Don't do it.
She caught me once,
A limp body against the bedside in contrast with hues of silver and red,
And a blurry world that moved too fast.
My heart broke as she knelt beside me,
Her hand tracing patterns on the scars revealed,
And a look of terror and overwhelming sadness in her eyes,
"Why do it?" She wept , as did I ,
I replied,a faded memory now, "It's the only pain I have control over"
Her eyes, now failed to reflect what she felt.
She drew a butterfly on both my wrists,
"Don't kill them. They are learning to live . Let them grow "
World faded back into consciousness,
"I won't ,Mom. I'll give them a second chance"
