Chapter 14
Next chapter is finally here... But it's going to be my last update for this month (I'm going to spent 3 weeks in a Africa*.*) Maybe I won't manage to update the other Story either...
The song is Golden Love by Midnight Youth (Uncontrollably Fond OST)
**********************************
Arthit was in the kitchen, packing the food, sweets, vegetables and fruits he prepared early in this morning in the bag while having a phone call with P'Seung Il. Sun sat on the high chair beside him, he was slurping his pudding. Today was saturday, Kongpob decided to spend more time with his family after the rough week that challenged their relationship once again. They needed to distract each other from the case concerning P'Net and P'Lek to forget about them as soon as possible. After asking Sun where he would like to visit with them, the child's choice fell on the park. He didn't pick the amusement park or his favourite children restaurant but a picnic in the park. According to the taller man, Sun always wanted to have a picnic with him but he couldn't fulfill his wishes since he always worked and didn't have much time for him. Now that the family was complete again, they could catch up to the many things they didn't had the chance to do.
Arthit sighed, waited on the spot and wipped the sweat from his forehead. „I'll go to hospital when I'm back from the picnic. Sun wants to go there with us and I don't want to disappoint him by being sick...", he had to explain since P'Seung Il didn't have any comprehension why he didn't seek for a doctor's help as he had those symtoms. The talk was about Arthit's health condition. Since yesterday, his body felt hot and he was sweating a lot. However, there was one thing he held a secret from his doctor from Korea. It was the dull pain in his left flank. He knew his Phee would make a big deal out of it if he learned about his pain since it was a bad sign that his condition was detoriating. Before he came back to Thailand, he made a promise with P'Seung Il that he would go immediately to the hospital to have a check up whenever he felt fevery symtoms also pain. But he didn't want to consult him about it since the pain wasn't that worse either. As long as he could still walk, he would resist it. He just needed to prevent lifting heavy stuffs for now. Everything will go well... A picnic won't kill me anyway.
„Fine... I'll have to send Knott there to check on...", the older man tried to bargain on the end of the other line.
„No!", he almost raised his voice but apologised quickly when he noticed that he was rude to the older man. Knott shouldn't come here... That sneeky bastard will notice that something is wrong with me if he sees me. This was the reason why he didn't want his best friend here. „I promise that I'll have the check up when I'm back at home."
There was a break between them, the older one sighing to end the awkward silence between them. Seung Il approved of his decision whereupon Arthit thanked him then excused himself that he had to hung up. After packing the food for the picnic in the bag, he smiled at Sun. The small child knew that his mommy would take him in his arms so he opened his arms, ready himself to be lifted by his strong mommy. Arthit lifted his son but felt dizzy suddenly. Sun wasn't heavy that Arthit would have difficulty to carry him in this arms but the pain was far great than he imagined earlier. It prevented him to move around like he wanted. He quickly but carefully deposed the little boy on the ground, rubbing at his head to ease the pain.
Sun tilted his head aside, confused about his mother's strange behaviour. He tugged at his pants, „Mommy alright?", he seemed worried about him, his soft voice quievering as Arthit didn't reply right away.
Arthit kneeled down in front of him then smiled at him. „Mommy is fine... Don't worry about me...", he had to lie to not worry the child. Sun was easily scared so he shouldn't let him know that something was wrong with him. „I'll go up to take something while you'll wait here for me... Okay?"
When Sun nodded that he would stay put like he asked of him, Arthit took the direction to the stair. However he didn't manage to take a step up as his view turned blurry, his head spinning, beads of sweat forming on his forehead and dripping down. He lost his balance but grabbed at the banister to support himself so he wouldn't fall down. But it didn't help either, his body felt heavy, he lost his balance, finally fainting and falling down on the ground. Sun heard the loud noise then ran there only to see his mommy laying on the ground. He kneeled down beside him, shaking him while calling his name.
