It's nearly sundown and we managed to arrive early than expected, "i'll go say hello for a sec" heuning kai stated, getting a nod from heiryung as a respond before rushing towards the front door. Clicking onto their housebell as a figure approached through the door. "hi! i'm finally here" he warmly greeted, giving a slight bow to the elderly which gave him a bright smile, "it's good to see you again, hyuka" she mumbled out before jumping for an embrace to him. A soft smile appeared on his face too, it's as if he's back in his mother's arm again.

he pulls away from the embrace as heiryung popped by the side with her hands full, flashing a smile to the woman. The elderly twitches, "who's this..." she trailed off, looking curious with her presence. An awkward smile came out from him. "nice to meet you, i'm cha heiryung " Heiryung bowed slightly as she balanced out all the stuff in her hands. "i'm here to help with the delivery, i hope you don't mind me".

The elder giggled, "of course not, we're glad you could help out. Please do come in, any company of hyuka's is also family" she gave a sly grin, escorting her to enter before giving a cheeky wink to kai as he only gave an awkward laugh. " i'll go get the other stuff"

the first step for heiryung was already magical as she witnessed the beautiful christmas decorated filled all around the house. Garlands were hunged down from the wall and lots of stokings were also hung by the fire place. "you can put the cakes in the kitchen on your left turn for serving. I'll call the others to help out bring the presents inside" the voice of the elderly came from behind. She was still in awe by how wide the orphanage was. Turning left from the living room; where the medium-sized tree was standing with beautiful decorations and ornaments being hung towards the long dining table with all the cutlery being setted nicely in place and finally arriving to the kitchen.

The kitchen was filled with a few people who wore chef hats and aprons, assuming they were the cookers of the house. "the cake is here, where should i put it?" heiryung spoked up, feeling small as all eyes turned towards her. In an instant, everyone went back to their work, fully focused on making the dishes "you can put it heree" someone voiced out with a dialect, waving up a knife as she signals the empty table spot just a few meters in front of her. As she finally lays the two cake boxs on top of the counter, she rushes off outside to help with the rest.

"i think that's the last of it" heiryung squeaks out as she took grasp of the two last boxes before signalling kai to close the carboot. She waits patiently as kai finished closing the carboot and took ahold of the presents into his arm, going back inside side by side. "umm.. am i allowed to keep you from home till late night" heuning kai questioned with his eyebrows furrowed, feeling guilty for keeping her from her family on christmas eve. 

Heiryung finally realises that the sky started to turn dark, being too absorb into the delivery as she forgets to keep track of time regularly. Shooking, "it's fine. Don't worry, i'll inform the others after this" she calmly responded, not wanting him to feel any kind of guilt or anything. Just hoping that her presence here would make things more ease for him.

After placing all the presents by the christmas tree, a swarm of children rushed their way into the living room, looking thrilled to see the presents. They both helped out with a few odd jobs and had the chance to help put up the ornaments onto the tree. And as they finally finishes, all the food was ready to be served, filling the whole house with delightful mouthwatering aroma. The cake they bought earlier was also served in between all the food. All the children had eyes full of joy to see the miracles happening today.

All the house members too, urged both heiryung and heuning kai to stay for the little celebration and presents opening. They were welcomed warmly with open arms from everyone, especially heiryung despite being a rare sight to see new faces. 

All the children couldn't waste any minute longer for them before swarming around the christmas tree to find their personal presents. Heiryung was awing the sight as she leans against the wall, hugging herself.

"don't they just look the happiest?" a voice came from the side as it brought heiryung back from her deep thoughts. Tilting her head to the side, seeing heuning kai's figure approaching with mugs of hot choco in his grips. Standing firmly again on her two feets as she takes a mug from his hand. "yes, they deserve eternal joy" she softly interpreted before sipping onto her hot choco, feeling warm as her hands cups the heat coming from the mug.

Things just couldn't get any better as a sudden force was felt from heuning kai's arm, pushing his arm to the front as the mug was safely in his grip but some of the water managed to splash out onto his hands and the floor. He hissed a little as the hot water temperature made contact with his bare skin.

Heiryung gasped as she realises the incident occurs despite some of the hot choco managed to splat on her skin too. Heiryung puts her mug safely by the near table as she also took away his mug and pulled him by the arm to the kitchen to cool down his burn with some cold water.

After a few minutes of leaving it by the cold running tap water, heuning kai sighs in relief. As they were going back to the living room, heiryung was still glancing at the part where hot water splashed onto as the skin has already turned to colors of pinkness. "is it really fine now?" heiryung nudged, halting her track. "maybe we should put an ice pack..." she murmured, suggesting despite knowing how hot the choco was. "i'll go ask-"

heiryung was about to go back to the kitchen but was pulled back by his arm, shooking, "it's really finee.." he confessed, persuading her with a soft smile. Heiryung gave out a sigh as she admit defeats.

"oh, both of you.. look up!" a high pitched voice came from the front, catching both of our attention as she insists on looking above. They both of them finally realizes there was a mistletoe hanging above them by the hallway. "wait, what is this called again?" heuning kai suddenly asked as both of our faces were still giving long gaze toward the mistletoe. 

Heiryung gave out a snort, "it's called a mistletoe".

"really? i've only heard it before but i've never seen it with my own eyes" he exclaimed, astonished to finally be able to witness a mistletoe after long years. Heiryung gave out a chuckle.  "do you know what else i've heard about the mistletoe" he suddenly started, now darting his eyes straight towards her. Noticing on how their bodies were faced with each other already. "i've heard that if two people meet under a mistletoe... they would have to kiss each other"

his statement made heiryung's eyes shake. Sure, she already knows the fact about that but actually hearing it from him made her inside feel weird. "k-kiss?" she murmured underneath her breath.

They gave out a long stare to each other as kai slowly approached closer by each second. Heiryung's heart was beating fast, it was as if it was loud enough for him to hear it thump. Both of their faces were plushing red as they got closer and closer until kai's soft lips finally met with hers. It was a long peck as they finally pulled away from each other as people was starting to surround them, blushing in heat.

heuning suddenly starting coughing down his throat, "well, we better take our leave first. It's getting pretty late" he concluded as the elderly was already here, witnessing the whole scene herself. They all cheered for them and gave their final goodbye as it might take awhile for them to finally meet up again someday. They had long warm hugs with the children before parting ways. Everyone gave a warm goodbye outside eventhough the cold was quite harsh but the moment was a precious chance. 

the car ride back to the post office was quiet and awkward as they each took short glances of each other throughtout the whole journey. It was a lifetime experience for heiryung as she concluded that this christmas would be impossible for her to forget anytime soon in the future.

they finally arrived at the post office and heiryung's car stood out most between the empty parking lot. He personally stopped by her car as she shortly exited the vehicle after giving back the post uniform.

"heiryung-sshi" heuning kai called from inside the vehicle as she sqauted down a little to his eye level. "thank you for everything.. and for today" he smiled.

She gave out another soft smile in exchanged, "thank you for today too... it was an amazing experience" heiryung uttered out, as flashbacks occured inside her head. "then i'll see you soon"
