**************************************
Today Prem and Wad were moving in in their own apartment after both of them decided to take the next big step to advance in their relationship. Together with their university friends' Arthit, Knott, Toota, Bright, also Kongpob, Aim, Oak and Tew, they were bringing the many furnitures packed in boxes in the apartment the couple bought a couple of days ago. Since their apartment was on the first storey, they didn't have difficulties moving the furnitures like they had when they helped Kong and Arthit moving their stuffs. The four girls, Praepalin, May, and Bright's fiance, Kanita, accompanied them to help them with moving little stuffs like clothes and preparing food or bringing drinks for them. Even P'Seung Il and Sun were there, helping as much as they could.
Prem and Wad were chatting while walking over in the big kitchen, putting the two boxes containing their cutleries and plates on the floor. They looked around, noticing that they were alone now whereupon they smiled to each other. The older man stole a brief kiss from his junior. The latter blushed, rubbing at his red cheek Prem kissed him just now, making sure that nobody saw them by looking around the second time. The taller man wanted more skin contact, coming closer to the younger man to kiss him on the lips. They shared a passionate kiss. The moment they dared to deepen the kiss, letting their tongues touch each other, Arthit suddenly entered the kitchen, saw his friend kissing his boyfriend. His eyes went wide from surprise, the box in his hand almost fell to the ground. He blushed in embarassment, turning to run away but Wad already noticed him, shoving the older man back.
Wad loved skinship between Prem and him but he didn't like his family and his friends to see them getting closer due to his shyness. He bowed his head down to Arthit then quickly dashed out of the room. Prem shook his head at his friend, complaining that he came in the wrong time at the wrong place just like Ai'Bright always did. Prem ran after his boyfriend. However Arthit was smiling even though Prem blamed him for ruining their romantic moment. He placed his box close to the other ones, looking to Prem who ran behind his fan. The way Prem and Wad were behaving, reminded him of his past as N'Kongpob and him were moving in their apartment together. That time he was more than happy. Kongpob kissed him in the living room just like Prem just kissed Wad in the kitchen. He even took care of his wounds after he tripped over and the box fell on him. It was one of his happy memories he never wanted to forget. We were happy that time. We didn't have anything to worry about. Now look at what remained of us. We broke up, Kongpob has a son and I... I'm still alone. Nothing than memories remained for me. Memories about us.
He was staring into space while remembering about the past that he didn't realize that time was moving on. A smile appeared on his face when reminiscing about Kongpob teasing him the first night they had to spend in the new apartment. It was a beautiful night even thought he had to complain about his former fiance's being rough in the night. Kongpob was in front of him, gazing at him, smiling to him too. But Arthit thought Kongpob wasn't there but his mind let him imagine the junior standing there. According to himself, his fantasy was playing him a trick by letting him see Kongpob since he missed him too much. He moved his hand to the taller man, touching him on the cheek, caressing his beautiful skin. It felt soft, good and soothing. His lips curved up, a little smile appeared.
The fantasy broke as Sun carefuly strolled in the kitchen, calling mommy to turn Arthit's attention to him. The illusion Arthit was seing should be broken as Sun came to him. Kongpob's picture should vanish all together with his thought about the past but Kongpob was still there. He refused to fade away, to be deleted from his mind. Odd! Arthit moved his hand to Kongpob but retiring his arm back before touching him. He braved himself, touching the younger man's face, nose, eyes. Only now did he realize that Kong wasn't an illusion that was projected by his mind but that he was real. Kongpob was really standing in front of him, mustering his Phee's face as if he saw him for the first time. Arthit was flabbergasted, lost for words. Somehow Arthit was angry at the taller man for not talking to him earlier and let him know that he was really there and not a fantasy. Now he felt like he was taken for a fool who was trapped in a cage and forced ro reveal his longing for his ex fiance. Although he wanted to hide it his longing for him from him.
Both fell in silence, mustering each other's face instead of using the chance to communicate. Sun tugged at his mommy's jeans, holding the little book he brought up, smiling proudly of his achievement for helping them by moving such a big book here. Arthit's anger faded away, he couldn't hold back his laughter anymore as soon as he looked at Sun, he chuckled at Sun's sweet reaction for wanting a praise from his mommy.
„You did great...", he ruffled at Sun's head, taking the book from him and leaving it on his box he just left in the corner.
Arthit took Sun in his arms, walking past Kongpob and approaching the entrance. The taller man looked to Arthit's back, the older man slowly distancing himself from him. Kongpob turned away, reminicing about the past too.
„It reminds me of our moving in together", the younger man suddenly said as Arthit almost left the room, making him freeze on the spot. He sighed, turning back to face the shorter man who still remained frozen in front of the door, staring at the shining laminate of the ground, making a faint breathing sound.
Arthit didn't want to admit that he too remembered the past about them standing in the living room of their old apartment on their moving's day. However his conscience was against the idea to make a comment to Kongpob's statement about their previous flat that should actually rest in the past but Arthit couldn't ignore the fact that Kongpob was missing their old lives, their relationship just like he did just now. „Yeah..."
