Kid POV

The war raged on, but I couldn't hear any of it. My attention was focused on the dark haired girl trembling in my arms.

"Please...Help me" Misaki's voice faintly whispered and I felt wet droplets hit my arm..

I froze......were those tears!?

The cold streams dripped down her face continuously as I stood there stunned. I had never seen her cry before....What happened to her?

Her grip tightened as she buried her pale face into my fur coat . Burning flesh wafted in the air as her wound began to bleed heavily. Red blood stained my cloak and dripped to the ground. Suddenly, her sobbing ceased. I felt her body stop moving completely.

"OI..." I growled as I shook her slightly "Misaki!..."

She did reply.

She didn't even shift...

Her eyes were sealed shut and her body was limp.

"Hey!..Misaki!" I said in a more frantic tone. I quickly put my ear to her chest and heard a faint thump.

Relief filled my mind.....she only fainted.....but her condition was really bad.

The ground rattled again, causing me to look up. I saw Whitebeard strike the earth with his spear, sending seismic waves towards the Akainu. Akainu tried to futilely block the attack as Whitebeard suddenly flashed in front of him and used his rough hand to pulse another wave of energy straight through Akainu's skull. Everyone else ran away from them as they continued to fight.

Nearby, Luffy was kneeling on the ground, holding a raven haired man.

"Straw Hat.!" I barked.

His head shot up, but his eyes were in a state of panic.

"We have to get out of here!" I shouted over the screams and gunfire that continued around us.

Luffy glanced over and noticed the unconscious Misaki in my arms. A look of realization appeared on his face and his mouth set into a stern line. He nodded and then pulled the other raven guy over his shoulder.

"Let's go." he mumbled in a serious tone complete opposite of his usual childish voice.

That caught me off guard....first Misaki crying, now Luffy is actually serious!!....what the hell had happened to them?

We ran with the other retreating pirates as marines tried to chase after us.

"Repel!" I shouted, sending a cannonball flying towards our chasers.

"Gomu Gomu no Gataling Gun!" screamed Luffy knocking down any others that tried to block us with his rapid firing fists.

We finally reached the ocean, but my ship no where in sight. Damn....those marines must have chased off Killer and the others.

*click*

I whipped back around in time to see a huge mass of marines, guns loaded and aimed, surrounding us from all sides.

Shit....

I could fight them off, but could I protect Misaki at the same time?

"Surrender now!" ordered a well-dressed officer marines as he walked up towards us, "...or we will fire!"

Luffy stood tense, ready to block the attack, and I prepared to deflect any bullets.....we both had injured people...this would be hard.

*SPLASH*

A giant roar of waves sprayed towards the sky. The ocean salt immediately drenched my hair.....

and then I heard that bastard's voice.

"Oi...Eustass-ya," Law amusingly called from the deck of his surfaced submarine. " Need help?"

I was about to shout a retort back, but then I remembered Misaki. Her breathing was getting shallower by the second.

My eyes flashed towards Law's and I realized he was also staring at Misaki. His face in an slight frown as his arms gripped the side rail.

He swiftly lifted a tattooed hand, "Room!.....Shambles!"

In a flash, Misaki was gone from my arms and in Law's. I growled, but Law just casually turned away from me.

"You can get on Eustass-ya...." Law called over his shoulders. "...You too Straw hat-ya" Then he carried Misaki into the Submarine.

We immediately jumped onto his ship, Luffy lifting the other unconscious man on as well.

"STOP THEM!."screamed the officer."FIRE AT WILL!" . Gun shots went off as I quickly ducked inside. The submarine began to sink under the waves as rapid bullets descended, clanking loudly like rain droplets as they hit the sides.

I had just relaxed a bit when suddenly the entire ship jolted to the side.

"WHOooa!" screamed Luffy in surprise as he fell to the ground. I gripped a rail to keep upright, and Law gave an irritated growl as he peered out of the porthole.

Particles of ice start to crawl over the window.

Aokiji

That bastard must be trying to freeze the sea!

*BAM*

The submarine shook violently again as a blinding stream of light pierced through the top, barely missing me.

Kizaru!

This is bad...both admirals were after the ship.

Law had set down Misaki on an operating table. He was attaching various metal tubes into her arm, and an oxygen mask covered her face, a single faint monitor beeped in the background.

Then a white polar bear ran in "Captain!" He Screamed , "The Admirals are attacking again!"

The ship jolted sharply right after he said that , sending people and objects flying. Medical machinery crashed into each other, and Misaki was almost thrown off of the table.

"Can't you make this piece of junk go faster?!" I growled at Law.

Law turned to reply, but then another stream of light crashed through the hull.

*BANG*

The light beam struck the ships engine causing it to explode on impact.

The result was pure chaos.

Water rushed in like a torrent, and the walls started to crumple from the pressure of the sea.

"We're sinking!" shouted a voice.

The sea immediately made me feel weaker.

Suddenley, I felt the force of the waves drag me down and out towards the ocean. I couldn't see anything, and I couldn't move either.

Damn you devil fruit.

My lungs began to burn as the need for oxygen became apparent.

As my eyes slowly began to focus again, I saw Law, Luffy, and that other guy all in the same position. We were all devil fruit users...

I darted around, desperately looking for Misaki as well. Her limp body floated a little further away from all of us, and I tried to swim over,...but it didn't work.

I could only watch as the darkness of the ocean consumed us....

Is this really it?

Misaki POV

It's felt wet...and....salty...

My eyes flashed open and I took in a frantic breathe. Murky water entered my mouth, surprising me.

What's going on?!Is this a dream?

I scanned the area, eyes wide, and saw Kid, Luffy, Ace and Law? All four of them were sinking to the ocean floor.

Wait...we're in the ocean?!

My unique devil fruit was the only reason I had not followed them.

A sharp pain entered my mind as my stomach burned. The water near me was slowly turning red but that was the least of my worries right now.

They're all going to drown if I don't do something.

I tightened my jaw,ignoring the pain.and shot downward towards my sinking friends.

My right arm wrapped around Luffy and Ace , and Law and Kid were in my left.

As I forced my way up to the surface, excruciating pain rippled through my body, "Keep going...." I repeated over and over, constantly looking up at the light above us.

*Splash*

My face broke through the surface of the water. And four other unconscious heads followed. Marineford was nowhere in sight.

I let out a few weary breathes as I gathered my thoughts.Land...I need to find land.

I chose a random direction and pushed the water around me. My head thumped wildly in my skull, and exhaustion screamed from every muscle....but I slowly kept go,ng, dragging my heavy load behind me. ...

Finally a small island appeared in the distance.

New hope filled me as I approached the sandy beach of this miraculous island. My heart felt like it would give out at any second.

I trudged onto the beautiful sand, dragging the four bodies behind me. My grip loosened only when the ocean waves were far away from us.

Safe....

Then my legs buckled. I felt the air blow through my hair as I fell forward. My arms flying limply behind, too tired to even catch myself.

*thump*

My face hit the sand hard as my mind shut down.
