THE INITIAL PLAN was simple; or at least it was supposed to be. Honey traps were your thing, you were the best out of your entire team in capturing the hearts of filthy rich men whose lives depended on nothing more than disgusting acts of indecency and misconduct to keep their names relevant. You hated the act, it was gross. You hated their behavior, but you loved how you could escape before they could even think about laying their hands on you.

Step one was to plan an 'unintentional' meeting with Itoshi Sae. To which was the easiest part of the entire layout. Eventually you have him wrapped around your finger, you would be his girlfriend.

Then, if things go well, you would accompany him as his plus one to a very important gala where all soccer stars under the JFU would attend. There would you sneak into a secret vault to steal their beloved documents of every move ever played, every file; everything. From there, you and the rest of your little group would sell this information and profit from it.

Simple.

"Is this seat taken?" Your lips curled into a cunning smile as the man with mahogany hair shook his head no, sipping on his glass on whiskey. You were in awe of how empty this bar was, it was quite underground. It amazed you how your coworkers could even find the exact location of where Itoshi Sae would even be.

Itoshi Sae was the best way for you to get into the JFU in the first place. He was a quiet man with a sharp tongue. His ties to the upper hand was better than anyone else under the union. Though he had an extremely rough exterior, you fully believed that you could somehow squeeze yourself into his almost decayed heart.

"So," elongating your o's as you flagged the bartender, "you normally come here?" It was a stupid question, not your best when it came to conjuring up small talk. But Sae was not one to talk anyway, not to a stranger at least.

Sae gave a quick glance to you, seemingly analyzing your features while his eyes remained emotionless and blank. "I guess."

An excellent start to the night.

You studied his structure. Shoulders broad yet caved in as he rested his cheek on the top of his knuckles. Hair almost brown underneath the dim bar lights, it certainly contrasted onto his pale face that hid behind a casted shadow. He was definitely a sight for sore eyes; if only his personality matched his charming appearance.

Once you got your drink of choice, you took a sip before returning to your attempt in wooing over Sae. "I totally forgot to introduce myself! My name is [L/N] [Y/N]." You extended your arm out to shake his hand. He let out a brief sigh and waited a moment before firmly slipping his hand into yours.

"Itoshi Sae."

Sae didn't know why he was talking to you. All he wanted to do was grab a drink before heading home for the night after a long day of working with rookie players. He was exhausted—and slightly irritated from their incompetence, and he wasn't looking for any chit chat bullshit from a stranger.

As the night went on, you were able to get a few more words out of Sae. Not as much as you hoped, but enough to spark a conversation that could actually last. He didn't seem interested from the lack of response. Though his answers seemed thorough and you appreciated his effort.

"Why don't we go back to my place?"

There it was. The words you were waiting for that whole night.

You nodded in agreement with an eager smile, following Sae to his car. He drove to a hotel right off the sidelines of central Tokyo. It was an expensive place, a gated building with a welcoming, almost Hallmark feeling.

He checked into a room and you both went up to the assigned floor. Upon entering the room, you could see the bustling streets of Tokyo catered in all kinds of flashy bright lights through the big open window next to the couch. You could see cars traveling by despite it being the midst of the night, and the people roaming the city. The view was familiar to you yet you couldn't be more mesmerized.

You sat on the king sized bed, hands in your lap as Sae loomed over you. His figure was tall and intimidating, but you weren't scared. You knew what the plan was and you knew that under no circumstance could you mess this up. This was the biggest con of the year.

Sae cupped the slope of your jaw with his palm, bending down to match your height. His fingertips were calloused though seemed well taken care of, you could feel his warmth seeping into your skin. He leaned forward, his lips hovering amongst yours, "Do you really think I'm so naive that I would fall for your conning schemes?"

"What?"

The prodigy pulled himself away from you, crossing his arms against his chest as he stared into your eyes. "I know how you work. You come into the bar, flirt with me, and then you take something from me just so you can profit. I'm not stupid."

You sat there baffled from his (true) accusation. It wasn't normal for people to catch onto a honey trap; and it certainly wasn't normally for you to fail a honey trap before it even started. You knew Sae was smart. He was a very detail oriented person, but the way he was able to read people just based on words and actions that come out to be so normal was extraordinary.

"What'd you say your name was? [L/N]?" Sae began towards the door, breaking his eye contact. "Keep the room, I'm out."

He left.
