"She told me not to have any more visions about her."
Bruno said with a sigh as a group of his treasured rats watched him pace back and forth in his cave.
"But her saying that only makes me want to look again."
He said with a sigh. He turned to the rats.
"I'm not crazy am I?"
He asked and they all stared back at him with small wondering eyes.
"I am talking to a group of rats like they can understand me."
He said under his breath.
"Okay maybe I am crazy."
He mumbled.
"But it wouldn't hurt. I am only trying to help anyway."
He pressed his lips together as he mulled over the idea.
"Fine I will do it. Just a small one."
He finally decided as he began to prepair for another vision about Stasia and just what was going on with her. Once he was fully prepared he sat down inside his circle of sand and focused on Stasia. His eyes began to glow and the sand around him began to swirl into a storm. He saw Stasia looking out the window of Mirabel's room. This had to be somewhat close to the present because the moon was out and she was wearing the same clothes she had been wearing earlier. But he noticed something outside the window. There was a man in clothing Bruno had never seen before and even worse he carried a gun. The vision shifted and he could now see a letter with handwriting that was painfully familiar. The handwriting of his own mother letting someone know of Stasia's presence. Then finally he saw Stasia one last time and she was being held at gunpoint by the man who was hiding outside. In an instant the sand fell and Bruno stood. Stasia was in danger again and it was up to him to save her. He started down the stairs until he heard someone calling him again but it wasn't Stasia. It was Mirabel followed by Dolores.
"Tio Bruno!"
Mirabel shouted.
"Stasia is gone!"

"I heard Abuela talking to Julieta."
Dolores confessed once Bruno reached them.
"She said that she was in fear of Stasia and thought she was hear to steal the miracle for herself so she sent a letter to the government of Stasia's homeland in concern for the family."
"What?!"
Bruno said in disbelief.
"Why would she do that?"
He asked.
"Well I may have told her what I heard Stasia saying about how if anyone deserved a miracle she did."
Dolores confessed.
"Dolores!"
Mirabel scolded.
"What?! You try hearing everyone's secrets all the time and not letting any of them slip. It isn't easy."
She defended herself.
"That doesn't matter right now, we have to get to Stasia."
Bruno said, leading the way out of the room.
"Stasia is in danger."
"Again?"
Mirabel asked.
"Sí again."
Bruno replied.
"And if we don't do something she will die again."
Bruno snapped.
"And just where do you think you three are going?"
They were instantly cut off by a very unhappy Abuela Alma who stood between them and the stairs.
"Stasia is in trouble!"
Mirabel piped up.
"We have to help her!"
She added.
"Mirabel!"
Dolores snapped.
"What?"
Mirabel defended herself.
"She asked."
She added.
"You are not going anywhere."
Abuela replied.
"And as to the danger that has befallen Señora Stasia, it is not our concern."
"What?"
Bruno snapped.
"We will let History take it's course."

"Let history take it's course? Abuela what are you talking about?"
Mirabel asked.
"That woman wanted nothing good for this familia."
Abuela replied harshly.
"She wanted to steal our miracle for herself."
"She did not want to steal our miracle."
Bruno replied, standing up for Stasia.
"Stasia wanted to be helped."
He told her.
"She wanted to be free of the pain of her past."
He added.
"You accepted me after years of hate what's the difference with her?"
"She is an outsider."
Abuela snapped.
"She doesn't belong here."
She added.
"But Abuela you are always saying we should use the miracle gifted to us to help those around us."
"Only those who deserve it."
Abuela replied and the others fell silent.
"Mamma,"
Bruno spoke up.
"Miracles aren't given or shared with those who deserve it."
He said softly.
"They are given to those who have no hope left."
"Stasia never wanted our miracle."
Mirabel spoke up, adding on to what Bruno had said.
"She wanted to be at peace."
Abuela opened her mouth to respond but she didn't get the chance. The loud sound of a gunshot ripped through the air and startled them all.
"No..."
Bruno muttered as he realized what was going on.
"No please no."
