『𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙚𝙣』 - Party Chaos

It was Saturday, the next morning and Katie was beyond tired from yesterday's events. Getting home a bit later than usual, since Mia forgot to pick her up at the LaRusso's. She lets out a yawn, trying to focus on the SAT's practice test that is placed right in front of her.

The curly headed wished she was in her bed, sleeping through the morning since it was the weekend. However she had to be at school, doing what she needed to do, in order to get into the schools she'd dreamed of getting into.

" Everyone, pencils down, I'm dismissing y'all early. Have a good summer!" Their teacher announced, standing up from her seat.

Screeches of chairs slide against the floor, as everyone gathers their stuff and heads out of the classroom. Katie grabs her backpack and gets up from her seat. "So, how do you think you did on the test?" Sam asked, making her way to Katie.

" Okay I guess, I can't wait to get over the actual test though" She tells the brunette as they both walk out of the room. Not hearing anything back from her friend, Katie looks at her.

" Sam are you okay?" Katie questions, noticing the girl was quieter than usual.

"I'm fine," She sighs as they pass by the lockers, leading up to where Demetri and Miguel's test was held.

Standing by the door, Katie frowned seeing how nervous Sam was and wanted to ask her what was wrong. Before she could the bell had rang, the door opens with the two boys they've been waiting on, walking out.

" Hey" Sam greets her boyfriend, stopping him from walking the opposite way, by pulling on the sleeve of his sweater.

"Hey" Miguel leans forward to give her a short kiss.

" Hi Miguel" Katie waves to her friend, while heading towards Demetri, who is standing there. The Daiz boy sent her a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

" We'll meet you" Demetri told the couple as he started to walk away.

" Yeah ok" Miguel told him with a nod, before facing his girlfriend.

Glancing back one more time, as she walks further away. Katie worried about the couple, observing the weird tension between them. " Is he okay? He doesn't seem like himself" She asked Demetri, who shrugged it off.

"Miguel was like that this morning, I don't know, maybe the stress of the test got to him," Demetri explained, both of them heading out the school doors and into the parking lot.

" So was Sam, not with the test though. I hope everything is going fine with them"  Katie mumbles out in concern.

After leaving school, Katie went with her friends to the park, to hang out and eat a late lunch. While finding out why Miguel wasn't his usual self, Katie kept reassuring her friend. That everything was fine and that he was overthinking the whole situation.

" Come on, eat something. I'll make you feel better" Demetri persuades Miguel to eat his sandwich, that is in his hands, untouched.

" I told you I'm not hungry, man." The Diaz boy brushed off, still in a bad mood.

Looking up from her own sandwich, Katie frowns at Miguel who is staring at the ground in a gloomy state. "Miguel, I trust that she'd never do that to you, Sam likes you alot" She explains, only for him to shake his head.

" I still think you're overreacting" Demetri opposed, having Miguel give him a look. " I'm not overreacting dude. I know what I saw"

" Us having dinner, just dinner with Sam's family" Katie imputed, trying to put some sense into the situation.

Miguel lets out an angered sigh and drops his sandwich into his lap, growing more irritated by the second. " Not just her family Katie, some guy was eating dinner with you guys. You were there"

" I know I was sitting directly across from him," Katie said with a huff and continued to eat her sandwich.

" All right, so you saw her eating dinner with some chode'' Hawk yells out before ending the sparring, by doing a spinning kick onto Bert's face. The younger boy falls to the ground with a yelp.

"It's probably her brother or something." He finishes his sentence as he walks over to the bench where they're sitting.

" No dude. Brothers don't look at their sisters like that" Miguel points out, turning to face him.

" Depends what part of the country you're in" Demetri states, making Katie snap her fingers towards him.

"Kinda like the Royals", This made Demetri nod "Sorta, I mean they married their cousins, So keeping it in the family I guess" He said tiredly.

Katie swallows the last bit of her sandwich, " Besides the point," She clears her throat and directs her attention at Miguel. " I'm friends with Robby, and I know the kind of person he is. He doesn't seem to be like that, I promise you." Giving a glance at the girl, he looks back to the ground again. Her words repeated in his head.

