I decided I was having the worst day of my life right now.


I was crammed into a miniature cage, my feet and arms bound with heavy chains that vengefully bit into my skin. The Kid pirates had gathered on deck around me and were staring at me as if I were an exotic animal on display


" uhhh.....Captain Kid?" asked a man with ruffled blonde hair , " What is that?" he pointed his clawed hand directly at me.


Wait....Did he just call me a that! I clenched my teeth. When I get out of this cage, I'm going to punched him across the entire North Blue!


I think Kid noticed my disdain, " That, Killer, is a girl."he said with a grin on his face as he leaned arrogantly against the wall of the ship. He smugly watched me with blood red eyes, waiting for a reaction.


I just gave a small smile, "Hows your face healing Kid?" I asked in a innocent tone.


A scowl appeared on Kid's pale face as he unconsciously touched a massive blotched bruise on the right side of his face.


"Captain....what did happened to your face?" asked Killer with curiosity as he noticed Kid's action.


A fierce rage seemed to fester in Kid's eyes, "Shut the hell up..." He growled to killer. Both Killer and the rest of the crew took a wary step back from Kid, as if he were a time bomb that could go off any second.


I just smiled wider as I reminisced on what had happened.



<flashback>



The metal bonds severed the blood flow to my hands, turning them a sickly purple shade. Kid chuckled sadistically at the sight.


He pulled out a gleaming knife from the side pocket of his dark cape. " I don't like Rats," he stated as he came closer. I struggled against the bonds to no avail.


Kid put his pale face right in front of mine. I felt his warm breath on my cheeks, as his sharp canine like teeth shined brightly in his malicious smile. Shivers ran down my entire body from the kiss of a cold blade on my bare neck.


" What are you gonna do now?.... Rat." he teased as he pressed harder. The blade stung fiercely as it started to slice through my skin.

I turned my face to him, my own icy gaze piercing straight into his fire-red eyes. Kid tensed, he wasn't expecting helpless prey to stare him down.


His grip on the knife loosened for a second. I grinned,.... wrong choice Kid....Then I head-butted him as hard as I could.


Kid fell back from the force, landing on the ground in a heap. I tried to shake of the aftershock as quickly as I could. I swear that I still saw stars in my vision.....


What was his head made of? Concrete? ....Probably....


As Kid fell back, I felt the metal bonds give way slightly. I yanked hard and my hands came free....Yes!


I pulled away from the wall and grab the nearest object as a weapon. It was a simple wooden stick.....well it'll have to do since my power is still 'out of commision'.


Kid growled loudly " You're Dead" he said with determination as he forced himself up,


He moved his hands and metal scraps from around the room flew towards him from a strong attraction. They came together and formed a giant spiked ball.


Kid was grinning wickedly as he threw the ball of death with all his power. I swung my body to one side,barely dodging the mass. As I hit the ground, I felt massive tremors. Looking up, I saw that a perfect hole in the ground had appeared at the place that I had been standing.

*gulp* That would have been bad. I need to finish him before he sent another attack like that..


I raced up to him with my wooden stick and brought it down on his face.

CRASH!

Wood met metal as we glared at each other, each trying to force the other to give in. I saw cracks start to form on the stick. They slowly creeped across the surface as Kid pushed harder. Damnit! If I didn't do something, it would break and I'd be weaponless.



I quickly let go and kicked Kid where it hurt. Kid face twisted in pain for a moment. Wasn't expecting that huh?

While he was distracted I whacked him with my weakened stick. It immediately shattered, but the force was enough to send Kid flying. He crashed into the wall and slumped down, knocked out cold. I didn't stay to check if he was alive. I knew he was, and when he woke up, He'd definentely try to kill me.



I sprinted out of the room and rushed up the twisted stairs to the top of the deck. The breeze blew across my face as I raced across the empty deck. Gripping the railing, I looked around and saw nothing but ocean.


Shit!...Can't escape....


At that moment, Metal surrounded my ankle, crushing bone in its coarse grip. I cried out in pain as I lost feeling in my foot.


Kid appeared, furious, from the entrance of the ship. He already had a nice bruise staining his face.


I would have laughed at how ridiculous he looked, but the tightened bonds just made it hard. More and more metallic pieces snaked up my leg, squeezing the life out of me. The darkness sprinkled my vision as the iron shards constricted my upper body, and slithered up towards my face. I shivered at the feeling of the icy covering.


"You ...Bastard! .."I thought angrily as I gazed at a triumphant looking Kid, "I'm... gonna ....Kill........yo-..! "Then the light cut off completely as the world around me disappeared from my sight.

" Stop smiling!" screamed Kid as he slammed his fist down for emphasis. That made me grin even more. I mean, why wouldn't I? First of all, I wasn't dead, and seconds Kid was ticked off . That's some pretty good reasons to be happy.



I felt a claw tap my cage lightly " So why'd you tie up a girl and put her in a here, Kid?" asked the masked man, Killer, as he examined me past the barred wall.


" She's dangerous," Kid replied curtly.


" Awwww thanks Kid, I'm flattered," I sarcastically said in a flattered tone.


The other pirates turned to their flame-haired captain, expecting him to quickly end the rude girl's life, but Kid just stood there with an annoyed look on his face.


" Shut up, girl." he finally muttered.


" Are you alright Kid?" asked a concerned Killer as he stared at the strange girl in the cage.


