I spend the next two weeks ignoring anything James Potter or Sirius Black had to say, including Sirius' teasing yells across the hall saying 'You alright tiny tits?'
I did however speak to Remus a lot, which I think ticked off James even more because I was going out of my way to talk to anyone but him. I even spare a small smile for Peter Pettigrew most days who I'm almost sure doesn't actually hates me he just wants to fit in with his friends.
Potters words had had more of an impact on me than I'd ever tell anyone. I've worn more makeup ever since he said it and have even stuffed all my bras with socks.
James has been hunting me down whenever I'm alone, telling me he's sorry. I simply turn the other way.
Severus and I are eating lunch with some of his friends, I do receive several scowls from them, no doubt because I'm a muggleborn, but I pay it no mind.
"Maddison?" I hear Remus' voice approach the Slytherin table, I turn around to send him a smile. "Hi." I say with a grin. "Can I borrow you for a second?" He glances awkwardly to the others. I nod sheepishly and pack up all my stuff.
I place a hand on Severus' shoulder, his head gazing up to me. "I'll see you in potions." I smile sweetly. "Right.. I'll see you there." He nods, hesitating a little.
I head out the great hall with Remus and follow him like a lamb to the slaughter up to the Gryffindor Common Rooms.

"Jesus Prongs this isn't just a crush anymore this is a psychotic breakdown." Sirius complains, flopping back on the common room couch as I pace.
"It never was a crush. Get that idea out of your thick skull. She's a friend and I made a mistake so I'm apologising." I remind him furiously.
"So you think tricking the girl into our common room with Moony, trapping her and not letting her leave until she agrees to be your friend again is a suitable apology?" Peter repeats.
"When you say it like that—"
The portrait hole opens and her laughter floods the otherwise empty room, immediately bringing a smile to my face. To my dismay, that laughter stops the second she sees my face.
"I'm sorry. They made me." Remus apologises sympathetically, sitting down where Sirius is lying, the two of them whispering squabbles about Sirius' feet or something.
Maddison sighs in defeat and starts to walk out. "Colloportus." I chant towards the door, we all hear it click shut.
She turns around very slowly with a face of fury. "Can we just talk?" I plead.
"Last time we talked I recall Black pressing two pancakes onto his chest at breakfast and then launching them at me, followed by a chant that submerged the entirety of the great hall chanting 'tiny tits' in my direction until Dumbledore silenced everyone and I walked out." She smiles smugly, knowing I can't disregard the torments caused because of my words.
"That wasn't me." I deny. "Whatever. I have class. I need to go." She says pointedly.
"Look I was drunk at a party and Sirius brings out the worst in me. I didn't mean to say it, it just slipped out." I try to excuse. "It's true. I bring out the worst in him." Sirius nods in agreement from the couch.
"Fuck me then." She suggests calmly. My eyes widen and my jaw actually falls open. I swear I feel a slight twitch in my underwear. I hear all three of my friends gasp simultaneously.
"Excuse me?" I hear my voice shifting ten octaves higher than normal.
"Never mind actually. I'm not fuckable, am I? Isn't that what he called me, Sirius?" She goes on her tiptoes to peek over the distant couch at Sirius who is stuffing his face with chocolate he stole off Remus.
"I believe the word was unfuckable, but yes. That's what he called you. Now if that offer is an open sort of thing I suppose I could take it off James here's hands?" Sirius smirks flirtatiously, relishing in the embarrassment of Maddison and the rage of me.
"Look Maddison. I regret what I said, I don't mean it, I take it back. I've apologised and haven't been able to forgive myself. I don't know what else I can do in this situation. I really like you being my friend and I don't want to argue with you. So either forgive me or don't, but I'm not sitting here begging you every other day." I blurt out.
She frowns and folds her arms in that way she always does when she's pressured. She finally meets my eyes and clearly sees the pleading in my eyes because her face softens.
"I want to forgive you but what you said really hurt." She confesses with a glimmer in her eyes.
"Mads you're the most gorgeous girl I've ever met. And even if I did mean what I said you still shouldn't let something some arsehole says affect you because you're so incredibly pretty." I admit firmly.
I can see the dimples in her cheeks appearing slowly as a smirk and blush appears on her face.
She steps forward and stretches a hand out, offering it as a peace offering. Instead of shaking her hand I pull her into my body for a hug. She chuckles gently against my chest.
I notice the way her breasts are softer than breasts should be. I don't have much experience with boobs, but I can tell for sure that she's stuffed her bra with socks or something. I obviously would never mention it but the thought makes me mentally kick myself.
"Fantastic. Prongs and The Mad Hatter are besties again. The world is healed. May we please go to potions?" Sirius begs in a tired grunt.
"Sirius Black wants to go to class?" Remus teases. "I'd rather spend 12 years in Azkaban than listen to one more second of this shitty romcom scene." He fires back dramatically.
"Wait, the Mad Hatter?" Maddison's face lights up.
"Shit." Sirius says.
"Shit." Remus says.
"Shit." Peter says.
"Shit." I say, all four of us standing on guard.
"You guys know that book? That was my favourite growing up." Maddison grins.
"Actually that's our nickname for you. We saw you reading it and researched it, we figured you were fucking mental just like him so we've called you that ever since." Sirius confesses bluntly.
Peter swings a pillow into Sirius' guts after that as we all stare at the unwavering girl to see her reaction.
I expect tears, maybe even fist fighting with how mean that is. Instead, her face morphs into a rather surprising one. A bright grin.
Then she laughs. We all smile uneasily, waiting for her to kill us all. But she just giggles cutely. "I like that. He was always my favourite." She says joyfully.
"Oh.. So you're not angry?" Peter asks slowly. "Not at all, there are worse things you could call me." She shrugs unbothered.
"Brilliant." I smile happily, "Now why don't we go down to potions." I'm quick to say before she changes her mind.
"Sit next to me?" I beg her.
"Fuck no! That would leave me next to Snivellus!" Sirius yelps with disgust.
"Who is Snivellus? And who's this prongs you're always mentioning? You guys are so weird." Maddison's face morphs into a confused one.
"Hey don't categorise us with him. Sirius is weird, we're just unlucky enough to be friends with him." Remus teases.
"You can sit on your own. I want to sit with Mads." I refer back to the original topic.
"Mads? That's seriously disgusting. You disgust me." Sirius glares at Maddison.
"I can't, I'm sorry. I sit with Sev in every class." Maddison smiles sheepishly.
"Sev? That's even more disgusting." Sirius groans.
"I'm sure he won't mind." I insist. "James. It's a no." She warns. "Right, fine. But I get to sit with you in at least one class." I demand.
"Whatever." She dismisses, leaving the common room with the four of us trailing behind her like lost puppies.
"So you got a crush on Sev?" I mock, clenching my jaw and trying not to show how angry I'd be if she replied yes.
"You got a crush on Lily Evans?" Maddison challenges. "Why? What'd she tell you?" I furrow my brows.
She tilts her head to the side just a little then walks ahead shaking her head. "Nice one." Sirius scoffs. "What? I didn't even answer the question." I sigh, knowing I've probably done something wrong again. "I don't think girls really like hearing the implication that your ex has something to tell." Sirius smacks my back.
We all jog to catch up with her. "Can I carry your books?" I offer. Maddison glances to me, eyes me up and down then scoffs. "I think I'll manage." She mocks.