Arthit was about to leave the kitchen when Sun waved to his father, calling him to his side. With a smile on his face, Kongpob went to them, walking side by side with Arthit, Sun being carried by his mommy. The taller man fullfilled the boy's wish to stand beside his mommy and him but he didn't knew why the boy wanted his parents to walk side by side. Sun was only two but old enough to sense the rift between Arthit and Kongpob. There was something between Arthit and Kongpob that told the little child that something was off between his parents. He even asked himself the question what was different between his parents and between his fest friend's Pete's parents. The difference were: Kongpob and Arthit didn't held hands like Pete's parents. They didn't sleep in the same house, let alone in the same bed.
Sun was at a age where he should learn everything, also question everything. He wanted his parents to smile, laugh, sleep together and held hands like Pete's parents always did. Too bad! He was too young to understand the reason why his parents had to sleep in different bed. No, even if they told him the reason why they had to seperate from each other, he wouldn't still understand them. Because he would ask why they had to live apart even though they were a family. A happy family who should stay together.
Sun struggled in his mommy's arms, giving him a signal to let him down so he could walk by himself. Arthit let Sun down whereupon the child came between them, holding Arthit's hand and grabbing onto his father's hand. Together they went outside, the boy wipping from to and fro in their grips. They came closer to their friends who were still busy with the stuffs they had to carry out of the lorry in the apartment. But as soon as the sweet couple Kongpob and Arthit approached them, they let whatever they were holding on on the ground, adverting their attention to the evil senior and the gentleman junior who amazed everyone during their university's time by announcing their relationship. Even though they broke up a few years ago, they still looked like the sweet couple who loved each other so much. The only thing different from that time was that a child was between them now. It was their child they would raise together in the future. Even though their relationship ended 3 years ago under dramatic circumstances, Kongpob and Arthit still managed to make everyone jealous of their genuine love for each other, the calm atmosphere and lovely air around them.
The sweet couple that actually broke up a long time ago, brought a smile to everyone's lips. It was a breaktaking situation. The way both of them were holding onto Sun, made their friends' heart beat faster, admiring how strong the chemistry between them still was. No one could deny that they were meant for each other even if they didn't realize it till now themselves.
When they seperated from each other by letting Sun being taken care by the girls, Kongpob stood with P'Knott in the front of the lorry, waiting for P'Seung Il to give them the filled boxes that remained in the car. P'Seung Il gave N'Kongpob a box he immediately carried in the living room. Arthit came to Ai'Knott but his best friend returned to the girl as he spotted them having difficulty to move a box. He told them to stand aside then positioned to lift up the box. It was heavy, he was wondering the inside of the box. His muscles tensed up to use more strength to carry the object, his biceps clearly showing in the white T-Shirt, making the girls admiring his strong body built. Kanita, the soon-to-be-bride bit on her lips, staring at her fiance's friend's biceps without knowing that Bright was beside her, cursing at her for loving his friend's thoroughly fitted body instead of his handsome face.
Arthit who saw the whole scene was giggling, couldn't hold back his laughter since the joker Bright was acting jealous for the first time. The oblivious Knot managed to lift up the box then moved to the entrance. Because the wind closed the door, Sun ran there to open the door for his uncle Knott. Since the box was quiet big, it blocked Knott's view, the tall man didn't saw Sun in front of the door. Arthit, wondering about Sun's whereabout, looked around only to spot his boy opening the door for Knott. His best friend wasn't aware of the little child before him, Arthit screamed the boy's name, running there and quickly took his son in his safe arms. Meanwhile Bright yelled for Knott to be carefull, making the latter to turn aside to the place where the voice called his name. He turned at the moment Arthit was about to make the way free for him. Because Arthit and Knott turned in the same direction, the box bumped onto Arthit, pushing them to the ground. The shorter man fell together with Sun to the ground but he managed to hold Sun closer in his arms, turning aside to protect the boy so he wouldn't hit on the hard ground. However Arthit fell on his right side, hitting his body on the hard asphalt ground.
Arthit remained on the ground, Sun sitting there beside him. To see his mommy laying there, moaning in pain, brought tears to the little child. He was crying. Everyone dashed to help the shorter man, Knott immediately deposed the box on the ground to take care of his best friend. He gave him a helping hand to pull him up so the latter could stand straight at his own feet. Bright, the second one to reach Arthit, quickly rolled the latter's Shirt up, revealing the long scar on his right flank. Arthit, shocked about his friend's action, quickly pulled his Shirt down to hide his unsightly scar. Thanksfully no one saw it. Arthit was relieved that he could hide it before anyone could spot the aftermath of the surgery he received 3 years ago in South Korea. But no, Arthit was wrong. He was sure that nobody realized his scar but Ai'Bright saw it. The long scar on his friend's back made him freeze on the spot from shock and surprise.
Arthit brushed everyone's concern towards him off, taking care of his Sun instead, he helped the child to stand up, kneeling down in front of him. To take the child's fear away, he smiled at him, showing him that he was alright. Arthit caressed Sun's soft hair off his face to hide it behind his ear.
