"You met a girl?" Wrecker asked his brother in complete surprise. Tech didn't even look up from his research, eyes trained in concentration. "Yes." He replied flatly. "I don't understand why that's such a surprise to you all." He added before typing away and adding to his current project "You aren't the social type." Crosshair noted, his tone coming off as sinister but Tech didn't think much of it. None of the Bad Batch usually did. "I am just about as social as the rest of you." Tech noted. "Just proud of you, is all." Hunter chimed in, patting his shoulder with a smug grin. "Never thought you'd be the first of us to get some." Tech leaned back from his work to look at his brothers. "If you are insinuating that I engaged in intercourse then you could not be more incorrect. Miss Star Light was nothing more than a stand-in medic." "Like a hot nurse." Wrecker teased which only caused Tech to roll his eyes. Every time he thought he and his brothers were on the same wavelength he was hopelessly disappointed. He wished there was someone who would share his enthusiasm for new information. Someone who valued learning as much as he did. Unfortunately it did not seem like that someone, if they even existed, would be one of his brothers. He would have to find that someone on his own and Crosshair was right about one thing, his social skills did lack quite a bit. Therefore, most of the time he firmly believed that finding someone who enjoyed learning things like he did was hopeless. He turned back to his current project, throwing himself completely into the work while he dismissed the ongoing chatter about his brother's training session.

"Was someone else here today?" Lama Su asked carefully as she stepped into Star's small room. The Pantoran girl felt an indigo tint cover her cheeks, she was blushing. "No..." She tried to lie. "Star." Lama Su pressed on. The Kaminoan was the closest thing Star had to a mother, she had practically raised her in the absence of her biological mother. "Okay okay." Star finally admitted even though she didn't need to admit it, Lama Su knew her body language better than anyone. Lama Su could tell when she was lying. "Why don't you tell me what happened?" Lama Su requested and Star nodded. "The medical wing was overworked today so they sent me a clone with a minor injury. To practice with." "Did you happen to catch the clone's CT number?" Lama Su asked but Star shook his head. "No. He mentioned his name but I don't remember what it was... I would know it if I heard it though." She replied as she rested a finger on her violet lips in thought. "But he didn't suggest anything about leaving or going outside." Star was quick to inform the Kaminoan. "I was safe, I promise you." Star added. For years she wasn't allowed to leave her quarters without permission from Lama Su and she had no idea why. Lama Su had always assured her it was for her own safety but Star couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it then just that. She didn't want to be a bother and pester the woman to tell her but her curiosity did wonder from time to time. "The clone who came by, did he have any distinctive features?" Lama Su asked, curious if the clone who had come by could possibly be one of the genetically mutated ones. Star thought about it for a moment. "Yes! He had goggles! And his hair was much lighter than that of other clones." Lama Su didn't need to hear anymore. She immediately knew who the Pantoran had spoken with. "That is all I needed, Star." Lama Su said as she turned to leave the girl once more, completely alone as always. That is, beside the company of Gink.

The sound of doors sliding open caused the members of the Bad Batch to look up from their current conversations. "Clone Force 99." Lama Su said as she stood at the doorway. "I am looking for the one of you who calls himself Tech." She spoke and all eyes turned to the clone with goggles. "Come with me. We have things we need to discuss." She added and Tech stood to walk over to the door like a child in trouble. Wrecker chuckled as he walked. "OOHH TECH'S IN TROUBLE!" He teased but Hunter nudged him before shaking his head at him, a symbol for him to stay quiet. Once Lama Su had Tech outside in the corridor she quickly began addressing the situation that was at the top of her priorities. "It has come to my attention that you have visited my medic in training. Star Light." Tech nodded. "Do not do so ever again." Lama Su quickly added causing Tech to look up at her with furrowed brows. "And why not?" He asked. "Star is not like the other medics. She is not here by choice." Lama Su began explaining. "She is here because her parents made a deal with us, a deal that had to be made for Star's safety." "I'm afraid I am not following." Tech replied as he tried to decode what the Kaminoan was saying. "Star Light has a rare respiratory disease. She cannot breathe any air that is not sterilized. On Kamino, specifically the cloning facility, the air is sterilized for our medical procedures. Her parents reached out to us not long after she was born and begged for help. We offered for her to stay here under the condition of her training to be a medic to service us." Lama Su informed him. "How bad is her disease?" Tech asked and the Kaminoan stopped walking to look at the clone. "If Star Light so much as breathes outside air she will die."

Die? Tech mulled over the words in his mind. There was no way a simple breath of fresh air would kill her like that. Fresh air is good for most people. Most people, most was the key word there. Tech felt his heart sink. But why would that keep him from seeing her again? "I do not understand," Tech spoke up, "How is it that Star Light's disease keeps me from seeing her?" He asked, peering up at the Kaminoan through his glasses. "You become an influence on her. She will want to leave and won't understand why she can't." Lama Su replied. "But keeping a young woman with a spirit like hers contained without any physical relationships could be damaging to her mental state." Tech replied, thinking about an article he had read one night about a life without any social interact and he had been thankful for his brothers for once.''What do you mean?" Lama Su asked. "Well, a person of any kind needs social interaction of some kind. It's a fundamental part of life and self validation and appreciation. Without it miss Star Light's mental performance will dwindle." Lama Su seemed to mull over his statement, contemplating what he had said. "So if I allow Star Light to have interactions with another living being once a day her mental state will improve?" The Kaminoan asked as she turned to face him and Tech nodded. "I can provide the research to show it." He offered. "You can be the research." Lama Su said flatly causing Tech to raise a brow at the Kaminoan. "I'm sorry?" "I will allow you to interact with Star Light once a day every day to conduct an experiment if her mental state will improve at all." Tech nodded at her words. "I will be a part of your experiment." He agreed. "When do we start?" Tech asked curiously, the excitement of a new experiment began to swell in his chest. "Tomorrow."