" Robby? That's his name?" Hawk questions Katie, baffled at the name.

"I prefer calling him Dora, or asshat, either one" Mia inputs, hearing the last bit of their conversation. Walking their way to them from her car, with drinks in hand.

" Look. I just don't want what happened to Sensei to happen to me" Miguel tells them worriedly, his eyes darting at Katie and Demetri. Followed by the both of them nodding their head.

" All right so go over to this kid and beat his ass so he doesn't have the chance" Hawk advises, making his best friend give him a look of disbelief.

" That's actually not a bad idea" Mia shrugged, Hawk gives her a smirk as she passess out drinks to Aisha and Katie.

" Don't listen to Eli '' Demetri rolls his eyes, slouching back on the bench. Hawk gives him a pointed look. "It's 'Hawk' ' He clarifies, only in return to receive a careless response back. "Yeah, whatever"

"The fact is," Demetri sits up again, "Sam's given you no reason not to trust her, and what Katie said. Sam likes you alot, regardless if she has a male friend around" He added.

Mia hums along with what he said while finishing her energy drink. " Miguel, as much as I dislike asshat, my sister is right. I know Dora here doesn't like your girlfriend, he likes someone else." She states, glancing at her sister.

Miguel thinks for a second before sighing out. " Yeah I guess you're right"

" And how do you know that Mia?" Katie asked, standing up from where she sat and walks around to stand with Hawk, who's behind Demetri. " I'm not stupid bug, I know when a guy likes someone" Mia says knowingly.

" Oh! That little bitch." Aisha calls out, looking down on her phone with a scowl.

" What?" Miguel questions her with a frown. While Mia walks to stand next to her, " Who's a little bitch?"

" You know that video I posted of me breaking that board?" Aisha queries, ready to show them what she saw on her phone.

String of yeah's and yes's were heard in the air and Aisha leaned closer to show them her screen. " Look what yasmine commented"

"Impressive can't believe the belt made it around your waist"

" Oh shit" Miguel said, with Mia rolling her eyes. Katie groans out irritated, " That girl is on a roll, she never gets tired does she?" She looks at her sister displeased.

" Apparently not" Mia fakely chuckles and takes Aisha's phone, scrolling through it.

" I gotta do something" Aisha states, her angry stare burning holes onto her phone, that Mia is holding.

"How about we kidnap her and have my boy Rico tattoo 'bitch' on her face" Hawk says with a side grin, pleased with his idea.

" Really Eli?"

" Calm down 'Hawk' "

Demetri and Katie speak at the same time. The Wilson girl crosses her arms, as the other squints his eyes at him, the sun blaring behind Hawk. " All right, I hear how you're saying it and I don't like it" Hawk speaks out annoyed at Demetri before looking Katie, " For the last time it's ' Hawk' "

The Wilson girl lets out a small giggle, " Right and I'm a cat" She told him, nudging the back of her hand on his arm.

" Guys shut up and look at this" Mia speaks out and hands the phone over to Aisha, who smirks and shows them the post. " I've got a better idea. Look"

Katie hands hover above her eyes, getting a good look at the screen. " Yasmine's throwing a birthday party at the Canyon later?" Miguel reads out.

" Not if we strike first," Aisha suggests, excited at the thought. " Let's get that bitch" Mia agrees, smirking as she picks up her bag.

" Hell yeah" Hawk says, the three of them sharing glances at each other. While that was happening, Katie saw Demetri not remotely interested in the plan, but for her. For the first time, Katie happily agreed to get back at the popular girl, with a smile on her face.

Leaving the park and taking a ride in her older sister's car. Aisha takes on the idea of gathering supplies to crash at Yasmine's party. Taking a different route and ending up parking in the strip mall, next to the Cobra Kai dojo.

Getting out of the car and heading inside the small convenience store , Katie starts to grab random snacks as the others also do the same. " All right guys, be sure to stock up good" Aisha reminds them, while holding a bunch of pringles in her arms.

