As (Y/n) stood next to her psychotic mandrill as he continued his maniacal laughter she suddenly overheard this sound coming from behind them. Taking a peak she turned her head back and noticed the Mega Pink Jaguar running at them in full speed.

She then realized that it was Kipo who was able to turn herself and started to panic. She didn't know if that was truly her friend in there or something far worse.

Clinging on to Scarlemagne's coat had him turn his attention towards (Y/n) and looked to see what she was staring at and saw the beast, notifying one of his noblemen to distract it.

The last thing (Y/n) saw as the images of their appearance get smaller and smaller was the nobleman falling to the ground and Kipo standing right where he was.

(Y/n) faced back around and held onto her chest. She didn't want to believe that Kipo would do anything to harm anyone. In silence she prayed for her as she and Scarlemagne begin to arrive at their palace, continuing to prepare for their coronations.

(Emilia's POV)

Finally we took one of his nobles down.

Now all that's left is this Jaguar to handle...

Hiding behind the trees I succeeded in avoiding it for a few seconds before they were able to find me. I quickly moved out of the way and shot a couple of my sleep darts at it only to miss.

I suddenly sensed something behind me as I swiftly turned to avoid getting hit by a..

Girl in a wolf cloak..?

Dear god...this world has gotten worse.

I was too distracted to notice she knocked my crossbow out of my hands "Don't even think about it." She said to me with a scowl. I stared at her in confusion as another kid approached the Mega Jaguar. I yelled out to them "Hey! Backpack! Don't go near that thing, it's dangerous."

Why are they not running away from this mute..?

I gasped as another pair of mutes emerge from the bushes next to me as they walk up next to the kids. The kid with the backpack suddenly speaks out "Kipo..." and my eyes immediately widened out of shock.

I can't believe it's actually HER..

After all these years I never thought I'd actually find her..

Just then one of my crew aimed his crossbow at her which wasn't such a good idea because now she's pouncing on everyone, making sure she got her point about anyone trying to mess with her.

Hidden in the trees I observe as the boy with the backpack kept showing her a picture to which it actually worked. The girl known as Kipo returned to her normal self as a human as her "friends" gathered around her.

I walk up behind them as my two crew stood next to me as I stared at the girl who was the answer to fixing this damn planet. The problem I worked on my whole life to solve was right in front of me.

"Finally."

Greta and Zane took off their masks "Wait. Does that mean she's the girl who-" "Yes, Greta." My eyes revert to her side "Shut it, and follow my lead." I said sternly yet quietly as I began walking up to them. Making my voice sound gentle and concerning I ask her "So, you're Kipo? Are you OK?"

It's frightening how good I am at this..

The smaller girl held up her pointy-stick thingy at me "How do you know her name?" I smirked at her "Everyone in Las Vistas is talking about the famous Mute-human hybrid. And I listened."

This was so easy

The girl seemed to still have doubts as she kept that glare of hers on me. "If you knew who she was, then why did you shoot her?" I chuckled at her "Yeah. Sorry about that, kid." I lowered her stick "But, you know she was a giant, roaring jaguar a few minutes ago."

Too easy...

"Anyway, Introductions: I'm Dr. Emilia, and that's Zane and Greta." I gestured to the two of them as Kipo spoke out "Nice to meet you! That's Wolf, that's Benson, this is Dave, and-" The one known as "Wolf" interrupted her as she silently whispered to stop introducing them to strangers.

I seem to think she's the one with the potential skills.

Better be weary of her...

"And that's Mandu." I couldn't care less about the two other mutes so, with a relaxing composure I told them "Well, I'm glad we ran into you. If you're fighting Scarlemagne, we're on the same side."

Speaking of that monkey..

I wonder if these kids know about HER too...

Zane continued after me "We're part of the human resistance. We're gonna take down Scarlemagne." Kipo's eyes lit up "There's a human resistance? That's so cool! What's it called?" I looked away and back at her in confusion "The...human resistance."

This girl is a bit....dense.

I gestured the knocked out human I shot at to them "Once his mind control wears off, we can get information about Scarlemagne." The backpack kid stepped in "That's great. But you won't need to, because we got a plan of our own. We've got a jaguar hero to train!"

After he placed his arm around Kipo we all heard a crack as he winced in pain holding onto his shoulder. "Ooh, that looks like a dislocated shoulder. Why don't you follow us back to HQ. We'll set it back into place." I said concerningly and I turn to face Kipo with a smile.

"There's even a field for you to train in, jaguar hero." She brightened up after that "Really? That sounds-" "Give us a minute." The Wolf girl suddenly said as their group moved away from us to discuss.

The three of us stared at them in silence before Greta shouts in a whisper "Knew it! That is her!" Zane asks me as we turn to face him "What's our game? We've been hunting that girl for 13 years. And now we're just going to bring her back to our headquarters."

