Chapter 11

Here is the next chapter of this story... Sorry that it took long but enjoy reading it :)

The song's Wind by Jung Seung Hwan (Scarlet Heart: Ryeo OST) (The song is more dedictated to P'Net)

***********************************

While Arthit and Net were restling to take the weapon, Kongpob got closer to them. He ran deeper in the forest to arrive sooner but there was a sound echoing in the air. It souded like a gun firing. His eyes widened in shock when he remembered the police warning him that P'net stole an officer's gun and was armed. No, no, no... Arthit. He had a bad feeling about it, his heartbeat accelerating, his heart threatening to jump out of his chest or out of his mouth. He froze on the spot for a moment then ran as fast as he could, begging every mighty gods to protect his Arthit.

Kongpob finally arrived at the place of destination, the seaside where P'Net took Arthit after abducting him. There they were, both standing in front of each other, a few meters of distance between them, one aiming a gun at the other who was bleeding from a wound. The bullet that was just shot, grazed his shank. Arthit hold the firearm aimed at his Phee, shouting to kill him if he moved from his spot. His hands were trembling, the finger that was clenched around the trigger, was shaking due to his fear towards the older man.

„Don't do it, Arthit!", a deep voice screamed from behind.

Arthit recognized that familiar soothing voice. It was no one other than Kongpob but he couldn't turn back to face him because he feared to give P'Net an opportunity to flee if he lose his focus on him. However he was still glad that his man found him, his heart finally calming down, his worries fading away. But his fear towards P'Net was still there, it would stick in his body and gnaw on him till he would lose his mind and panick again just like 3 years ago. Kongpob approached him to calm him down.

„Don't come closer!", Arthit yelled as Kongpob was just a few steps away from him, his hands trembling the louder his voice and the more agitated he got. Today he wanted to bring an end to his misery by killing that man who put him through so much sufferings. Yes, he was angry. Mad at his Phee for having the nerve to appear before him and abducting him again. Mad at the whole world for turning its back on him and leaving him lonely and sad. P'Net was the man causing his nightmares, surely he would find peace and concentrate on living happily if he got rid of the nuisance, more like the monster in front of him. His whole body was shaking with his intention to shot a person. Tears filled his eyes but he hold them back, didn't want to look weak in front of his tormentor ever again.

However the taller man still approached him till he came behind him, touching him gently on the shoulder. He knew a false move could end Arthit's freedom forever. If he aggravated the situation, he could trigger a nerve in Arthit that would force him to shot P'Net. No, he didn't want his fan to end up in jail because of a filthy monster like P'Net. He didn't want Arthit to dirty his hands because of crazy man like him. Even if their Phee deserved a painful death for all the things he had done to Arthit, he would never allow Arthit to feel guilty by killing his own torturer. He wanted him to remain sweet like he met him for the first time. Arthit should remain the innocent senior he fell in love with many years ago.

„Put the gun down...", it wasn't just an order but a plead he hoped the shorter man would listen to. „I don't want you to end in jail for murdering him for revenge, Arthit. You shouldn't dirty your hands with filthy laughingstock like him. He's not worth it, P'Arthit..."

„He's worth it!", his voice raised. „He deserve to die, Kongpob... He kidnapped me, locked me up in a tiny basement and tortured me whenever I didn't behave well enough for him... He... He...", the last words refused to come out, they got stucked in his throat, making it hard for him to breath. But he wanted to let everything out, his emotions and his wishes. „He forced himself on me, Kongpob... I'll never forgive him for the tortures he put me through! He's my worst nightmare, Kongpob. Because of him, I can't sleep at night, can't eat properly and can't feel any happiness again. He has to die for me to live in peace again!", he sounded determined to get rid of P'Net, his voice so firm like never before, his expression cold as if he didn't feel any emotions right now. Even if he never hold a firearm before and didn't knew how to handle it, he would manage to shot him somehow since his anger was controlling him.

„I'll never ask for your forgiveness, Arthit... I did..."

„Shut up!", the shorter man interrupted, screaming at him, didn't want to hear his voice that sounded like a bug dancing near his ears and disturbing him. It was too painful. The more he listened to him, the angrier he got. His deep voice he had to hear every night in the basement, made him feel disgusted and lose his sanity. This time he just wished he would shut up and listen to him instead. There were many thought he would like to tell him before he killed him.