Stopping her movements, Katie thinks for a second before looking at the girl beside her. " Is there a certain budget we should be aware of?"

" Uh...."  Aisha pauses what she's doing and stares at Katie, totally blindsided by the thought. " It's fine just grab and go" She says and grabs more before handing some to Bert.

" I'm inviting everyone, VIP only my ass." Aisha expresses, turning back to grab more snacks.

" I still don't understand how we're gonna buy alcohol?" Demetri voices out his concern to her, who only shrugged at his question.

" Oh please. Never underestimate the power.....of the Hawk '' Hawk reassures his bestfriend, confidently walking over to the fridge that held beverages of alcohol.

Taking a few candy bars and some skittles for herself, Katie walks over on the other side of the aisle, next to Demetri. Glancing at him, she chuckles, noticing him having a certain look on his face.

" Why so gloomy?" She asks, turning to face him. Sparing her a look, he lazily picks up a magazine. " I've never been to a party before" He tells her, lowering his voice so no one hears him.

Katie shrugs and grabs a few packs of chips, " Nether have I" She looks at him with a smile.

" Yeah, but they'll be girls there and you already know the rest" He sighs and flips to a random page of the magazine.

"So you might embarrass yourself a couple of times" She stated, only for Demetri to lean back with a displeased attitude. " But it'll get easier and also learning from the mistakes that you make, you'll be dating the girl of your dreams." Katie grins happily, lightly patting his shoulder.

The pale boy looked pleased, slightly nodding at the advice Katie had given him. " Thanks Katie, I'll be taking that advice. I hope it works though" He grumbles the last part. Scanning through the page, before quickly looking up, lowering the book down.

" Wait no offence" Demetri starts, having Katie roll her eyes and walk past him. " Here we go, what is it now?"

" How'd you know what to say? Have you ever experienced talking to the male species?" He trails behind her, leaning against the wall, so they can watch Eli convince the worker that his fake ID is real.

" No, I just have friends back at home who give me insight on dating advice" She explains, struggling to hold the items in her arms. "Also Mia, she always fills me in on everything"

" Oh" Was all Demetri said, as they started to see Hawk make his way towards the register. Placing the case full of cheap beer on the counter.

Hawk starts making light conversation with the man, about sports and girls. Trying to act natural until the man asked for his ID. " Do you really think I'm underage? That's my frickin' kid right there." He points behind him at Bert, who is flipping pages through a magazine.

The man looks at him, not believing a single word from Hawk. " Yeah, I still need to see it. It's required by law"

" Oh yeah, for sure. Just upholding the law. It's all good" Hawk gives in and reaches from his pocket, handing his fake ID to him. Seeing the man take several glances at the card and the teenage boy. Hawk looks to the side a bit nervous, hoping his plan will work.

" Whatever"

Katie smiles happily at the successful plan as Hawk glances back. Giving them an excited look their way, when the cashier isn't looking. "How about eight bottles of that vodka right there" He tries his luck again, feeling confident.

" Yeah" The man said, putting the bottles into the bag, at Hawks request.

  ¸.·✩·.¸¸.·¯⍣✩

When arriving at the canyon. A few people were already there, having brought some of their alcoholic beverages as well. Setting up the cooler holding ice and beer, with a campfire to warm themselves up during the night.

Time passes by and the area is filled with more people, crowding the place. Music blasting in the air as it gets colder, but the warmth of the fire calms Katie's nerves, while standing next to Demetri.

The girl kept an eye on Miguel, as he stood by the cooler. Checking his phone, in hopes of Sam messaging back. Sipping on her soda, Katie excuses herself and walks over to her friend, who signed for the one hundredth time.

" No word from Sam?" Katie asked, standing in front of him. Miguel shakes his head and stuffs his phone in his pockets. " Nope" He looks at her, confused and hurt at the sametime.

" Maybe her phone died," Aisha guessed, walking up to them with a red cup in hand. " Whatever. Let's get the party started without her" Miguel reaches down and opens container, grabbing a beer.

