A head met a desk with a smack, following a groan soon after.
"I hate him."
Paulie and Smoker rolled their eyes.
"We know." They both replied in unison.
It was lunchtime at Grand Line Academy, with the three of you being the only ones inside the classroom for break surprisingly. A surprise since there's usually student's here eating and talking amongst each other, as well as a surprise since the three of you mostly hang out in the rooftop of the school during lunch. Paulie and Smoker would usually smoke at this time, but you're trying to get them to quit, replacing the cigs with lollipops or toothpicks. Smoker had two toothpicks in his mouth as he stood against the wall with crossed arms, while Paulie had a red lollipop in his sitting atop the desk. You also having a lollipop in your mouth as you sat in the chair of the desk to comfort them that they don't look stupid, as well to keep pushing them to quit.
You put your hands atop your head. "He's just driving me crazy! Why can't he accept that I don't like wearing skirts?! Who cares I'm wearing pants?! But noooooooooo," you lifted your head, moving the lollipop out the way with a scowl. Both young men sweatdropped, already knowing the rant that was coming. "Has to follow all the rules and force everybody to follow them too. From how you're supposed to put your tie, to how loud the cafeteria can be, no restroom passes until an absolute emergency. Whatever that means! And how you're supposed to walk through the halls."
Smoker raised a brow while Paulie looked at you in confusion.
"Walk through the halls?" Smoker asked. You looked at him and then at Paulie, spotting their confusion.
"Yeah. You're supposed to walk with your back completely straight, chest out, only short strides and—he was fucking with me wasn't he?"
Paulie laughed. "Yeah, he was fucking with you. The bastard seems to like doing that."
You held back a scream, slamming the desk with your fist, then quickly got up and began walking towards the door.
"That's it, time for a fight today. He's asking for it." Smoker and Paulie blocked the door before you can open it, them gazing down at you in disapproval.
"You already fought with him earlier this week, remember? You tried to get a drink from the vending machine, only for it to get stuck. You started kicking it and moving the machine around. Lucci came, did one smack to the side of the machine and made the drink come down. He tried giving it to you, but you said that he had 'an arrogant-I'm-better-then-you- and-you're-an-idiot-smirk' on his face, so you punched him and you guys had a fight." Smoker finished, looking down at you, "I'm surprised you didn't get a detention for that one either."
You looked at Smoker with a scowl, raising and moving your arms back and forth. "Nooooo, you messed it up! When he handed my drink to me, he had that smirk and he called me a slow idiot!"
Paulie gazed down at you in understanding. "Ah, then he deserved it then. Don't know how many times the bastard called me an idiot. Drives me fuckin crazy." Paulie tsked, a scowl on his features. You knew Paulie and Lucci were childhood friends, you don't see them talking much now and you never knew what exactly happened on why they don't talk anymore.
Smoker sighed, putting a hand to his face. "Alright, let's make a deal then." You stood in attention, Paulie looking over him with a curious frown around his lollipop.
"If the Head of the Disciplinary Committee says something or insults you in some way, just ignore it." You frowned, about to ask him why until he cut you off."Let me finish. I don't know if you've noticed (Y/N), but it seems he's riling you up on purpose."
"Obviously. I know that Smokey." Smoker slightly blushed, and told you to not call him that while Paulie snickered, then continued.
"No, he's doing it so the both of you can fight. It seems you're his favorite rival."
Paulie blinked and made a noise of agreement while you stood there confused now looking at him. "Smoker is right. Lucci was the type to always like fighting, and it seems he still is. Since you're strong (Y/N) due to being in a gang in middle school, no wonder he always wants to fight with you."
You scowled. "He can fight in a fight club or whatever! Or with Shanks or Mihawk! He's not even supposed to be in this school anymore! He graduated last year, he's just here cause he has a stick up his ass about rules." You continued to mutter obscenities about the nineteen years old man as you looked down with a scowl and clenched fists.
Smoker and Paulie looked at each other knowingly. They both nodded, understanding. They both explained to you that you must try to not get heated up with him and his words. However, if he does the first hit, then you can fight him. This is to test on why exactly he likes riling you up and if you are truly his 'favorite' rival.
You grumbled out your agreement to their deal and sat back down to your seat with Smoker and Paulie still in front of the door. The door slammed open with a cheerful greeter, causing both Smoker and Paulie to yell and fall towards the floor.
But not without desks hitting their groin first.
Paulie choked on his lollipop as Smoker spat out his two toothpicks comically, the both of them on the floor struggling. Your eyes widened and then you started laughing obnoxiously, fists slamming your desk continuously. The cheerful greeter, Shanks with his girlfriend Makino looked over at them.
"Oh, hey guys! Didn't see you there. You guys alright? You guys look like you're choking..."
Makino came over to the choking Paulie and kneeled beside him with Shanks helping Smoker up. "Here let me help you." Makino grabbed the blond man's shoulder, only for him to turn red as his eyes saw bare legs. He coughed out the lollipop which shot towards you, hitting you in the head mid laugh.
Silence.
"Who's laughing now (Y/N)?"
"Shut up."
"G-get off me woman! Control your girlfriend Shanks! And cover her too!"
"Dahahahahaha! Sorry Paulie!"
"Sorry my ass!"
"Oh my...you guys are lively today."
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
You were in the bathroom trying to get the lollipop off your hair. Thankfully your teacher, Garp, allowed you to go to the restroom to try to take it off. Not without laughing at your face with tears coming down his eyes however. It was embarrassing, but you were just about done and can hopefully go back to class without bumping into Lucci or the rest of his Disciplinary Committee. Then again, his Committee isn't as strict as he is when it comes to rules. Jabra and Kaku for example, with the occasional of Kumadori and Fukuro according to how distracted they get as a result of their odd personalities. You saw one time Kumadori stopped a student with incorrect uniform, only to leave them with a haiku and pat on the shoulder. The student, Kuzan, only looked back with a sweatdrop, a shrug, and continued on like normal. Only to be stopped once more by a serious Blueno and Kalifa. The forgetful guy never catches a break.
You fixed yourself up a little more, still seeing some lollipop pieces in your hair, only deciding to leave it cause you already went through too much pain to get it off. You walked out the restroom.
"Pass."
You jumped, shouting in alarm while making an odd pose as you turned your eyes to the figure that was right besides the women's restroom, leaning against the wall.
Lo and behold, Lucci stood while looking at you with his dark eyes.
"ACK! What the hell is wrong with you?! You don't just stand next to the restroom and do that kind of thing—wait." You gave him a suspicious look, narrowing your eyes. "Were you peeping?"
You weren't being serious, and it seems Lucci didn't take you seriously either. Only narrowing his eyes and repeated the same thing as before. You tsked, cursing internally to yourself on how Garp didn't give you a pass cause he was too busy laughing at the lollipop in your hair. Damn old man.
"I don't have one. Garp didn't give it to me cause he was too busy laughing at my face and being an ass about having a lollipop in my hair." Lucci tilted his head and glanced at your (h/c) hair, seeing the leftover pieces of the candy in it. He smirked. And your blood already began to boil even before he opened his mouth.
"Did you miss your mouth? One usually eats food like that. They also don't usually like it in their hair."
You wanted to punch his face in. Just to take that smirk off his face and for him to stop treating you like an idiot. But you remembered what Smoker and Paulie said, so you only growled at him.
"NO! Someone else decided to throw it in my hair with their slobber all over it. Freakin stupid Paulie..." You muttered the last part to yourself and glanced to the side. Unbeknownst to you, Lucci's expression changed.
"Who was it?" His voice was sharp and curt you noticed. You looked back at him, confused.
"Uhhhh...why does it matter? Aren't you an uncaring asshole? Why aren't you laughing at me yet?"
Whatever it was you were expecting, didn't come, because Lucci only got closer to you. You couldn't hold back the small blush that came on your cheeks. Cause even though he was a bastard, he was a handsome bastard.
"Who? And why didn't you fight them?"
You blinked, at a loss for words from how sharp his voice was. As well as how dangerously slitted his eyes were.
It's almost like...he's concerned for you.
...this is weird. You thought, a sudden sweatdrop and poker face formed. You backed up from him and turned around to walk back to class. This is too much for you to handle right now.
Before you got too far, a familiar hand came upon in your shoulder and your blood begin to run quicker as well as your shoulders tensed in preparation. Body already used to contact with him and ready for a fight, but then you remembered your friend's words and calmed down. You turned your head towards him, narrowed eyes on him as you moved your gaze from your held shoulder to his own dark eyes.
"What? I'm going back to class, or did you forget why you stopped me in the first place? And I can handle anyone who would pick a fight from me, so it's no concern of yours." You see his eyebrows furrow down, and heard a held back growl from him at your words. He stopped immediately. And frowned. Only to smirk at you.
"Are you sure? Cause I would hate for someone like yourself under the foot of others. For I don't see any signs of a fight on you. I didn't see you as a weakling, but perhaps I was wrong?"
Weakling?
No one calls you weakling and gets away with it!
Especially not stupid Lucci!
You quickly turned around and made a move to punch him in that smirking face of his, and then stopped.
"If he does the first hit, then you can fight him."
You gritted your teeth and clenched your fist, and put your arm back to your side. Noticing how Lucci looked at you with a raised brow and bewilderment.
You looked up at him, eyes in a glare.
"It was Paulie. Accident. Can I get my detention and go back to class now?"
Lucci stared at you in silence, searching your face with his eyes. His lips twitched downwards, and he nodded.
"Go."