„I made a big mistake you can't forgive me for... I deserve to be killed by your hands so...", he took a deep breath, exhaling it to calm down his accelerating heart. „Please, kill me... If I have to die then I want to die by your hands", somehow he sounded provokating as if he was testing him to see whether he would really pull the trigger to end him or hold back with his murderous intention. But it looked like he was sincere too to be shot by him. Which one was the true P'Net? The one who wanted to die desperately or the one who was testing him?

„Shut it!", this time it was Kongpob who yelled at him, wishing the oldest man among them would act like a victim or a hostage and hold his lips tight. If he continue provokating Arthit, the shorter man would feel the need to end him right now. He intended to save P'Net's lowlife instead of letting his man getting dirty because of him.

Net made a sad expression, didn't want to take his gaze from Arthit but face him while talking about his emotions. „I shouldn't have taken you away from N'Kongpob... I shouldn't have locked you away nor hit you... I know I did something that can never be forgiven that's why I won't ask you for forgiveness either. No, I don't want you to forgive me, Arthit". A sad smile appeared, making him look more sad than he already was. His eyes were shining, filled with tears, they were rolling down his cheeks.

Kongpob and Arthit were surprised from his sudden tears. Were they crocodile tears or real tears that reflected his guilt and sadness? To see him crying, seemed to soften Arthit. The gun was still aimed at P'Net but he wasn't trembling anymore. Both young men were listening to their Phee's talk.

„I know it sounds like an excuse but I didn't mean to hurt you... I was just desperate because you never looked at me with the same lovely look that you always gave Kongpob. You knew I was in love with you but you never responded to my feelings so I was jealous at him. To be honest, I'm not over you yet and I'm still jealous at him that you're still looking at him with so much love like 3 years ago. Even though he hurted you in the past, it didn't stop you from loving him, Arthit...", it was the truth he hide deep in his heart for so many years. Today he got the chance to change into a better man by making it up for Arthit, the man he hurted for his own desire. He wanted to monopolize the man he loved but ended up hurting and frightening him.

As he mentioned about Arthit loving Kongpob, Arthit wavered, trying his best to keep the weapon directed at him. Kongpob took his attention from Net, looking at Arthit, adoring and loving him wholeheartedly. There he got the evidence that Arthit still loved him even though he hurted him much in the past. Maybe their love for each other would make them get close to each other again. Maybe they could manage to forget the pain of the past and look at the bright future. It was Kongpob's deepest dream. No it was his only wish.

„Because I can't live with my guilt and regret anymore, I want you to shot me... They are feeling I won't be able to get over while still living... I'm not saying those pitiful words to save myself and have your mercy... Arthit, I'm sorry for hurting you...", finally the words his Nong wanted to hear and waited for, left his mouth.

His words finally broke Arthit down, it felt like something he hide deep inside shattered into pieces with P'Net's words. The shorter man would never admit that he needed his apology but P'Net's 3 words I am sorry warmed him up. His heart finally calmed down as if he found the peace he was seeking for in those 3 years. His eyes widened in shock, tears keeping streaming down, raising his body temperature. His mind clear from any murderous intention. Kongpob used the opportunity to calm him down, going in front of him to block his view to P'Net. He hold onto Arthit's hand that was clenching onto the gun, pulling the latter's bended arm back to take the weapon. Arthit didn't even resist, somehow he let go of his plan to dirty his hands with the death of a man like his Phee. It was the best decision.

Kongpob laid his arm around him, pulling him gently to his body and hugging him with one arm, the other hand still holding onto his hand that didn't let go of the gun yet. Because Arthit gave up, his grip loosened. The taller man took the gun out of his grip, Arthit's head slumped down, falling gently on the younger man's broad shoulder. He felt safe in his strong arms and protected from the evilness of this whicked world. Nothing would happen to him as long as Kongpob was by his side. His tears hitting on Kongpob's coat, making him feel warm. Now Kongpob put his hand on Arthit's head, pulling him closer to his body, into his safe arms. Never would he let go of his beloved man again. Never would he neglect him nor hurt him again. He would make sure that he would be safe from now on. No one should dare putting his hand on him again as long as he was there for him.