„Mommy... Mommy, wake up... Wake up...", he called for him many times but Arthit laid there, unconscious. Sun took the stair up, trying to speed up but he was too small and could trip down by a misstep so he slowed down, holding onto the banister then taking the steps one by one till he arrived above. He ran to a room, Kongpob's office, hamming against the door while calling for Kongpob. „Dad... Dad...". He tried to reach for the doorknob when it took too long for his dad to open the door for him but he was too small, the doorknob was out of his reach.
Before he could knock again, the open went wide open. An agitated Kongpob revealing himself in front of him, he didn't take too long to ask the young boy about the reason why he was panting so much. He crouched down, touching Sun's shoulder, „Sun, what's wrong? Did something happen?". Kongpob mustered Sun from head to toes, the small child seemed scared and nervous for an unknown reason but he was not injured. However, it was the first time he saw him trembling all over his tiny body. His father was nervous too. Not knowing why his son was shaking so much, was a kind of torture for him.
„Mommy, down... Mommy pain...", Sun managed to say through his pantings. He just tugged at his father's jeans, pulling him along to follow him since he couldn't explan himself.
Kongpob, the child's whisperer, could decipher Sun's code of words. Something happened to Arthit! He took Sun in his arms, rushing with him the stair down. Arthit was still unconscious, laying at the ground. As soon as he laid his son down, he took care of Arthit instead, kneeling down before him, touching him on the forehead. Arthit was paler than usual, his skin burning hot that the latter almost scaled his hand from the hot body temperature.
„P'Arthit?", Kongpob's quivering voice mumbled the shorter man's name. He shook him at his shoulder but Arthit wouldn't wake up. Kongpob controlled himself so he wouldn't lose his composure and scare Sun than he already was. He just carried Sun in his arms, running out of the house, ringing the bell of the always curious and gossiping neighbor, Pete's mother.
She opened the door for him but jumped in shock when she saw Kongpob holding up Sun too close to her. He apologized for visiting without notice but he had an urgent matter to take care of first so he asked her if she could take care of Sun for him. She was perplexed, blinking many times due to his sudden visit she didn't plan but she nodded to him, asking him if everything was alright. Because of him not wanting to raise more gossip in the neighbourhood, he just nodded and promised her that he would take Sun back later. The little child didn't complaint that their picnic wouldn't take place anymore or that he was taken to his best friend's place. He was too young to understand the urgent matter of the emergency but he knew that his mommy needed his dad more than him. Before Kongpob took the way back to Arthit, he promised his son that he wouldn't take long to pick him up but he should be brave and wait there for them. Sun just mumbled a faint „Yes". Kongpob gave a kiss on his son's forehead before running back to his home to open the garage and the car.
Kong returned to Arthit, the older man still unconscious on the ground. He wrapped his arms around him then lifted him up in his arms to carry him on the passenger's seat in the car. He handled his boyfriend in a gentle manner, buckling him the safety belt around. Of course the whole thing didn't slip through Pete's mother's eagle eye, she didn't fail to see her handsome Suthiluck putting the unconscious Arthit in the car. She already prepared her loose mouth to call the other neighbours and report them about the interesting event. Kongpob drove the car, ignoring a red light of the traffic signals, crossing the street and driving in the direction of the hospital.
After leaving a few kilometers of distance behind, Kongpob arrived in the hospital. He carried Arthit in his arms then rushed inside of the emergency room, asking the first nurse his eyes set upon for help. His cry for help caught everyone's attention, it sounded like he was in a despair and in fear. The nurse grabbed 2 of her colleagues for support, helping him to carry the patient on the stretcher. The 2 nurses rolled the stretcher to an empty place on the corner where they could treat Arthit without being disturbed by concerned relatives. The nurse Kong called for help, hold him back as the latter wanted to follow them.
„Sir, please, you can't be there for now... You have to let us treat him...", she explained to him, assuring him that they would do everything in their power to help the patient regain his consciousness.