You did. It was only until you went back to class and told Paulie and Smoker what happened did you realize he never gave you detention.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"You're not walking correctly like I said." Lucci stated after stopping you one day afterwords of the hall pass incident.
You were walking to your last class, now walking normally since Paulie and Smoker said it's not a rule to walk like Lucci said. It was hard to break the forced habit, but you finally felt relaxed.
Until the dick stopped you that is.
You felt your eye twitch as you yelled at him.
"You're a fucking—"
"Language." Lucci interrupted with a dark smirk.
"—liar! Smoker and Paulie told me the truth! I never had to walk with my back straight, chest out, and only short strides. You said it was a new rule they came up with, you dirty-no-good smirking-strong-know-it-all-shitlord!" You finished, huffing and your hair surely messed up from how you moved your arms in the air like the crazy teenager you are.
His smirk only grew wider, dark eyes twinkling.
"This 'strong-know-it-all' thought you would figure out it was a lie for yourself. Guess you're too much of an idiot like I thought."
Fire grew behind your eyes, along with your teeth feeling suddenly sharp as you raised a fist in front of your face.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" You prepared to jump at him, only to see Smoker and Paulie turn the corner towards the both of you, and stopped. Which only made you slip your feet on the floor, feeling your body fall.
Only for two arms to suddenly encircle you to stop your fall. Your eyes widened, noticing it was the arms of Lucci that held you. You felt...warm. Safe. Things you thought you would never feel when it came to Lucci.
It was weird, you thought, red faced.
You nonetheless looked at him to give a grumbled thank you, only to stop once you saw how close he was to you. (E/c) eyes stared into dark ones. He grew closer and you got redder, feeling his breath on your ear.
He chuckled softly, making your heart race at the pure sound.
"It takes a special idiot to slip on nothing." He purred, mocking(teasing).
You stopped. Growled. Saw the now wide eyed and gaping Smoker and Paulie. Pushed Lucci away, and began walking to your friends.
But not without giving him the middle finger.
And when your friends asked on why your face was red, you only replied that it was from pure anger at the Head of the Disciplinary Committee and nothing more.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
It was Saturday, and you never felt more tired from not fighting before.
The past few days at school was horrendous as you kept holding back and back from fighting the raven haired man. It didn't matter the amount of times he called you idiot, happen to catch you 'breaking' a school regulation, or just simply the way he looked at you, you didn't fight!
But man! Is it driving you crazy!
You held back a scowl as you walked through the streets of your neighborhood, casual clothes on as you went to grab some groceries.
You didn't think it was possible, but you think you're starting to have withdrawals from not fighting the bastard. You were constantly feeling adrenaline each time you got near him now, and to feel a wad of disappointment and weight on your chest each time you walked away from fighting with him. The constant changes of your mood wasn't helping either.
You think you were getting more irritated and impatient with everyone around you too. Your hands were also constantly twitching.
One of them was doing it right now.
You looked down at it, clenched it for it to stop only once it relaxed it started slightly twitching again. You tsked and continued walking, finally entering the grocery store and getting what you need.
Uncaring how crazy you look, nor how people looked at you with fearful eyes.
You recalled your call with Smoker earlier, the both of you noticing how Paulie missed Thursday and Friday for school and him not calling or answering any of your calls as to why. From there, Smoker brought up on how you were doing so far. As well as Lucci.
"Well (Y/N), from what I hear, you're as bad as Lucci right now." Your smoking friend said gruffly.
"What?"
He hummed. "Yeah, haven't you heard? Our favorite Head has been handing random detentions left and right for odd reasons. No one has fought him against it, but even his other members find his actions weird. Besides him giving detentions, he's been in his private Committee room and only coming out to search for you."
He paused to let you take all this in.
It seems that you aren't the only one having withdrawals from not having a good fight. Which made you state this sentence.
"Ehhhh?! He only comes out of his precious office to mess with me?! Man, that bastard!" You growled, honestly upset. But you were hoping your plan was working. "He deserves a good punch in the face! Wouldn't you say Smoker? I bet Paulie would like that I shut his mouth up to not call anyone an idiot ever again—."
"No."
You frowned, even more agitated that your plan didn't work.
"But—"
"No buts. Only if he hits you first, then you can hit him back. No excuses..." There was a moment of silence and you thought they were done until he spoke again.
"It almost seems like you miss your fights (Y/N)...or is it something more than that?"
Your brows furrowed at the last part, not understanding. But you know you miss the fights...but was it just the fights?
You weren't sure, but you hung up soon afterwords you denied it.
You paid for your items and walked out of the neighborhood grocery store. Only to hear a familiar coo by you. You turned your head, and was faced with beady eyes and dark ones looking at you in surprise.
"..."
"..."
"Uhhh...hi?" You rose a hand by your face awkwardly, unsure how to greet your rival. Lucci quickly straightened, the surprise gone from his features as Hattori cooed at you in greeting, flapping his wings happily. Your eyes went towards the pigeon, the only one bothering to greet you back after all. You smiled.
"Hey Hattori! How are you? Is your master treating you well? You should teach him some manners." Hattori cooed again and flew to your shoulder, rubbing his head to your cheek in affection as you laughed and scratched his feathery chest.
"What does that mean?"
You glanced at Lucci, surprisingly in casual clothes. A buttoned up long sleeved leopard print shirt with black jeans to match, along with black dress shoes. Something you weren't used to. Even though it was still a pretty formal look, the young man had a fondness for uniform and suits after all, that's all he ever wore. But...it made him appear more easy to talk to.
Strange. You thought, a small blush on your cheeks.
You hmphed, pointing a finger at him in annoyance. "You know exactly what it means bastard. When someone says hi, you gotta say hi back! But I guess you're too much of a damn antisocial loner you don't know the basics of greetings." Lucci narrowed his eyes down at you.
"You speak of manners, and call someone derogatory terms. Hypocritical isn't it? Then again, you're an idiot." Lucci smirked down at you as you waved your arms in anger along with your grocery bags, causing Hattori to go back to Lucci's shoulder in surprise. You blinked, and wondered why he was walking so casually across town. You asked him, which caused Lucci's smirk to disappear as he glanced to the side.
"Have you heard from Paulie?"
Your eyebrows rose in surprise. You know Lucci and Paulie were childhood friends before, but they don't talk anymore, at least to your knowledge. Your concern over Paulie's absence for the past two days made you question Lucci as to why. You spotted Lucci's lips twitch downwards.
"That ship obsessed fool has gotten himself in quite a situation. You are aware of...his living conditions correct?" Lucci carefully said, not wanting to be blunt about just how poor Paulie was. You knew Lucci was a dick. But not that much of one, if he was, you would never come to begrudgingly respect him. You nodded to his question, waiting for him to continue. Lucci looked down at you, then at the bags in your hands. He turned to the street and looked back at you.
"Come. We'll speak as we walk."
You blinked, and gave a confused okay as you walked beside him about to cross the street, Hattori calmly on Lucci's shoulder as they strolled. Lucci spoke about how Paulie's parents always had debts to pay since they were children, Paulie always doing his best to lighten the load. Which you gave a strong nod to. Paulie has a part time job, and always tries his hardest despite him acting like a delinquent at times. Paulie is a good man.
"As of now though, it seems a debt collector isn't happy about his debts not being paid." You looked at Lucci with wide eyes.
"Don't tell me...they haven't kidnapped him have they?" Lucci stared at you for a moment, and shook his head, the both of you now crossing the street. You released a breath you didn't realize you were holding, Lucci staring at you intensely as you did so, looking at the ground in relief.
"No. Then again, I am not sure. I'm patrolling the city to find clues as to exactly what is going on." Your brows furrowed, and opened your mouth to give your input when you heard multiple footsteps coming from their front just as they stepped into sidewalk as the light changed. You sidestepped quickly, Lucci doing the same with Hattori flying up above from the quick movements, only to realize the blur that passed you was a blond one. You turned back around quickly.
"Paulie!" Paulie turned at the call of his name, eyes wide and sweat going down his face.
"Move (Y/N)!" You narrowed your eyes at what he said, feeling a hand at your wrist and a pull to a firm chest as several bodies passed by you towards the street. Uncaring about the beeping cars as they chased down your friend. When you spotted their strange attire, suits with absolutely no wrinkles, your eyes widened.
"It's Capone Bege's men! We have to go after them!"
"How do you know?" You turned your head towards him, an awkward position considering how the raven haired man still held your wrist and your back was against his chest. Hattori was back on Lucci's shoulder, peering at you curiously.
"I've dealt with them in the past. Those men were nothing but gangsters before, some having their own gangs before joining Capone. Capone is famous for taking in gang members you see." You crinkled your nose in distaste at the memories of your gang having to fight some of these men. "They're horrible fighters. We can take them! Let's go!"
"You're forgetting something." Lucci interrupted just as you were going to the retreating figures of the men. You turned towards them with a glare, about to spat at him that they don't have time for whatever he was going to say. You saw him pointing at the floor, and you noticed a grocery bag crushed on the floor.
Your eyes widened as crocodile tears went down your face.
"MY (FAV. FOOD)!" You went down onto the ground looking at the lumps and bumps of the food you got from the store, along with your (fav. candy), (fav. beverage), and (fav. fruit). All ruined. "They're all smooshed... why?"
Lucci sweatdropped at the scene before him, with Hattori looking at you with a tilted head. This was just too pathetic looking, he thought as he gazed at the depressed lines over your form as you weeped about not tasting all these wondrous flavors that bless your mouth each time you take a bite or drink.
"You dropped it when the men ran past us, it seems that they stomped on it as they were chasing the ship idiot." He answered for you, and just like that your eyes had a fire.