„I'm fine... Mommy's alright", he wipped the tears off the child's face, earning everyone's attention on them.
They were surprised at Arthit's soft behaviour towards Sun. They were really mesmerized, also flabbergasted. The gently way he used to take care of the child, was too cute to be truth. The boy's love for his mommy, was beautiful to watch too. They brought tears to the girls' eyes who found them cuddly enough to want to give them a hug. It was the first time they saw the bad-tempered and oblivious Arthit taking care of a child who wasn't his real son. Since Arthit was an only child, he never experienced how to care for siblings. It was the first time they saw their bad tempered friend act as a matured grown up, calming a crying child, showing his sincere love towards the child as if it was his real child. As if he was the child's real mother. Like Kongpob said, Arthit was getting better in raising a child by experiencing success and fails.
Finally Sun ceased with the crying, sniffing back his tears nonstop. Kongpob came in the right moment whereupon Arthit took the boy in his arms, giving him to his daddy.
„Take care of him for me... I have to go for a minute."
„Did something happen?", Kongpob asked. He had the bad feelings that he missed something he shouldn't had. Something bad happend and he wasn't there to prevent it again. His time to appear by Arthit's side really sucked.
Arthit shook his head, „Nothing... I'll go watch my hands and come back right away", he said then took the way to Prem and Wad's bathroom.
Kongpob looked at him till he disappeared from his sight, making a worried face. Arthit went in the bathrom, closing the door tightly behind to make sure that nobody would rush inside, leaning his back on the door, heaving a heavy sight. He made a painful expression, slowly went to the sink, holding onto it then looking at his reflection in the mirror. The pain he was feeling showed that the accident that happened just now wasn't trivial like he said. His right flank was hurting, burning like hell. He carefully lifted up the Shirt, looking at his back in the reflection. The pale skin of the flank the box pressed against, changed into different colour: red, blue and green.
There was a knock coming from outside. He quickly rolled his Shirt down to hide the bruise. As the person knocking, turned out to be P'Seung Il, he staggered aside, opening the door for him. There was his doctor, mustering him from head to toes, looking worried at him. Even though Arthit played the strong man, he realized from his extremely paler skin and the sweat of beads on his forehead, dripping down on his cheeks, that he was clearly in pain. The older man pushed him gently aside, went in the bathroom without waiting for permission from him. Since he was his doctor anyway, he didn't even care about his patient allowing him to enter first. He grabbed at Arthit's hand, pulling him forwards to move to the sink, forcing him to turn around so he could stand behind him and take his Shirt off to see his back. Like he expected, there was a bruise covering a large area of his flank.
„You're acting brave but you can't fool me, you idiot", P'Seung Il was angry at the fact that Arthit tried to hide his injury from him. „Did you try to hide this from me?", he touched on the place, making the younger man gasp in pain but he didn't even feel pity towards the latter since he was irritated from the beginning that Arthit didn't consider to tell him, his doctor from the injury.
„Please, be gentle...", Arthit spoke softly, had to remain calm if he didn't want to make P'Seung Il more angry than he already was. He knew why P'Seung Il was behaving roughtly towards him even though he was an injured patient. It was because he hide his condition from him. Arthit reminded himself to not demand too much pardon from the older man or else he would risk to have P'Seung Il reprimand him for lying to him that he was alright. P'Seung Il was strict if it was about his health after all.
Arthit looked at P'Seung Il's reflection, chuckling as he noticed his Phee worriedly checking him up to conclude any more injuries, not even missing a spot on his body. He liked how the funny and defenseless doctor would turn strict and serious in his element like taking care of his patient. Arthit was grateful towards the taller man for always being there for him but to see him caring so much for him, took him back to the past. The memories from 3 years ago when he arrived in the hospital in South Korea and met P'Seung Il, were so vivid as if he went through the sufferings yesterday. The pain he felt that time would make the experience and their first encounter with Phee unforgettable. Thanks to Seung Il he received the surgery and could recover to who he was right now. It was a long road but together with Ai'Knott and P'Seung Il's help, he survived and even came back to see his family and his former fiance.
„Thanks...", Arthit's mumbled.
Sung Il clealry heard him but ignored him, he was too busy taking care of his patient. A little smile played on the taller man's face, showing that he accepted the younger man's apology and gratitude. He gently knocked on Arthit's left flank, asking him to tell him if something was hurting on the side he was touching now. Arthit shook his head, stating that he only felt pain on the right side.
There was a knock from outside. Seung Il gave the Shirt to Arthit, the latter wore his cloth, forcing a smile on his face to play the brave man again. The older man opened the door, revealing Knott in front of him. Knott entered the bathroom, closing the entrance behind him.
Knott went to check up on Arthit's back, mumbling an apology that Arthit dejected by telling him that it wasn't his fault. „Shouldn't he go to the hospital?"
„No...", Arthit interrupted, raising his voice, refusing to visit the hospital in this afternoon. He lowered his voice as he noticed his doctor's looking fierce at him. „...I mean, I'm fine as long as the healthy side wasn't hurting, right?"
