Chapter 13
I did it again, it took me a whole day to write this long chapter. I think I need a therapy to not write any long chapters anymore :D Enjoy this chapter (Since this chapter is long, I can't update in the next 2 weeks, hope you understand it)
The song's No way by Kim Yong In and Kwon Soon Il from Urban Zapaka (Doctor OST)
*************************************
Kongpob, still standing in front of Arthit, didn't want to move nor give him the opportunity to run away from him. He was curios and needed to satisfy his curiosity by having an answer to his question about the message the shorter man just sent him. Arthit gulped heavily, avoiding his eyes by gazing aside. He searched for the director to use him to save himself out of this situation but the latter was called by Aim, both leaving him alone to confront Kongpob who looked kind of hungry for answers. That bastard... The insult wasn't meant for the director but for Aim who purposely took his last chance to escape away. I'll make sure to thank you later for this, Aim, you traitor.
The taller man waiving his hand, calling to him to have his whole attention on him.
Arthit blinked many times, „I... I...", he couldn't win against his pride and tell him the truth that he was glad that the latter survived the fall. For once he found himself lucky enough to find someone with a skull thick enough to survive such dangerous fall. He was just happy to see Kong alive and healthy enough to search for him first thing in the night after waking up. His face turned red when thinking about Kongpob wanting to search for him but was stopped by his best friend. He tried to avoid him again to hide his blushed face but Kongpob being persistent again, came closer to him and sticking his face close to him whenever he averted his attention in another direction. „Jeez, Kongpob!", he heaved a heavy sight, „Can't you let me off the hook with this and not ask too much question?", since commanding voice wouldn't help by his stubborn Nong, he used a soft voice to make him give in to him.
However his sweet voice seemed to help this time because the younger man blinked many times, keeping quiet for a while but he sat down in front of him, mumbling that Arthit was unfair towards him after writing him such sweet message. Arthit heard him clearly, his face turning more red than before. He ruffled his hair messy, he had to control his temper if he didn't want to snap at an injured man. Calm down Arthit, you need to calm down... He got hurt because of you so you have to give in to him... Although he just tried to keep his calmness, Kong still mumbling that he could be true to his feeling once, almost made him burst in anger. He closed his eyes, Arthit you reaped what you sow, huh... He was mad at himself for being so careless that he sent a message he actually wanted to delete.
„I'm glad that you're alive", he uttered so faint that Kongpob almost missed to hear such sweet message.
Actually Arthit didn't want him to heard it but it was too late. Kongpob remained speechless, didn't expect his evil senior to give out his true feelings he always hide to not give himself away nor be exposed by anyone. It was his turn to turn red, blushing from the sweetness the shorter man was sending towars him. While the taller man was trapped in his amazement for Arthit, caught in a spell that didn't allow him to take his eyes from Arthit, the latter chose to let go of his insecurities and worries, they were gone with the wind. He took his sandwich then took a bit from it, chewing on it, smiling all ears. Apparantly he was more relieved to put his feelings into words, feeling more relaxed and free from worries. After taking the third bites, he heaved a sight, averting his attention to Kongpob.
„Why didn't you grab at my hand as I tried to prevent you from falling?"
Kongpob showed him a little smile that made the shorter man's heart jump for a second. Even if it was just for a moment, his heart skipped a beat upon seeing his enemy smiling sweetly at him. „You have AB Rhesus negative blood group, right?"
„Yeah... But what does my blood group have with your falling?"
„I asked the doctor why he reacted surprised when you told him about your blood group and he explained it to me. Because of your rare blood and only few people in the whole world had such rare blood group, you shouldn't get hurt. He told me that you needed to be careful to not lose much blood or else it would be tight for you since they didn't have anyone with the same blood group like you in Thailand to donate blood in case you needed blood transfusion. That's why he didn't draw much blood from you to donate it to Maya", he leaned his fist at his cheek to support himself, „That's why I didn't take your hand...", this time Kongpob decided to tell him the truth that he hide deep in his heart. „I didn't want to pull you down so you would get hurt and be in danger...", there was the reaosn why he refused to take his hand that tried to caugth him before falling down on the stairs.
The truth Kongpob wanted to get rid of, was too much for Arthit. He froze on the spot like a statue, not knowing how to reply to his honesty that seemed stupid too. So you let yourself get injured to prevent me from getting hurt? Arthit mumbled something that Kongpob missed to hear. As the taller man asked to repeat his words, he told him that he just called him an idiot to get hurt instead of grabbing his hand. Kongpob rolled his eyes at his answer, not satisfied with his reply to his heroic act he thought his reply would be a passionate kiss to thank him. But Arthit calling him an idiot for protecting him was a lie. Arthit said something else but he didn't want him to hear it. It was: „Thanks for protecting me again...". But since Kongpob failed to hear it, it was his problem to miss such sweet gratitude he left for him.
Arthit smiled while savouring his food, showing how hungry he was indeed but didn't feel the need to eat while trembling for Maya's life. Kongpob watched how Arthit took a bite from the sandwich, his adam apple moving up and down whenever he gulged down the food. His own stomach rumbled, he was hungry at the sight of the shorter man enjoying his food. Instead of buying his own sandwich, he suddenly snatched the sandwich out of Arthit's hand then took a bite from it. Arthit remained speechless, couldn't believe that his Nong stole his sandwich from him and was enjoying it like he did just now without having the slightest intention to give his food back to him. However Kongp didn't realize the shocked expression on the older man yet, he mumbled how tasty the food was although it came from a cheap vendor machine. Actually he had the privileg to never taste a food from a cheap vendor machine but he craved for this cheap looking food when seeing Arthit enjoying it without offering him the half of it.