Actually P'Net could use the chance to run away while they were in their own world but he waited for them to break their intimated hug. Apparantly he had something important to do before escaping from there.

„I'll take care of him, P'Arthit...", Kong pulled him back from his body to face him, making him look in his eyes while talking to him. „My car is on the sideroad... Wait there for me."

Arthit nodded his head as agreement without asking for a reason why he should leave them alone. Kongpob took his coat off, hanging it around the shorter man's shoulders to keep him warm before letting him go, promising him that he would join him soon. Arthit approached the forest but waited after taking a few steps.

„You can't live with your guilt and regret, you said... Why won't you do me a favour and end your own life for me...", were Arthit's last words to him, sounding like farewell words.

P'Net didn't and couldn't reply to his wish for him to die for him to live. Kongpob looked to him till he disappeared from the seaside, going deeper in the forest to search for the exit. His face got sadder the longer the distance between them was. As soon as his Phee was far away from them, Kongpob suddenly turned to Net, aiming the gun at him. The older man raised his arms, surrendering by holding his arms up.

„Do you want an apology from me too?", even though the question came out half serious, he was sincere about apologizing to him too. Not only did he hurt Arthit but he took Kong's man away and caused their break off too. He destroyed a happy family with his own desire and greed.

„I don't need your apology but your death! P'Arthit is suffering because of you. He would find peace if you die painfuly just like you tortured him", he was dead serious about killing him. Although he didn't want Arthit to kill him, he was ready to end his life here and now.

„You want to go to jail and leave him and your son behind? That would be cruel for even you, N'Kongpob..."

„Oh don't worry about me. What if I killed you out of defense? You came charging at me with the intention to kill me and I didn't have any choice as to shot you if I wanted to live?", a devilish smile darkened his face. He looked too scary with this kind of evil expression. If no one didn't knew him as the gentleman and the protagonist of this story, many would think of him as the antagonist. „Nobody would believe a crazy man who was convicted for kidnapping his crush years ago!", it was a fact nobody would deny.

P'Net nodded after thinking about the outcome of their story. Kongpob was a gentleman no one saw a bad side of him before. He was rich too and would find the best lawyer to defend him. The story would end like this: A convict escaped from prison to kidnap and kill the man he was in love with. The boyfriend of the abducted man found them and saved his man but had to kill the evil one to defend his life. It didn't look good for him but he didn't escape from the prison to write, tell and think of fairytale. The danger was real and not a well written book. He came here to save them.

„I have to admit that you have more advantages than me but the danger won't end with me gone, N'Kongpob", now he was dead serious too, letting his jokes aside.

Kongpob frowned but changed his face into a serious one again. He didn't want to waver at someone like that nor show himself weak in front of him. He needed to stay cold for Arthit's sake. P'Net mentioning about nothing ending soon with him being gone, let him in high alert.

„What do you mean?", the younger man asked, beginning to feel an overwhelmed curiosity.

„Sun's father is back", there was the message he wanted to convey them. Because of this important message, he fled from prison only to kidnap Arthit and get Kongpob's attention on him.

The younger man's eyes widened in shock. Chill running down his spine upon hearing Sun's biological father returning to Thailand. No, it can't be... He can't be back in Thailand. „I... I don't believe you! What are you intending to reach with your lie?"

„I'm not trying to reach anything but only to warn you two. Surely the police informed you that I didn't escape on my own but got help from an outsider", he looked around to make sure that they were alone. It was important that no one was eavesdropping their talk. He adverted his attention back to Kongpob, „Sun's father is back and he's after you!"

Kongpob's hands shook upon hearing the bad news he didn't expect to happen. Sun's father is back? He thought his son's real father was hiding somewhere in Malaysia with the intention of never coming back. Two years ago the police was after him for manipulating a company's work and instigating Arthit's kidnapping with Dalika but he could escape from them that time. But now he should be back in Thailand? Why after 2 years? Why after Dalika's death? The reason for his coming back dawned in his head. He began to believe his Phee for telling the truth. He came back after Arthit returned to Thailand. It wasn't a coincidence. Maybe he was seeking for revenge. If he was after them then it didn't mean nothing good for them. He was a dangerous man they should be aware of.

„How did you meet him?"