„It's truly fortunate that you didn't hurt your left side but you should still go see a doctor in a hospital..."
„It would be obvious that I'm sick if I left them to go to the hospital."
„First I was against the idea about you carrying such heavy stuffs like moving boxes but you convinced me to let you off the hook because you told me that you couldn't let the girls do the heavy work while you relaxe somewhere. I let you do what you wanted because I believed in you that you'll be careful but look at what happened in the end."
„I'll be careful from now on..."
Seung Il gazed at him, searching for a glimps of truth residing in his promise or in his eyes but he didn't find anything that looked convincing enough. There wasn't a piece of truth in his words. He sighed, giving in, „Okay, I'll let you stay here and help the other but you have to go see a doctor after I take you home."
The shorter man nodded. Knott left the room as Seung Il asked him to bring him a cooling pad to cool down the bruise so the pain could be lessen. As Knott dashed to bring the cooling pad, he met Ai'Bright on his way to the kitchen, the latter grabbing at his wrist, preventing him to went further away from him.
„What happened to Ai'Arthit in Korea?", his expression serious as never before. The first time Bright was so serious was the time Arthit disappeared, abducted from P'Net. Since that day the fierce side of Bright never came out again. But why now?
„Nothing... He went there to work. He wanted some experience in other country."
„Bullshit! Don't take me for a fool, Ai'Knott! I saw a scar on Arthit's back, surely from a surgery". He repeated the question through gritted teeth, „What happened to him?"
This time Knott had no choise as to tell the truth. He couldn't hide Arthit's bad health to his friends anymore. 3 years long he managed to keep Arthit's surgery a secret but he coudn't do it alone anymore. The big secret he had to keep for himself, was eating him from the inside, letting him feel guilty towards Arthit's family, Kongpob, Sun and their friends. He needed someone to share the pain with. Someone who could help him and understand him, helping him to take the heavy burden off his shoulders. Even if Bright wasn't the sensible or helpful among his friends, he still prefered to share the secret with him than with anyone.
Meanwhile Arthit was doing a breathing exercises with P'Seung Il to ease his breathing, making it less painful while breathing. He inhaled a long breath, exhaled through closed lips. Knott came inside, giving them the cooling pad. The doctor crouched down, holding the cold pad on the bruise, making Arthit tremble for a moment due to the cold.
****
It was already dark in the sky as they took the way back home, maybe 6 p.m. After helping their friends with the moving, Kongpob took P'Seung Il and P'Arthit home, driving his own car. Arthit was behind, sitting next to Sun who was safely belted in his child's chair. Seung Il was in the front, he took the place beside Kongpob, earning Kong's irritating expression from time to time. Kongpob was sulking during the whole driving, didn't like the fact that P'Seung Il was next to him instead Arthit. His son managed to snatch his P'Arthit away from him again. It couldn't be that the small child won twice against him, making his mommy favourize him that him. Next time he would be clever to win against Sun and have Arthit sit in the front.
It was a silent road. None of the two men in the front dared to speake since they didn't want to make a noise to disturb the sleepy beauty behind them. Arthit was so exhausted from the whole moving that he couldn't stay awake on the way back home. Even Sun was awake, he was playing, touching his mommy's face, smiling the whole time. He was really impressed by his mommy's fair skin. He liked to caress his face since it felt so soothing. Kongpob looked at the mirror to his son and Arthit, a little smile appeared on his face.
After leaving a few minute of distance behind them, they finally arrived at their destination, the Rojnapat's residence. Kongpob parked on the parking lot, went to the other side to Arthit. As if P'Seung Il sensed something to happen soon, he went in the house, leaving them alone.
„Mommy tired", the young boy realized how tired his mommy really was. Actually he didn't want his daddy to wake him up but couldn't voice his wish.
Kongpob stared at his beautiful Arthit, mustering him as if he was counting every hair of his eyebrown. There was a little frown on the shorter man's temple, Kongpob touched there, gently pressing on the temple to make the frown disappear. A soft breeze passed over them, leaving chill running down their spine. Arthit looked peaceful in his sleep, just like a beautiful doll that was placed there just to be admired. Kongpob smiled, gazing at P'Arthit's red lips, feeling tempted by those sweet lips that were once in his possession. They were the red, soft lips he could kiss every morning and every evening. The red lips he loved to kiss everyday. Here he was now yearning for those red lips again, wanting to kiss them but he just couldn't do it anymore. Those lips were right before him but yet so far away, he couldn't touch them so freely like in the past. He lost everything due to his neglicnd in the past. Kong didn't want to disturb Arthit's peaceful sleep but he had too since he had to take Sun home for a sleep.
„P'Arthit...", a soft voice whispered into Arthit's voice, blowing wind softly into his ear. His sensitive ear tickled, turning red too. He trembled due to the cold wind that brushed against his ear. He turned to Kongpob's side, snuggling just like a little child that was feeling chilly from the cold.