Kongpob was laft there alone, desperate, scared, restless and helpless. He didn't knew why Arthit fainted, couldn't even explan how it happened. He just remembered that his fan was having a fevery symptom but the latter assured him that it wasn't something to worry about... Nothing to worry about... Arthit's words sounded like a bell ringing in his mind, repeating like a broken cassette, torturing him by playing it again and again. The more he remembered P'Arthit telling him that he was fine, the more he blamed himself for not realizing sooner that he shouldn't had believe him. Now that he realized that his Phee lied to him, his guilty feeling was raising.
He racked his fingers through his hair, staring at the spot where Arthit was being treated by two nurses and a doctor. The place was seperated with a curtain, preventing him and the other patients to see the treatment. Something vibrated but he didn't notice it, he was busy worrying about Arthit that he didn't realize his cellphone ringing in his pocket. When the phone rang for the second time, he finally felt the vibration, picking up the call.
„Y...Yeah...", his voice was low and raspy, it didn't matter that he sounded rude to the caller by not greeting the person first. His attention never let Arthit.
„Kongpob? I'm calling Ai'Arthit for some minutes now but he didn't take it... Can you tell him go pick up my call or I'll come there and drag him to where he didn't want to go!", it was Knott. The taller man was irritated for an unknown reason. Maybe because he was ringing his best friend for some minutes now but the latter choose to ignore him? The place he meant he would drag Arthit to if he continued ignoring him, was the hospital. The place filled with staff wearing only white also smelling of desinfectants and illness was his nemesis. Wherever his best friend heard the word beginning with „H", he would flinch immediately.
„Uhm...", the younger man was too confused to make a reasonable sentence. He caressed his face, trying to contain his calmness. His heart beating faster the longer he had to wait for his Phee's diagnosis. „He can't...", he gulped hard to get rid of the hard lump stucking in his throat. „P'Arthit is in the emergency room...", finally the words softly escaped his mouth. It hurted his soul to listen to himself. Taking his Phee to the hospital, was something he never wanted to see neither hear in his life.
Knott fell silent, his heartbeat accelerating. Kongpob could sense how tense the older one turned all the sudden. Knott sighed, he was scared to know the painful truth about his friend being hospitalised. He almost sweared but managed to contain himself for the time being.
„What happened?", his soft voice asked the latter.
„He fainted... P'Knott, I don't know why he's in pain... I feel helpless for not knowing why he fainted", his fear could be detected in his quavering voice. He didn't even try to hide how scared he was of losing his fan.
The taller one closed his eyes to assimilate the information, letting out a loud, frustrated sigh. It was the nightmare he feared ever since he found out about him being abducted by Net and his accomplice. Just a moment ago, P'Seung Il called him to inform him that Ai'Arthit was having fevery symptoms but refused to go to the hospital. He wanted him to convince his stubborn friend to have a check up but it was too late. He was too late. Again!
„Tell me which hospital he is... I'll rejoin you soon."
As soon as Kongpob told him the address, Knott left everything aside, jumping in the car then driving to the destination. Kongpob crouched down on the ground, holding his heavy head in his palms. Everything will be fine... I'm sure, he will be fine. Now he was laying to himself, trying to circumvent the reality.
****
The doctor left in the middle of the treatment of his newly brought patient Arthit Rojnapat. He had to gather some important information about the unconscious patient so he went to the two men waiting some meters away from the place where they brought Arthit. Kongpob and Knott stood up immediately when they saw the doctor coming towards them, both agitated to know more about his diagnosis.
The older doctor looked at the shorter one then at the taller one. He didn't knew who they were since the patient didn't have an ID card to identify him. The only information they had about him was his name and how he lost his consciousness in the kitchen „Uhm, may I ask the relation between the patient and you?". He added an explaining since most relatives reacted irritated whenever he asked this question about their relation. „It's for data protection."
