LET ME OUT YOU BITCH!
also known as : chapter four - the sauna test
Silver watched as Mike's plan folded succesfully. Eleven threw Billy inside the sauna with her mind, and then locked the door with chains. Billy looked through the small glass window, an enraged look on his face as he looked at the group. Silver didn't dare to think what he'd do if he managed to get out against their will. Billy was shirtless, but Silver didn't expect any less. Mike turned up the heat as Billy pounded against the door.
He turned to look at Max, knowing either her or Silver were the weakest link as they knew him best. "Max! Get me out of here!" he shouted, his voice echoing around the room. When he saw nobody moved to let him out, he started chuckling, a sort of mad look in his eyes. It felt it was Billy, but...he was losing himself. A darker side was taking over.
"You kids, you think this is funny? You little shits think this is funny?" he spat on the door, making Silver wince in disgust at the white slime sliding off the small glass panel. His eyes turned to her, staring intensely. She returned the gaze, not daring to look away and give him the impression they were scared. "You sick of bitching to Harrington so now you're bitching to me?"
Silver took an angry step towards him, ready to snap. Eleven stopped her, shaking her head at the girl. Billy yelled, pounding at the door before he gave up, throwing himself back. Only when he was out of sight did Will approach to check the temperature. "We're at 220."
Sobs were heard with faint muttering. Max looked at Silver who nodded at her. The redhead approached, watching Billy sob, beads of sweat rolling off his body. "It's not my fault Max, I promise you...it's not my fault!" his voice cracked, and Silver looked at Mike, unsure if they were getting what they wanted. "Are you sure...?"
"I've done things, Max. Really....bad things." he paused, his face scrunched up in fear as he looked around. "He made me do it." he whispered, making Max bit her bottom lip. "Who?" Billy shrugged, finding it hard to explain. "I don't know, like a shadow." Eleven and Silver looked at each other, confirming their thoughts.
The Mind Flayer was back.
Silver rubbed her hands, pacing around as she tried of a solution. "Okay, when it possessed Will, we turned up the heat to get rid of it, right?" Will nodded, knowing where Silver was going with her idea. "Okay, so maybe if we turn up the heat of the sauna, it'll do the same? It's-" Billy shouted, interrupting Silver as he sobbed, begging Max. Silver noticed the redhead had started crying, approaching her as she hugged her. Max pressed her hand on the glass, tears wetting her cheeks.
"Hey Max, we'll do everything we can to help him, okay?" the redhead nodded at Silver numbly, her eyes not leaving Billy. Silver noticed Billy reaching for some stone, grabbing Max and pushing her out of the way as Billy burst the glass. Silver felt a sharp pain on her eyebrow, the metallic smell of blood reaching her nose as she ducked out of the way. "Let me out you bitch!"
The lights started flickering, making Silver feel cold in dread and fear. "We need to get out of here. Now-" Silver flinched at the sound of Billy roaring, black veins covering his face and chest. He broke the door down, tumbling out. Silver pushed the kids behind her, coming face to face with Billy, a person she knew. His curls covered his face, stuck to his face in sweat as he panted, his gaze on Eleven.
She pushed by Silver, lifting a weight with her mind and slamming it against Billy, throwing him against the wall. He gasped for air, the weight chocking his neck. Eleven screamed, pushing as hard as she could.
It wasn't strong enough.
Billy pushed the weight off, nearly hitting Eleven who ducked to the floor. He grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up so she wasn't able to touch the floor. She chocked for air, blood dropping down her nose. Before Silver knew what she was doing, she grabbed one of the weights and lunged it at Billy's head before he managed to kill what was like a sister to her. He grabbed the weight before it him, smirking at Silver as he let Eleven fall to the floor.
"Billy, this isn't you, you don't wanna do thi-" his hand thrusted against her head, making her fly across, hitting her head against the floor. She groaned, her eyes swimming with dark dots. She faintly heard Max scream, whether it was because she had been hurt or had seen Silver get hurt, she didn't know. Her head ached with a dull throb, feeling like needles were being prodded inside. She felt the metallic taste of blood in her mouth. She fluttered her eyes open to see Eleven throw Billy against a wall, making it break as he fell through.
A sense of relief drowned her. That moment was over. No one had died.
She wondered if Steve and Dustin's mission was just as dangerous.

The Scoops Troop found themselves walking down the long hall of the Russian's layer. Their pace was quick, as none of them particularly wanted to stay very long and risk being found. Their was no way out, just that hallway which only had one direction. If they were met with any Russians, they'd certainly be in trouble. The hallway was dim lit, making it hard to see. "You have to admit this is quite impressive." Dustin mentioned, waving his hand as he pointed at everything around them.
"This is a fire hazard. There's no stairs, no exit, just an elevator that drops you down to hell." Steve scoffed, which in other words meant if they were caught there was nowhere to hide. "To be fair, I don't think this was designed for walking." Robin argued, siding with Dustin. He looked up, mulling over it all. "You think they built this whole mall to transport the green poison?"
"I doubt it's something as boring as poison. Could be promethium or something." Erica scrunched her nose in disgust, making sounds as if she'd vomit. "God you're all so nerdy it makes me physically ill."
"No, don't associate me with them. I'm not a nerd, all right?" Steve paused, annoyed before adding under his breath "Jess certainly made it clear she knew that." he went all moody once again at the thought of him and Silver not talking. "Why so sensitive, Harrington?" Robin asked amused, not knowing about the fight that went down between the two while she had been gone.
"Here's a clue; who's not here?" Dustin pointed around them, and then to himself. Robin raised her eyebrows, making an understanding noise. "Ahh...so how'd you screw it up with Silver?" Steve scoffed, offended that she had just assumed it was his fault. It kind of was, but still.
"She got accepted into an Illinois University and Steve wasn't happy she hadn't told him she had applied." Erica scoffed, frowning at Steve who blushed embarrassed. "First of all, what kind of nickname is Silver? Second of all, who. do. you. think. you. are. telling her what to do?" Erica poked him angrily at a flabbergasted Steve. He looked at Robin and Steve, but they only nodded in agreement.
He combed his messy hair with his fingers, knowing he messed up. As they continued walking down the hallway, Steve could only kept going in circles around the matter. Yes, part of it was because he was hurt at not being part of her plans. She'd move away, meet new people and completely forget about him and the small town of Hawkins. Of course he'd been proud too, that she had gotten admitted in. So he thought maybe hurrying up the goodbye would make it easier.
