- coronation day -

As reality shows, it actually took way shorter than expected for Namjoon and Jin to finally receive the education needed to become king's. And that time was only one year.

The two said males stood beside each other on the patio balcony, looking out at nothing. 

"Do you think they'll show up?" Namjoon questioned his soon to be husband. 

"Who? Jungkook and Taehyung?" Jin questioned back receiving a slight nod from the younger. 

"God I miss those two, it feels like it's been a year since I've seen them."

"Joon, it has been a year." Jin jokingly smiled at Namjoon who raised an eyebrow at himself, seeming to think for a moment, and chuckling before resting his face back down. 

Many people were already lined outside, so excited to see the crowning of the two new king's. It was the first moment ever in history for there to be two male king's. Jin and Namjoon were both proud that they were able to be the first.

"You two have been staring at literally nothing for an hour are you that bored?" A voice bluntly asked, the said 'two' realizing the voice belonged to Yoongi. 

Jin whipped his head around first and rolled his eyes. "That is no way to talk to your king."

"Eventual king." The said latter corrected, raising a finger up with his correction before approaching the two.

"Where is Hoseok?" Namjoon questioned, receiving a low sigh from Yoongi which basically already gave him his answer. 

"Talking to you know who." 

Both Jin and Namjoon immediately knowing who it was, they both turned their heads back to the nothingness and decided to pick up a new conversation. "What time is it?" Namjoon suddenly asked.

"11:42." Yoongi replied.

"Already?!" Jin and Namjoon both said in unison. The coronation began at exactly noon, and since it was an event all about them the last thing they could do was be late to their own event.

Neither even said goodbye to Yoongi who chuckled as he watched both run off and down the stairs.

"Everyone may take their seats!" The king announced, causing all of the citizens to sit down in one of the fashionably made chairs in part of the garden. Including Taehyung and Jungkook who were giggling to each other while sitting down, waiting for anyone to notice them.

Namjoon tried to be subtle about looking for Jungkook and his boyfriend but now it was quite obvious that he was looking for something.

"Babe you look like a lost duck looking for it's mom right now." Jin whispered into the said males ear as the two stood on the podium. The younger quickly stopped what he was doing and kept his head still now, cheeks glowing red out of embarrassment.

The king cleared his throat before speaking.

"I would have never imagined in a million years that right here right now I would be crowning my faithful butler and chef to be king's in front of thousands. But here I am apparently." The crowd chuckled.

Just as the man was about to say another sentence, he noticed out of the corner of his eye his son and Taehyung sitting in the back seats of the row. A huge smile formed on his face before bringing the microphone back to his mouth.

"But more than anything, I am very grateful to have my son here with me today. Jeon Jungkook may you please stand up."

Namjoon and Jin both excitedly smiled along with everyone in the audience, including Hoseok and Yoongi. 

"Why does he want me to stand up." Jungkook whispered to Taehyung making the said male giggle. "Just go you big baby." The older stated as he pushed up his boyfriend to standing position.

Once the ex-prince was standing up, there was silence before a giant applause came from the crowd. No one had seen Jungkook in nearly two years, it was only him and Taehyung. Of course they had their fights but most of the time they were smiling and laughing with each other.

Taehyung rolled his eyes at how Jungkook was just standing in the middle of everyone with an awkward smile on his face, so in that case he pushed the said male onto the carpet runway and shooed him off.

"Go." He motioned knowing Jungkook's father, Namjoon, and Jin wanted him up there with them. A faint blush appeared on the youngers cheeks before slowly making his way up to the stage with all of the clapping still echoing in the background.

Once on the stage, Jungkook was instantly engulfed in a large hug from his father almost making him want to cry. 

"I'm so happy you're back son." The man told making his son smile. "I missed you too dad." He sweetly replied.

The crowd cheered as Jungkook moved on from hug to hug, finally reuniting with all of his favorite people once again.

"I missed your cranky stinky face little bro." Namjoon blurted out causing Jungkook to scoff. 

"Excuse you?" The younger whispered back. 

"That's my way of saying I love you." He told making Jungkook chuckle. "I love you too you rat."

Taehyung smiled in the background at everything that was going on. He also wanted to say hello to all of his old friends, but he decided to wait until the coronation was over. He just knew that everyone wanted to see Jungkook at that instant.

Once the ex-prince was done, the king placed two crowns in his hands and walked over to his son.

"I wonder son, would you like to help me do the honors of crowning these two." He asked with a smile on his face, receiving a happy nod from Jungkook who was given one of the crowns. The pair walked over to the soon-to-be kings and stood directly in front of them. 

Once the audience realized Namjoon and Jin were soon to be crowned, everyone stood up on their feet and smiled at the scene. Especially Taehyung.

"I hereby crown Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin as king's of the Jeon Kingdom." The king announced before he and his son placed the crowns on both of the males heads. 

After this action took place, a large applause erupted from the crowd causing the four males on stage to smile to the extent. Jin and Namjoon bowed to the crowd before cuing the dance to begin.

"I'm so proud of you koo." Taehyung happily told Jungkook who smiled in return. "I wouldn't even had gone up there if it wasn't for you." He replied making the latter chuckle.

"Yeah that was kinda' my fault wasn't it." He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck making the younger laugh as well. Even as the days and years past by, Taehyung never grew less cute or adorable in Jungkook's eyes.

The two were about to get food before Taehyung was tapped on the back by a random finger. The said male curiously turned around along with Jungkook and his heart immediately sank once he saw who was standing in front of him.

"Jimin?"