"ILL DEFINITELY KICK THEIR ASSES NOW! THEY'RE GOING TO PAY!" You yelled, flames seeming to come behind you with your eyes promising death as you jumped from the ground and immediately ran across the street to chase the men, uncaring if you caused a car accident by crossing the road as cars drove before he could even stop you. It would normally make Lucci excited at your passion for a fight, but this whole situation was too odd for him to fully comprehend. And the passion wasn't directed at him.
Lucci's eyes flashed, beginning to have his own chase in the sidewalk and skillfully avoiding pedestrians as Hattori flew above him with coo's.
Yes, they will pay indeed.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
(Y/N) and Lucci sped along both streets and sidewalks to catch up with the men chasing Paulie, with Hattori cooing overhead. It did not matter if cars beeped at them(at you) or if they ran through people to not slow down from their increasing speed that would tire most people. They had to catch up to them! It wasn't just that though.
(Y/N) saw from the corner of your eye how Lucci went ahead of you and managed to do an impressive slide between a woman's legs and not knock her down or her stuff while standing up smoothly. He turned his head slightly just enough for you to see his arrogant smirk. (Y/N)'s eye's twitched as you gritted your teeth.
The bastard keeps showing off every chance he gets! As if he's better than you!
'I'll show him some real speed,' you thought to yourself with a fire in your eyes. You flicked your eyes to the right for a moment as Lucci ran along ahead of you, seeing all the traffic in the streets with cars steadily moving along them. Your eyes glinted.
And then you leaped off the sidewalk atop the hood of a steadily moving car, ignoring the driver's yelp as you moved up to the roof and measured your next few leaps in front of you and to the side. You noticed a car in the right lane going in the direction of Capone's men but it was a little far off, so jumping down the left lane you went. Cars that can easily run or hit your body, you moved towards them with purpose. Anything to get to Paulie faster.
Also to beat Lucci there too of course. He needs to be showed up, the show off!
You turned your head and glanced his way to see his reaction of your amazing plan that can't be beat at all, and noticed him watching you with his dark eyes. Your arm hairs rose at the same time you glared at him, challenging him to even try to catch up to you as you stood up on the roof of a car several feet ahead of your rival with the driver waving their fist at you and yelling "Get off my car you yankee!" (E/C) connected to the darkest of brown.
Something in his eyes changed, his own conviction shone through like yours but there was an underlying layer of emotion you could not pinpoint in that second before Lucci slowed down for a moment. You frowned, wondering what he's thinking cause surely a bastard like him doesn't give up. Surely you didn't read him wrong only to be disappointed. Your sharp eyes caught him moving his hand to his wrist and taking out his hairband, gathering his thick hair to put it up in a ponytail.
He's getting serious... You observed, blood pumping not only from the mere exercise of jumping atop cars. Damn, he took awhile! Arrogant bastard thinking to underestimate me! You turned your head back to jump up three more cars, trying to get closer to cars in the right lane so you wouldn't have to jump as much anymore and waste your energy while still paying attention to the backs of Capone's men that are heading in the direction of the other side of town, your hometown, East Blue. Once you landed on the third car you were aiming for, you turned your head back once more to pinpoint how far Lucci is. You furrowed your brows in confusion when you couldn't find him on the sidewalk.
"What the hell... he disappeared." You frowned as you then looked up at the sky to find Hattori and where he was flying above to track Lucci. Eyes squinting due to the sun. You spotted a white dot flying above the roofs of the buildings to the right of you and your eyes bulged at seeing a figure jumping to the different roofs as they sprinted, now ahead of you. You quickly scrambled as you tried to keep track of Lucci, the cars ahead of you as you jumped once more to catch up, and dirty Capone's men that seem to be heading to a half completed construction site.
"OI!"
Lucci turned his head and looked down at you with a calmness that is foreign to you right now and just makes your fire in your gut turn into an inferno as he released a toothy smirk. He didn't even have to say anything for you to read what he's thinking. Can't catch up? He (silently)mocked from above, dark amusement heavily lacing his tone(in your head)Hattori cooing snobbily in agreement to his master.
"I'LL CATCH UP TO YOU, YOU LITTLE PRICK! YOU'RE SUCH A SHOW OFF!" You yell, as you increased your speed in leaping atop different cars, maintaining perfect body mechanics each time you landed with seemingly no effort.
You squinted when you saw Lucci seemingly raise a brow towards you at that(ridiculous and hypocritical) statement. You huffed, not denying what he's inferring. And it's only when you did that did you notice you've had a cheek splitting smile this whole time.
The both of you continued running as they neared a building still in construction, with Paulie and Capone'es men running up the stairs within.
Unbeknownst to all a certain old friend of yours watched curiously as you ran atop the cars, bright green eyes turning towards where you're running to and amazingly manage to see what appears to be an old enemy. The sharp eyes blinked, a tan hand reaching for his phone as he dialed. The other hand running through his light brown hair as he put his phone to his ear.
"Hello? Hak?" The other side answered confusingly.
"It seems our old Danchou needs some help, Jet. Gather the gang."
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"I win!" You breathed with a smirk, with sweat rolling down your temples as you took a pause to breathe in as you stood in front of the incomplete construction site. The building was half finished with lights already in, but there were still noticeable gaps where a solidly wall must be. As well as many scaffolding's around the building for construction workers to stand on to work in that height. Construction trucks, cranes, pulleys, barricades and ropes were all around the site. But you ignored the barricades of course, they were in the way. Paulie and Capone's men ignored them too so it doesn't matter.
Lucci scoffed, who reached where you were in front of the construction site by landing from his jump on the roof of a nearby building just a millisecond after you.
"Don't be ridiculous." Lucci's eyes turned from your face to the building, narrowing when he spotted figures going up the stairs of the building through the gaps. You followed his gaze and saw the same, straightening yourself but not before glaring up at him. He smirked and glanced down at you. "We both know the real winner here, so stop embarrassing yourself."
Your face turned to a scowl as you crossed your arms, looking away up towards the crane and scaffolding's around the building as your mind worked a plan.
"Tch! Fine! It was a tie though." You relented, because there was more important things than to discuss their little competition. Thankfully Lucci said nothing as Hattori flapped back down to his shoulder with a 'Coo'. "It looks they're going to reach the roof, we need to be there before them." Your eyes trailed the crane, which had the hook holding onto a load of beams. You glanced upwards to see the scaffolding a few feet away from said load, with a ladder directly towards the roof upon it.
Your lips twitched, focused determined eyes gleaming as your brain made a notable ding.
Bingo.
Lucci followed your gaze and raised his eyebrows, noting your plan of action with just a second of observation.
"Your mind works in dangerous and life-threatening ways."
"Heh," your lips turned more upwards at that as you brushed passed him towards the crane, adrenaline rushing through you as you stretched your arms and legs in preparation. "You know you're the same, Lucci. And I know you live for it too. We're the same in that regard."
You finished your short stretch and began to jog towards the crane. Only for a laugh to stop you short. You looked back with wide eyes, and saw Lucci...laughing. His head was turned up to the sky as he laughed with an open mouth, eyes closed as a hand rose up to cover his face.
You shivered.
It was the creepiest strangest sound you've ever heard in your life.
Once he finally stopped, he opened his eyes and looked straight towards you with lips turned up. You froze, his intense dark eyes looking at yours with a heat you couldn't fathom. His hand lowered from his face, and your peripherals noticed how both his hands clenched and unclenched. But you didn't dare look away from his gaze, as he prowled(because he doesn't walk, he's not like the others) towards you as Hattori flew overhead with 'Coo's' all around. Not because of fear, oh no.
Because it reminded you of how he always looked at you when the both of you fought.
"I'm surprised you didn't get a detention for that one either."
No matter what you did or said to him, you rarely ever got a detention from him. Not since your freshmen year have you received punishment that you would rightfully deserve despite your words and their fights. Those blood spitting adrenaline pumping fights that would make others freeze, completely taken by the bone-chilling scene before them as you and Lucci match blow to blow.
"I don't know if you've noticed (Y/N), but it seems he's riling you up on purpose."
How many times has he riled you up? With that infuriating charming smirk of his as he did so? Knowing that would always light the spark of your always burning fire for a fight, a fighting spirit that no matter what you do, cannot be quenched.
"It almost seems like you miss your fights (Y/N)...or is it something more than that?"
You did miss the fights this past week. You never knew how much your inner fire can go, but it can go pretty far. The urges to just fight him, to battle with him, to compete with him. To show that no, you're the best with your attacks. With sword, stick, or fists, no one could beat you. When you were in middle school, no one messed with you. Whether it was because of your monstrous strength or because those pussies didn't want to punch a girl, no one could match you.
Not until Lucci.
On and on he would go with his sly remarks that you would find annoying and eager to shut up with a punch, because you just felt like it was natural to do so and this week you missed them. You, actually missing to be mocked? Getting called an idiot? Missing to get punched in the face? That contact between you two, both of you catching each other's blows and holding hand to hand with interlaced fingers, squeezing and pushing. Eyes never moving as you gazed hard, with a smirk upon his face and a grin on yours. Both your eyes would flash with an emotion to quick to catch, heart thudding in your chest you always explained to yourself it was the simple rush of having an equal.
But. As you look at him, right now. His own sweat falling down his face with slightly increased respiration's as he smirks and prowls. . .blood thrummed beneath your skin, writhing and rushing all around as it pounded your ears and you know your eyes are dilated and you know it's really not the time but oh God you can barely breathe—
He stopped. Mere centimeters from you and you can feel him without even touching him, like he can surely feel you because the air is thick with tension and there's only so many ways to stop it.
