"And that's how the familia Madrigal got our miracle."
Mirabel said proudly as she led the way back to casita with their new friend in tow like a lost puppy.
"Really?"
Stasia said. Mirabel nodded.
"That was a lovely story,"
Stasia replied.
"Story?"
Mirabel questioned.
"Yes I really like how you made it so inspiring."
Stasia added.
"You think it's all a story?"
Mirabel asked with a scoff.
"Well of course."
Stasia replied and both Mirabel and Bruno, who had been awfully quiet since his heroic deed of saving Stasia's life was spent, turned to look at her.
"What?"
Stasia asked as she looked back at their gaze.
"Miracles don't don't exist."
Stasia said in a matter-of-fact tone. Her accent contrasted greatly against the one of the Madrigals and it made her voice seem as if the life she had known before coming to the Encanto was bleak and tiring.
"If Miracles did exist I wouldn't be here."
She said.
"I would be home. With my family."
the way she spoke of her family so distant led them to believe something had happened to them and they were no longer around.
"Well if you don't believe in miracles you have come to the right place to change your mind."
Mirabel said as they approached the casita. Stasia's grey eyes widened as she took in the sight of the large colorful house.
"I can't wait for you to meet mi familia you're going to love them!"
Mirabel cheered as she began to lead the way inside. But Bruno stopped her for a moment.
"Mirabel,"
He addressed his niece to the side so Stasia wouldn't listen in.
"Do not forget today is still Dolores' special day."
he told her,
"Try not to take the attention away from her."
"I won't I won't."
Mirabel assured her uncle.
"She can stay with the other black-sheeps of the family that the others urge to stay out of the way to 'help' with the preparations."
Bruno sighed.
"I suppose so."

"Bienvanidos a la casa Madrigal, Stasia!"
Mirabel said as she escorted them inside the casita. Stasia's eyes looked around, taking in the sight of the large house. Scuttling around, preparing for a special event, Stasia could see members of the family doing impossible deeds. There was a girl growing flowers and other floral arrangements out of thin air. Another girl lifted furniture like it was nothing. There was a child who seemed to be having a complete conversation with a group of birds and another boy who morphed into different people at will to help with decorations.
"This is not possible."
Stasia said as she looked around.
"Told ya."
Mirabel said with a proud grin as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"See that up there,"
She said as she pointed to a brightly burning candle in a window that overlooked the courtyard where all the people quickly decorated.
"That's the miracle."
"Mirabel!"
the shout of someone interrupted Mirabel's proven facts about the miracle of the Madrigals. Mirabel turned to see two women approaching them and she smiled.
"This is Julieta, my mom, and Abuela Alma."
Julieta smiled at the guest but Abuela looked on with skeptical eyes.
"This is Stasia."
Mirabel introduced.
"She does not look like anyone in the Encanto."
"She's not from here."
Mirabel said.
"Where did you say you were from?"
Mirabel asked Stasia.
"Russia."
"Hm."
Abuela noted before walking off to help with decorations.
"She looks awfully skinny."
Julieta noted.
"Would you like something to eat?"
She asked Stasia.
"She's fine mom."
Mirabel replied.
"She had that arepa I took from you earlier."
Mirabel told her mother.
"She was dying but tío Bruno and I saved her!"
Julieta looked over to Bruno who seemed to shyly stand behind Mirabel.
"I see."
Julieta said with a growing smile.
"Why don't you help me with the arepas."
Julieta asked Mirabel.
"And Bruno can show Señora Stasia around."
"Alright."
Mirabel agreed.