I made sure to keep my voice low as I explain it to him "The new plan is to use her as a weapon." I lowered my eyebrows "And then destroy the weapon." I then look to the side "I just hope she's still not alive.." Greta tilted her head at me in confusion.

"Who are you referring to exact...ooh, wait! Are you talking  about that one girl who ran off with Scarlemagne? The one you said you injected her with that...whatzamacallit?" I placed a hand on my forehead as a heavy sigh escaped my lips.

"Yes, Greta that's correct." Zane turned to me "What's so important about her?" I give him a serious look "If we find out that brat is still living and has somehow crossed paths with Kipo we're in deep trouble." Both Greta and Zane looked at one another and then at me.

"Wait. So, what exactly did you inject her with..?" Zane asked uncertainly and I replied "I used the DNA of a Black-headed spider monkey." Crossing my arms I looked away but only to later  give a regretful frown as I finished "....and I might've added a tiny bit of DNA of an actual spider."

They both gave me an "Are you serious?!" look and I had to signal them that Kipo and her friends were already coming back.

I may gone a little overboard with the DNA thing, but I couldn't let her off the hook knowing she might expose me in the future.

I did what I had to do.

Kipo and her friends approached us as she spoke aloud "After a lengthy discussion, we've decided to come. But we can't stay long. Because....we can't." I return a welcoming smile and nodded as our group guided them to our headquarters.

I begin to reminisce back to 13 years ago that changed everything...

(13 years ago..)

We all gathered outside of Oak's room as I continuously knock on their door waiting for them to answer. Moments later Song finally answered as the door slid open to reveal her. "Finally." I said as she had a sorrowful look on her face.

"Emilia. What brings you here?" She attempted a fake smile as she hid her arms behind her. I placed my hands on my hips as I give her a stern look "You've been lying. You KNOW how to isolate the mutagen."

I then noticed she still had her hands behind her back so I took them out and gasped only to see them covered with fur. "Oh, Song. What have you done to yourself? Did you do this to your baby?"

My eyebrows furrowed "No wonder you've been hiding her. You've made her one of them." She lets go of herself as she spoke determinedly "OK, first of all, my baby is perfect. Second, she's the future. She's the reason we will live on the surface without destroying mutes."

I stare at her in disappointment "You've betrayed our mission. Both you and Lio contaminated humanity. Your half-mute experiment can't be aloud to exist." I stood there in silence as another thought came to me.

"And considering how much (Y/n) has spent with you two, I have no doubt she's in on it as well. I'll have to do something for both of them.."

Song pointed her finger at me "No! You'll never get to them!" I scowled at her and determinedly replied "Watch me." The rest of my crew attempted to restrain her, but she pushed them off only to accidentally fall off the balcony.

We suddenly rushed over the edge to see what happened as we gasped to see a huge hand tower over us as we stepped back to get a full view of what used to be Song was now Mega Monkey. She roared at all of us as I stood there, unable to get a hold of the event that had just happened.

(Present time)

I was able to fix the kid's shoulder as he thanked me wholeheartedly while he and Kipo were discussing matters I didn't care for. "Dr. Emilia, want to give us a tour?" He asked me as I smile proudly walking to the curtains "You read my mind. Welcome to the human resistance."

Revealing to them our base as they stopped in front of our map set up of our entire surroundings of around our base. Kipo looked impressed by the blueprints we had and turned to me "You must have a really great plan."

I guide them away as I begin explaining them about our location. "These sewer tunnels connect HQ to Aurum. We'll break the humans out, and bring them here." The small kid spoke up "How? Aren't you afraid that Scarlemagne will mind control you?"

I then stop in front of our giant containing cube "Not once we get him into this. It's completely pheromone proof." Kipo seemed impressed yet again until one of the little mutes was curious about one of my inventions. They wanted to turn it on and I warned them.

Being the dumb mutes they are the sonic emitter had them cower and shake uncontrollably from the frequency as I explained it to Kipo and them. "Our plan is to use it on Scarlemagne with any other mute who comes across us. And then, he won't have time to pheromone us before we get him in the box."

I walk over to turn off the sonic emitter and then towards the masked man "When our friend wakes up from that awful mind control, we'll get the intel to finalize our plan." I took his mask off only to hear from Kipo and the backpack kid that they recognized him.

"He'll wake up soon. Someone apologize for shooting him out of the sky, and give him a hot cocoa." I turn to Kipo "You and me, we're going outside to start training." We headed outside as I got my crossbow ready and aimed at her.

She seemed to have trouble transforming so I decided to up the stakes by having a crossbow with real ammo. Sucks to say, but even (Y/n) was a better trainee than Kipo. But they did have different motives so, I can't complain.

The backpack kid offered to talk to her first to see what was going on and I agreed. Letting them have their alone time I walk off only to get a call from Greta and Zane that the brainwashed person known as Roberto woke up and is now giving them the details of what he knows about Scarlemagne's coronation.