Too cruel! Arthit was with his face and his lips so close to him but he couldn't do anything to him. Fate was just cruel to Kongpob. He felt a piercing pain in his chest, reminding him about the sweet essence he lost by messing up everything in the past. With a heavy burden loaded on his shoulders, he shook Arthit carefully on the shoulder, slowly waking the latter up.
Arthit slowly opened his eyes, revealing his alluring round eyes. The first thing he laid his eyes upon was the handsome man in front of him. „...Kongpob", he faintly called his name. What a handsome man! He's my man. His lips curved up into a smile, his eyes blinked many times shyly.
Cute, was the only word Kongpob could though in this situation.
Arthit smiled brightly, showing his dimple. But the smile dropped when he remembered that he broke up with Kongpob a long time ago. This handsome man wasn't his man anymore. He jumped back in surprise when he finally realized that he was already home. Kongpob let him exit the car. Arthit mumbled somehting like „sorry", turning back to face Sun to bid farewell with the little boy.
Instead of bidding farewell with his mommy, Sun opened his arms, asking his mother to take him out of the child's chair. The older man took him out of the car, carrying him in his arms.
„Mommy not sleep with Sun?", the boy suddenly asked, pouting just like his mother did in the past when he wanted something from Kongpob.
The younger man chuckled, couldn't hold back the smile because the situation, Sun begging Arthit to sleep with him, reminded him of the past. However Arthit tried to calm down Sun by telling him that he would sleep tomorrow with him on his bed. Unfortunately Arthit had to decline the boy's wish since he had to go to the hospital and do a check up tonight. His right flank still hurted but he bit on his lips, playing brave in everyone's front. Sun hugged him, refusing to let go of him. Another speech to calm down the child followed, Arthit made him promises like he would take him to his grandmother, Mrs Rojnapat or spend the night two weeks in a row by them. Only after he promised him that the three of them would travel together, did the boy finally calm down, screaming „yeah".
Sun nodded, smiling here and there. All the sudden the boy gave his mommy a little peck on the lips. Kongpob's eyes widened in shock. No, his eyes didn't only went wide in shock and surprise but in jealousy too. The tempting lips of Arthit he always wanted to kiss but had to hold back, were touched by his son's lips. He imagined how bad Arthit would react if he was the one who kissed him. Of course, he would have to say his goodbye to the world if he dared to kiss Arthit without the latter's permission first. However Arthit reacted shocked and surprised too, asking Sun where he learnt how to kiss someone.
„Uncle Pem and Wa", Sun aswered while smiling brightly and innocently, wasn't even aware that he learnt something they didn't want him to see at his young age. However Sun was sure it was something to be proud of.
Only now did they realize that Uncle Prem and Wad were a bad influence to the kid. They let him see them kissing. Arthit didn't like it that his friends didn't even told him that Sun saw them being intimated with each other. Tomorrow he would call and yell at them later.
„Mommy do daddy too", Sun suddenly said, earning a confused expression from the two.
They had to think for a while before they could understand Sun's wish. The child wanted Arthit to kiss Kongpob too, just like he did to them. Kongpob was surprised but grateful towards his Sun for helping him through such difficult time. His mother Dalika destroyed heir lives but his son was an angel, trying to bring everything in order. He was proud of his little angel he named after his former fiance. While Kongpob was hoping for a passioante kiss but he wasn't convinced either that the shorter man would listen to their child. Never would Arthit forgive him and kiss him as if nothing happened between them.
Arthit shook his head, lying to the child that he caught the cold and didn't want to infect his daddy too so he couldn't do it. Kongpob forced a fake smile, was hurt to be rejected by Arthit. He still didn' forgive me huh... I can't blame him either.
Sun just wanted his parents to act intimated just like his best friend's parents always did. He had to see them hold each other's hands and kiss like other parents did. He crossed his arms over his chest, sulking like an angry puppy. Even though Sun was angry, he was too cute for Arthit. The older man was unable to decline such a sweet boy's wish even though he didn't want to kiss Kongpob. Wait! Didn't he really want to kiss Kongpob? No, he just wasn't brave enough nor ready for such intimate touch.
„Okay... Okay, I'll do it", Arthit gave im.
Arthit turned to face Kongpob, realizing the latter was confused at his reaction to really intend to kiss him. Before the taller man could even think about it nor blink, a hand covered his eyes, darkening his sight. Soft lips touched his cheek, leaving a sweet peck just right beside his lips. Their lips almost touched. Kongpob's view was taken away but he concentrated on feeling listening. Arthit's lips let a warm feeling on his cheek. It was a mesmering feeling he didn't had in those last 3 years. A feeling he missed so much and kept yearning for. A feeling that made his heart skip a beat, tightening his chest, slowly fading the negative feelings inside him away. Words alone weren't enough to describe how he felt right now. A soft wind passed by, rustles of leaves flew by, the rustlings could be heard too. They were indulged in their own universe, the world seemed to stop there at that moment.