Knott answered that he was his best friend, now it was Kongpob's turn to explan the kind of relationship he was leading with P'Arthit. But he hesitated. What was this kind of difficult relation called? He was Sun's father, Arthit his ex-fiance who ran off after breaking up with him years ago. They were having a romantic relation with a kid between them but it didn't mean that they were officially together. P'Arthit suggested that he would give him another chance and try it with him but they never grabbed the chance to clarify the misunderstanding between them. Now he was regretting neglecting his responsibility by not taking Arthit aside to explan everything about Dalika to him. He wanted to apologise to him for hurting him many times in the past. Kongpob was busy indulging in his guilt that he forget one important decision: Sometime it wasn't necessary to clarify the kind of relationship they were having. Sometime it was more than enough as long as they knew their feelings. It was fine to show their feelings through actions. After observing Arthit's behaviour in Sun's and his side, he should call himself his partner. His love! His other half! His long-time fiance!
„His fan... I'm his partner!", he said proudly and with a firm voice. Apparantly, he was certain for his role in this drama. He was the male lead, the other male lead's man.
The doctor nodded, „I see. He's in a critical condition but he'll get through it. First of all, I need to have his doctor's letter about his treatment. When and why did he get a surgery to remove one kidney?", the first came came like a stroke hitting Kongpob.
Kongpob's world came to a halt, his surrounding stopped moving the moment he heard the doctor question. He asked him to repeat the question, „W... What do you mean with kidney and surgery?"
The physician was speechless, he was doubting his assumption to be Arthit's fan. „He got one kidney removed. It didn't happen recently either."
Knott gulped hard, sensing a storm coming after Arthit and him, the storm causing by their Nong called Kongpob Suthiluck. He touched his Nong's shoulder to calm him down, telling the doctor the information he needed for the treatment. „He got it removed 3 years ago due to an accident. His doctor who treated him is still in Thailand. I'll call him to come here and give you more details about the surgery...", out of the people, only the patient's called best friend could give him the details he asked for.
What the hell is going on? P'Arthit lost one kidney? And 3 years ago? Isn't it after he left me? His head was aching for thinking too much, he felt dizzy all the sudden. The physcian could sense the odd storm forming already, he was a veteran in his field and could read his patient's mind easily. Apparantly the man called Kongpob who claimed to be Arthit's partner, didn't have a clue about his fan having his kidney removed. The worst feeling to have as a patient's relative was to be kept in the dark about the illness the patient was suffering from. One would feel helpless and not taken serious enough. Neither trustworthy enough. It always hurted to find out that someone important to you, hide a secret from you because he didn't trust you. Oh boy! I sense a lover's quarrel soon. He thanked Knott for the help before returning to the nurse to take care of Arthit, running away from the problem that would raise between the patient's relatives soon.
Kongpob diverted his attraction to P'Knott, he was flabbergasted and shocked after knowing the secret P'Arthit was hiding from him for over 3 years. He didn't find the right word how to start the conversation.
„I'll tell you everything but let me call P'Seung Il first", Knott managed to hold him back before Kongpob could mutter a word. He went aside to call the doctor who was cooking with Mrs. Rojnapat at home. He informed him about Arthit being hospitalised, maybe because of his kidney again. Just like 3 years ago.
P'Seung Il assured him that he would be there as soon as possible. Both of them agreed to keep his treatment from Mrs. and Mr. Rojnapat for now since they didn't know the condition Arthit was in right now. Knott wandered back to Kongpob, the younger man confronting him now after he gathered himself.
„What do you mean with P'Arthit lost his kidney?"
„I think you need to seat down first", Knott offered him the seat beside them.
Kongpob declined his offer by clearly stating a „No". He wanted him to tell everything right now without taking a seat. Knott promised that he would tell him everything but it was a long story so he should take a seat first. He didn't have any choice as to sit down and calm down.
„I think Arthit should tell you everything but I can tell you a fragment of the story. Before I beginn, you should know that he didn't want to leave you but was forced to do it. He had to choose between you or his treatment... After the matter with Dalika, he got diagnosed with kidney trauma, specifically a rupture in his kidney. Because he didn't get a treatment earlier, it was so damaged that it had to be removed urgently for him to survive. He didn't want you to find out about it so he had to leave for Korea to receive the treatment. I mean everything went too fast and he didn't have enough time to consult you". Knott knew that he was just searching for excuses. Arthit had plenty of time to inform him about his illness but the sad circumstances between them didn't permit him to consult anyone about it.