„He visited me a couple of weeks ago to ask for my support. According to his source, N'Arthit returned to Thailand so he came to make a deal with me... He'll help me break out of prison and escape this country with Arthit. But I have to do something in return for him..."

„And the condition?"

„I have to lure you out and make you give up on Sun while using the captived Arthit as levarage to threaten you."

Kongpob's anger raised upon hearing him mentioning his son's name. His expression turned dark all the sudden. There was one thing he hated the most. It was if someone threatened his precious family. Never would he allow them take to Arthit and Sun away from him. They were his family, his life. Even though he believed P'Net, he was still suspicious of him. Why telling him everything? Wouldn't he be at disavantage for telling him about their plan? What was P'Net scheming again?

His finger clenched around the trigger, ready to pull on it anytime if the latter made a wrong move. „And why are you informing me about your plan?"

This time P'Net didn't reply to him, he just stared at him, not moving neither blinking his eyes. The younger man remained serious too, not taking his eyes from him, intimidating him with his fierce expression. It looked like both were doing a staring contest to see who would give in first.

Arthit sat in Kongpob's car he came to search him with, his hands clenching onto his thigh, his eyes staring into spaces at his legs. His eyes were empty from any feelings. He was scared for his life a moment ago but now he seemed more like lost. A lost sheep in a deep, scary forest wihtout anyone searching for him. He was so deep in thought that he didn't notice a man approaching him. The person knocking on the cardoor, pulled him out of his daydream. Arthit jumped in shock, his heart almost sinking into ground from fear. But he didn't have to fear anything because the man standing in front of him turned out to be his man Kongpob. A cut scathed the latter's lips, blood dripping from his mouth, another bruise was on his cheek. But he was alone. There was no trace of their Phee.

What happened? Why was he hurt? Arthit was worried about his fan. He feared the worst out of this situation. Since Arthit locked up the door to not be open from outside, Kongpob waited till he unlocked the car. The taller man opened the door then crouched down before him. He hold gently onto the shorter man's delicate hand, caressing it with his thumb. Arthit touched the bruise on Kongpob's cheek, caressing over it carefully to not hurt him.

„Did... Did...", Arthit was scared to ask the question. He feared that Kongpob could have killed P'Net for him. Even if he wanted his death, he didn't want Kong to kill him and end up serving life sentence in jail. He needed Kongpob. Without him, he wouldn't be able to survive such misery. Kongpob was his remedy, his soothing warm wind that could keep him warm.

The taller man shook his head, „I'm sorry but I lost him... We had a fight but he was stronger than me so he could manage to knock me down and run away... I'm sorry, Arthit", his voice was so soft as if he was really regretting losing him this time.

Arthit gulped hard, his fear returning after hearing that his torturer was on the loose again. However he couldn't blame Kongpob for losing him. He did his best to protect him. It was enough for him that his boyfriend searched for him and found him to bring him home. Now it was the police's work to find him and bring him back in jail where he belonged to.

Before leaving, Kongpob promised him that he would do everything in his might to find him and prevent him from hurting Arthit again. As the younger man climbed in the car, they took their way to their home. Their second car remained there for the police to investigate it later. It was an evidence so the police needed to secure evidences before returning it to the owner.

Kongpob looked behind, stealing a glance from the forest they were about to leave behind. There was a silhouette of something hiding behind a tree. It was a form of a person. More like a tall man. The man came out behind the tree, revealing himself to the blazing sun. It was Net, staring at Kongpob's car that was distancing from him. A cut was on his lips too, his left eye blue from a heavy hit landing on his face. The gun was in his hand.

Flashback

After Net gave him the information about Sun's father being in Thailand for revenge, the younger man didn't have any choice as to ask him this question. It was about his plan. What did he intend to do? Would he really help Net and take Arthit away or help them just like he told him a moment ago. He would never admit it but he needed his Phee's support. Net was the only one having contact with Sun's father. Even if he conveyed the police about it, he couldn't trust them. No, it was more like he didn't want to depend on them. They were only bunch of idiots who couldn't do anything right. Beside they proved in Arthit's abducting case that they weren't realiable enough. Even if P'Net was the fiend, he would reather work with the enemy to protect his family instead of letting the police screw everything up just like in Sun father's case 2 years ago.