When he almost ate half of the sandwich, mumbling how hungry he was and only this food could queench his hunger, he glanced at Arthit only to notice the latter's shocked expression. At first he felt embarrassed for taking his food away like a beggar but another thought dawned in his head.
„Oh", Kongpob said when noticing the shorter man staring at his lips he had around the sandwich to bite on it. Both fell silent but there was an unexpected change of mood playing on Kongpob's face. He blushed all the sudden, his face taking the pinkish colour, a colour he never showed to anyone before. A colour he didn't even knew his skin could change into. His face was glowing hot, his body temperature raising. He gulped hard.
„Why... Why are you blushing?", Arthit was surprised, couldn't think of a reasonable reason why his Nong would turn red all the sudden. Kongpob's red face made him blush too, without knowing the reason why he tagged along and followed his example to have pinkish colour colouring his cheeks to his ears. Now both were blushing without a paritucular reason.
Kongpob's eyes widened in shock when he remembered Arthit having his smooth lips on the sandwich to bit on it before he touched it with his lips too. Isn't... Did I just share an indirect kiss with him then? „Is... Is it an indirect kiss?", the question came faintly out of his mouth.
Somehow his strange behaviour scared Arthit, he was kept in the dark about the dirty mind dawning in Kong's head. „What the hell are you tal...", his eyes widened in surprise when he saw the taller man's lips twitching around the sandwich. He finally remembered him having the sandwich in his mouth too before Kongpob bite on it. Now his face glowed red, his whole body sweating, „Are... Are you an idiot?", he yelled at him, „An indirect kiss is when you share a bottle of drink with someone"!, he let him know without having the slightest idea of the trigger he pulled in his Nong while telling him the truth he wasn't aware of before.
The younger one nodded slowly. He was a professional when flirting with his sexy women but an idiot in romantic matter. Today he learned one more thing from his evil Phee.
Arthit looked disappointed at him, wanted to jump at him for stealing his precious food from him but he told himself to hold back his temper. You're a grown up man and not an inmature brat like him. He decided to let the matter slide but Kongpob continuing eating his bread filled with meat and salad, made him lose his calmness. „How could you steal bread from a poor man like me, you leech!"
Kongpob blinked many times at the insult his Phee just threw at him, „What... L...Leech? Did you just call me a leech?"
„Yes... You know how hungry I'm because I didn't eat anything since this morning... How dare you rich leech stole my food from me... You jerk, you thief, you vampir", more insults came from the older man. Instead of calming down, he threw every insult in his mind at him.
It was the first time he listened to someone calling him leech, jerk, thief and vampir. The insults he was accustomated to were the nickname's the women gave him, such as „Bastard", „You sucker", „You virginity thief" but they would always ask him for his number and beg for his attention after insulting him when he left them after having his fun with them. How could P'Arthit had the nerve to call him a leech from only taking his food away from him? He felt disappointed and hurt to be called like that after the help he did for him but he didn't dare to reprimand the older man he began feeling something for. Even if he wasn't sure of his true feelings for him, he was scared to see Arthit angry and disappointed at him again if he told him that he hurted his feelings by calling him like that. Never would he survive another blow like the last time as Arthit was hurt from his action. He sulked, shoving the sandwich to his Phee, telling him that he could have the rest, turning away to face another direction, uttering softly that he was mean to him although he spent so much money for him. However Arthit didn't care about about him sulking or spending money on him.
„I'm thirsty...", Kongpob said after having enough from his pointless sulk. Beside Arthit didn't care whether he was angry or not. The latter was devoting his whole attention to his sandwich so his sulking would bring him nothing. Kongpob repeated to be thirsty when Arthit was about to eat the last piece of the sandwich.
„You intend of me to buy you drink even though you're the one with rich household?"
„I don't have money on me... If I travel to somewhere then I always have thousand of bath in my pocket", it sounded like a brag, something that he didn't intend to do. „But I forgot my wallet when I dashed to the hospital to meet you as soon as they told me that Maya was ill...", he showed him his pouty lips to look more pitiful like a beggar who didn't have anything to eat for the night.
Arthit sighed, searching for the last bath in his pocket, buying a bottle of juice from the vendor machine, placing it in front of Kongpob. The younger man opened the bottle, taking a sip from the juice. Meanwhile Arthit ate the last piece of his bread out of anger but since he was stingy towards his Nong and ate too fast, the food took his revenge on him by remaining stuck in his throat. Arthit hit on his chest to gulp down the food, Kong offered him his drink, the shorter man drank it without having the slightest idea of the latter's ulterior motive. Kong approached him to look at him more precise, Arthit's lips clenching around the mouth piece of the bottle he just drank from, gulping down the juice. His heart beating faster the longer Arthit's lips remained around the mouth piece of the bottle, his chest tightening that it almost hurted. He intertwined his fingers together, his lips curved up into a mischievous smile.
Arthit was satisfied after drinking half of the drink. He was curious to know why the man in his front was grining like an idiot but he decided to not provoke him by asking too much. He would be disappointed if he listen to his answers anyway so it was better to leave his curiosity aside to not cause another problem for himself. Kongpob couldn't wipe his dirty smile off his face. So what do you say now, P'Arthit? You just kissed me indirectly... We just shared an indirect kiss... He nearly let out his develish laugh but he managed to controll his emotions to not give away his ulterior motive that he mastered completely.
Yeah, Kong planed everything. He wanted him to buy him a drink so Arthit would be thirsty and drink from the same bottle too. Like he said before, he learned one more think from his Phee today. It was an experience he would never forget in his whole life because it was the first indirect kiss he shared with his Arthit. He couldn't explain it to himself but he loved the idea of his Phee touching his lips. He would be glad if he could have a real kiss with him, their lips touching each other and kissing passionately. He would be glad to have his whole body for himself too. Would the day arrive when Arthit would allow him to claim his body as his and touch him whenever he wanted? Would the day arrive when he could express his hidden feelings more to the shorter man? The future was not prescient enough but he was looking forwards to their future. Kongpob was excited to see how their odd relationship would turn into.
