Chapter 1
Everyone, except Park Jimin, fell asleep fast after the lengthy journey. Awake in his room, he found himself going through his laptop, attempting to identify the celebrity who had materialized in front of them on move-in day. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't uncover her name; the black mask and cap she wore had kept her face almost fully obscured, protecting her privacy as she hurried into her house. Rubbing his sleepy eyes, he looked out the window to see the celebrity's house door open. He rushed to the window and cautiously drew the curtain aside, just in time to watch her race into a black car sitting in the driveway.
She jumped into the car and drove away into the darkness.
"Is she always this busy?" he asked, sighing as he finally shut his laptop. His eyelids drooped, and he fell asleep as the laptop's glow cast a soothing light across his room. At 5 a.m., the sun began to peep through the window, jolting Jimin awake.
"Ugh," he sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair and reluctantly got out of bed.
After his morning routine, he changed into black shorts and a loose white shirt, adding, "I hate summer days."
As he exited his room, he noticed Jin stumbling out, yawning with his hair ruffled in all directions. Jimin couldn't help but laugh at Jin's disheveled state. "Oh, Jimin, you're awake already? Today is a Sunday, thus there will be no classes. "Our first day is tomorrow,"
Jin said, sleepily.
"Yeah, I know. I just woke up early because of the sunlight."Jimin said.
He went into the kitchen and opened the fridge, scanning the shelves.
"Only bread and eggs," he said, clearly audible to Jin as he leaned over the dining table.
"Let's make omelets and then go shopping," Jin offered, sighing tiredly.
“Alright,” Jimin agreed. He cracked ten eggs carefully into a bowl, beating them with the mixer, then set out bread slices and prepared a frying pan on the stove.
“Looks like I’ll be making ten omelets,” he sighed, melting cheese on the bread and pouring the egg mixture onto the pan, watching it turn golden brown. The smell of the eggs filled the air.
“Ah, Jimin’s cooking!” Jin exclaimed, leaning against the wall, still half-asleep but watching with admiration.
Jimin smirked. “Guess that means I get extra eggs, right?”
“Oh, don’t be so sure of that. I have a feeling you won’t get as many as you think,” Jin laughed, grabbing a glass of water.
Jimin raised an eyebrow. “And what’s that supposed to mean?”
With a mischievous grin, Jin replied, “Just wait—our bunny is bound to steal some before you can even blink.”
As if on cue, Jungkook appeared, grinning and eyeing the frying pan. “Hand over those omelets, Jimin, or prepare to be defeated!”
Jimin tried to stop him, but Jungkook quickly snatched two bread slices and a freshly cooked omelet. “Hey! Let it cook a little longer!” Jimin protested, lightly smacking his hand away.
“Like I’d wait! I know you too well, Jimin-shii,” Jungkook teased, grabbing two more omelets and biting into his bread with a mischievous smile.
“Ugh, you’re so annoying, Jungkook!” Jimin complained, while Jin burst into laughter, clutching his stomach.
With a playful glint in his eye, Jungkook devoured the last of his bread, watching Jimin claim the remaining omelet. Spatula in hand, Jimin gave chase, and Jungkook bolted toward the dining hall, escaping into the garden outside.
Panting, Jimin paused, but before he could return to the kitchen, he saw the familiar black car pull up in front of the celebrity’s house across the street. A small group of young girls filed out and made their way inside.
“Missed her again,” Jimin muttered to himself, letting out a sigh.
“Missed who, Jimin?” Jin asked, smirking as he took a bite of his omelet.
“You!” Jimin sighed, rolling his eyes as Jin ran back to his room. Meanwhile, the rest of the group arrived to enjoy breakfast together. Without further delay, Jimin hurried back to the kitchen, grabbing his own slices and omelets before heading to the garden, finally able to enjoy his meal in peace.