"So," he purred, grinning. "you admit that we're the same than, (Y/N)?"
Your mind went blank. You blinked, a notable question mark appearing over your head as the tension basically went up and disappeared.
"Uh. What?" You're sure your brain short circuited and it's not cause he didn't call you idiot!
"We're the same," he continued, eyes not ever straying as Hattori landed on your head with a flap. "Live for danger. Live for threats. Live for our fights. You feel the same as I do, don't you?" He reached a hand towards your chin, and you let him grab it. "The excitement, the feeling as we've done this before. And—" he stopped and frowned as question marks seemed to appear more over your head as he went on. He sighed and walked passed you, in resigned disappointment. "Idiot."
And just like that, the question marks disappeared as the blood went back and rushed through you.
"WHO YOU CALLING IDIOT?! PRICK! I'M GOING TO FOR SURE BEAT YOU IN GETTING UP ON THE ROOF!" You then dashed towards the crane, Hattori flying away with a surprised coo, and began to climb it quickly as Lucci did the same under you. Your focus was completely on Paulie, but in the back of your mind, Lucci's words played again and again in your head. As well as his heated gaze.
You're thankful you continued your initial confusion at his statement, because you really couldn't handle that right now. But you are aware that the conversation isn't over. You don't want it to be.
You caught Lucci catching up to on the crane, him climbing on the side of the crane instead of the middle like where you were to get ahead of you. Your eyes widened, seeing how it would be easier to fall that way.
"OI! YOU CRAZY?!"
Lucci released an arrogant smirk as the wind tossed his hair tied back in a ponytail. You couldn't hide your embarrassment this time as your skin turned hot, him continuing to climb up after he rose an eyebrow at you in challenge. You cursed at him with no real heat as you grinned, heart thudding in your chest. For what?
You honestly don't know anymore.
And you love it.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Man, do I regret coming towards this building, Paulie thought as he panted and continued running up the stairs for his life. He pushed obstacles behind him to slow down the debt collectors chasing him with resolve and dammit can't they just give up?! He's getting tired of running over here!
Why did his parents get so many loans from such suspicious people? He knows that they needed help in raising him since he was unexpected, but did it have to be so much?! FROM BEGE CAPONE?! WHO'S CONNECTED TO THE BIG MOM?! Paulie would sit in a dark corner and mope if he was a lesser man. Or just had more time in his hands.
"Get back here you slimy brat! It's time for your family to pay up!" One of the men snarled, Paulie able to sense how close the greedy fuckers we're behind him.
"Eat. . . SHIT!" He managed to taunt. With how much he was panting and trying to grasp for air, however, he really shouldn't have done that.
He's been chased for about two and a half miles, Capone's men being at his workplace of Marine 7 Imports when he arrived back from his lunch break. Thus the never ending chase that began, with him spotting (Y/N) and(surprisingly) Lucci together. (Y/N) being who you were, concerned (e/c) eyes looking at him and preparing to launch forward. As if that would help. Lucci of course being the shitlord he is, just narrowed his eyes at him. Paulie was sure the pigeon lover was glowering at him. Thinking how low Paulie must've gotten since they were children. How stupid to be involved in the mafia and too poor to be able to handle it easily.
Paulie gritted his teeth, eyes shadowed as sweat came off from every pore of his body.
Shitlord.
Paulie's eyes widened, almost tripping over a step but managing to catch himself. He doesn't think he can handle this anymore.
Paulie's eyes squinted. Finally spotting the door up to the roof. He spotted rope all around the area when he was running so anything he can use to his advantage, he will do so!
He barreled in through the door, breathing quickly as he observed his surroundings. Spotting a load of planks, beams, plumbing pipes and small scaffoldings on the right side of the roof. Blue eyes darted back and forth as he jogged to the middle of the roof, and cursed.
There's no rope here!
The door behind him slammed open, and Paulie could only stand in a standard guarded pose as men in suits surrounded him. The stench of cheap cigars wafted in the air and damn—if there was a reason to quit it would be this. And not (Y/N)'s voice constantly nagging at him.
"End of the line brat," a man stepped forward. A standard cheap suit and a fedora hat with a red trim. That's the only way for Paulie to tell the difference between the goons. The color of their fucking hats. "Due to the trouble of," he stopped to catch his breath and Paulie quirked his lips up in pride, "you trying to run away, we're gonna have to bring you to the boss. But not without punishing you first, you welcher." The Red Trimmed goon motioned his head, and the goons around Paulie drew closer. Nasty grins on their faces as they punched their other open hand while others took out a crow bar from the back of their pants.
Paulie quirked his lips up forcefully, fixing his stance. "You think I'm just gonna let ya? Think again assholes!"
The Red Trimmed goon contorted his face up to what might've been a smirk, but it just looked like a sneer to Paulie that made him want to punch it off.
"Get him."
Or at least that's probably what the Red Trim would've said, if a large and probably heavy pipe didn't land on his head and topple him over.
Paulie and the goons around him that want to pummel him, blinked simultaneously.
"Uhhhhh..."
"Oi! Up here ya shitheads!" A voice that sounded too much like (Y/N)'s called out from above. Paulie's blue eyes squinted, looking up and noticed the mini roof of the door to...the roof. There stood (Y/N) with a mischievous grin on your face, a wide stance with legs apart and shoulders back. A long and slender pipe resting on your shoulder as you held it. The mini roof for the door had a load of wood atop it, you must've stayed hidden from view to do this. "What's wrong? Shocked I caught your shitty wanna be leader and hit him upside the head?"
"(Y/N)!" He called with a scowl. "You crazy woman! What are you doing here?!"
"What am I doing here?!' What do you think I'm doing here?!"
"Acting like a crazy fight seeking freak that just happens to act self-righteous?!"
Your eyes went round, your stance loosening at his statement. "Wha—I'm not a crazy fight seeking—GAH, you know what! Maybe I am! But that's not why I'm doing this!" You then went to point with your other hand not holding your pipe towards the goons, who were looking back and forth between them with increasing impatience. "They fucking stepped on my LUNCH! You hear that?! I'm annihilating you fuckers!"
Paulie and the goons sweat dropped.
Is she serious right now? What's up with (Y/N)?'
A goon behind him scoffed loudly, and reached towards his coat. "That's it crazy bitch, we're taking you out and crippling your friend whether you like it or not." The goon took out a gun and aimed at (Y/N), but you seemed unbothered as you straightened. Narrowing your eyes, and a glint within them with your mouth quirked up slightly.
The goon glared up at you.
"You think I'm joking?"
You shook your head. "Nah. I'm just picturing just how you're gonna get your ass kicked."
The goon opened his mouth, only to be interrupted by a high kick to the face. Losing his hold on his gun as it skittered, the goon already unconscious before he hit the ground. Paulie looked up at to see Lucci standing there, leg still slightly raised from the ground. Hattori cooing above them.
(Y/N) was acting as a distraction!
Their gazes met, until Lucci glanced away and threw him some rope. Lucci glancing to where (Y/N) is as she jumped from the mini roof down to where everybody was and quickly taking advantage of everyone's surprise with swings and jabs of the pipe.
When Lucci turned back to him, only to see Paulie continuing to stare at him with a flabbergasted expression as he held the rope, Lucci rose a brow.
"Lost your touch, Paulie? Afraid you won't keep up?" The bastard toned with an arrogant smirk before he went on to do his own ruthless attacks filled with strikes and deflections. Paulie snapped out of it, scowling as he let loose of his rope and looped it around before throwing it. Managing to catch two goons that slammed against one another.
"Think again, ya sadistic bastard!" Paulie retorted to Lucci's comment, swinging and throwing his rope around as he pulled enemies close to him to punch or head butting them. "Like I'd let you pull ahead that much in front of me! I still got it."
It was blows to blows all around. Parries to feints from (Y/N) and the men with crowbars having trouble defending themselves from such strong relentless offensive attacks with your pipe. While Lucci's overpowering punches and kicks caused blood to fall in a red rain all around him. Painting the roof red as he smirked. There was a point where Paulie saw in the corner of his eye the both of you back to back. You and Lucci sharing a fleeting glance and what seemed to be grins on your faces. Well, the closest thing to a grin Lucci can muster because his are more feral and creepy. The both of you then leaping and lunging to the rest of the enemies with new fervor, taking each one down with astonishing ease.
If Paulie didn't know any better, he would think the both of you were competing in another way.
And if Paulie didn't know any better, as he continued defending himself and watching the both of you(accidentally) team up on enemies with smooth and workable combos, it was like this has happened before. Like you both have always fought together.
Crazy fight seeking weirdos. The both of them, Paulie insulted, but no one can deny the small smile on his face.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"Stay down assholes!" You snarled, doing three quick straight jabs in a goon's abdomen to make him fall over. Adding an additional stomp to their stomach to have him stay down as you moved on to the next enemy. Knocking your last man out with one punch, another one added to your list to beat Lucci on how many each of them took down. "This is what ya'll get for stepping on my (fav. food)! I was gonna eat that you know!"
You heard Paulie make an indignant 'hey!' at you.
"Oh, and for trying to take my friend too."
"You don't have to say it so casually!" Paulie yelled harshly, red faced with what seemed to be sharp teeth in his mouth as he knocked a man out after bringing him close with his rope. You laughed cheerfully.
You spotted a glowering Lucci with your peripheral vision, eyes in slits as he basically swatted a man away like an annoying fly. He glanced towards both of you.