****
Kongpob insisted of leaving the hospital in the same night against the doctor's consultation. According to himself he felt healthy enough to take care of himself at home. The reasony why he needed to leave right now was his mother. He also begged the hospital staff not to call his parents to inform them about his injury or all hell would break loose the moment his mother heard about him getting hurt. Even though he begged them not to call them, he got the feeling that his mother had CCTV's installed everywhere to controll him and was always watching his steps everyday. Beside she seemed to have a son's radar that would signal her whenever something happened to him. If he didn't want to put Arthit in deep trouble, he needed to leave immediately so the hospital wouldn't find the need to inform his parents about the minor injury on his head. Only so would she never found out about his stay in a hospital. It was the only option to prevent his stubborn mother to know about Arthit's existence.
After discharging himself properly by letting Aim transfering the fee in the hospital's account to prevent his mother from knowing about him paying the hospital twice, he took the entrance for outside. He walked towards the taxi's parking lot to catch a cab but someone touching him on the shoulder, made him turn behind to face the person. Arthit was standing in front of him, panting, bending down to caugth his breath. Kongpob waited till he could speak again.
„I heard you discharged yourself...", the shorter man began talking. It seemed like he wanted to know the reason why he wanted to leave even though he was still injured.
„I don't want my parents to find out about my injury. My mom would make a fuss about it."
„Are you so scared of you mother?"
Kongpob wanted to confirm that his mother was a devil everyone needed to be careful around if they valued their lives. She was a control freak of an angel towards Kongpob but she was evil towards everyone else. Sometime she would be cold to her own husband too. Moreover she would turn into a monster when someone touched her precious son. Even though he didn't want to think bad of her, he had to admit that she wasn't easy to deal with. Before he met the older man and began to value his life, he never thought of his mother as a burden for his love life. Kongpob fell deep in though, thinking more about Arthit's question if he was scared of his mother. He stratched at his head, smiling to hide his own thought. Instead of being scared of her, I'm more afraid of her hurting you, P'Arthit... I don't want her to lay her hands on you. Because she would only let you free after destroying you and your family... I'm afraid of her guts... But it wasn't necessary for Arthit to know bad things about his mother. It was better if he thought of his mother as a saint.
„No, not at all... She's not scary", it was a big lie, he needed to cross his finger for the white lie of the year. „I just don't want to worry her..."
„I see...", Arthit gave him a little smile after finding out his purpose for leaving the hospital sooner. In he last time he found more hidden side of Kongpob he didn't expect him to have. Sometime Kong would be soft toward him and even helped him many times out of dangerous situation. Today he learned that he was thoughtful of his parents too. He could understand his worries since he didn't want to worry his own parents too. They did many things for him and still loved him as their son even though he caused their eldest son's death. Yeah, sometimes Arthit blamed himself for the accident that caused Nai's death. He blamed himself to be born on that day. If they didn't want to celebrate his birthday in a prestige restaurant, his husband wouldn't have leave their house to surprise him with eating out in an expensive restaurant. Maybe they would be sitting in their home and have an unforgatable night. Maybe P'Nai would be still alive. Maybe he wouldn't be here talking with Kongpob but would be at home, having a sweet conversation with his husband about their day. Maybe... Maybe... So much maybe he was thinking of but no one to comfort him that the accident wasn't his fault. So much guilty feelings eating him up that he couldn't find anywhere he belonged to.
„Do you have someone to take care of you at home?"
„I'm not going at home but in my hotel. I'll stay there till the wound heal and I can take off the bandage. My mother has her men watching over me in my house that's why I can't go there right now", there was the answer to his question.
„Would N'Aim be there with you?"
„No... He's busy and I don't want to be a burden to him anymore", Kongpob remained truth to his feelings. Sometimes he didn't want to always whine to his best friend and seek for his attention since the latter had his burden weighing on his shoulder too. Aim was just pitiful as he was. His family and his situation wasn't any better than his.
„Then you don't have no one to look after you?", Arthit mumbled, shy to let his worries louder out.
Kongpob smiled as he realized that his Phee was just worried about his wellbeing since it he blamed himself for getting him injured. „Don't worry about me. I'll have countless of maids serving me during my stay in the hotel."
Arthit turned red as tomatoes as he felt exposed by Kongpob, shy because he didn't want to admit that he wanted to take care of him. His voice raised, „Who told you, I'm worried about you", he was fuming, panting after wasting so much energy on screaming at him. But his eyes widened in shock when he finally consumed and understood Kongpob's words. „What do you mean with countless maids?"
Only now did Kongpob notice the trouble he brought himself upon. He wanted to hit his own mouth for giving away too much information. He should think more about the consequences before talking to Arthit. My big mouth will ruin me in the near future. P'Arthit beared grudge after all and wouldn't forgive him so easily if he disappointed him again.
„I regret it that I almost wanted to offer you a place in my home but forget it since you have countless maid taking care of you!", he emphasized the words „countless maids". He couldn't explain to himself why he reacted so impulsive as Kong mentioned his many maids serving him but he got angry and almost exploded in rage while imagining Kongpob sitting on the golden throne, making himself comfortable while being feed by the many maids around him, smiling happily. Arthit felt betrayed from Kongpob enjoying beautiful women by his side. He shook his head, looking at his Nong with disgusting expression, insulting him as „a macho" through gritted teeth. He wanted to hit him but he hold back with his intention.
