The ways of the storm are dark and bleak, void of any hope and any light.

But not all saw it that way.

Many Jedi, in fact, had a more optimistic view.

Many Jedi saw peace in a time of war.

And saw light in a time of darkness.

That much was true for Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. He was a true optimist. Even in his darkest days, he never let the darkness win. Even in a battle against the Sith Lord Darth Maul, he never gave up. He never gave in. He never lost hope.

But ultimately, it cost him his life, in which he died in the hands of his padawan, where his final words he did mutter. He made Obi-Wan promise to train the boy, and with the very last breath in his lungs, he uttered one last final word.

" Dracarys."

The life left his body not long after, leaving Obi-Wan to mourn, and leaving Obi-Wan with two missions.

He must train the young boy to become a Jedi, that much he knows.

It's the last word that bothers him so.

Dracarys.

The name of a Jedi long lost to the force.

The name of a Jedi who hasn't been seen in decades.

Dromo Dracarys was once a Jedi alongside Qui-Gon.

Dromo Dracarys was a fearsome and powerful Jedi Knight.

He, too, was extremely optimistic about the world and always believed in the greater good.

And that, too, would be the very reason for his death.

On a distant planet in a distant galaxy, Dromo fought a great battle.

A battle against a Sith.

The Sith was angry. Rageful. Full of darkness.

And Dromo fought with all his might. Valiantly and to the death. If he must die at the hand of a Sith in order to save his child, that's exactly what he will do.

He will do anything to protect Raina.

Raina was his only child.

Raina was his little girl.

And he would gladly pay the ultimate price before he let the dark side get its hands on her.

But Dromo was smart. He had a plan. In the event of an attack on his home.

He had a droid and he had a ship, and at any point, the droid was ready to fly Raina far, far away.

And then the time came.

The droid ushered Raina onto the ship, ignoring her pleas, and begs and cries for her father.

And as the doors to the ship began to close, Raina was left with the image of her father being impaled through the heart with a red lightsaber.

And she screamed.

At the top of her lungs and with all her might.

With her scream came the force, knocking the Sith away from her father's corpse.

But she was too late.

Her father was already dead.

The droid flew her far, far away from the planet. Managing to stay off any known radars until a safe haven is found, for they cannot stay within the depths of space forever.

But Raina... Raina was heartbroken. She is a fatherless child... and she watched him die. She saw was the dark side was capable of... and on that day Raina vowed one thing.

That she would never join the dark side.