However Net didn't have the slightest idea of hurting his Nong again by abducting him from his home and his family, taking his happiness away again. He had enough time in jail to regret hurting him years ago and he learned his lesson. He promised himself to never hurt him again. Instead he took the dangerous road to save him from a mutual enemy. Although he would get more sentence for breaking out, he would gladly help them to protect Arthit Rojnapat. Beside he owned him big time. Second, he didn't trust Sun's father. He wouldn't let him take Arthit away like he promised him. The shorter man was the one causing Dalika's misery and death so he would set everything to kill him slowly and painfully.

P'Net agreed to help him, talking with Kongpob about how they could deceive and lure him out only to capture him in the end. They needed to work together on this case with Arthit's and Sun's help. Kongpob was thinkng for a long time. How should I convince Arthit to play along with the plan? He didn't want him to get involved but they needed his help too. Even though they agreed to work together, the younger man had to let him know that he didn't forgive him just because he was helping them. For him Net would always be the insane douchebag who caused Arthit's fear and nightmares.

After talking about their plan, Kongpob went to his Phee, asking him to hit him. According to him, he needed a good reason why he let him go. He could only justify it by lying that they were in a fight but his Phee managed to overwhelm him whereupon he escaped from his grip and snatched the gun away. It would look more realistic if the older man injured him. P'Net hesitated but he hit on his lips, a cut developed there. Kongpob wipping the blood off, turning away to leave only to come back to him, gazing at him.

Bam! Kong's fist hit Net's lips. „This is for hurting P'Arthit 3 years ago!". Wham! Another wham resounded in the air, his fist hitting Net's left eye. „And this is for today!". Kong just hit P'Net two time. He needed to injure him too. Not to make their fight look more realistic but because he didn't want to let him go without taking revenge on him. This two hit couldn't be compared to the tortures Arthit went through but he felt better after hitting him.

The older man couldn't do anything as wipping off the blood from his mouth and rubbing on his eye to lessen the pain. He grunted at him but took the weapon Kongpob offered him back. Before the Nong went away, he threatened him of killing him if he was trying to play them and deceive them at the end. He then took the way back to Arthit who was waiting in the car for him while Net was looking at him till he disappeared from his sight.

End of Flashback

****

Arthit and Kongpob were back at home, of course their families and friends happy to see both unscathed. They were proud of the hero Kongpob for bringing Arthit back. They were calming each other that the danger was half over but they had to be careful and not let Arthit alone anymore. Sun was in the kitchen with his grandmother, he wasn't allowed to listen to the adult's talk in the living room. He was missing his mommy but wasn't allowed to visit him since they wanted the shorter man to rest instead of letting him disturb him. While the adults were suggesting to be always there for Arthit and discussing about how they could help the couple, Kongpob was busy thinking about his plan with Net. Would they succeed or fail to deceive Sun's father?

The shorter man was in Kongpob's bedroom, laying on his side on the soft bed, trying to sleep a little bit. However he couldn't close his eyes and sleep peacefully even thought he tried hard to forget his endless worry. Whenever he shut his eyes, he would see P'Net pointing a gun at him, forcing him to enter the car. It was a nightmare he wouldn't forget so easily. It was better to keep his eyes open to make sure that he was safe and at home.

Kongpob decided to take care of Arthit instead of worrying endlessly. He apologized for his leaving, taking the way to the hall only to meet Sun standing in front of the stair, looking up to the edge of the stair, his sad expression making him look irresistible cute, his puppy eyes shining and craving for something. It seemed like he was waiting for someone. For someone to come down and take him in his arms. The father could guess the person he was waiting for. His mommy! He went to him then took him in his arms, surprising the little boy.

„Do you want to go to mommy?", Kongpob asked him, hoping he could make him happy by taking him to Arthit, the man he was seeking for.

Sun shook his head, surprising his father with his wish about him not wanting to see him. He struggled to be put down but the father didn't let him out of his safe arms. He asked him why he didn't want to visit his mother even though he looked like he was missing him.

„Granma say... Mommy tired... Sun let mommy sleep", his answer sounded like a complicated jigsaw he needed time to resolve it.