The younger man was quiet but something else whappened inside of him. It seemed like his safe world was crumbling under him, he was falling deeper in the dark abyss where he would suffer for eternity. It was a shocking information he never thought would ever happen to him. To arthit. To them! „How... How did it happen?"
„It happened on the first encounter with Dalika... He told me that he got a heavy hit on his flank and since then, he was having dull pain in his flank from time to time. He was an idiot for thinking that it wasn't something serious. Because he neglected his health for too long, it got so worse that he almost died."
The memory of the heavy blow Arthit's received in his flank 3 years ago, replayed in Kong's mind. His eyes widened in shock. It didn't take him too long to remember the accident. It was their first encounter with Dalika and P'Lek. He tried to save the damsel in distress Dalika but P'Arthit got hit by Lek, his stomach was swollen and dark coloured with bruises but the older man refused to go to hospital. P'Arthit almost died? Now those words replayed over and over in his head, playing like a torture methode to make him unable to calm down. His eyes were wandering on the ground but he didn't concentrate to see anything on the ground, not even his reflection in the clean ground. His heart hurted, the tuth was too painfull to accept.
„He left me because of me?", his eyes were blinking many time due to the shock. He already assumed that his Phee left him because of his struggle with Dalika but there was more behind the sudden breakup. „I made him like this...", Kongpob stood up, shrugging off the older man away as he tried to hold him back. He walked there from to and fro, scratching his forehead, ruffling his hair messy then pulling it hard that he almost ripped his dark hair form his head. „It's my fault... I... I brought the devil in our lives", the devil signified Lek and Dalika. He blamed himself for everything bad that happened to them. If he didn't meddle in Dalika's and Lek's lives then none of those bad luck would had strike them. Because he had to act as the hero, he caused his Phee to be in great danger. Almsot killing him. „Everything is my fault", he mumbled over and over.
„Kongpob...", Knott called for him but his voice didn't reach him, the latter was too deep in his guilt, drowning in there with no chance of being saved.
He staggered forward, it was hard to move his feet to walk but he forced himself to move further, without having a destination in mind. Without knowing where his feet were bringing im. He just got the overwhelming urge to leave. Leave for somewhere he could be alone and scream lis lungs out. On his way out, he walked forward without looking properly traffic at the street. Many pedestrians stared at him, mustering him from head and toes since he looked like a broken hearted man, an empty shell without a soul. Some even asked if he was alright, thinking he lost an important family member since he came out of the hopistal but he ignored them, continuing walking his dark path.
Arthit is sick... Just because of my stupidity... Surely, he would never recover from his shock. It was the condition Arthit wanted to save him from so he ran away to receive his treatment in South korea. Arthit had to go through so much pain without Kong being there for him. And here he was blaming his Phee for leaving him without giving him a second chance. His lover suffering alone in a foreign country, was the sad part that made it unbearable for Kongpob. He felt like it was his punishment for hurting P'Arthit in the past. But why didn't the bad luck fell upon him but on the victim of his infidelity? Why had it to be his already broken and pitiful Phee?
Honk! The sound echoed in the air, followed with a screech sound. A car just braked a few inches away from Kongpob, it nealy hit him. Someone screamed at him, calling him an idiot and suicidal. Kongpob didn't even knew why the man was yelling and cursing at him neither why some cars were braking around him. Some drivers were pointing at him, looking at him as if he was a lunatic who ran away from a psychiatry. He looked aside only to realize that he crossed the street in the middle of the traffic, disturbing the traffic flow. The situation was familiar to Arthit's break down when he caugth Kongpob and Dalika red-handed. It gave him the same pain Kongpob was feeling right now. Lost, sad, anxious, in pain, desperate, helpless and angry toward himself.