Arthit's lips were still on his cheek, leaving a mark on the spot. Before Kongpob could completely enjoy the touch, Arthit quickly took his mouth away, taking his hand away from his eyes too. Another soft breeze passed by. Kongpob still hold his eyes closed untill Arthit called him, telling him that he should open his eyes now. The shorter man's face was loudly red from embarrassment, his ears were glowing red as if he was too long under the blazing sun. Kongpob was still speechless, it didn't take long till his lips curved up into a little smile. He liked it. No, he loved it. Sun was satisfied. Only Arthit was mumbling something father and son didn't understand well.
The older man shoved Sun into his father's arms, bidding farewell then dashing towards the entrance. He wanted to open the door but as if sky and hell were agaisnt him, the door didn't open. Embarrassed about his own stupidity, he pushed against the door, knocking, calling for someone to free him from this situation. P'Seung Il was behind the door, giggling, listening to his scream for help. Only as Arthit desperately tried to break the door, he cleared his throat, finally opening the entrance, playing the innocent man who just heard his knocking. The shorter man quickly rushed in his bedroom, slamming the door behind him, leaning against it and sliding down to sit down with bending up legs on the ground. His face was red, his body temperature raising rapidly.
Kongpob stared towards the Rojnapat's resident, his body heating, his cheek burning hot, his mind in chaos, his heart beating too fast. He didn't know which part of his body he should take care of first. His hand just moved somewhere, carefully touching his cheek, the exact spot where Arthit kissed him, he couldn't hold back the smile anymore. He firmly hugged Sun, calling him the smartest child on earth, feeling proud of his son. The little boy couldn't stop giggling, his father's hair was tickling him. Kongpob walked toward the car while complimenting Sun for being a gift sent from above. His cellphone vibrated in his pocket. He brought it out before entering the car. P'Seung Il sent him a picture. It was the picture of the situation from just now: Arthit kissing him on the cheek. Kongpob chuckled, saving the new image as his screensaver. Today was a wonderful day. He really enjoyed having Arthit back in his life. With the help of his Sun, P'Seung Il and his friends, he would win Arthit back. Hopefully the rest of his life would be as sweet as today too.
****
Arthit waited in front of Kongpob's workplace, the Ind&Technic company, pressing a file wrapped in a yellow envelope on his chest. A half hour ago the latter man called him to tell him that he forgot an important file in the kitchen, asking him if he could bring it for him as soon as possible. Because it was a document that was needed today, Arthit took the way there since he was free anyway. He was still babysitting Sun but today the child had an appointment with his best friend so he let him play in the neighborhood's house for 2 to 3 hours. Beside it was a good experience to leave the house and stroll for a while in fresh air.
He looked at the whole building, his old work place he missed. Ever since he went to South Korea, he didn't work till now due to his bad health. His illness didn't allow him to work with heavy machines anymore so he couldn't continue his profession as Ingenieur. The memories about his old working place came flushing in his head, there were good and bad memories. He had to fight among other intern's intrigue to have a postion as an employee in the office. Here was the place he met P'Net. His heart tightened when he recalled about P'Net. The man who started the disaster. He took a deep breath, deleting the memory about P'Net for a while.
Arthit encountered Kongpob on the entrance. The latter was on his way to his office, waiting for the elevator to come down so he could take it.
„P'Arthit... Thanks for bringing me the file", unfortunately he didn't have any hand free since he was carrying a heavy box filled with other files he needed to went over the day.
The elevator opened. Kongpob, the gentleman he always was, waited for Arthit to enter first. The shorter man was reluctant, gazing in the elevator. Although more than 20 persons could fit in the big elevator, it seemed too narrow for him. Sweat of bead formed on his forehead, he was sweating. He panicked inside but played the brave man as if he wasn't fighting against his inner self. Fighting against his fear. Fighting against his claustrophobia he didn't treat yet since he was busy with his surgery and recovery.
He shook his head, choosing to climb the stairs instead. However Kongpob didn't let go of him so easily, he rushed him to take the elevator since he changed his office from the lower to the upper storey. According to the taller man, it would be faster to take the elevator. Arthit swallowed hard, didn't want the latter to find out about his fear so he entered it, saying over and over again that nothing would happen in his head. Come on, Arthit... Don't be such a wimp. What should happen anyway? The chance that something could happen right now was very low.
Kongpob came beside him, telling him to press on the forelast storey. The elevator went upwards, Arthit bit tightly on his mouth, his lips forming a thin line. He pressed his feet on the ground to keep his balance, his hands clenching on the yellow envolope in his hands, trying to control his breathing. A soft moan almost escaped his mouth but he bit harder on his lips till it bleeded a little bit. Kongpob had his eyes fixed on the screean at the number of the floor they were. All the sudden, the elevator shook, it came to a halt. Arthit let out a panicked but faint scream that Kongpob didn't fail to hear. His body tensed, panik overwhelming him.
„What...", Arthit gulped, gathering every of his strength to speak, „What happened?"
„I don't know...", Kongpob placed the box on the ground, pressing on the emergency button that was drawn in the elevator.