"You bumbling idiots need to—"
"Impudent brat!" A voice interrupted, you quickly turning to where it came from. You felt your body tense. The de facto leader, the Red Trim goon held a gun towards Lucci who held back a growl and stepped back. Looking like he wished to tear the goon apart.
You moved forward slightly and dropped your pipe, hands tingling which you clenched. The pulse in your neck pumping furiously as you stared at the brutish weapon that can easily kill you and your friends.
The Red Trimmed man turned to you, the gun following. Lucci openly growled this time as Paulie yelped something incomprehensible you couldn't understand. "You bitch! You fuckin little—you'll pay for this!" He spat, blood dripping from his head due to your hit onto the floor. "You just had to barge in, Silver Blood! You think I didn't recognize you from your nosy days?! Your little wannabe gang that picked fights with all of us?!"
"Leave her alone you bastard!" Paulie stepped up, throwing his rope away as he stepped forward towards Red Trim. "Your fight is with me, don't—"
A shot was fired by Paulie's feet. Paulie in surprise fell back, cursing as he clenched his eyes. Opening one of them with a glare as sweat goes down his temple. Lucci's cold dark eyes were in harsh slits towards the goon, a gaze that would chill anyone who received it with lips curled. But the Red Trim only focused on you.
Which is fine, you're here in the first place to save Paulie. Saving Lucci is just a plus. The thought of him making a face at the fact you saving him made your lips quirk up slightly.
"You think this is funny?!" Red Trim shouted, breathing raggedly as he did so.
Your lips quirked higher, as you went to walk slowly to the left side. Making sure his attention was on you. The gun clicked. You stopped and crossed your arms. Hiding your cold hands by clenching them.
"Maybe. I just think it's funny a bloody man is trying to make threats to these 'brats' who took out his whole group."
You felt Lucci's hard gaze on you, you took a quick glance at him then looking away. Moving to tilt your head to the left as Red Trim raged while Paulie looked at you in a mix of shock and worry. Lucci turned back to the Red Trim, moving inch by inch to the right side as the goon glared at you.
"I'm the one with the gun ya little—that's it!" Red Trim elevated the gun higher, towards your head. All while you having a grin that you're hoping is not wavering. Paulie shouted a denial, getting up slightly from the ground but all for naught. Red Trim twisted his face into a shitty smirk, moving his finger to the trigger as Lucci's eyes turned heavenward with his jaw set.
"Say goodbye, bitch blood." His finger pressed against the trigger as you stood tall, raising your chin even as it trembled.
I don't want to die. Not yet.
A swoosh was heard, and a hard marble met the hands of Red Trim. He cursed as his grip of the gun loosened. A white substance proceeded to fall from the sky all over his shoulder and hand.
"What the fuck—" Lucci dashed to Red Trim, knocking him down and effectively causing the goon to drop the gun. Lucci grabbed the man's neck and slammed him against the ground with a thud, a harsh smirk and eyes blazing. Hattori landed on your shoulder, cooing as you and Paulie stared wide eyed.
"You should really learn your manners on to not interrupt when others are talking—"
The goon moved to punch him in the face, but Lucci caught the fist with his free hand. Eyes flashing viciously as he slammed the goon once more upon the ground, this time with a crack. This time Red Trim stayed down, a small puddle of blood forming underneath him as result.
"Is he...dead?" Paulie carefully asked, eyes round. Your eyes moved to Red Trim's chest, which was moving up and down albeit slowly. You shook your head at Paulie's question as Lucci stood up, fixing the sleeves of his shirt than moving onto wiping imaginary dust away from his shoulders. Hattori flying from your shoulder to his master's, cooing happily as he landed.
You sweatdropped at the sight, seeing the only stain he needs to clean up is on his face. Before you could tell him of it, Paulie made a loud sigh of relief as he stood up.
"Thank God, it's over. Where'd that ball come from?"
Your eyes turned towards the object in question, upon the ground near Red Trim's body. You moved forward and crouched, picking it up to inspect it. The pattern was a mix of black, blue, and white. You blinked, knowing this marking. Lucci stepped up behind you, noticing the way your eyes lit up.
"You know the cause?"
You nodded at your rivals question, standing up to move to the left side of the roof and began to scan. You spotted two figures atop another roof of a building that was 100 feet away waving furiously. You squinted, spotting familiar heads of hair and gasped.
"Hak?! Jet?! What made you guys come here?!"
"I saw you had some trouble (Y/N)!" Hak answered, and you didn't have to see his face clearly for you to know he was smiling. "My radar of you getting into trouble flashed furiously!"
"Hak didn't just get me though, Danchou!" Jet added, his own smile as he pointed down below you. "We brought everybody if you needed back up!"
You moved your eyes down, and you let out a surprised laugh. Seeing Wes, Korra, Zuko, and Taka both giving you their unique greeting in a mix of peace signs and head nods with smiles.
"You... you guys! You didn't have to do this, I'm not your Danchou anymore!"
They all looked at each other, then up at you.
"You'll always be our Danchou, (Y/N)!" They said in unison and your heart warmed with eyes watering at the sight. Then ordering them to come up here and help with the mess, which they agreed to easily and began entering the building slowly.
You felt both Paulie and Lucci come beside you, them glancing down as well.
"That's your old gang, (Y/N)?" Paulie questioned, glancing between your old members as they entered the half assed construction site with a frown. "Huh. Thought'd you'd have more people under ya than this." Paulie moved a hand to his pocket as you shook your head with a small proud smile, staring at your old second family.
"Nah, they were always enough and we had perfect teamwork and—PAULIE!" You slapped Paulie's hand away from the cigarette he took out from his pocket, causing it to fall to the floor. "Stop smoking that! You need to quit!"
"Dammit (Y/N)! We all just nearly died! I can't have a fuckin smoke to calm my nerves?" Paulie moved to pick up the cancer stick, only for Lucci to kick it off the roof. "WHAT THE SHIT?!" Paulie quickly stood up and turned to Lucci with rage. "What the hell was that for, ya shitlord?!"
Lucci glanced to Paulie, than to you, than back down as his eyes searched for something.
"I've had enough cheap cigar smell for today. I don't need you with your disgusting habit to make it worse." Paulie shut his mouth up after that, but not without a few mutters about uncaring assholes leaving his mouth. You looked at Lucci's profile from the corner of your eye—not being able to take your eyes away from the blood on his cheek to his temple. You diverted your eyes away just as Lucci looked up towards you, your ears becoming hot as you bit the inside of your lip.
"You got blood on your face," You answered, tucking your hands to your pockets as you turned your head towards him. "A pretty messy look for your always composed self. Usually the only blood on your face is yours, by me." You quirked your lips slightly at Lucci's scoff.
"As well as yours. Unless you've forgotten." Lucci replied, swiping his hand to his face to rub the blood away. "Tch... I don't know how a blood of a weakling managed to get on me."
"You were a little rough on him, of course you'd get blood on ya." You commented, raising a brow as Lucci only swiped once and smudged the leftover blood on his cheek. "Guess I win for keeping it clean~!"
Lucci glared at you, while Paulie sputtered.
"A 'little rough'?! There's blood pooling under him! Although, the bastard deserved it. He was gonna kill you, (Y/N)..."
You shrugged. "But he didn't. And he was gonna shoot you and Lucci if I didn't move. I had to do something." You turned your head to the floor, spotting the gun and picking it up with a frown. "How easy it is to kill with this thing... also, that asshole recognized me from my middle school days. I had to take advantage." You emptied the gun of its bullets, letting them fall to the floor.
"You took your role as the distraction too far." You rose your gaze towards Lucci, forcing a smile on your lips as his gaze bored into yours. "I would've been able to handle the scum myself, there was no need for you to interfere."
"All you have to do is say "thank you for saving my life, (Y/N)". No need to appear like you didn't need saving, you were going to jump at him for interrupting you." You held back a snort at Lucci's twisted expression, knowing you got it right on the money.
"I'll do so if you do the same."
You blinked. Oh. Yeah, he did save you too huh?
"Pfft, no you didn't. Hak and Hattori did. With Hak's marble and Hattori's shit." You spotted his frown, but could only focus on the smudged blood on his cheek. You sighed, walking up to him as you ripped a piece of your shirt off. His brow furrowed as you did so. "Come on Lucci, you still got some leftover blood. Let me get it." He rose a brow, but tilted his head down towards without a word. Surprising. You reached up with both hands, one bare on his right cheek and the makeshift rag with the other. You concentrated on the stain, even though your face felt hot. From being near him as well as you feeling his gaze on your own face.
You bit your lip, moving your eyes towards him and muttered "Thank you."
Lucci's lips quirked up just a tad. And damnit, it was that charming arrogant smirk of his! But he then flattened his lips, dark eyes focusing on yours and you only.
"And I you, (Y/N)." You rapidly blinked in surprise at his appreciation. The closest thing to appreciation from Lucci anyone can get really. You let out a small smile, finishing up on his face as butterflies went through your stomach despite you being aware this isn't the time.
"You're welcome."
"...I'm still here you know." Paulie flatly said.
You jumped and moved away, body hot in embarrassment as Lucci moved to glare at Paulie.
"GAH! I WAS JUST HELPING HIM A BIT!"
"Uh Huh. Then why were you staring at him?"
"OF COURSE I HAVE TO STARE AT HIM! I was cleaning his face! I–I can't do it blindly you know!"
"Sure," Paulie said, amusement lacing his tone as he stared at you and the now glowering Lucci. "Why didn't ya just tell him to clean his face more? Or give him your now ripped shirt?"
"Cause—I—Listen here ya little shithead. It's natural to help partners out okay!"