The taller man was flabbergasted, freezing on the spot upon hearing the alluring offer of his Phee he ruined for himself by taking too much. An offer to spend more days with Arthit in his home? It was an one-off chance he would never receive again. Me and my big mouth. Why my big mouth have to betray me and ruin everything for me right now?
Arthit turned more shy, he was embarrassed for telling him his intention. What am I? Stupid? Why did I tell him that? He wanted to leave to hide his blushed face, passing beside him but Kong grabbed at the latter's wrist, making him stay for a while. Arthit looked at Kongpob's grip holding his wrist, not thinking of letting him go yet. His eyes went from their hands to the taller man's face.
„I think you misunderstand me... I don't have anyone taking care of me right now... I just said it to not have your pity. It would hurt me if you of all people pity me for being lonely", even though it sounded like a lie, it was more like a truth he made sound like a lie. Kongpob was rich and had money but poor in heart, didn't have much acknowledges in matter of love, emotions and friends. His only family insisted of his parents and his best friend Aim who was his childhood friend. Apart from them, he didn't have anyone he could share his feelings and burden with. Even though he had money, those mere papers with numbers written on them, wouldn't help him to overcome his lonely feelings that he began to feel more and more after meeting Arthit. After seing how much the children loved Arthit and how much love he had in his tiny body, he began questioning his own life he had lead till now. His life looked pointless and wasted when comparing him to Arthit who accomplished many deeds in such tiny amount of time. It would be sad if the poor man he hated at first but was loving, was pitying him. It wasn't his pity he wanted but something else. But now he couldn't detect the feelings he wanted from him yet. He knew he desired the shorter man but he wasn't sure of his wishes.
Sometimes to tell the truth was helpful than telling lies after all. Arthit believed him this time, knowing he must had been lonely in his whole life but somehow he didn't pity him just like Kongpob wished from him. He felt his chest tightening, his hear skipping a beat again in front of his Nong. Even if he wasn't aware of the fact that he was slowly developing something for his junior, he wanted to be beside him. He felt the need to take his lonely away.
Arthit gazed at Kongpob's grips that still hold him whereupon the latter finally let him go, uttering an apology for holding him back. The older man distanced himself from him, there went his opportunity to spend more time with Arthit too. He was sad about him missing his chance, looking at the ground, hiding his eyes that were filled with sadness. Arthit remained on the pedestrian's area after taking a few steps away from him.
„Wait there for me... I'll catch a cab for us and come back to you", it was a promise Arthit didn't want him to feel joyful about so he spoke as soft as he could.
Even though Arthit didn't want him to celebrate his stay with him in his house, Kongpob smiled all ears, showing his complete teeth. He rejoiced his victory behind the shorter man, couldn't believe his luck that brought him closer to his Phee without knowing that someone was behind him, looking at him as if he was an insane pervert who found something joyful enough to celebrate. Kongpob turned around while cheering by himself but jumped back in surprise when he recognized another man standing there in the darkness in front of him. It was his best friend Aim, shaking his head at his friend for losing his sanity from the heavy hit on his head.
Kongpob rubbed against his too fast beating heart, „Why do you have to sneak on me like that, you creep. You scared the s*** out of me, Aim", he whispered, couldn't raise his voice since he didn't want P'Arthit to find Aim or else he would let him take care of him instead.
„What are you doing there, Ai'Kongpob?", Aim asked him, he had to find the answer or else he would call the doctors to check him up whether he was healthy or had problems with his brain.
Kongpob looked behind to Arthit, the latter was still busy catching a taxi on the street. He turned to face Aim, sneaking to him to not avert the shorter man's attention on them. „You need to go away immediately", he whispered.
„Why? I came here to offer you a ride at the hotel and take care of you while your stay in the hotel but you're urging me to disappear?"
„No, you can't help me because you have a date tonight!"
„What date? I don't remember having a date today", Aim fell deep in thought, thinking hard if he really did had an appointment with one of those rich girls his mother send to him as his blind date.
„That's your excuse if someone ask you why you can't be there for me this night... I don't need your help right now because Arthit wants to take me at his home and take care of me while I'm still injured. To have Arthit pamper me sounds much better as having you by my side, Aim..."
„Ah, I see...", Aim nodded, confirming that to have a sweet man like Arthit pamper him would be more effective to regain his health and let them come closer but he felt hurt when he finally understood his friend's words. „Did you just insult me to not be useful enough?"
„Yes!", Kongpob was smiling brightly, trying to sound more friendly and positive even though he just ridiculed his childhood friend. Because of him being too happy, he wasn't aware of his action that pushed Aim to not listen to him.
„I'm going to stay here and ruin your plan... As payback for calling me useless!", Aim grinned brightly at his own evil plan. Today he should take his revenge on his best friend by ruining his intention to stay in Arthit's home. I'm sure it would be a heavy blow for him if he missed his chance to spend more time with P'Arthit. There were red evil's horns emerging on his forehead for his master plan.
„No, please go away, hush hush", Kongpob begged at him, knowing that he needed to beg or else Aim would really stay there and come between Arthit and him.
„What hush hush? Am I a dog?"
„Yes, my loyal dog", Kongpob continued rediculing him.
Upon hearing him calling him his loyal dog, Aim wanted to hit on his head but a firm voice screaming at him, made him retire his arm. Both turned around only to face Arthit standing in front of them. The 2 young men remained brave like little children who broke their mother's favourite vase and were afraid of being reprimanded by her. Arthit stomped to them, facing Aim who was innocent in their little childish quarrel.
„What do you think you're doing?", Arthit asked him, looking at his hand that almost hit his injured Kongpob's head.