It didn't take long for the security to answer them. The man apologized first, explaining them that they had some technicians to controll the systems but they mistakely cut the wrong wire. He assured them that it would take 10 to 20 minutes to repair it then the elevator would work again but till that time they had to bear it. Kongpob thanked the man for the coorperation, finally adverting his attention to Arthit next to him. Something was wrong with the shorter man. He wasn't calm at all, his hands were trembling, more beads of swet forming, dripping down his cheeks and disappeared under his Shirt. Arthit's face was paler than usual.
„Are you alright?", the taller man asked.
Of course I'm not. Arthit wanted to yell at him that if he did look alright to him but he managed to calm down by telling himself that everything was alright. Damn, my luck really sucks. Just now he assured himself that nothing would happen to him but now he was stucked in the damn narrow elevator. He had claustrophobia, of course he wasn't alright at all but he didn't want Kongpob to find out that he didn't treat his fear till now. He forced a fake, little smile, nodding that he was alright but Kongpob wasn't blind or dumb. Of course, he realized that Arthit was lying. He didn't look too well like he suggested. However he choose not to ask him about it since the latter seemed to hide something from him. Although he was curious and worried, he bit on his lips to not ask about it.
„They'll help us out in a few minutes", he assured him again.
„Yeah...", Arthit managed to speak. His whole body was slowly shaking, his brain wasn't working right anymore due to the strong fear. He tried to stay calm but his fear took over him, his panik raising, making it unable for him to stand straight at his feet.
It was silent in the warm elevator. Kongpob tried to calm Arthit down by speaking about his work as a nanny but Arthit friendly begged him to not speak to him. His brain wasn't working like usual so he couldn't think straight or speak reasonable anyway. Beside he felt suffocated, a persistent lump stucked in his throat, making it diffcul for him to breath easily. It was better to not think or speak at all. Slowly he felt agitaged, couldn't take it anymore. He dropped the yellow envelope to the ground, ran to the entrance, slamming on the door to open it.
Kongpob reated surprised, didn't expect such reaction from Arthit. He went to him, touching him on the shoulder.
„Don't touch me!"; Arthit ordered, shaking his hand off from his shoulder.
Kongpob was persistent, didn't want to let go. He touched him again but Arthit shoved him away, blaming him for bringing him in such a situation again. According to him, it was the younger man's fault that he was stuck in there. Since he wasn't reasoning well, he was angry at Kongpob instead of the technicians who caused the system failure. But who was at fault, didn't matter to the older man anyway. There was only one thought dawning in his mind in that moment: I want to get out of here!
Arthit knocked on the door, trying to open it from the little slide that showed the broad light from outside to them but to see the light didn't help. His fingers were hurting from using too much strength to break the door. Kongpob, worried about him, pulled him back.
„You're hurting yourself", Kongpob uttered, worried about Arthit.
Kongpob took Arthit's hands into his palms, mustering his fingers that turned red from his action from before. Arthit yanked his hands from his grips, stepping back, more like away from him, hitting his back on the metalic wall. The memory about P'Net holding him captive in the narrow basement flashed back, he reminisced about the painful trauma he wanted to forget so much. But no matter how hard he tried to forget it, the nightmare never left his head and his side. They were always there, sticking close to him like a thorn on a beautiful flower.
„Don't tell me... You still have claustrophobia?", Kongpob asked, surprised at the fact that Arthit didn't treat his trauma in the whole 3 years they were seperated from each other.
Arthit ignored him, closing his eyes to imagine that he wasn't in the dark, narrow, cold elevator but somewhere spacious, beautiful, warm and filled with love. But whenever he managed to take his soul to somewhere else, Kongpob's voice would take him back to the cold, dark place in the elevator. Kongpob's soft but deep voice that always calmed him down, was torturing him right now by letting him remember the dark basement P'Net confined him in 3 years ago.
„Why didn't you treat it?", the taller man asked, woundering what Arthit did in the 3 years in South Korea.
„Do you think I have time to treat such trivial matter? Do you know what torment I went through in those 3 years? Do you even have the slightest idea of how much I needed you that time but you never was there whenever I called for you?"
Kongpob was speechless, didn't knew that he blamed him for living alone in South Korea. Why blaming Kongpob? After all it was Arthit's own fault that he had to spend 3 years alone abroad because he was the one who broke up with him. He left Kongpob in the darkness filled with pain. He ran away without giving him a chance to explain himself. Without letting him know about his whereabout.
The tears filling and shining in Arthit's eyes made Kongpob speechless, he couldn't tell the latter his opinion about him causing his own misery by running away without giving him the opportunity to explain himself. The cute Arthit's on the verge of crying, raised Kong's guilt. Only now did he realize his own fault. Arthit ran away but he stopped searching for him a year ago. He shouldn't have give up on him but instead kept searching for him till he found him. Maybe Arthit suffered alone in Korea but he didn't knew anything about it. He wasn't there for him. Neither did he have the slightest idea how Arthit's life was in Korea.
Arthit slided down, sitting with bending up legs on the ground, his palms holding onto his head. His heartbeat accelerated. He panted, it was more like he was slightly hyperventilating.