Lucci and Paulie rose a brow at you.
You then caught what you said, and a mix of confusion and nostalgia filled you.
Weird. But...it feels natural to call Lucci partner. We worked really well together despite the constant competition between us. Like...we've always done it. Maybe this could mean...
The door flew open, multiple figures coming out.
"Ah! Lucci-Sempai, we found you. Oh and (Y/N)-sempai. Paulie-sempai. " You turned and let out a surprised smile at one of the people that turned up.
"Kaku? Hey!"
"Took all of you long enough," Lucci observed, the whole Disciplinary Committee present and up in the roof. You internally frowned, thinking back on when Lucci could be contacted his group. Probably when he disappeared from your sight earlier as they ran separately through the streets, him being on the roof.
"Sorry Boss, took us awhile to find this place," Blueno answered, looking around the roof with bodies scattered all around.
"Sorry'?!" Jabra loudly shouted, grating your ears. "Don't say sorry to this bastard! Forcing us all to come here to pick up this mess!"
Kalifa moves towards one of the men who was still moving from pain, and opened his eye only for Kalifa to kick him with her heel. "Hmph. Looking at me like that is harassment."
"Ah, not every day our boss Lucci needs our help, Chapapapa. Oh, and it's (Y/N)-chan! Say, do you know how many times you haven't gotten a detention because of—" Fukuro didn't finish his sentence due to how everyone covered his mouth rapidly with sweat going down their faces. A question mark appeared over your head, unaware how behind you Lucci's eyes were narrowed and flashing dangerously.
"A-ah, what Fukuro was talking about is how you never get a de-de-detention because of how you hear my won-wonderful haiku's~!" Kumadori finished for the big mouth Fukuro, doing a weird dance as he did so. You sweatdropped at the sight, wondering what was going on. Your old gang then appeared behind the door as well.
"Hey Danchou-woah, what's with the law followers?" Taka questioned, glaring at the Disciplinary Committee. Not surprising. With their uniform on, outside of Lucci, anyone would be able to recognize a Disciplinary Committee no matter what school they're from.
"It's alright," you stepped up, trying not to step on a downed enemy as you crossed your arms. "You guys are gonna help clean up this mess. And," you glanced back towards Lucci, "I imagine we won't be alone in that?"
Lucci shook his head, turning towards his group and stepping up beside you with hands in his pockets.
"I want this place spotless with no evidence whatsoever found on what occurred here. We'll figure out where we put the weaklings later."
Kaku tilted his head, glancing between Lucci, you and your gang.
"Working with them is okay Lucci-sempai? They are known delinquents."
Lucci glanced towards your old gang, who tensed than turned away with closed eyes.
"No matter. No one will know of this. Now stop slacking and get to it."
"That's for you too guys," You added authoritatively, motioning your head to your gang. "Let's get to it."
The two separate groups worked as one, with comments here and there. You and Lucci stood side to side, assessing their progress. As well as you handing the gun from Red Trim to Lucci after he asked for it, knowing exactly how and where to properly get rid of it.
Paulie stood to the side during all of this, watching carefully your interactions with Lucci as the both of you conversed quietly. Him hearing a few numbers here and there on how many opponents they each took down and who did the most. Paulie couldn't help but chuckle exasperatedly.
What do you know...maybe fighting freaks can actually work out together.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
It's been a few days since the incident with Paulie and Capone's men. You didn't hear anything occurring with Capone, no mention of revenge or retribution or nothing. But that's probably due to how you, your gang, Smoker(after you caught him up) and—the most surprising of all—Lucci and the Committee pitched in to help pay the leftover owed debt. With Paulie and his parents finishing it. It seemed the days of being chased by loan sharks and worrying about money was over for Paulie, although he decided to keep on working in Marine 7 Imports. Set on wishing to becoming a naval engineer and working at that place brightened his day up, despite how weird his coworkers were.
Paulie's and Lucci's relationship seemed to be repaired, at least somewhat. They would still glare at each other, with a few scowls here and there mostly on Paulie's side. But no one can deny the camaraderie (very) hidden beneath the depths as the both of them would insult each other with no real heat.
You've been uncharacteristically quiet the past few days, Smoker taking notice of it. How you would gaze off with a concentrated look on your face during class and during conversation between him, you, and Paulie. Each time he would ask, you'd wave him off and say you were just thinking. Smoker and Paulie never looked convinced because not only have you been quiet, you've been very punctual as well as following all the school rules. And that's something everybody noticed.
Which includes Lucci. You've even been walking how he instructed you to walk, the rule upon you that was never a real rule. Each time you'd pass him by the hallways, you did your best not looking at him but man did he stare at you. You felt his gaze stronger than before, and it was always questioning with a mix of mild confusion.
But...but you just can't help it!
You're at a loss on what to do! Ever since last Saturday with the Paulie and Capone incident, a mix of feelings appeared out of thin air. Or perhaps more accurately, feelings you didn't know were there and just happened to spring up when you and Lucci made the perfect duo despite the constant competitive talk. As well as the words Lucci said to you, how the both of you were the same. You could name a million ways on how the both of you were different on personalities alone. You were the complete opposite of the cold strict and harsh Lucci. You were very aware of your faults.
Hothead. Stubborn. Brutish.
But the both of you shared one trait, that strongly made up both of your personalities and how the both of you acted.
A competitiveness fighting spirit that can only be sated by worthy opponents that did not hold back.
It's this that brought the both of you together in the first place, the constant pull of having to fight. To prove to one another who exactly is the strongest and the most creative. You're sure that when you first came to this school, that Lucci heard of who you were in middle school. Having one of the strongest gangs in East Blue. For you also heard about him, the ruthless student that was a stickler for rules that apparently have put students in the hospital before.
You don't remember exactly what caused the first fight between the two of you, but it's most likely from how you were late during the second week of school. He awaited outside the gates with crossed arms and a pigeon on his shoulder. He wouldn't let you pass the gate no matter what, having an astonishing speed and agility that mildly impressed you but you were getting too annoyed to care. Who does he think he is after all? Thinking that you won't be able to get past him just with his speed alone? And then you threw the first punch, experimentally to the abdomen to have him fall down from your hit. Only for it to be caught easily.
Your eyes went round as dark met (e/c), lips in a flat line as he stared at you unimpressed.
"Too slow." He pulled you forward, your fist still in his hand as he went to do a punch of his own but you gave a strong headbutt. You already feeling the headache coming on, but it made him let go of you. You jumped back, glaring at him.
"Too slow," you mocked, blood now pumping rapidly. Wondering if your schoolmates weren't exaggerating and were right after all. You moved to a stance, Lucci rubbing his chin as the pigeon flew overhead with coo's. Scared away from the damage you did to its master.
If you remembered correctly, you spotted his lips turning up and dark eyes flashing before the both of did a barrage of attacks to each other. A never ending bloody and bruising fight, scratches and cuts on both of you. A fight that got interrupted because of Principal Sengoku and your old mentor now teacher Garp stopping it. It was the cause of your first detention, which was really stupid. But you realize now the annoyance and irritation you felt, blood still thrumming excitedly beneath your skin as you were escorted away with badges of pride of surviving the 'big' and 'bad' Lucci that it was because the fight was never finished. You turned your head back, to spot Lucci looking at you intensely with a gaze that burned. You held back a shudder and turned your head back, clenching your hands as they shook. Not with hatred.
But with excitement.
Unbeknownst to you, Lucci released a feral grin behind you. You releasing a subconscious smile of your own.
All this time, mistaking emotions for another. Not noticing how easily the both of sought each other out throughout your freshmen to now senior years, him still being there despite already graduating. Not even realizing the actual tension when the both of you were actually not fighting and conversing(insulting) one another as you would sometime sit in his Disciplinary Committee Office. Helping him feed Hattori who was a pretty alright and cute bird if you got past his fickle nature of pecking you then cuddling you as he wrote you up(but he rarely even did anyways. What exactly did he write? A bunch of bullshit to make you stay in his office longer?). You even thought back the moments he actually helped you, whether it was the vending machine(although he did have that arrogant smirk on his face) or collecting your forgotten bag or books for you since you're always in a rush(he would call you a forgetful idiot that has no manner of surviving by yourself).
And then last week happened, how the both of you held back your fighting natures and in turn spending less time together. How you craved for it, missed it. And... dammit!
Dammit...you think you actually like the bastard.
You stood outside the Disciplinary Committee's Office during lunchtime, walking back and forth as you bit your lip. Moving your hand to go towards the door to knock or open it, only to step away and curse. Face hot as you walked back and forth trying to figure out what to do. Hell! What the fuck are you even going to say?!
Hey, I actually think you're handsome and our fights are really great and I actually kinda sort of like you.
You wanted to cry, that sounded horrible! The bastard would give off that unimpressed stare while Hattori cooed haughtily at your flustered state.
And you're sure he kinda likes you too. He has to right? It would explain how you rarely have gotten detentions from him and the rest of the Committee. As well as why Smoker would look at him weird each time Lucci was near you and his intuitive comments. And, what he said before you guys climbed the cane at the construction site gave it away too. His heated look that made your blood pump faster than any fight of their's also added up. Right?
Right?!
You laid your head against the doorframe, expression tight as you punched the wall next to you.
What am I going to do? He's sort of hard to read. I don't know how to do this. I've never...I've never even thought much about love before. Just my love for fights...
The door opened, and lo and behold there stood Lucci with Hattori nowhere to be found. He looked down at you, than towards the wall that you punched. You taking advantage of him not looking to fix your expression as you lifted your head from the doorframe, standing straight.