But a good father wouldn't have difficulty to understand his child, he didn't even need time to puzzle the jigsaw together. He finally came to one conclusion: Sun wanted to go to see Arthit but his grandmother told him that his mommy was exhausted and he should let him sleep for a while. A sweet smile appeared on Kong's face, making him look more handsome and gentle than he already was. He promised his son that his mother was missing him too, lying that he asked to see him. Actually it wasn't entirely a lie. Arthit would always miss Sun even if the child wasn't his son. Sun, innocent as he was, believed Kongpob, his eyes glowing happily.

„Raly?", he asked, wanted to confirm whether he was telling the truth or not. His heartbeat increasing while thinking that his mommy asked for him and was missing him just like he was doing right now.

Kongpob nodded, taking him in front of his bedroom, opening the door for him but didn't enter first. He let Sun approach Arthit who was laying on his side, facing them. His eyes were directed at them but he seemed not to be aware of them. Surely he was so deep in thought and staring into space that he didn't realize Sun coming closer to him and. Sun waited on the edge of the bed, waiting for his mommy to look at him, react and take him in his arms. But nothing happened. He was still staring into space, not giving him any attention. The little child sulked, revealing his cute pouty lips. He could go away but he gazed at his mommy, the latter was paler than usual, trembling in fear. Although he was too young to understand everything, Sun could see that his mother was in pain, feelings his suffering too. Sun was worried, he couldn't leave his mother in this condition so he braved himself, clenching on the bedsheet, trying to climb the bed up. It was too high for him, he fell down every time he tried to climb up. But he managed to climb on the bed after the sixth attempt, crawling to Arthit, sitting in front of him, his tiny warm hand touching the latter's face. Only now did Arthit react, reacting shocked at the surprising soothing touch, thinking it must be P'Net who was back to take him away. His first though was to run away in a safer place but he realized his son in front of him whereupon he was calmed down, sitting up to face the little child.

„Mommy okay?", the child asked him, revealing his worried expression. He caressed his small hand on his cheek, wipping off something from his face. There was nothing in Arthit's face but Sun misunderstood the situation, thinking his mommy was in pain and crying. He was wipping off the tears that wasn't there.

Honestly Sun didn't misunderstood anything. Arthit wasn't shedding any tears but was crying deep inside, trying to hide his pain and act tough in front of everyone but Sun saw through him, noticing his invisible tears he kept inside. Arthit was surprised to see such a young boy caring for him. He was moved, suddenly hugging him gently. Tears filling his eyes, this time he didn't need to hold it back but to vent his feelings. He hated himself for his weakness. He hated himself for fearing a weakling like P'Net. But he had many people there for him. His parents! His parents-in-law! His friends! Sun and Kongpob. There were there for him and he just needed to call them then they would appear for his rescue. Even the little Sun proved to be reliable and always there whenever he needed someone to calm him down.

„Mommy is happy to have Sun in his life", it was the truth he couldn't deny anymore. He loved that little boy as if he was his own flesh and blood. His own son. Sun wasn't Dalika's son but his child he would always love.

The tears kept rolling down, Sun wrapping his small arms around his mother. The deeply moved Kongpob observed the whole situation, feeling grateful towards his son. Sun would help his mommy to feel needed and safe again. With his innocent character he would help his mother to be his old self again. The taller man hide behind the door to not be seen and disturb their cute reunion. He leaned on the wall, his eyes shining since they were filled with tears. He hold them back to not break down, clenching his hands. Never would allow anyone to hurt his family. Arthit was his man, Sun his son. He would protect them with everything he got.

Sun's last action brought a smile on Kongpob's lips, he had to keep his laughter to not make any sound or else he would reveal himself eavedropping on them. Sun grabbed in his pocket, fishing out something none of his parents expected. It was a cookie, his most favourite cookie.

He hold it before Arthit, offering it to him, „Crying bcaus hungry?", he asked him if he was shedding because he was hungry. „Here...", his smile turned brighter.

Arthit was perplexed, flabbergasted, lost for words due to a little child's strange behaviour. Something else happened in his face now: His worries and fear completely disappeared, only happiness remaining. His lips curved up into a sweet, bright smile, he bursted out in laughter. His hand covered his mouth to hold back the laughter but he failed to do so, he was laughing happily. Kongpob immediately looked back in the bedroom. The sweet voice that sounded like music in his ears, was laughing again, lightening the room with his beautiful smile. His eyes were fixed on the smiling Arthit, he couldn't take them away from him. Finally Arthit was his old self again. Thanks to their son Sun. A big smile appeared on the taller man's face, revealing his white teeth. Sun was confused, asking himself why his mother was laughing instead of taking the cookie to fill his empty stomach.

