a story of five students making a world for them to belong to

It all started in 1935. A teen with powerful abilities was discovered in Brooklyn, NY. His name was Maxwell Punct, and his ability was categorized as strength. He was recorded as being able to lift over 50 tons. In 1939, the US military approached Punct asking him to assist them with the growing violence in Europe. Punct agreed, citing himself as a patriot. 

Punct assisted in many WW2 missions but unfortunately passed on the battlefield in October of 1941. 

From then on, people with powers have popped up globally. There was an invisible woman in Prague, a child born with pink skin in Dusseldorf, and a teen with perfect control over electrical currents in Korea. Usually, people with powers kept a low profile. Many of them found community with other powered people. 

In 1982, a boom of heroics and villainy began to emerge with people using their abilities for crime and those emerging to keep them at bay. 

Prominent heroes in history include Harmony, Jaeger, and Violetta. 

In 2012, a hero rose to immense fame in the USA. Titan, a hero with abilities that seem to be electric in nature, began watching over the city of New York. Titan worked very much in secret and all accounts are firsthand or secondhand. None of the accounts can be verified and it is impossible to find electronic proof of the hero's existence. The only video of Titan is a self-filmed manifesto posted on the social media site, YouTube. 

In September 2017, a large campus in Upstate New York opened as a school for powered people and a safe haven for individuals with abilities. This school is registered with the US Board of Education and is also registered as a political haven by the Department of Homeland Security as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This school is not known to the public and is considered to be the US government's best-kept secret. 

It is unknown how students with abilities find the school.

Many of the students have exceptional and valiant powers, and they use their larger-than-life abilities to become heroes in the world.

Some students have abilities that are more, let's say, low-key. 

These are the ones we will focus on. 

These are the ones whose stories need to be told.

 Wattpad is actively shitting itself as I am posting this so this isn't exactly in the format I would have wanted but I am so incredibly obsessed with this story and would love to hear what yall are thinking !!! 

this story is super powerful to me, not just because it's about people with powers but because it's about people finding their people and making their own communities when they feel as if they don't have one. 

I would love to hear what you all think of this, essentially, prologue. Please please please drop a comment on your thoughts on this world or the themes of the story! I would love to hear it !!!
