Misaki POV



The sun peeked over the horizon of the calm sea, illuminating the broken foundation of Marineford. My eyes immediately found the immense monument that held Whitebeard's cape and staff proudly in the air.



But I didn't focus on it too long, instead walking to the smaller tombstone next to it.

I kneeled down in front of the smooth stone with its single rapier and golden chain embedded in it.



My fingers lightly brushed against the stone, tracing the edges.



I sighed as nostalgic memories filled my mind. It seemed that in every flashback,the golden eyed boy always found a way to appear when I needed help the most.

In the caged cell.....in prison...even at my execution...



but now he's gone.



"I didn't really know you that well, Daemon." I mumbled with sadness as I thought about his loud cheerful voice, his friendly smile, and carefree spirit.



"But you would have made a great captain" I said firmly trying to smile through the thin tears that were streaming down my face.



I felt a gentle hand rest on my shoulder.



Ace stood there, bending down next to me. His eyes were puffed and bloodshot from mourning Whitebeard, but he still tried to give me a comforting look, " The marines will be here soon." He said in a quiet voice." I'm leaving with my crew now."



"You're going already?" I asked with surprise as I wiped my face as dry as I could.



Ace nodded solemnly," Whitebeard is ....dead" He finally said. It seemed to take him everything to admit that truth.



"The New World will be in chaos, and all the land that he held will be up for grabs." Ace added as he straightened up, "So I'm going to go whack some sense into those people and show them that the Whitebeard pirates are not gone...for Pops sake."



I gave a small smiled as Ace tipped his orange hat towards me. "I guess I'll see you later....in the New World, Misaki?" he asked as he turned away towards the ocean.

"Definentely." I replied back.



Ace raised his hand, giving me a backhand wave, "I'll leave it to you to tell Luffy that I left," he said with a smirk on his face and his tattooed back facing me, "He won't take it too well, but he'll get over it."



And with that, Ace walked away. I watched as his hat disappeared among the rubble heading towards the ship.



My own head turned back to the monument taking a final look at it.

I felt a warm breeze brush against the cheek as I stared at the rapier gleaming brightly in the sunlight, "For what it's worth, I'll make you proud too, captain." I vowed with a small salute.

Then I headed towards Kid's ship.

Luffy POV



"She's taking a long time." I heard Kid growl as he stood at the side of the ship, his eyes focused on Marineford."You don't think that stupid girl got captured?"



"No way!" I shouted back, as I hung loosely off the stern, my head upside down, staring at the waves that gently rocked the ship. "Misaki is strong...." I added.



"Even the strongest can fall, Straw Hat-ya." Law spoke, eyes closed, from his relaxed seat, leaning against the side support. "Take Whitebeard for example."

A silence seemed to linger in the air as we took in Law's words.



"Maybe we should go check on her." Kid added in a low voice as he prepared to jump off the side.



I shook my head, my straw hat almost falling off at the force of my shakes, " Wait....Stooop Kid.." I called out in a loud voice.



Kid turned to me with a raised eyebrow.



I swung myself back onto the wooden deck, my sandled feet making a small thump as they made contact with the floor. "Misaki told us to stay, " I said ,crossing my arms, "She wanted to be alone while saying her goodbye."

Kid scowled, "But what if she's being attacked right now!" he argued with a raised voice, "The Marines could have already surrounded her and kil-"



"Then I would have already left to save her , "I interrupted Kid as I sent an intense gaze at him. "But right now, she's isn't in any danger..."



Both Kid and Law seemed surprised at my response ...



"Straw hat-ya....how can you tell?" asked Law, one of his eyes now opened and watching me.



I rubbed my hand through my ruffled hair as I thought hard about the question.

But thinking so hard always hurt my head ..... "I have no idea," I finally replied with a shrug , "I just can."

Kid and Law brushed off the reply, but their question continued to bug me ..how did I know?

Usually I just think about meat and the One Piece, but now thoughts of Misaki always kept popping up...her bright smile, gentle laugh.....sea-green eyes that flowed with lif-



I shook my head wildly to snap myself out of my day dream.

Then I turned on my heel and rushed, wide-eyed, towards the inner part of Kid's ship.



"Where are you going, Straw Hat-ya?" asked Law with a hint of curiosity in his voice.



"To find some meat!" I replied back frantically, "I feel weird inside and I want to see if eating meat will make it go away!"



But before I could reach the doorway, an amused laughter engulfed the ship.



"Fufuuufuufufufu~....." a deep voice chuckled, causing all three of us to tense up. I whipped around towards the noise and immediately spotted a man, covered head to toe in flamboyant pink feathers. He was squatting on top of the outside rail of the second floor of the ship

His short blonde hair framed his tanned smiling face, and he wore large feather-like shades that concealed his eyes.



"Donquixote Doflamingo" I heard Law's calm voice sound as he stood up with a frown on his face, his Nodachi unsheathed and held up.



Doflamingo continued to smile, "Law." he called out as he opened his arms, "Long time, no see...a pity you survived."



"Why are you here." Law questioned coldly, his eyes narrowed and on high alert.

"Doflamingo laughed heartdly, "Don't worry Law, I'll kill you another time, but for now, I have someone else I need to find."