I'm sure, you'll be fine, now P'Arthit... Kongpob took the steps down where he met P'Knott standing there, waiting for him. The older man let him know that the police was there to speak with him. Surely asking him about his meeting and fight with P'Net. Kongpob returned in the living room, meeting the two male and female detectives he didn't want to see but couldn't get rid of them since they were the detectives investigating P'Net's case.

When they asked him about the situation that took place on the beachside, Kong hesitated to give them an answer. He didn't want to reveal P'Net's plan. As he was about to lie then asking for them to leave, something prevented him from telling lies. His feeling warned him about dangers and traps he could lead himself to. Some thought dawned in his head. He was blindly trusting and following P'Net, even involving Arthit and Sun. That guy proved to be insane and not trustworthy. What if he betrayed him in the end, turning his back on him to save himself? He would lose both Arthit and Sun. He didn't want to take such high risk to play a hero alone. Sometime a hero needed assistent to win against a big villain. He had to assure his family's safety first. Never would he use them for such dangerous situation. They were important for him after all.

„We need to talk in my office", he took them there to speak in secret with them. He closed the door behind, making sure that nobody was there to listen to their discussion. Even though he didn't trust the police, they seemed more trustworthy than a convict who was after Arthit. So he revealed them the talk he had with P'Net about Sun's father. According to P'Net, he should let him take Arthit to lure Sun's father out. Kong would bring Sun to the destination where the exchange should take place but together they would outwit Sun's father then report him to the police. P'Net would surrender voluntary and return in the prison, the living hell where he belonged to. However Kongpob told them that he didn't want to put Arthit and Sun in danger by playing with their lives. He needed the detective's help to capture P'Net and the other man without using the two most important persons in his life.

After thinking a while about it, the door got opened all the sudden, two persons revealing themselves in front of them. Kongpob's eyes widened in shock when he recognized them. Arthit was standing before him, carrying Sun in his arms.

„I'll help you!", was his decision after listening to their conservation.

„No... No!", Kongpob rejected his offer to help. He went to him, touching him on the shoulders, „I don't want you to get involved in such dangerous plan, P'Arthit."

„And you want me to sit around and see you get yourself in danger to protect us?"

„Yes, that's what I want you to do. You'll stay here while I'll take both of them down with the police. Let me take care of it, P'Arthit..."

Arthit shook his head, refusing to listen to him again. „I don't want to be a victim everytime. It's time for me to step out and fight for myself... For you... And for Sun...", there was the reason why he wanted to fight alongside them. He hide for too long in the shadow behind Kongpob. It was time that he came forward to fight for his own and his family's sake.

There was a dead silence in the office. Arthit's reason sounded reasonable. He wasn't doing it because of revenge but to protect his family. Just like Kong was doing. Nobody could reject him. Even the detectives couldn't oppose to their intention even though they were breaking the law by allowing civilians to take on a dangerous mission that could end their lives.

The shorter man looked at Sun, determined as never before. It seemed that his little talk with Sun helped him to find his courage again. Finally he came out of his shell, showing himself to the dazzling sun to shine more brighter. From that moment on he decided to forget the past, looking for the bright future instead. It was the best decision. „Sun may not be my own flesh and blood but I love him as my son. Sun is my son and I won't let anyone take him away from me!", finally he admitted his true feelings, he acknowledged the little boy as his own son he would never let go again.

There was an abandoned building on the country side far away from Siam, it was a place nobody would dare to apporach neither step in due to the children's scary story about a ghost striking terror into people's heart. Even though the habitants avoided this building, there was a person hiding there, showing that he was an outside who didn't believe in ghost story since he stepped in without fearing for anything. It was a man, wearing all back sitting on the chair. He wore a black hat on his head, the hat hiding his face so no one would recognize him. A long scar covered over his left eyebrown. He had a gun in his hand, turning it around, playing with it. His eyes were fixed in the front, revealing his murderous aura. Today he would have his revenge and kill them for causing her suicide and for taking their son's away.
