Chapter 27: Dating Rumors

Chapter 27: Dating Rumors

Taehyung woke up with a dull headache, his body feeling oddly heavy and unresponsive. His limbs sprawled out across the bed like a starfish, and it took him a moment to realize that he was completely naked. Panic started to set in as his mind slowly processed the situation.

From across the room, Jungkook’s voice broke through the haze of his thoughts. “You’re awake. How are you feeling?” he asked casually, his tone nonchalant as he rifled through the closet for his clothes.

As soon as Taehyung heard Jungkook's voice, the memories of the previous night came rushing back in vivid detail. His heart began to race, and his breath hitched in his chest. Everything that had happened—his drunken state, the vulnerability he’d shown, the intimacy—came flooding back, leaving him frozen in shock.

With a swift movement, Taehyung attempted to sit up, but instantly regretted it when a sharp pain coursed through his body. He winced, groaning in discomfort.

“T-Tell me I’m dreaming,” Taehyung stammered, his wide eyes locked on Jungkook, his face flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and disbelief.

Jungkook glanced over at him with a playful smirk. “What dream? The one where you're naked in front of me? Or the one where you were moaning my name last night?” he teased, his tone dripping with amusement.

Taehyung’s eyes went wide in horror. “Oh my god!” he gasped, scrambling to cover himself with the bedsheets, his cheeks burning with humiliation.

Jungkook merely chuckled, unfazed, as he continued getting dressed. “This is just a dream, right? I just need to wake up,” Taehyung muttered to himself, pinching his cheeks in a futile attempt to snap out of it. The sharp pain that followed only made him realize it wasn’t a dream at all.

His hands dropped to his face in despair. “I was drunk... Why did I do that?” he whispered, his voice thick with regret.

Jungkook leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Whether you hit yourself or wish it all away, it doesn’t change what happened. You begged for me. You sang my name.” His words were playful, but there was an edge to them that made Taehyung’s heart race even faster.

“Shut up!” Taehyung gritted his teeth, feeling a mix of anger and shame surge within him. “Don’t remind me of how stupid I was.”

Jungkook rolled his eyes, clearly enjoying Taehyung’s discomfort. “Stop acting like you didn’t enjoy it,” he teased, his smirk widening.

“I was drunk!” Taehyung almost shouted, tugging at his hair in frustration. “I didn’t know what I was doing!”

“Whatever,” Jungkook said, dismissing the matter with a casual shrug. “Get ready. We have work to do.”

Taehyung scowled, irritation bubbling up. “How can I get ready when I can’t even stand?” he snapped, his body still aching.

Without another word, Jungkook walked over and effortlessly scooped Taehyung into his arms in a bridal carry. “I’ve got hands to carry you,” Jungkook teased, grinning down at him as he walked toward the bathroom.

“I have hands too,” Taehyung shot back sarcastically.

“To ejaculate me.” Jungkook completed Taehyung's sentence.

“Pervert!” Taehyung then threw the pillow to him.

Jungkook chuckled as he set Taehyung down on the edge of the bathtub. “Just hurry up, okay?” he said, brushing Taehyung’s hair out of his face.

Taehyung grumbled, but nodded, not in the mood for further conversation.

Later, at the office, Jungkook went to his office while Taehyung headed to the copier to make some project copies.

“Mr. Kim, have you heard the rumors?” Amorie asked, standing next to Taehyung as they worked.

“Huh? What rumors?” Taehyung responded, confused.

“You’ve been with Mr. Jeon all this time, haven’t you heard?” Amorie sighed, clearly surprised.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Taehyung said, his frown deepening.

Amorie rolled her eyes. “There’s a rumor that Mr. Jeon is dating someone, and they were spotted together at a club.”

Taehyung’s brow furrowed. “It’s probably fake news,” he muttered, suspecting that the person might be Minwha.

“No, it’s not. There’s a whole website with evidence. Even the news picked it up,” Amorie continued. “Looks like he’s hiding a secret lover. Why hasn’t he said anything?”

“Mr. Jeon doesn’t have time for a relationship. He’s too busy with work. It’s definitely fake,” Taehyung insisted, though a small knot of doubt formed in his chest.

Amorie leaned closer, lowering her voice. “I don’t know. He could shut down that website if he wanted to. Maybe he’s just waiting to reveal it. Who knows? I’m dying to know who the lucky person is!”

“Lucky my ass,” Taehyung muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes.

“Huh? Did you say something?” Amorie asked, not catching his comment.

“Nothing. Are you going to use this? I’m done,” Taehyung said, gathering the papers and leaving her behind.

He made his way to Jungkook’s office, his mind still swirling with the rumors. Without knocking, he barged into the room, his frustration boiling over.

Jungkook had just finished a meeting with two employees. As they bowed and exited, Jungkook turned his attention to Taehyung.

“What’s the matter?” Jungkook asked, looking up from his desk with a raised brow.

“Have you heard the rumors?” Taehyung demanded.

“Yeah, I have. You got a problem with that?” Jungkook replied, nonchalantly leaning back in his chair.

Taehyung's frustration flared. “What? You’re not worried? This could ruin your image! Someone’s stalking you and spreading lies, aren’t you concerned?”

Jungkook simply shrugged. “It’s just dating rumors. And I don’t think the website’s lying.”

Taehyung’s eyes widened in disbelief. “So you’re telling me you’re dating someone while you... while you did that with me? You’re unbelievable!” He slammed his hand against the doorframe, voice trembling with anger.

Jungkook didn’t flinch, only giving a lazy shrug. “It’s whatever. Deal with it.”

“I hate you!” Taehyung snapped, storming out of the office.

Jungkook chuckled to himself, shaking his head. “Sometimes, he’s so dramatic,” he muttered as he turned back to his work.

Taehyung left the office, his heart heavy with confusion and anger. He needed to clear his head, so he headed to his dad’s house instead of the cabin.

When he arrived, his father, Tansuk, immediately noticed something was off.

“Son, are you okay?” Tansuk asked, concerned as Taehyung walked through the door.

“Appa...” Taehyung cried, rushing into his father’s arms.

“What happened? Is this about Jungkook? Did he hurt you? Did he make you cry?” Tansuk asked, his worry deepening.

“He’s such a jerk, Appa! How could he do that to me?” Taehyung sobbed, his face buried in his father’s shoulder.

“Shh, it’s okay. I’ll talk to him,” Tansuk murmured, wiping away his son’s tears. “Don’t cry now, you’ll look like an ugly duck.”

“Appa, he just used me! Like I was nothing! And he’s dating someone!” Taehyung cried harder, the tears flowing freely.

Tansuk, though concerned for his son, couldn’t help but feel a small flicker of happiness. He missed these moments—his son calling him “Appa,” seeking comfort in his arms. He’d been so distant lately.

“I promise, I’ll handle it,” Tansuk said, though he sighed, trying to make sense of what Taehyung had said. “But you need to calm down first. Tell me exactly what happened, and I’ll talk to him. I’ll punch him if I have to.”

Taehyung wiped his eyes, sniffling and sneezing on his father’s shirt before speaking again. Tansuk just sighed in exasperation, knowing that this wasn’t going to be easy.