Aim gulped hard, afraid of the older man's scary expression. He bowed down his head to him, wanted to tell him that he didn't intend to hit on his head but Ai'Kong provoking him, made him want to hit him just once. Arthit shook his head, telling him that he shouldn't treat injured patient like that or else he would detoriate his health. According to the shorter man, his poor best friend needed every care right now to recover faster so his mother wouldn't be worried about him getting injured. After hearing Arthit telling him that Ai'Kong was worried about his mother, his eyes widened for such big fat lie.
„Ai'Kong, you big liar! Since when are you worried about aunty?", Aim whispered through gritted teeth so the older man wouldn't hear them. He glanced from the corner of his eyes at Kong, mumbling insults at him like he was selfish and inmature.
„Young people this day", Arthit called them young even though he wasn't much older than them. He was only 2 years older than them but acted more mature as if he was much older than his actual age. „And why can't you look after him in the hotel?"
Aim was busy insulting his friend that he missed Arthit's question. Kongpob slightly hitting his ellbow in his friend's flank, made the taller man hiss in pain, facing Kongpob to scream at him but he turned to face the shorter man when Arthit glared at him. He remnisced the excuse Kongpob thought for him a moment ago whereupon he lied that he had a date this night and needed to be there in an hour.
„When will you two grow up one day? Instead of chasing after women, you need to settle down someday", was the advice the also young Arthit left for him. He went beside Kongpob, laying his arm around the taller man's shoulder, „I'll help you to the cab or do you feel well enough to move around by yourself?"
Aim wanted to ruin the moment for him by telling that Kongpob only hurted his head and not his leg. Since he didn't feel dizzy at all, he could move by himself. However Kongpob already noticed Aim's intention and pinched on his arm to shut him up. He nodded to Arthit that he needed help since he felt dizzy too. He leaned his arm around Arthit's hips to support himself. With his Phee's help, he moved fowards to the taxi that was waiting for them.
Kongpob looked behind his best friend, showing him the OK sign, thanking him for always supporting him. He would never admit it but he didn't want Aim to look after him because he was worried about him. The latter seemed exhausted in the last days. Surely his mother listed him his many flaws again and forced him on more blind dates he hated so much. It was better to give him more time for himself to rest at home.
Even though Aim tried to sabotage his plan, he smiled at Kongpob since he felt happy for him. He didn't mean it serious to ruin his plan anyway but just wanted to make him waver on purpose. He spoke without letting a sound out, telling him to keep fighting. He saw to them till Arthit helped Kongpob to climb in the car and the older man taking seat beside him. Their taxi drove away. Both best friends were worried about each other but they would never admit it since emotions and being sentimental weren't meant for „though men" like them.
It looks like I'm going to have a date tonight... He decided to visit a pub and have fun with a beautiful girl but a woman's voice calling to him, made him freeze on the spot. May, holding food in a bag for Maya and the director, called to him. He went to her, asking here what she was doing there. After answering him that she was there to visit Maya and bring her some porridge, he decided to follow her. Instead of having fun with a woman he would know for just a night in a pub, he wanted to be there for the little girl too. Maybe he would switch shift with the director and stay beside Maya with May. It was better to help someone in need instead of only looking out for fun. While Kongpob and Arthit were on the way back home, he took the direction to the hospital with May by his side.
****
Arthit and Kongpob finally arrived at the shorter man's flat. Kongpob was shy to enter the house even though he was there once when he had to took care of the sick Arthit. This time it was different. It wasn't him looking out for Arthit but the older man inviting him in his flat. He was so excited that he was afraid the shorter man would notice his too fast beating heart. They went in the small house, Arthit offering him to sit down on the sofa while he would bring him something to drink.
The moment Arthit took the direction in the kitchen, Kongpob's stomach betrayed him by rumbling loud from hunger. He felt embarrassed, rubbing on his warm stomach to ease his hunger, „Sorry, I didn't eat anything beside the sandwich today."
The shorter man took a look at the clock hanging on the wall, it was already just after 11 pm. Actually he never ate at such time but he was hungry himself. „Not that I want to make it for you but I'm going to cook because I'm hungy too", it was an excuse since he didn't want to admit that he couldn't let Kongpob sleep with empty stomach. Because he was poor and was accustomated of eating a meal a day sometimes, he could sleep without eating something but it was different for Kongpob who was a spoiled brat.
Arthit went in the kitchen while Kongpob make himself comfortable in the sofa in the living room. Actually he wanted to follow him in the kitchen and obverve him while cooking but Arthit didn't allow to follow him. He lied that he didn't like someone gazing at him while he was preparing food in the kitchen. The truth was that he was accustomated of his husband looking at his back while he was cooking but he would feel uncomfortable to have another man beside his Nai staring behind him. Kongpob searched for the best position in the sofa, could finally settle down in a stranger's home. As he wanted to switch the little television on, there was a picture with the image turned down on the shelves beside the television. He was curious so he went there, taking the picture. Artit just walked out of the kitchen with a bag of crips in a hand but he suddenly snatched the picture out of his Nong's hand the moment he saw him holding the image he hide to never look at it. Somehow he looked angry at him for wanting to look at the image he hide.
„Don't look at my things when you're in my house!", Arthit sounded so firm like never before. It took them back to the past as Arthit didn't like Kongpob and yelled at him for the slightest mistake he did in the orphanage. This picture seemed precious to him so he didn't want strangers to touch his beloved property.
„I'm sorry", Kongpob apologized, somehow hurt about Arthit yelling at him to not touch his things. Arthit screaming at him, let him remember that this flat wasn't his home and he wasn't welcomed after all. It was P'Arthit's home and he shouldn't cross the border between them. They were only strangers. He went to sit down in the sofa like a brave little child.