" I'm fine," insisted Kid, " Anyway, this girl is our prisoner, we're gonna turn her in for her bounty." he added as he motioned to me.


A jolt of uncontrolled fear flashed through my heart at the mention of being sold, but I kept my face emotionless.


No way in hell am I getting sold.....I'd rather die.


My brow furrowed as I wracked my brain for a plan. I obsereved Kid's ragged crew, searching for a weakness. Most of them wore expressions of ....surprise?... That's strange.... No one talked at all, leaving the ship in an unnerving silence.



Suddenly my stomach growled...... ugh....


"I think she's hungry, Kid." said Killer with a hint of amusement in his voice.


No really?


" You handle it then" said Kid, Loosening the metal bonds around my arms and feet. Then he turned around and headed back to his room.

Killer placed a bowl of yellow mush into my cage and then sat down with his bowl of mush.

I wrinkled my nose, what is this crap?! Is he trying to poison me?

Killer saw my look of disgust, and laughed behind his mask.

"Sorry, none of us really know how to cook, this is the best you're gonna get."

I take one last look as the mush, I swear it moved, then I ate it in one gulp......blekkk!!......well, at least I was full....

Killer laughed again and I glared at him.

Then he placed his uneaten bowl down and turned to me. I didn't like his staring, it made me feel uncomfortable, and you couldn't tell where he was looking from behind his mask.


"What did you do to Kid?" he finally asked.

I looked at him confused," what are you talking about? Shouldn't you be asking what Kid did to Me!"


Killer shook his head," Nope...you definentley did something to make him act so nice to you...."

Nice? This was nice?!

"If it were anyone else, he probably would have killed them" Killer muttered almost to himself"....and he definentely doesn't care about bounties no matter how high yours is."


This confused me even more...

"Who are you?" asked Killer.

Who am i?

"I don't really know," I replied slowly," My name is Misaki Ryuto.. And that's all I can tell you....."


My eyes got darker as it remembered my past, I frowned as old scars started acting up again.


Killer noticed my change, but didn't comment. Instead he looked out at the sea.


"The One Piece," he finally said as he watched me closely," Are you searching for it as well?"


I shook my head," I have no need for such petty things, but then again.....it has crossed my mind."


The One Piece, whomever finds it shall have wealth, fame, and power...


Killer seemed shocked at my answer but didn't say anything. We just sat there staring out at the calm sea.


I soon drifted to sleep from the calm rocking of the ship.

SLASH* BAM*


My eyes flashed open as I heard the turmoil. I rubbed my eyes tiredly as I gazed past the barred cage.


Killer was gone and the ship was swarming with Marines in white uniforms.


"Capture and kill the Kid Pirates!" shouted the one in charge.


Marines raised there swords and charged with a battle cry.

I saw uniformed soldiers fly everywhere as Killer suddenly bursted through the mass. His twin blades were coated in fresh blood. The other Kid pirates were just as ruthless.



Kid was right in the middle of the fight. Any unlucky Marine that was stupid enough to charge him met his death with his own metal sword.


I felt movement next to my cage and turned to see a young Marine fumbling with the lock.

"Don't worry little girl, the Marines are here to help!" the lock came undone as he spoke.

He smiled in relief, but his smile soon froze when he felt his own sword stab him........my arm holding it.

Kid may be an annoying brat, but the Marines.....I Hated them...

Beside, any sane person could tell that the Kid Pirates would win.


I crawl out of the cage and stretch as best as i could....ugh.... ...it feels so good to get out of that cramped cage. I grabbed the fallen Marine's blade more tightly and run into the mess of the fight.


I ran straight for the commander.....take out the biggest first....he was barking out orders to his men. His eyes widened as i charge him and my blade swiftly fell upon him. His body crumpled to the ground. The death was quick and painless.


The surrounding Marines saw their commander fall and froze.


"Retreat!" shout one of them...he must be second in charge.


A few remaining Marines ran for their ship, but many continued to lie on the deck, dead.


Kid sneered and them picked up a huge metal pipe, He threw it at the Marine's ship and the ship exploded into pieces. The aftershock rocked our ship and caused me to fall over.


Killer caught me before I hit the ground and I quickly jumped out of his grasp.


The next thing I know, I'm pinned to the floor with metal scraps. Deja vu?


"What are you planning," asked Kid suspiciously as he walked in front of me.


"Misaki was helping us." said Killer in my defense. I growled, I don't need anyone defending me...


Kid ignored him," Why did you help us you Rat."


"Don't get me wrong," I replied smoothly ,"I definentley think you're a bastard and all..." Kid tightened the metal scraps. I kept on a stone face, not even flinching, " But I hate those Marines more...."


"Why?" asked Killer.


"Why not?" I challenged back. I have my reasons....


The metal scraps released me and I rubbed my newly scrapped hands. Kid picked me up as if I were a kitten, and started carrying me.


"Where are you taking me!" I complained trying to squirm out of his grasp.


"To the brig....where you will be staying."


"The brig?! Kid -!" shouted Killer.


Kid glared at Killer and Killer immediately shut his mouth.


I was carried down several flights of stairs, into the darkest part of the ship. Kid threw me into a cold empty room and encircled my arms with chains. He stood in the doorway, a shadow in the dim light. I saw him smirk as he slammed the iron door shut, leaving me in complete darkness.