Gotta pretend everything is the same. Pretend, pretend, pretend—
"Finally out of the woodworks only to punch the wall by my office." He commented idly, leaning against the door frame with crossed arms as he bore his gaze back towards yours. Flicking this way and that across your face, seeking to search for something before giving up with a slight frown and met your nervous eyes. "If I didn't know any better, you came here only to irritate me and wish for a fight. But that can't be right. You've been acting. . .surprisingly courteous and well mannered since last Saturday."
You glanced away from him, looking down as you bit your lip. Lucci's eyes narrowed in on your mouth before looking back up at your face, brows furrowed.
He needs to stop looking at me like that as he's wearing that formal suit of his with his hair down. Wait. . .did he say—
Your eyes widened a fraction, you quickly looking up with a forced smile as you hastily pointed at his face. Lucci frowned, squinting down at you as you had your finger right by his nose.
"A-ah! Yup! We gotta fight, Lucci. It's been too long. You weren't aware, but I've actually been practicing this cool new fighting move that I'm sure can take you down pretty easily and is unblock-able!" Lucci rose both his eyebrows this time, looking at you incredulously with lips quirking up.
"Oh? That's pretty doubtful." His lips than flattened and your smile slipped as he looked away. "And you can't just say for us to start a fight idiot. The Committee needs a reason to stop delinquents from causing a scene or to act on a punishment for us to act towards it."
As he was talking, your eyes flashed. A crack was heard, a result of you punching the same spot of the wall with your other hand. Small little cracks formed on the wall around the newly formed hole as you gave him a sharp grin. His eyes turned narrow as you stepped back from him with both your hands down, than gave a salute and running away with a laugh.
"Try to get me this time, bastard!"
You taunted, you already feeling him behind you with an amazing drive. If you were anyone else, they would surely have fainted from merely feeling the predatory gaze of Lucci. But it only made your blood pump faster excitedly, face flushing as you quickened your pace up towards the school's roof.
You slammed the door, jogging a little up more to the center of the roof. Scaring your schoolmates as they shrieked and dropped their food, making them do a weird and odd pose.
"(Y/N)-sempai?!" A schoolmate, Mozu, yelped. "Oh no, does that mean—" Lucci slammed the door open, causing your schoolmates to shriek once more as he stepped up towards you in the center of the roof. Your schoolmates hastily left the roof, knowing what's to come from their years of being here.
You and Lucci stood ten feet apart, both your stances wide and eyes watching one another carefully. Lucci tilted his head at you.
"You broke the wall."
"Yeah."
"You interrupted me by breaking the wall."
You moved a leg back behind you, fixing your stance in preparation as you nodded.
"Yeah. I did. I know you hate it."
His glare loosened a tinge, along with tightened jaw. "You did it anyways. To just show this move of yours? That you've apparently been practicing in the shadows?"
You snorted and shook your head. "Ah, Lucci. Cut the crap. I know you were trying to find a way to fight me again. It's been what? Two weeks since we last fought?" You grinned openly, eyes determined and focused as you breathed in and out. Because you may not know much about love, but you know a lot about fighting. "I helped you find a reason, no need to act like you don't know why I did it. You tried talking to me about it before our climb on the crane."
Lucci's brows furrowed, only for them to raise a second later as he smirked. "You were acting like an idiot on purpose." He let out a chuckle, than moved his cuffs of his suit up after he put his hair up in a low ponytail as he prepared his own stance, eyes burning as he gazed at you. "How long have you been doing that act? Acting like you don't know what's going on or what I'm saying with your little facade?"
You faltered, face turning hot in embarrassment as you tried to think of something to say. You really are a bit slow sometimes but maybe you should act like you aren't. Nah. Forget it.
You shrugged as your response as the both of you began circling each other.
"I forgot to say this too." Your focused (e/c) eyes stayed on his questioning dark ones. "Whoever wins this fight by pinning the other in three seconds gets a reward while the loser gets a punishment."
A corner of his mouth lifted, interest evident in his expression which made you giddy. Limbs practically shaking in pure excitement.
"Interesting. . .I imagine you already thought of yours." Lucci guessed, moving quickly in a feint that you caught so you merely stepped back as you thought of your answer.
"Mmm, yeah," you idly said, giving a slow kick that Lucci dodged easily. Stretching your limbs in a warm up in preparation for how long this and brutal this fight can take. "Although I admit I haven't thought on your punishment when you lose."
They're probably going to be one in the same anyways, you thought with a flush you did your best to hold back.
"I already know when I win what I want from you as well as your punishment. So be prepared, (Y/N). " He practically purred, making your eyes narrow as your heart skipped a beat. Whether it was from fear or his voice, you weren't sure. You just know you need to plan the perfect maneuvers to successfully keep Lucci pinned for three seconds.
You darted forward, deciding to make the first move with a high (dominant hand) punch. Lucci blocked it, moving your arm away and moving to give you an elbow to the face. You ducked, pushing the heel of your hand up to his chin. You made contact, a grunt being released from him and then you felt your legs fall from right under you.
I gotta win. I gotta win.
You cursed, quickly rolling away and jumping back up. Meeting Lucci's kick with one of your own, both of your legs straining from strength. Lucci twisted away, dropping his raised leg as you did the same. He dashed towards you, you switched to a defensive stance. A barrage of punches coming your way, a move of dodging, swiping, and blocking his fists caught you in your toes. Some of his hits managing to make contact, causing you to release a few hisses in pain. As you noticed him slowing down, realizing since the both of you have fought so much you can read each other like a book. Lucci moving to experimental maneuvers with dark eyes in concentration. But you managed to squeeze in two feints, both with your punch and a kick that Lucci sidestepped which worked perfectly. Quickly maneuvering your other leg that was closest to Lucci, you hit him straight in his side with a sharp side kick.
You gotta win. You gotta win.
Lucci's jaw tightened but he recovered quickly, grabbing your leg. Your eyes widened, realizing your mistake as he pulled your leg towards him. You lost your balance and fell with a curse, eyes squinting up at Lucci as he mounted and pinned you to the ground with his knees by your side. You spotted Lucci's smirk, victory in his grasp as he moved his hand to your shoulder to keep you down.
1. . .
"Shame you didn't show me your move, (Y/N)."
2. . .
YOU GOTTA WIN!!!
Your eyes burned. You moved your elbows to your side, grabbing the arm on your shoulder with a monkey grip on his wrist and the other to his tricep. You bent your left knee and moved it over his right calf while you moved your right knee between both his legs. You then thrusted your hips upwards, catching Lucci's wide eyes and slight redness as you flipped him over. Your positions now reversed as you sat atop of him, quickly moving up to pin his right bicep with both your legs and moving atop him. Using your weight of your right arm to keep his left bicep down, the other arm by his neck.
1. . .
You breathed quickly in and out, looking down at Lucci's shocked expression. You pressed your weight further down, both on your legs and your arms. Making sure he doesn't get free, knowing that he can't thrust his hips up to take you off since you're by his chest or use his legs.
2. . .
You felt his chest move up and down under you, trying to catch his own breath as he moved slightly under you. All for naught. Your eyes flicked to the sweat coming down his neck and how his carotid artery pulsed noticeably. You then turned your crinkled eyes towards his dilated dark ones, something thrumming underneath his eyes you couldn't read.
3!
"I win." You grinned, catching your own breath as your chest moved against his. Face hot and heart still pumping as you stared at each other.
Lucci's eyes followed your lips than back to your sparkling (e/c) eyes, before closing them. Relaxing his head against the ground as he breathed.
"You did," he breathed huskily, you fixing yourself and getting off his arm along with his chest. Instead kneeling in front of him with nerves going wild. He slowly sat up, massaging his right bicep with glances between you and than focusing on what he was doing. "What's your reward? And what's my supposed punishment that you've have yet to decide on? Although you're more excited about the reward since you were so eager for this fight."
Lucci glanced back towards you and was met with a longing and hasty kiss to his lips, eyes rounding in response once more. You not noticing anything due to keeping your eyes closed shut. You broke it off quickly, ears and face hot as you looked at Lucci's face than down in a flustered state.
"I—I just wanted to—look, I was trying to figure out a way to say what I wanted to say the only way I knew best. The only way we both know best." You clarified, rambling nervously as Lucci stayed silent and you can feel his eyes boring into yours and you don't how much longer you can resist not kissing him again. "If I. . . if you didn't like that we can just go back to fighting and just forget this ever happened. I just thought you felt the same way, or—or something because you'd get these looks and it feels a lot like the one you're giving me now without me having to look up at you because we've known each other for quite a bit now. And I," You broke off, playing with your hands on your lap to try to calm your nerves and your heart. You don't think you can take it. "And this silence really is killing me so I'm just going to flat out and say it."
You breathed once, twice. Than looked up and only focused on Lucci's dark eyes as yours held that determined glint.
"I like you, Lucci. And. . . I really do think we made great partners during that whole fiasco. So, if you want. . . maybe we can—"
Lucci's hand grabbed a hold of your chin, stopping you there as his lips quirked up into a grin with dark eyes flashing.
"Stop talking, idiot." And than he kissed you, wrapping his arm around your waist roughly to bring you closer causing you to gasp. You felt his grin turn into a smirk, taking advantage of your gasp to slip his tongue into your mouth. You moaned into the kiss, slipping your eyes shut as you moved your hand to clutch onto his suit. Your other hand moving to the back of his neck, breaking the hair ties holding hair and threading your fingers through his wondrous black hair that felt mesmerizing to the touch, him furrowing his brows as you did so. Lucci sucked on your bottom lip, causing another sound to be released from you unconsciously as you clenched harder to his suit.