Arthit apologized to him for raising his voice at him, telling him that he wasn't angry at him but at himself. He hide the picture not because he didn't want him to look at it but because he couldn't bear himself looking at the image. He would break down if he just saw a glimpse of the picture because it would let him remember painful memory so it was better to let it hidden for a long time. He didn't tell him about the image but wt was a picture of his husband and him smiling at the camera. A memory that should be beautiful but ended up being a painful memory ever since his husband died. He let the picture frame in the shelves then gave him the bag of crips to mend his anger, talking sweetly that he should wait a little bit for the food. Kongpob remained sad, couldn't forget Arthit's sad eyes when talking about the picture. He wasn't angry at Arthit for raising his voice at him but hurt to see Arthit sad.
Who makes you so sad? What makes you so sad? Is it a memory you want to seal forever instead of facing it? Now he was curious to know more about the picture and Arthit's past. He hated the fact that he knew nothing about his Phee. It was time for him to find more information about Arthit. Surely the kids from the orphanage would be helpful if he bribed them with money and with sweets.
Kongpob shrugged off his curiosity for the time being, opening the bag of crips and stuffing his mouth full with crips, not paying attention and letting crumbs of the crips falling to the clean ground. He watched some funny program on the television while eating the crips.
It didn't take long for Arthit to prepare the food. Since it was just rice omelet, he mamaged to prepare it in a three-quarters hour. Kongpob and Arthit were sitting in the small corner of the living room that was the dining room, more like the dining corner. There was a small table with four chairs around it, both sitting opposite to each other. Each one of them had a plate filled with omelet in front of them, the cutleries and each a glass beside the plate. There was a bottle of water close to Kongpob on the table and a glass filled with pink milk drink in front of Arthit. Even though it was an easy dish that didn't need much talent in cooking, Kongpob could feel his stomach rumbling and his motuh drooling from only looking at it. It was the first time he saw something like omelet. Because he only ate expensive cooked from a head chef that was his personal cook, he didn't know much about commoner's food. It would be his first time to eat food that wasn't prepared by his personal chef cook too.
„Actually I don't eat from 10 p.m but...."
Arthit just took Kong's food to his side, „Then don't eat it if you don't want to gain weigh and scare the women away from you", the shorter man said, ready to eat his food too if he refused the omelet he made exra for him to fill his empty stomach.
Kongpob snatched his plate back, „Who said I won't eat it?", he blushed while thinking about Arthit preparing food for him. It was his Phee's food cooked by his soft hands so he needed to eat it even if he had to break his diet plan. He was grateful for his effort so he would gladly savour it bite by bite.
He took his first bite of the yellow looking food, chewing slowly on it to taste it first before gulping down. The sweet flavour of the rice and the taste of the eggs spread in his mouth, the food easily melting in his mouth. It tasted delicious. He craved more of this commoner's food so he took more bite of it to eat it fast and go for another round, drinking water to gulp down the food that stucked in his throat. Arthit acted normal, turning his attention on his own plate as if he didn't care at the latter's reaction to his omelet but he stole many small glances from the taller man, his red lips curving up into a sweet smile, revealing his cute dimple. The taller man eating the omelet at full speed, was more than sweet. It was melting his heart. So cute! I didn't know you have this cute side too, Kongpob. He giggled faintly to not raise his curiosity why he was laughing.

After eating the midnight lunch Arthit cooked for them, Kongpob felt full after eating 3 whole omelet within one hour. He never ate in the night to maintain his bodyshape but this night he didn't care about his figure he was proud of and trained much to have such nice muscles. The shorter man came out of the bathroom after taking a 10 minutes of bath, wearing his pyjama, darkblue shorts and a darkblue T-Shirt with „a lovely night" written on it. His hair were still wet, waters dripping down from his hair. He dried his wet hairs with the towel, approaching Kongpob, waiting in front of him.
To see the out of the bathroom fresh showered Arthit in front of him, triggered something in the younger man. The shorter man looked sweet and innocent in his pyjama, he was tempting, making Kongpob flustered and his heart thumping hard. He turned red, could feel something down between his legs forming, turning hard all the sudden. No, no, now... Not now, little Kong. He immediately dashed in the bathroom to hide his member that turned hard at Arthit's mere sight, leaving Arthit in a flabbegasted state.
Kongpob stood in front of the mirror, gazing at his reflection. His cheek were still red, his entire body feeling too warm. He hit on his cheeks to get rid of his dirty mind. „How could you get horny in front of him?", he asked himself, looking down between his legs. „He's not someone only to satisfy your lust! You will lose your chance to learn more about him if you are so direct!", he shook his head at his little brother that was still hard. Shame on you!
There was only a shower in the little bathroom, no bathtube he loved to bath in after having a hard day and joyful night with his women. He shrugged off, climbing in the shower, turning on the water faucet. Instead of showering warm, he showered with cold water to decrease his too warm body temperature. It was too cold but he needed it to turn back his little brother into his usual state when not active. It lasted five minutes but his member remained hard. Why so persitent today, Nong? Do you have a hard time because it's P'Arthit?
After he finally cooled down, he turned on the faucet, showering with warm water now. He ran his fingers through his hair, raising his head to let warm water falling down on his face. It felt fresh to shower. Somehow he felt more relaxed in Arthit's home, not having his mother's men observing him to inform her about every slightest change in him. So this is how it feels to be free, huh?