Miguel hesitates before taking a long sip of it. His eyes squinted at the bitter taste and gags, pulling the drink away from him. Aisha laughs while Katie chuckles and takes another sip of her coke. Watching her friend drown himself in the bottle once again.

A couple of hours later and night time has fallen. The frigid weather had made Katie tug the orange blanket around her shoulders, in an attempt to keep her warm. Sitting down on a log, Katie takes a glance at Demetri who is trying to make conversation with his crush, Yasmine.

Slightly giggling at her friend's comments that she heard, Katie turns to look around, hearing her nickname being called. " Hey bug! Come here!" Mia waves her over.

Smiling, she gets up and starts walking to where her sister is. Halfway there, a person bumps into Katie, causing her to lose balance. " Move it" Yasmine snaps, rushing towards Aisha and Mia.

"Hey!" Yasmine calls out, directing her stare at Aisha.

Katie slowly made her way over to Mia, who glared at the blonde in front of them. " Is there a problem here bitch? Maybe you didn't learn your lesson last time"

" Yes there is a problem" She spats at Mia before turning her eyesight to Aisha. " You think it's funny crashing my party?"

" It's not really your party, ' cause we were here first'" Aisha quoted, having the confidence to stand up to the popular girl.

" Yeah. Well, I know you and your little karate gang think you're cool, but we all remember who you really are. You're just a fugly bitch, and your friends are all freaks" Yasmine accused, glancing at Hawk who stood with Moon. Then sparing a look at Katie while avoiding eye contact with Mia.

" Come on, Moon. Let's go" Yasmine called out to Moon, who stayed by Hawk's side.

" No, I'm staying." Moon protested, " I apologized to Aisha for what we did and you should too."

Yasmine looked at her bestfriend shocked at what she said and gave Aisha one last glance. " Whatever. You deserve them moon" Walking away, Yasmine made sure to harshly bump into Aisha's shoulder.

" That's it" Mia called out, crushing the cup in her hand, throwing it to the ground.

Before Katie could stop her sister, potentially getting herself into a fight, Aisha beat her to it. " Mia I got it" She stops her, giving a knowing look to the older, who understood where Aisha's coming from. Katie looks at the pair confused as her friend turns back around.

" Hey, Yasmine!" She yells out, having the bully briskly turn to face her. " Huh? What?" Yasmine walked right up to the girl, trying to intimidate her.

" Let me help you to your car. '' Aisha reached in, grabbing the liner of Yasmines underwear and yanked it up, giving her a front wedgie.

Katie gasped, seeing Yasmine screaming her lungs out, only reaching the ground with the points of her shoes. " No mercy. Bitch!" Aisha lets go of Yasmine, making her fall to the ground. Mia laughed along with others, while Katie stood there in shock. Her eyes, seeing the popular blonde running away from them, hunched over.

" Good job Aish" Mia pats her back with a proud smile.

When everything gets back to the way it was before. Katie's eyes widen in surprise, seeing Sam walking down the slope of the hill, with her hand connected to Robby's. Taking her eyes off them, she walks past her sister and Aisha, in an attempt to find Miguel and tell him that his girlfriend is here.

" Well would you look at that, Miggy is going to be pretty pissed, seeing his worst fear coming true" Mia spoke up from behind Katie, who anxiously looked for the boy.

" I swear he was right there" She pointed at the cooler that is next to the fire. Mia shook her head and directed the younger by the shoulders, to her friend walking angrily to his girlfriend.

" Come on Mia" Katie panicked out, jogging towards them with a relaxed Mia trailing behind her. Not wanting Miguel to get to them first, knowing the current state he is in right now. She wanted to warn the both of them, before it was too late.

Sam was the first one to notice the sisters, partially Katie seeing her in a nervous manner, standing in front of them. " Hey Katie!" She greeted, with a cheery smile. Robby's once grin turned into a concerned one, noticing Katie nervously playing with her hands, looking slightly over the edge.

