if he has to wait.
Cheers
Sebastian "

I was smiling and laughing! He was so very much! It was great he was so excited. Some if his words, I must admit, confused me and I had to look them up. I very mush liked his idea of moving the room around and the idea of a common area to "doss" about in was perfect!

Sticking my head out the doorway I yelled, "HEY TOMMY! I need some help! Bring our room mates also!.

I was going to make this room perfect for my new friend that had never been to America before!