But that's not fair, you need him to make noises too!
You nipped his lip slightly at the same time as you pulled his hair a little, and he made a breathy noise that made your toes curl and want to push him down and fight in another way. Just to see who can make the other create more noises like that because you want to hear that again and God you never imagined his touch and lips to be like fire because he is cold and mocking. You'd never think his touch would burn, him moving you up closer and practically on his lap. The both of you breaking away to catch each other's breath, hot pants being exchanged between the two of you as both your eyes blazed with an intense heat that can't possibly be sated, a mix of blood and sweat in the air and coated in your mouths.
And you don't really want it to, you thought, moving your head back at the same as he did. Using your hand to push him slightly, only for him to growl and to push you down upon the ground instead. This caused you to break away to let out a breathy chuckle.
"Still sore from your loss?" You slowly blinked your eyes at him, smirking at his glowered expression as your arms were around his neck. Lucci's arms beside your head, being surprisingly careful to not crush you under him with his weight.
"Not sore," he consented, ducking his head towards the side of your face. Your heart thudded in your chest, catching what was unsaid by him and made you want to grin proudly. That was the best consent that you deserved to win from him. His nose was tickling you so you couldn't help but shudder as he continued, lips quirked up slightly. "You managed to surprise me."
Your mind flashed at Lucci's interesting expression when you thrusted your hips to get him off you, although you were getting distracted when Lucci experimentally bit and sucked the shell of your ear.
"Ngh. . . Why were you—" you stopped to gasp, his teeth pulling your ear slightly before licking it, his breath on you making you go haywire as your heat seemed to travel downwards in a pleasurable sensation. You deciding to brush your nails at the back of his neck, a warning. "Why. . . were you surprised. . .?"
Lucci made a noise of irritation, moving up back to your face to set his dark blown out eyes on yours. He observed you quietly for a second than scoffed.
"You idiot, you don't know what you do to me do you?" Your eyes blinked owlishly, catching how he said 'idiot' with a warm tone. Although it was mixed with bewilderment.
"Errr. . . No?" You sheepishly said, rubbing the back of his neck appreciatively with your right hand as you brush your other hand down to his chest. Looking away for a moment to stare at the buttons of the suit upon his chest, and wishing for it to disappear so you can properly feel his chest to see how firm his muscles are for him to be called your worthy rival.
As you were doing this, Lucci was watching you with blazing intense eyes. How you pouted when your fingers grazed his neck to his uniform, a fire in your eyes like it is within his.
A fire that may never die. At least, with their bloody brutal fights Lucci internally thought, a hungry smile growing.
Lucci licked his lips, tasting your blood in his mouth and made him wild with new fervor. He dived back down to your mouth, catching you by surprise at he wrapped his arm around your hip, bringing you closer so the both of you were chest to chest. He kissed you hotly, passionately, with a demand and a need to take you all in because you are his. And he is yours, and no one can take either one of you.
You gasped, catching your breath as you whispered his name that made him want to take you right than and there—
The door slammed open, causing you to break the kiss again to squeak below Lucci pathetically.
"Ah~, nothing like a good lunch date up on the roof huh, Maki—oh." You heard Shanks' voice stop, and you were sure you could've put a fried egg on a pan to shame from how hot you were. It didn't help that Lucci didn't move. At all.
He just hissed when you broke the kiss, as if it was your fault and not at all how Shanks and Makino were right there. Lucci turned his head back, eyes in cold slits that promised pain as he looked at the red hair.
Makino jumped at the look, moving behind Shanks and tugging his shirt.
"Shanks, maybe it's best to—"
Shanks did not get stirred by Lucci's look, only turned his autumn eyes towards you. His eyes flickered to your messy form, spots of bruises and blood on your face. Most noticeably on your lips. Spotting his look, you hastily covered your face, in embarrassment of this whole thing. He smiled as he waved casually, walking up slowly even if Lucci noticeably tensed above you. Wrapping his arm on your hip tighter.
"Hey (Y/N)! Having your own fun I see? I didn't know you guys fought in that way too!" Shanks laughed, closing his eyes and you were sure you were going to die. "When did this happen?"
"Leave, Red Hair." Lucci commanded, glowering as he moved his more over you in a attempt to cover your state. "You're being a nuisance about things that have nothing to do with you."
Shanks hummed, trying to move his head to catch a look of you despite Makino begging him that they should leave and Lucci's threatening expression.
"You alright, (Y/N)? Not being too rough on ya?"
Is Shanks serious?! You were sure you were about to cry at this whole situation. You didn't want others to see this! This was supposed to be private and—who are you kidding? You were curious how far the both of you would go and see who would win on who can make the other release odd noises. You were being impatient and probably could've done something you would've regret later so maybe a teeny tiny part of you was grateful at the interruption but dammit!
You're too embarrassed to answer. You rubbed your hot face, as if that would cool it down. Before you gently touched Lucci's chest, him swinging his head back towards you. You nodded an okay, he frowned but let you push him off as you sat up. Lucci keeping his focused gaze on you.
You sighed tiredly than gazed up at the patient Shanks.
"I'm okay, Shanks. Thanks for the concern. We were just. . ." You trailed off, not really knowing what to call you and Lucci now that you guys are 'together'. You looked down, biting your lip.
"She's mine, Red Hair." Lucci interjected, making you look up to see that his dark eyes moved from yours to Shanks, glaring at your fellow classmate. "That's all you need to know."
You blinked, and turned towards Shanks with a strong nod.
"And he's mine. We're. . . partners I guess you can say."
Shanks stared at both of you, silently with flat lips. Moving his gaze from yours to Lucci, as if assessing. He than clapped out of nowhere, making you jump while Lucci's eyes tightened as the red haired teen gave off a laugh.
"Okay! I was just wondering why the leader of the Disciplinary Committee was breaking the rules!" Shanks cheerfully said, walking back towards Makino at the door to the roof with a grin.
You frowned, looking at Lucci.
"Breaking the rules?"
Lucci's jaw tightened, him moving to stand up as he swiped to clean up his suit.
"Are you trying to tell me how to do my job, Red Haired Fool? I can give you a detention just for the disrespect."
Despite the threat and the insult, Shanks just laughed it off. Looking down at you with a teasing grin, as you got back up with the help of Lucci's offered hand.
"Nah~ everything makes sense now! You guys have a weird definition by the way for lovers. Partners. . . that's a new one I haven't heard before!"
You turned hot again, almost falling over.
"LOVERS?!"
"Eh? Isn't that what you guys are? You just picked another name for it." Shanks explained, turning towards Makino who was smiling behind her hand in amusement. "I personally like boyfriend and girlfriend but I guess everybody has a way of saying things. It explains a lot from what I've heard from one of the other members of the Committee."
"Huh?" You questioning aloud, thinking on who it could be. A memory of a certain green haired teen about to spit something out as everyone was cleaning up the mess of Capone. "Fukuro?"
Lucci's eyes darkened.
In another part of the school, Fukuro shuddered intensely out of nowhere. He looked around, cold sweat going down his back as he tried to shrug off this foreboding sense of dread.
"Dahahahaha! See ya'll 'partners' or 'comrades' later!" Shanks and Makino went through the door, disappearing from you and Lucci's sight. Nostalgia hit you, causing your eyes to widen and your heart beat erratically. You put a hand to your chest.
"Comrades. . . that sounds. . ."
"Foolish," Lucci interjected, rubbing the back of his neck as the other went towards his pocket. "We both know what we really are and that's all there is to it."
"Well, jeez. You don't gotta be a jerk about it, asshole. It just sounds, well, nice." You lamely supplied, crossing your arms with a frown as Lucci scoffed.
"You believe anybody's words easily, naive idiot. Doesn't mean they're true," Lucci took his hand out his pocket, unlocking his phone to see the time. "Come. The lunch period is almost over so let's go to my office to write up the amount due to owe for the wall."
"Wha—?! Pfft, I ain't paying nothing! And how do you know that your punishment isn't paying the wall damage yourself?!" You pointed animatedly at him, walking together to the door to go back within the school. Lucci glanced down towards you, lips in a smirk.
"If I recall, you didn't even think of my punishment before our fight started."
You bit the inside of your lip, finger going down as you scoffed and looked away with crossed arms.
"I was going to get to your punishment later," You lamely supplied. A thought than entering your mind as Lucci held the door for you. "Say, if you won, what were you going to ask to be your reward and my punishment?"
Lucci's eyes glimmered, him smiling wide with teeth flashing at you. He lowered his head and kissed you once more, wrapping his hand at your waist as he pushed you towards the doorframe. A knee between your legs, pinching your skin of your waist making you open your mouth from the unexpected pain. Your tongues clashed and than Lucci grabbed your bottom lip between his teeth and pulled while nipping it quickly and sharply. You yelped, legs shaking at the attention but his knee by your core kept you up. You mewled at the unexpected but sensational contact of his knee, your (e/c) eyes blown out in pleasure as you felt something hard on your thigh. You looked down in bewilderment, causing you to break the kiss and your face flushed brightly.
Lucci's chest rumbled, and you looked up to see him staring at you in amusement and arrogance. That stupid blasted charming smirk upon his lips.
"Perhaps in our other fight, you'll find out." He breathed, dark eyes looking at yours. An unexplainable heat in both your pupils that will probably never be sated due to your unending fighting spirits and competitiveness.
But fire has always been more exciting anyways.
The door to the roof closed behind both of you, and another one appeared ahead.
