My ears have heard the sound of it

But I never saw it,

The shrieks of my sister when ,on Christmas,  our dad never came back but a coffin did,

Howls and sobs of my brother when his best friend was in a drunk driving accident ,

And the quiet weeping mother who realized  that we had more to pay off than our earnings,

Whimpers of my trembling lips  as the blade touched my wrist ,

Christmas was never  the same again.

My ears heard heartbreak.

And it ruined me.
