Zuri Anna Bassett is a pop singer and former Disney Channel actress best known for her roles on Girl Meets World, Liv & Maddie, and Jessie. She began her career at 14 and quickly rose to fame. Zuri is also recognized for her close friendship with Sabrina Carpenter, whom she met on the set of Girl Meets World. After transitioning into music, she has released multiple albums and collaborated with notable artists, such as Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.

Zuri and her sister, Aisha Mia Bassett, famous actress, were raised in New York by their aunt, acclaimed actress Angela Bassett, after their parents having a terrible accident. She started taking acting lessons with her sister and later also singing lessons. She first gained recognition through her works with Disney Channel, eventually becoming a teen favorite.

She won multiple awards, from the Grammys, to the VMA's. She succeeded in selling out all the stadiums she toured in and all her albums and cds too. She went on a world tour, the Resilience World Tour in 2023 following the release of her latest album. She became Woman Of The Year in 2023.

FAMILY LIFE

She and her older sister, Aisha Mia Bassett, were raised by their aunt Angela Bassett in New York City, after their parents had a car accident and left them with their aunt. Bassett always supported the two girls with their dream of becoming artists.

Zuri dated fellow Disney star Cameron Boyce from 2013 to 2014, and the two remained close friends even after their breakup. She was devastated by his passing in 2019 and wrote a song in his honor.

In 2019 she had a brief relationship with fellow singer Harry Styles. Some songs on her second album (2019) are rumored to be about him.

In 2022, she began a relationship with actor Ryder Blackwood, but the two broke up in early 2024.