Kong stepped back but continued the way in the pedestrian zone without apologising. The driver who almost hit him, cursed at him before driving away. Kongpob seemed to lost his way, his will and his confidence. And that because of a mistake he did 3 years ago. Would he ever recover from the sad reality?
****
Arthit moved his eyes and tried to wake up forcefully. He opened his eyes, the first thing his eyes let him see was the white, empty ceiling. It was a familiar ceiling, something he saw for 3 years in Korea. It wasn't necessary to look around to recognize that he was in a hospital that was already smelling of desinfectants. Because he spent over 1 year in a hospital and 2 years in a rehab center, he was familiar with the strong smell and the noises in this big building. I fainted, huh?
His eyes were staring at the ceiling, he fell deep in thought. After ponding for a moment, he realized that he must had fainted in Sun's presence. How was his son Sun feeling? Did he cry when he saw him laying there motionless? Where was his Kongpob? Did he lose his calmness when seeing him unconscious on the ground? Those were the questions he asked himself after waking up. Finally, he dared to divert his attention somewhere to know the situation he was in. As soon as he looked around, his eyes fell on a person. A young man sat next to him on the chair beside the bed, a worried expression on his face but an empty look in his eyes. Maybe his eyes weren't empty but they were filled with guilt. Arthit wasn't sure of the emotion the eyes of the younger man was reflecting but he guessed that he must be on the verge of losing his composure. Arthit knew that Kong must had known about his struggle in the last 3 years by now.
The shorter man gulped hard, he didn't like the helpess feeling Kongpob was shoting toward him, it broke his heart. It was painful to see his strong Kongpob Suthiluck on the verge of a break down. No, he didn't want that to happen to the love of his life. He felt the urge to give him a proper explanation whereupon he tried to sit up but gravity nailed him down on the bed. His body felt heavy and it ached, it refused to be moved around. Kongpob rushed to his side, supporting him to sit up by laying an arm around his back to push him forward.
„Don't strain yourself... You need to rest, P'Arthit...", the taller man told him, he didn't like the older man's idee to move so suddenly. He sat beside him on the edge of the bed.
Arthit rubbed against his forehead, he felt a little bit warm. It must be the fever. He wanted to sit up to explain everything to Kongpob but was lost for words when his face was so close to Kongpob as the latter tried to help him. He mustered the younger man's face clearlier, reading his expression to see if he should tell him everything now or not. Somehow he couldn't move his left arm, there was an uncomfortable feeling in his ellbow as if something was attached there. His attention finally caught the big machine to his right. It was a big dialysis machine which 2 big tubes were inserted in his ellbow, one in his vene and the other in his artery. His blood vessels were revealing since they had to be dilateted for the blood purification.
„Dialysis?", Arthit was in panic. Why dialysis? His left kidney was working fine so P'Seung Il assured him that he didn't need dialysis every 2 days. He was scared that his kidnes wasn't working and he would be bound to this machine forever.
„Yeah... You had an acute kidney failure. Your only one kidney didn't work. The doctor didn't have any other option as to put you on this machine to pump out the urinary excreted substances. According to him, you was put under too much stress and wasn't careful enough so you caught some bacteria that infected your kidney", the taller one explaned. „The dialysis is only for a brief therapy to clean your blood but they couldn't tell me how many days you'll spent here..."
Kongpob and Arthit didn't have to ponder for long to know how the stress was caused and where he caught the bacteria. Thanks to Lek and P'Net, he had enough stress to fight against. The place where P'Net kinapped him to, must be the place where he caught the bacteria Those assumptions could be wrong but both of them knew that Arthit'c condition detoriated ever since he came back to Thailand. Ever since he met his Kongpob again. Ever since he decided to give their relation a second chance. Kongpob was right to blame himself for the bad luck his Phee had to go through but Arthit would never think of him as a burden. He would never blame him for exposing to danger again ever since he returned to his country. It was destiny none of them could had prevent. Arthit accepted the reality but Kongpob couldn't, he had difficulty to accept the fact that he almost lost P'Arthit due to his heroical action and his own negligence.