" Hey, I'm glad you came, Miguel has been worried about you" Katie informed the girl, while sharing a brief smile at Robby as her way of greeting him.

Sam sighed out " Yeah about that, my phone had gotten taken away and- Oh hey" Stopping mid sentence, her previous smile came back to her lips. Her eyes looking over, noticing the boy of the conversation standing behind Katie.

Shit. The Wilson girl froze in her spot, turning around seeing a not so happy Miguel towering over them. A passive smile of his own eyeing the boy, who he was not happy to see, standing next to his girlfriend.

" Hey. Who's this guy?" He questioned.

Letting out a sigh, Katie moves to stand out of the way, seeing the confrontation unfolded in front of her. Struggling to form an explanation, Robby cuts in. "Wait, this-" He looks back at Sam in disbelief, " This is your boyfriend?"

" Yeah. Miguel, relax" Sam told Miguel as his smile withered at the comment Robby had made. His eyes glowing in anger, keeping his stare down at the guy.

"This is Robby. He works for my dad" Sam finished, nearing herself to him, alarmed with his hard stare at Robby.

" Oh, with your dad. Ok, that makes a lot of sense" He scoffed, nodding his head. " What is that supposed to mean?" Sam declared, confused as to why he was acting this way.

" Wait, have you been drinking?" She pressed further.

" No, no. You don't get to turn this all on me. I texted and called you all day, and you couldn't answer me back once?" Miguel argued, having Sam shake her head, " No, I literally couldn't. My mom took my phone" She defended.

" Oh that's so convenient!" He mocked, having already made up his mind, seeing what was in front of him.

" Miguel please, just let her explain" Katie voices out, it was small, but heard. All attention was put on her as she looked at Miguel, pleading him with a look. She wanted her friend to listen to Sam's explanation. Katie didn't want some silly misunderstanding to ruin any friendships she had made.

The Diaz boy rolled his eyes, giving her a cold look. "And you said there was nothing going on between them, was all that a lie? So you can shut me up?" He snapped, the look of betrayal flashing on his face.

" Hey man, watch how you talk to her" Robby intervened, his eyes glaring at him.

" You get out of here!" Miguel yelled out as he harshly shoved Robby to the ground. Katie gasped, stepping back.

" Miguel stop it!" Sam yelled back, right when Robby got up from the ground, anger radiating off him. " Hey, man, you wanna try that again?"

" Try it again huh?" Miguel taunted, winding his fist back to punch Robby, but Sam gets in the way and gets hit instead, by side of her face.

The LaRusso girl falls to the ground with a grunt leaving her lips. With Miguel quickly kneeling to help her up. " Sam, look, I'm sorry"

" God, you asshole!" Sam cries out, while pushing him away. " What the hell was that?" She questions, standing on her feet again, feeling heartbroken at the underlying truth. " My dad was right about Cobra Kai. Good luck at the tournament. I won't be there"

Katie watched sadly as Sam ran to where she originated from, leaving behind the mess of a misunderstanding. To her surprise Robby was still there, standing a few feet away from her. Glaring at Miguel with hatred in his eyes, but once they landed on Katie, they softened up. " Katie, come on" He whispered out, reaching his hand out for her take.

Her blues eyes glanced at Miguel, who looked rather out of it and stood there in a daze. She sighed out and looked back at Robby. Katie couldn't leave Miguel here, not when he's drunk and had now broken up with Sam.

" I need to stay here with him," She told him, gesturing towards Miguel.

Robby shook his head, he didn't trust Miguel and seeing how Katie was treated by him, only made him worry more, " But Katie-" He began to protest, but his eyes caught Mia not far behind them. Gathering a few water bottles from the cooler, which calmed his nerves a bit.

" Robby I'll be fine, Mia and I need to take Miguel home. You should get going, Sam's waiting for you" Katie whispered the last part, eyeing Miguel who took the water Mia had given him.

" Are you sure?" Robby asked, studying Katie as she nodded reassuring him.