„I'm sorry...", Kongpob apologized. He kneeled down before the shorter man, grabbing at his wrists and taking his hands away from his face so he could see his face clearlier.
„Just take me out of here...", Arthit mumbled. He knew that it wasn't Kongpob's fault that he got injured in that fight with the 3 men 4 years ago. He knew he was the one who broke up with him but he was angry at his ex boyfriend for giving up on him so easily as he broke up with him. Why didn't you search for me? Why didn't you ask Knott about my whereabout?
„I shouldn't have given up on you", Kongpob admitted, his eyes shining. They were filled with tears too. It was the first he was on the verge of crying ever since Arthit came back to him. Today was just an emotional reunion for them. Today they should use the chance to vent their feelings and tell everything they had in mind. If he wanted to clear the misunderstanding he should speak here and now. „...I searched everywhere for you but didn't found you. Even your parents and P'Knott refused to tell me where you were... I went crazy while searching for you and even neglected Sun... Sun was sick because I didn't take care of him properly. Someday I couldn't take the pain and the emptiness in my heart anymore... I decided to give up on you and fill the emptiness with Sun... It wasn't the same but that little boy filled me up a little bit... Even though Sun isn't my...", he wanted to reveal the truth behind Sun's birth but he couldn't tell him about it. He feared Arthit to change towards the little boy if he knew the truth about the child. No, he should keep the truth a secret for awhile. Yeah, he wanted to protect his Sun but didn't know that there were 3 persons who already found out about his little secret.
The tears finally streamed down Arthit's eyes, rolling down his cheek, disappearing under his Shirt. He leaned his head against Kongpob's chest, his hands pressing on the latter's strong shoulders. He felt safe in Kongpob's strong arms that wrapped around him. This time the soft but deep voice was soothing him, his heartbeat slowed down, his body temperature raising. He coulf breath regular now whereupon he closed his eyes, feeling the calm atmosphere around them. „Please, take me out of here..."
„I'll get you out of here... I promise, I'll keep you safe...", it was a promise Kongpob wouldn't break again. A vow he made to confess his pure love for him. A promise that should help them regain each other's trust. A vow that should show how sincere he was towards his Arthit. This time he wouldn't let anything happen to his Arthit. No one would manage to hurt his love anymore, not even himself. He would keep him safe from this day on and not commit the same mistake again.
His promise to keep him safe, made Arthit feel secure again. His insecurities slowly faded away till nothing of it remained as if it never existed before. He was so calm that he didn't hyperventilate nor tremble in fear anymore. Like he already noticed: Kongpob was and would always be his medicine, painkiller, happiness and now his therapy too. He lifted up his head to look into Kongpob's eyes. Both staring into each other's face, falling deeper into each other's eyes. Kongpob touched on his cheeks while Arthit's hands remained on the younger man's strong shoulder.
Kongpob caressed his thumb on Arthit's cheeks, approaching the older man, his head coming closer to him. The shorter man blinked but he found himself slowly leaning in, closing his eyes too. Before he knew it, he found himself seeking for the taller man's kiss. Longing for his touch, his body, his love and his lips too. Kongpob parted his lips from each other, placing his lips on Arthit's soft lips. He waited for a few seconds, enjoying the sweet moment their lips reunited again. Kongpob kissed him Arthit. But before he could suck on his underlips, deepen the kiss, the door of the elevator finally opened. The security guard standing before them, gasping in shock when he saw them kissing. He quickly turned away, apologizing for interrupting but he lied to them that he didn't see anything.
Arthit blushed in embarassment, Kongpob just smiled, holding onto the latter's hand then pulling him up so the latter could stand straight at his feet. The younger man laid his arm around Arthit's back, supporting him to walk forward. The shorter man was unsteady on his feet, almost fell aside but his former fiance didn't let go of him. He pulled him up closer to his body then supported him safely in his office, letting him lie down on his sofa so he could recover by his side.
Arthit broke up with Kongpob but came back with the intention to not let the taller man back in his life but now he began to accept the fact that he would never be happy without N'Kong. He needed him so he didn't regret the almost perfect kiss from before either. A few days ago it was a brief peck on the cheek between them. Today it was just a little kiss. But tomorrow or in the future it would be a perfect, deep, wild kiss. A kiss that would bring their genuine love back.

What do you think of this chapter? Arthit let Kongpob in his life again :D Kongpob will let him treat his trauma but the kiss... Damn security -.-
Spoiler alert (Don't read if you didn't watch Sotus S ep 1)
Now to Sotus S the Series ep 1 *.* it was really perfect. At first I was worried that it wouldn't be great as the first season and they wouldn't focuse on Arthit and Kongpob much but I was wrong. The whole episode was mostly about them (Perfect). I really loved how they managed to portray the characters so well just like one year ago... But Krist got taller than Singto :D The little smile at the end as Arthit was sad because of his new colleagues ignoring him *.* georgous. Only his Kongpob could make him smile *.* So enough with fangirling while waiting for delightful sub. What did you think of the first episode?
(Translation of the video)