His glasses shifted, surveying each one of us on the ship as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "A certain Demon girl who has been causing a great amount of trouble recently." he added with a knowing smirk.



I clenched my fists. I don't know who the hell this guy is but if he's talking about Misaki, I will destroy him.



Apparently Kid was thinking the same thing, because his red-Hair flashed past me before I could even blink.



*BANG*



Kid's metallic arm came into contact with Doflamingo's long leg. The noise vibrated cleanly through the air.The elaborately dressed man didn't even cringe at the sharp shards of steel.



"Fufffuufufuu......he laughed psychotically "I guess you'll be the first one." he added in a calm,even voice.

"What are you talking about." Kid growled as he pushed harder with his metallic arm. The air screeched from the immense strain on the metal.

Doflamingo just lifted his own arm, spreading his manicured fingers wide.

"Parasite!" He shouted in a booming voice.

I felt a wave of energy burst from the ends of his fingers as he gave another loud laugh.



Kid's eyes widened for some reason, and then he dropped his metallic arm loosely to his side.

"Eustass-ya?" Law called suspiciously from his position.



Kid slowly turned towards Law.



*CRASH*



A fusillade of metal streamed towards Law at the speed of light. He barely had time to duck down before the giant shard whizzed past him, exploding the wall of the ship and sending wooden planks flying..



"Kid!" I shouted I surprise, "what are you doing?"



"ITS NOT ME!" Kid shouted back, before his mouth was snapped shut by an unknown force. Anger flared in his blood-red eyes.



He unwillingly sent another wave of deadly metallic object straight at me. I leaped away at the last moment, feeling the metal stream past me, missing by mere inches.

"This is your doing." I heard Law say accusingly as he stared at Doflamingo who was watching the whole ordeal with clear amusement.



"Now don't ruin the secret, Law." Doflamingo teased, then he grinned wider as he lifted his other skinny hand.



"Parasite!" he shouted again.



I immediately felt thin invisible strands coil around my arms and legs, "What the hell is this?!" I screamed as the strands melted into my skin.



Suddenly I was kneeling down. Law was by my side, his legs bent as he tried to fight the force that was taking over his body.



Finally he fell down by my side, sweat pouring down his face.



"Fighting against it only wastes energy, ," Doflamingo's sang as he waved his fingers.



My fist raised by itself and hurled itself straight into Law's stomach. Law didn't dodge. Instead he took the blast, full force, crumpling into a ball afterward..



"I didn't do that!" I shouted to Law, "I mean...I did do it, but I didn't control it myself..!!"



"It's fine, Straw-Hat-ya" Law grumbled, before staring straight at Doflamingo with a piercing icy gaze, "This is just a sick game that he pays with his devil fruit."



My other hand barreled into Law's side, silencing him. Then Kid's muscular pale arm appeared from behind and slammed down on Law's head, driving him to the ground, and leaving an indention in the deck.

After a few seconds, Law rose up with trembling hands, a thin line of blood flowing down from his forehead.



"Fufffuufffufuu...." chuckled Doflamingo, "You're wrong Law, " he said as he playfully twirled his finger, "The game's hasn't begun yet."



He paused for a moment as his eyes turned towards the shore.

A familiar jet black haired girl bobbed into view, trudging down the worn path.



Doflamingo's smile widened to the largest yet, stretching from cheek to cheek, "It seems our final game piece has arrived," he stated as he positioned all three of us in a line with a flick of his finger.



"Let's give her a warm welcome." he laughed as he snapped our mouths shut.

No matter what we did and no matter how hard we struggled, the invisible bonds refused to give in.



All we could do was stand there as Doflamingo controlled us.



I heard small footsteps approach. Then a flash of black as Misaki leaped onto the deck.



She gave a warm smile, "Hey guys, sorry it took so long."



I tried to send her a warning gaze with my eyes, but she didn't notice it.



"Fuffuuufufu......" his laughter sliced through the tense air. Misaki looked upward towards the noise in confusion.



At that moment I felt the invisible force push me forward. The more I fought against it, the more it pulled on me, edging me towards her against my will.



Run away... I thought over and over again....turn around and run!



She glanced sideways as she noticed our movement."....guys....?" Was all she managed to get out.



I clenched my own eyes shut as I tried futilely to pull back again. A jolt streemed through my muscles, sending my fist barreling forward.

A nodachi and a metalic arm were by my side also shooting forward. My hand made contact with her small body.

The snapping of several bones reverberated in my head as her deafening scream fill the air.Warm blood sprinkled to the ground.

"Now the game can begin." Doflamingo chuckled.

So this will be the final "arc" in the story, and based on comments it seems that Luffy is the favorite, though I still have a couple rooting for Law ...

Kid:WAIT!....what about me?!

Me: well maybe if you acted nicer, people would root for you too.

Kid: Psh....nice guys finish last

Luffy: *grins* but I'm winning

Kid: Shut up....Im gonna kill you!!

*starts chasing Luffy*

Luffy: *running* that's why you're losing Kid!

Law: maybe they'll kill each other and i'll win by default..

Me: Lol....Anyway...thanks to everyone for reading this story and getting it to 10K >~< made my day !!!



I also want to thank Nighthunterdeath for the idea with saying goodbye to Daemon, sorry I couldn't add the sake part in though :/