„Then... Did... Did the doctor tell you something else beside about my current ondition?"
„Yeah", Kongpob tried to force a fake smile on his face but it failed miserably. His lips were twitching, he tried to contain himself for the time being but his body didn't act like he wanted it. „You had a nephrectomy, he said... P'Seung Il and P'Knott explained most of the things to me..."
Arthit felt miserably sad to see Kongpob trying so hard to stay calm. He could see that he was mad at him for hiding the truth from him. „I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you everything but the circumstance didn't allow me to share the truth with you."
„Don't tell me excuses, P'Arthit. We had plenty of chances to speak about our past but you choose to remain silent about that matter. We had sex and I asked you how you got the scar but you brushed me off, saying that you would explain everything later. You lied to me that it was just an accident you had in Korea!", his voice raised. He was fuming in rage, now he was angry at Arthit for laying to him. „Did you even consider my feeling when running away?"
„Of course I did... That... That's why I had to leave. I didn't want you to feel guilty about something that happened already that's why I had to get the surgery in a foreign country. I always think about you so don't belittle me that I never took you serious."
„If you did think about me then you wouldn't had run away. You would had stay here and get the treatment with me next to you. I could had been a big support to you but you took my chance to be there for you and make everything up to you...", he felt a huge lump stucking in his throat, it was hard to breath under the heavy tension in the air.
„Then what about you!", Arthit raised his voice too, had enough of him not understanding him. He hide his condition from him to protect him from guilt but here he was, screaming at him. „How many times did you leave me behind to spent more time with Dalika? You had eyes only for Dalika and I felt stupid, like the third wheel in a triange relation, Kongpob."
Arthit shouting at him, calmed him down. „I know that I was unfair to you but you could had tell me about your situation. I'll never forgive myself for hurting you and the guilt will always follow me till the day I take my last breath. I'm not blaming you either but I'm just letting out my frustration that you didn't take me important enough to share your pain with me. It's not fair that you left me out of your life and it hurts to know that I couldn't be there for my fiance when he needed me the most..."
Arthit looked down, staring at the blanket he covered till his stomach. He looked up, revealing the pain filling his eyes. „Kongpob, like I said before, everything went too fast. I didn't even get the chance to bid a proper farewell with my family. It was an unexpected decision I had to take for both of us". He gazed aside to the ceiling, the warm sunlight falling on his pale face and raising his body temperature. Arthit felt a sharp pain in his chest, his heart beating faster when reminiscing the day he caught Kong naked and sleeping next to Dalika, both of them sharing a bed. „It was too much for me. Dalika, you cheating on me with her...", he didn't even finish his sentence since Kongpob interrupted him.
Kongpob raised his voice, screaming at him out of anger. „I never did that!", the words he swallowed for so many years finally escaped his mouth. He tried to calm down but failed to do so. He was panting after using so much energie in his scream, „I never slept with Dalika!"
Arthit seemed confused at first, it seemed that he didn't understand the words Kongpob said. He tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out, he ended up stuttering. He waited for a moment to collect himself before asking him to repeat it. „What?"
„I never touched her, P'Arthit... Why didn't you believe me that I never cheated on you, P'Arthit? Why?"
Arthit's eyes widened in shock when he finally understood Kongpob's answer. He didn't sleep with Dalika? But.. But... Then what I saw in the hotel 3 years ago, was wrong?
**********************************
Your opinion about this chapter? Na now you must know that Arthit lost one kidney and Kong never cheated on Arthit. It was obvious that Dalika did something to him. What really happened will be explaned in next chapter :D If some misunderstandings occur then feel free to sent me a message :) Now I'm back to prepare for my Holiday...
Not to Forget: I'm really glad and relieved that the children and their trainer were finally saved, hopefully they can recover from their Horror trip :)