" Text me when you get home" He says, looking at her once more before running in the direction Sam had went.

¸.·✩·.¸¸.·¯⍣✩

" Normally this would be my type of party, but this was pathetic and not complicated at all," Mia expressed in exaggeration , walking through the front door of their home. " This is all Dora's fault"

Coming home from dropping off a sober looking Miguel. The Wilson sisters drove home in silence that night. Both not knowing what to say after the events of the party. It took Katie a minute to think of ways to fix this messy situation, she didn't want to lose any friends because of this misunderstanding.

Katie shook her head, sighing as she closed the door shut behind her. " It's not Robby's fault Mia. If Miguel would've just listened to Sam, there could've been a different outcome" She tried explaining, following after Mia.

" I need a shower, I smell like campfire. Bug can you grab a towel for me please" Mia switches the conversation, taking off her leather jacket and placing it on one of the kitchen chairs.

Upon opening her mouth, to speak, Mia was already running her way up stairs to the shared bathroom. Pressing her lips into a thin line, Katie walks in the opposite direction to the laundry room. Grabbing a clean towel from the top shelf, she quickly made her way up the stairs.

Entering her room, that's diagonal in the hall from the bathroom. Katie lands on her back on the bed, closing her eyes from the eventful day. All she wanted to do now was sleep and relax for the rest of the summer, straying away from any drama involving from tonight. Her body feeling exhausted and eyes drooping, she closes her eyes shut. Letting sleep take over.

The doorbell down stairs had rung throughout the house, having Katie sprung up from where she layed. Confused on who would be at their house at this hour. She hastily gets up, and walks out of her room, passing by the occupied bathroom with loud music blasting from it.

Making her way down the wooden stairs and reaching closer to the front door. Her brows furrowed, taking a peak behind the curtains of the widows showing the porch. Eyes widening at who she sees, Katie quickly unlocks the door, opening it to find Robby nervously standing there.

" Robby?" Katie said, opening the door wider.

" Hey" He smiled, but it wasn't the usual one he always wore. Instead it looked sad and worried.

" What's going on?" She asks him, standing by the door of her home. Robby scratches the back of his neck, feeling a bit silly for coming here.

" I, uh" Robby stammered, trying to figure out what to say. Katie then realized how rude of her for keeping him outside, instead of welcoming him in. " Wait sorry, you should be inside" She moved, allowing him to walk through.

" Right" He nodded, to which he scolded himself internally for being so awkward around her. When she did something so simple as letting him into the house.

Katie closes the door and locks it before turning to Robby, seeing him standing there nervously looking around. " You okay?" She asks him, giving him a glance before walking ahead of him.

He follows her as he looks around the house, taking in the decent sized living room. Seeing cozy blankets draped on to the couch. Picture frames lined up on the mantel shelf below the TV. An open layout of the kitchen stood, cream colored walls, granite countertops, and a few plants sprouted around in some areas.

Robby took a glimpse of the sunroom behind the kitchen, where you could see the mid size backyard. It was all he could taken in before, he his eyes went onto Katie, walking up to him with two soda cans in hand.

" Robby" She called out to him, " I asked if you were okay earlier. You seemed out of it" She said, concerned as he looked at the ground.

" I'm sorry, there's a lot on my mind right now" He confessed with a sigh.

Katie nodded, glancing at one of the drinks in her hands. " Is that why you came here? Maybe talk about it?"

" Yeah, if that's okay"  He watched as her face brightened up. " It's more than okay, Robby really" Katie asurres him, seeing a smile crept on him, replacing the once frown. The Keene boy felt relieved and grateful, to have someone be in his corner.

Smiling, Katie held out the two sodas in her hands. "Pick one"

Robby's eyes darted between the two, until he reached to take the coke, with Katie holding it slightly back. " I know it defeats the purpose, but I was really hoping you'd pick sprite since coke is my favorite" The Wilson girl said sheepishly, embarrassed to admit it.

This made Robby chuckle, his smile widening more, "No it's okay" He takes the sprite and opens his can of soda, taking a small sip of it.