With failing to get Kipo to turn Mega and train we decided to call it a day and headed back. But just as we were settling a loud crash was heard and from the clouded debris were these two flying mutes.

Startled with their sudden appearance they seemed to calmly apologize and mention about hearing an alien communicator..? Then they begin mimicking what's supposed to be how it sounds which is really irritating.

They begin searching the place causing destruction to my property and I shouted as I aimed my crossbow "Somebody shoot those flying rats!" Everyone began shooting them down, but the mutes kept looking for their stupid device terrorizing my crew along the way.

Kipo attempted to stop them, but failing at turning into the Mega she wasn't able to stop them as they began toying with her now. It seemed that backpack kid knew them and somehow got them to take him away.

My concern right now was to make sure no casualties were taken. "Is everyone OK?" I asked as I helped Zane up from the ground. I heard a sudden cry "No! They took Benson! MY Benson!" The little bug mute had cried out as Kipo added "We have to go after them!"

I questioned her "How? We don't know where they went." I walk up to them "That sonic emitter was our best hope for defeating Scarlemagne." The bug shouted out again "Who cares about the stupid emitter? Benson!" He continued to wail on and on about his friend.

It was a bit sad at first and now it's just pathetic. Kipo had gone on ahead to find both the kid and hopefully our sonic emitter. While she did that I focused on clearing up our place. I had everyone gather all the arrows and broken things, disposing them in our garbage.

An hour or so passed by and we all heard a rumble coming from outside as we ran out to see kipo and the kid make it back safely.

Including MY emitter.

The kid turned to us "Kipo saved me. Just like I knew she would. And, no one got hurt." I walk up to him "Except the bats, right?" "Nope. No one!" He said proudly turning to Kipo.

Hm. That's a shame.

"I'm totally in control of my jaguar side. So, now I can fight Scarlemagne, without hurting any humans." Kipo said confidently and I give a surprised expression "Scarlemagne?  No. That's what the emitter's for." I pointed at it and then at her "I need you to take down the Mega Monkey."

Kipo looked lost "The...Mega Monkey?" I walked right up to her "Scarlemagne has it under his control. You're the only one who can stop it." I placed a hand on her shoulder "Don't let us down." I walked back as the kid handed me the emitter.

Now that I have the emitter back and with Kipo finally having control my plan is now set in motion.

Prepare yourself, Scarlemagne...

(Kipo's POV)

I sat there in my thoughts as Wolf sat in front of me "What's wrong?" I stared at her "This whole time I thought I was training to save my mom, but I might have to fight her instead." Looking to Benson who sat next to me as Dave did the same.

"Maybe there's another way." He said as  my face lightened up.

I covered up Mandu with a blanket "We'll be back in a few hours. If anybody asks, I'm asleep." With that I took the water container Mandu gave me and ran into the tunnels with Roberto.

As we walked for a while I thought out loud "These tunnels seemed a lot shorter on the blueprints." We both stopped in front of a ladder that led up to the surface near Aurum. Roberto looked up "OK, he should be keeping her right up there."

I turn to him "Thanks, Roberto." I started climbing up the ladder and pushed out the manhole cover to the side as I got out. I walked through the woods for a few seconds before I gasped seeing my mom tied up to a big tree asleep.

I walk up to her sleeping self, she looked so sad and distraught. I glanced at my bottle and then back at her as I moved forward and climbed onto her knees.

"Hi mom." I said as I watched her slowly open her eyes and look down at me with those big autumn eyes of hers. "It's really you, isn't it?" I spoke softly at her as tears began to spill from her eyes as she leaned her head down as I embraced her lovingly.

Wiping my tears I opened the bottle as I stared at it "You look like you need this." I held it up for her as she drank it all. Putting it away I looked at her happily as I got my claws out "Let's get you out of here."

All of a sudden a flamingo grabs me and flies off into the sky away from my mother as she roared. The flamingo then let go and I landed on the ground harshly only to hear someone approach me. I look up only to find the one and only...

Scarlemagne.

"Well, isn't this my lucky night? You must be Kipo, the elusive burrow girl." I got in my stance as I was ready to defend myself only for him to interrupt.
"Careful, you wouldn't want to hurt dear old Daddy! And you certainly wouldn't want your friend to see you commit such an act..!"

He stepped aside to reveal my dad who was brainwashed pull out his sword as he aimed it at me. Next to him was..

"Dad? (Y/n)..?" I revert my arms back and stood there speechless as I watched her make her way over to Scarlemagne as she locked arms with him. Her face told differently when she locked eyes with me.

They seemed...sad.

"I believe this calls for a feast!" Scarlemagne yelled as he laughed maniacally while his noblemen guided me to his palace.

I walked alongside (Y/n) who walked alongside Scarlemagne and whispered in her ear "This is crazy! How are you coping with this? Are you OK? Is there anything I should know now or in the future?"

The only thing she did was locked eyes with me, not even turning her head as she whispered only three words.

"We'll talk later.."