Twenty minutes later he left the shower, only wearing a towel around his hips to hide the one of the two most important part of his body. As soon as he left the bathroom, he met Arthit who was about to enter the bathroom. The shorter man bumping his head against his chest as they met in front of the bathroom. Arthit carried a pyjama, dark shorts and a white Shirt. Apparantly he wanted to sneak in the bathroom and leave this cloths for him but Kongpob finished showering too soon. Arthit unintentionally mustered him from head to toes, his eyes wandering on the taller man's body. He saw almost everything, from his brawny stomach and chest, broad shoulder to his amazing biceps that took him many months in the gym to have such nice muscles. Arthit gulped hard, couldn't take his eyes from him. His eyes were filled with lust, something he didn't feel again after P'Nai's death.
It was the first time in almost 2 years that he saw a man's half naked body like that. His heart was poundering too hard, his face turning red to his ears all the sudden, he was blushing so much that it was too obvious for the taller man. Of course Kong was enjoying this moment, having the older man's attention on his body. The more Arthit looked at him, the closer he would get to him. The longer Arthit gazed at him, the more the latter would crave for his amazing body many women didn't have enough of. His dying for body he satisfied many women with, was his proud after all. Maybe someday he would have to satisfy Arthit with his body and amazing skills in bed.
„I'm... I'm...", Arthit stuttered, couldn't find the begin to start a conversation. „I wanted to give you this", he shoved the pyjama to him, running away in the direction to his bedroom.
„Where should I sleep, Phee?"
„You're going to sleep on the sofa of course", Arthit replied loud without looking back at him. He shut the door behind, leaning his back on the door, sliding down to sit on the ground with bending up legs. His hands covered his face that was still red. How could you look at him with so much lust in your eyes, Ai'Arthit? He was ashamed of his action that made him look like a s** beast who craved for Kongpob's body. How should I look him in the eyes again? Only now did he realize that he betrayed P'Nai by gazing at his Nong with so much passion.
I'm sorry P'Nai... I won't do it again... He took his eyes from his face to stare space at the wall but he couldn't forget the alluring presence of the younger man. His body was temtping and so damn hot to forget. The picture was stuck in his mind, refusing to be deleted. No, what am I thinking about again? It's not okay to think of my Nong like that. Even though Kongpob wouldn't mind him having dirty though about him, he couldn't accept the fact that his Nong turned him kind of horny after those many years of him holding out without having a man by his side. He covered his face on to lap, leaning his arms around his under legs. I don't need anyone in my life. I don't need a man beside P'Nai. Kongpob woke up a desire and pleasue in him he hide deep in his heart, something he didn't want to feel again after P'Nai's death.
Meanwhile Kongpob already wore the pyjama Arthit gave him, it was somehow small for him. Apparantly it was Arthit's pyjama. He smiled as he though of him wearing his Phee's clothes he wore before. Actually the shorter man could give him P'Nai's cloths that would suit him more but he didn't want anyone to touch his Phee's property. Even if he died long ago, he still wanted to cherish the memories with him by having his clothes and property in his closet.
Somehow Kongpob couldn't sleep at all, he felt uncomfortable sleeping on the small sofa. His whole body was aching, his neck feeling sore. He left his sleeping spot, knocking on the door of Arthit's bedroom. The older man was already laying on his bed, snuggling in like a small ball since he couldn't sleep at all.
„What?", Arthit bent up from the bed.
„I can't sleep. Actually I can't sleep on the sofa because of my sensitive skin. My neck is hurting too, P'Arthit", he used a soft voice to make him pity him this time.
Arthit remained on the bed, wavering to open the door for him. Ever since he had such pervy thought of Kongpob, he didn't want to be close to him anymore. If he didn't want to betray Nai, he needed to maintain a certain distance from his Nong. As Kong didn't hear anything from his Phee, he gave up on sleeping beside Arthit. When he was about to leave to the sofa, the door finally got open, Arthit revealed in front of him.
„Come in...", he allowed him, letting the door open while he went to his bed.
Kongpob, feeling happy of gaining his Phee's trust to let him sleep beside him, entered the bedroom without any ulterior motive. He just wanted to sleep on a comfortable place. Arthit let him in because he couldn't let him hurting his head when laying on the sofa. He injured his head for him so he should thank him from saving him many times. It wouldn't hurt to have him sleep beside him for a few night. However as soon as Kongpob laid on the bed, Arthit took a pillow from the bed and a futton out of the closet, putting it on the ground, laying on it, covering himself with a blanket. Kongpob didn't like them to sleep on seperate place. Both fell quiet, a disturbing silence raised between them in the room.
The younger man couldn't sleep this time either. „Actually I can't sleep on a stranger's bed... It's not my own...", Kongpob began talking.
Arthit sat up, „Shut up with your actually!", he snapped at him. He already had enough of his whining. He had to gather much courage to let a man in his house no man set foot in after his husband's death but he dared to complain everytime he proposed something for him. Out of anger, he ruffled his hair messy, almost ripping his hair from his head. He laid down back on the futton, a little smile appearing on his face. „Jeez, that boy knows how to go on someone's nerve...", he uttered so faintly that Kongpob missed to hear him. He covered his face with his blanket to avoid looking at Kongpob again.
There he was! The fierce P'Arthit Kongpob missed ever since he stepped in his bedroom. His Phee seemed distant and somehow sad so he was worried about him. But now he didn't have to worry about him anymore since he seemed like the old evil senior again. It was more funny to tease him when he was his old self. Kongpob wanted to ask whether he could turn the lamp that shone a dim light but he was afraid of the sorter mn losing his temper at him again.
„Kongpob?", Arthit called but there was no answer from the taller man. He took the blanket from his face, taking a glance at him only to realize the taller man sleeping. There was a faint snor coming from him. He giggled, „Who just said that he can't sleep in stranger's bed?". He sighed then laid back on the ground.