Taking a sip of her own, Katie waves him over to upstairs. Heading up, loud music was still being played in the bathroom making Katie roll her eyes. " Don't mind that, she usually has that on full blast" She turns to look back at him as he shakes his head. " It's cool"

" Sorry it's a bit of a mess" Katie winced upon walking into her room, picking up random clothes off the floor and dumping it into the laundry basket by her bed.

He looks around, noticing posters decorating her walls. Which are painted a light gray color, with strings of star lights hanging against it. A cat poster above her desk with a few lamps lighting up the corners of the room. What made Robby feel warm inside was the colors of lights scattering around the room. His gift was placed on the dresser along with other objects.

" Robby?"

He looks at Katie who was halfway out of her window, calling him over. Once they both made it onto the roof, they sat down in comfortable silence. Katie eyes looked at the stars shining down above them.

She could never get tired of the view and would come up here when life was getting the best of her. This was her form of meditation, her form of drawing. Becoming lost in the sight of the stars that helped the girl forget her troubles for a couple of hours.

Sitting up here, made her figure out the problems she needed to fix or to calm her anxiety when it had gotten worse. When she was in trouble, the stars were there to help her out.

" Aren't they beautiful?" Katie breaks the silence as she looks at Robby.

He looked back at her, confused at the question, "What?"

She nudged her head upwards, to the dark sky that held wonder. " The stars, aren't they beautiful?" She elaborated, looking back at it with a smile on her face.

Robby took a glance at the sky before pulling his focus onto her. His heart rate picks up as he watches her admire the stars. Taking in every detail on her face, from her eyes to her pink cheeks, that matched the color of her lips.

Her blue eyes reflected the night sky, with the tiny little stars shining through. " Yeah...they are" He whispered, still keeping his eyes on her. Even though he should be looking at the sky, like she is. He couldn't, because while the stars were beautiful to her. She was beautiful to him.

" My brother and I used to watch the stars growing up when we couldn't sleep" She told him, lowering her eyes to fidget with her bracelet.

Robby looked at her surprised, " What's your brother's name?" He asked, watching her let out an unsteady breath. " Jason" She trailed off, looking at him. He nodded, " Where is he now?"

Katie stops playing with her bracelet, giving the boy in front of her a sad smile. "He passed away four years ago" She told him, as his face saddened at her words.

" I'm sorry" He whispered out, watching as she shook head. " It was an accident, there was nothing he could've done" She told him, looking at the sky once again.

It was the first time Katie had told someone, other than her therapist. She felt that it was fair to tell him the surface of her troubles. Since he told her about the situation with his dad. Robby felt trustworthy, and knew that she could tell him anything. This wasn't the only thing she did, because having him up on the roof with her. Was something Katie had never done before, not even with her friends.

" What happened Robby?" She asked, turning to face him.

He sighed, and raked his hands through his hair. " Mr. LaRusso found out that I'm Johnny's son" Robby confessed, Katie looked at him surprised.

" Really? What did he say?" She questioned him, concerned.

" After the party, I stayed at Sam's house to wait for Mr. LaRusso and when he got there. My dad was with him, everything got out of hand and he kicked me out. Not even wanting to hear anything that I had to say" He paused, thinking, " I wanted to tell him Katie, but he got so angry"

Placing a hand in his arm, their eyes met with Katie giving him a comforting smile. " None of this is your fault Robby, Mr. LaRusso will come around"

" I just don't want him to think I'm like my father" He explained, Katie again shook her head. " And you're not, Robby, you're a smart and kind person. Yes you might have some part of him in you, but that doesn't defined who you are as a person today. It's not all bad, there's some good in him too"

Robby looked at her, seeing her eyes hold softens in them. He smiled, feeling not so alone anymore. Having her here, by his side was all that mattered to him. " I'm entering the All Valley Tournament tomorrow" He implied.

Katie smiled at his words, " And I'll be there cheering you on," She held up her pinky, making Robby chuckle.

" I promise." She said as they linked their fingers together.