"Hey Ta-"

"What the fuck are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be in jail?" Jungkook suddenly blurted out, standing in front of Tae in fear that Jimin was going to hurt him. 

"I was bailed out.. but I really would like to speak with Taehyung for a second-"    "You're not going anywhere near him." The younger interrupted.

Taehyung sighed and broke apart the two. 

"Jimin I'll talk to you, but I'm not leaving Jungkook's side. So you can say whatever you want to say to the both of us." He told making Jimin quickly nod, because he really wanted to say what he had to say. 

"Okay um, I just knew you guys would be here today and I really hoped I would find you so I could apologize.."

"We would be here all day if you're going over everything you need to apologize for." Jungkook blurted out making Taehyung roll his eyes and shush him.

"Jungkook I love you but please shut up." He told making the said male gulp, nod, then look down.

Jimin hesitated for a few before speaking again. "I know words can never make up for what I did to both of you, especially you Taehyung. All of that time I spent down in that cell made me realize how bad of a person I am and I feel horrible about it."

Taehyung nodded, understanding what the latter was saying. Jungkook still wasn't buying it though.

"I cannot really say sorry for everything I have done to you, or else we would be here all night like Jungkook said." Jimin sadly chuckled. "But I want you to know that I am truly sorry for everything and I wish I never did any of those things to you. You don't ever have to forgive me or speak to me again but I just needed you to know that."

There was a moment of silence before Jimin spoke again.

"Honestly before everything, I really did just want to be your friend. I don't know what happened or what changed, but being your friend was the best thing that probably ever happened to me and I am so dumb for taking it for granted. I understand that I do not deserve to be your friend anymore, but I am very happy for you that you found someone that makes you happy because you deserve it." Jimin shamefully looked down at his feet.

"And Jungkook I am also really sorry for what I did to you.. I should have never kissed Lucas that one night which is what I regret the most because what I did ruined our friendship. We used to be best friends and I ruined it for good, I just want you to also know that I am deeply sorry for what I did to you and your boyfriend."

Jimin finally looked up from his feet to see Taehyung with a soft smile on his face and Jungkook still looking down, but he didn't seem mad anymore. He seemed quite happy actually but he was trying to hide it.

"I also know no living thing or friend can be replaced, but I thought you two might like this." The said male stated before taking his arms out from behind his back.

Jungkook and Taehyung were both confused until they saw Jimin holding a soccer ball sized cage with a teeny-tiny white dove inside of it. Almost looking like it was just born.

"I killed your guys's dove the night of the ball before I was arrested, I was just mad and jealous and felt like I had nothing better to do. I honestly don't know what I was thinking, but I do know now that I am so sorry I did that and I should have never even thought about it in the first place. I hope he sort of makes up for it." Jimin stated before handing the cage to Taehyung who felt like crying seeing the little dove.

"P-pete.." He stuttered out. He missed that bird so much and would cry about him on certain nights still. He knew that this wasn't Pete, but it was a reminder of how well the last dove treated him which made him happy.

After Jungkook and Taehyung stared at the cute little dove for a moment, they turned their attention back to Jimin who was sadly smiling.

"I do not forgive you." Taehyung stated, receiving an understanding nod from the latter. "But I am not mad at you anymore." 

Jimin opened up his eyes and gave the younger a smile and thanking him before turning his attention to Jungkook.

"I hope you understand that I cannot forgive you within a single day, and probably not ever." Jungkook boldly told making the elder nod.

The ex-prince sighed. "But, maybe down a long rode in the future I will not hate you anymore if you stay away from Taehyung from now on that you're free."

"I promise I will go no where near him or you. Actually that is all I really wanted to say and give, I'll let you too be alone now. Thank you for listening to me." Jimin told, about to leave before he was stopped by Taehyung.

"Hey Jimin?"

"Yeah?" The said male quickly turned around at the speed of light.

Taehyung smiled before speaking.

"Thank you for apologizing."

A soft smile appeared on the elders face, also receiving a smile from Jungkook making him feel even better. 

"Thank you for listening." Jimin replied, giving the two one last thank-filled smile before walking away and out of the crowd, happy that he was semi-forgiven even though he felt like he didn't deserve to be.

After the ceremony was over Taehyung and Jungkook bid their goodbyes to everybody, promising that they would return to visit soon. They were the last ones to leave the palace since all of their old friends would barely let go of them.

"What should we name him?" Taehyung excitedly questioned Jungkook who he was holding hands with, holding the cage in the other hand.

"Pete 2.0?"

"He isn't a robot." The elder joked making the younger giggle.

"Well do you have any ideas?" Jungkook questioned, raising an eyebrow in the process.

Taehyung tried thinking of names, but nothing clicked to him since all he could think about was Pete.

"I just want Pete back so I want his name to be Pete.. but I don't want to replace him." He pouted, that is until Jungkook came up with one of his brilliant ideas.

"How about Pete the Second? He can be a prince." He smiled causing the elders eyes to light up.

"That's perfect!" He exclaimed, wanting to jump in joy but he didn't since he was holding the cage with the dove in it. Instead he kissed Jungkook on the cheek. "This is why I love you."

The said male gushingly smiled back before Taehyung giggled.

"But I love Pete the Second more."

"Hey!" Jungkook almost yelled while lightly elbowing the black haired males side making him laugh even harder, all while the ex-prince was pouting.

'I'm really jealous over a damn bird again.'

i am happy and sad to announce that this is the end of Sous Chef! Thank you all so much for the support on this book and I'm sorry it took me so long to update this final chapter. If you read my last message on my message board I explained that I took a short break from wattpad, but I decided to hop on yesterday and begin writing this final page.