Sorry I can't give you my body like you suggested of me but I can work till I pay off the money you lend me for Maya's surgery. He would never sell his body because he would never allow himself to sink so low but he would work like crazy for him to pay off the money for Maya's surgery. It was the least he could do for him. He felt the need to take this burden upon himself instead of sharing it with the director and the other staff of the orphagane. It was his duty to devote his life to the orphanage to thank them for taking him in as his parents left him there.

Kongpob woke up from a disturbing sound echoing in the bedroom, it souded like someone moaning in pain. He sat up only to find Arthit snuggling in like a small cat, shivering in his sleep, moaning. The sound came from him. It seemed like he was suffering from a nightmare. He tiptoed to him to not wake him up, crouching down before him. Beads of sweat dripped on Arthit's forehead, his whole body was covered in sweat. Kongpob touched on his forehead, he was warm after all. He couldn't take his eyes from him, worried about the shorter man.
„What's wrong, P'Arthit?", he carefully caressed at his head, putting his bangs aside that fell on his eyes. Finally he could see his eyes clearly. Worry were written on Kong's face, „What is making you suffer so much?"
„Phee... Please... Don't... leave... me", Arthit was sleeptalking, he was dreaming about his husband leaving him alone again so he was chasing after him. He trembled as if it was too cold for him. „Nai... I... need you..."
Phee?Nai? Is he talking about a senior? Who ist hat Phee? Why is he so afraid of losing him? Is he so important to him that he would break down and suffer if he left him? Kongpob felt sad that Arthit was thinking about someone else while he was there for him. His heart ached, his chest tightening when thinking about his Phee having someone important in his heart that he was even dreaming about the person. He was jealous without knowing that the man named Nai Arthit was dreaming of, was already dead. He was jealous of a dead man but wasn't even aware of it and of his own feelings yet.
However he pulled the blanket to Arthit's neck, sitting down before him. Since he seemed to be afraid of losing that Phee, he would claim to be P'Nai this night. „It's okay... I'm here, Arthit... I won't ever leave you", his deep but soft voice spoke calmly, he hold onto his hand while caressing at his head.
His tender touch seemed to calm down the shorter man. Kongpob realized that his hands and his voice were helping the older man to take his bad dream away so he continued caressing at his cheek, whispering to him that he was there for him. Arthit suddenly grabbed at his hand, not letting him go during the whole night. Kongpob yawned, feeling sleepy. After managing to make Arthit sleep without having a nightmare, he wanted to return to the bed but Arthit was still holding at him. Unfortunately he couldn't free himself out of Arthit's strong grip. He couldn't yank his hand by force either or else he would wake him up and his effort to make him sleep would be in vain. There was only a soloution for both of them. He would stay here till the shorter man let him go then he would return to the comfortable bed.
Even though he wanted to return to his bed, he was too tired that he couldn't hold back his sleep any longer. His neck was moving dangerously, almost hitting his head on the edge of the bed. There were faint snores echoing in the air, both were sleeping side by side, Arthit laying on the ground while Kongpob was sitting before him. Apparantly both of them were so exhausted that they would sleep straight the whole night. Kongpob could sleep in a stranger's room and Arthit managed to sleep safe and soundly without having any nightmare this night.
****
The morning light shone under the door in the bedroom, Arthit and Kongpob changed their sleeping position they had in the night. The taller man was laying on the futton on the ground now, Arthit snuggling in so close to him as if he was his fan he didn't want to be seprate from, his hand still holding onto Kongpob's hand.
Arthit woke up from his long sleep he didn't have in two years, slowly opening his eyes, revealing his big round puppy eyes that were hidden under his long eyelashes. Finally the beautiful sun was awake. But there was something wrong. There was a man beside him. He didn't realize the situation yet so he smiled at the sleeping man beside him, looking at him with so much passion and desire filled in his eyes. Kongpob's silky skin was glowing this morning, his effort to take care of his skin with expensive products every morning was worth it after all. Arthit's arm approached the taller man, he wanted to touch his cheek but his eyes widened in shock when he finally grasped the situation. Kongpob? He bent up, shouting the younger man's name, pushing him away from his body.
Kongpob groaned from the rough treatment he received so early in the morning. Arthit looked down at his body, listening closer to his body to see if he had any symptoms from having a rought night with a certain someone. But he didn't feel any back pain nor any pain behind.
„Don't misunderstand me, Phee", Kong smiled, thinking how sweet his Phee was blushing while thinking he did something to him in the night. „I didn't take advantage on you while you were sleeping. You had a nightmare and I got rid of the bad dream by talking to you till you calmed down..."
Arthit's face was glowing in rage at Kongpob's response to his reaction but he still covered his arms on his chest to hide his body from him.
Kong chuckled, „I won't take advantage on you but wait for you. Only if you're awake and let me do...", he couldn't end his sentence since the latter threw a pillow on his face.
„You jerk!", Arthit yelled at him, stomping out of his own bedroom but he had to leave since he didn't want him to tease him anymore and make him blush the whole time.
Kongpob couldn't hold back his laughter anymore, he fell down on his back on the ground, laughing to his heart's content. Arthit's innocent reaction at his tease was too precious, funny, sweet and alluring. Now he felt the need to tease him more to see him blush in embarrassment for him.
While Kongpob was happy being beside Arthit, there was a terrifying event happening in the Suthiluck's villa. Mrs. Suthiluck was in her office at home, many DIN 4 pictures of a young man scattered on her working desk. The picture above the other was a closer look of the face of the young man, he was smiling at someone, his sweet dimple showing. Her male secretary was in front of her, the desk seperating them.
„His name is Arthit Rojnapat, an orphan but adopted in...", it was he beginning of the information her secretary was listen her.
She looked at the man on the picture while her secretary was telling him hidden information about Arthit's life.
