In an unknown place

"Why do you hate Mahi?", asked Sakshi randomly as she felt this man is of not any harm as apart from that slap he didn't hurt her in these two days. 

The man turned his attention to her.

"Well, I actually hate yellow and he plays for CSK right, so that's the reason I hate the captain of Chennai Super Kings", replied the man sarcastically.

"You must be kidding. That sounds so silly", said Sakshi wondering whether he is someone who is mentally unstable.

"Listen Sakshi, I don't hate any of you...I just hate those days and those memories and the thought of your husband who I adored so much has not stood by me", said the man.

"You know what, even if Mahi would have not done all this, I would have left you without doing any harm", the man continued "I just wanted to see how far he could go for his loved ones...at least then I could be sure that I am not one amongst them", a lone tear escaped from his eyes which he hurriedly wiped it away.

Next morning, in Rohit's house 

"Anu, the police officer just called me to inform that the lawyer has come to talk to Arhan", said Rohit.

"Great, so who wants to follow him?", asked Ananya looking at the squad.

"I think Yuzi will be the right one because he is lean and short, it is easier for him to hide from the trial", suggested Rahul.

"Cool, so are you in Yuzi?", asked Bhuvi.

"Yes boss", replied Yuzi all excited.

"Keep your phone on so that we can track your location and come to your aid if you land yourself in trouble which I am pretty sure you would", mocked Rishi earning glares from Kuldeep.

"Take care Yuzi", started Ro and before he could complete Yuzi interrupted "I know Rohita, you are so worried about me, but don't worry I will be fine".

Ro raised his eyebrow and continued "Don't spoil the mission and now get going".

Arhan's lawyer went to meet Dolly as per Arhan's instructions, Yuzi followed him right from the police station as decided. And his location was being tracked in the BCCI headquarters. As they reached the city outskirts, Dada sent in a message to his men to surround the farmhouse and wait for his call. After what seemed like thirty minutes, they heard a shriek from inside while the men rushed into the farmhouse leaving Yuzi in a safe distance as ordered by Dada. In minutes, an ambulance arrived and a girl was sent to the nearby hospital. The lawyer was taken into custody for attempting to murder.

Dolly easily confessed as she has seen the true colors of Arhan and admitted that Arhan paid her to speak against Virat and has got all her pictures with Virat photoshopped. The lawyer too gave in at the stake of his profession and confessed that Arhan wanted to kill Dolly as Virat could never clear his name. Moreover, people would blame him for her death.  

"Thank God, Ek chapter tho close hogayi (One chapter is closed)", sighed Bumrah who is not at all liking this blame games.

"True from here on we will take care boys, it's time that you leave for NewZealand", said Dada not sure of whether it is the right time to speak about it or not.

Though they resisted initially but had to agree, being the players of a nation, they can't ignore national duty. 

In BCCI Headquarters,

Mahi was just staring at the picture of his team.

"I did everything I can to turn you against me but what can I do if you don't want to believe me. Till now there was no network here and I am sure my boys have got something to do with it. What did I do to earn so much love from you guys", tears rolled down his eyes and then he remembered the resemblance in the voice of that man who spoke with him on the phone. Mahi sat there working his brain.  

In NewZealand, in a press conference

"Good morning Virat, we are happy that your name is clear but what do you have to say about M.S. Dhoni?"

"Well, as I always said he is my captain who is more like my elder brother", replied Virat looking straight into the reporter's eyes.

"In spite of him speaking against you and your team, you still want to support him?", hearing which Virat chuckled.

"He can fool you but not us. He will always be my Mahi bhai and I will always be his Cheeku no matter what. We know that we have our own special place in his heart which could not be replaced by anyone. Mahi bhai, you know how stubborn is your Virat right, I am not going to leave you anytime and will not let you leave us either. Again I am saying bhai, we are just a call away. Thank you", saying which Virat left from there.

In an Unknown place

"This is what is surprising to me. Then teams weren't like this in my times...no one stood up for me not even your husband. But now the entire Cricket Team is not ready to leave his side though how hard he is trying to push them away", said the man watching the press meet.

"By any chance, did you play for India?", asked Sakshi taking in the information.

The man closed the laptop, came and sat before Sakshi removing the mask for which she exclaimed "Sreesanth"

Silence prevailed for a few minutes.

"You didn't expect me right?", asked Sree.

"I didn't but Mahi would have", replied Sakshi with a half-smile.

"You know what I respected Dhoni a lot. He was my captain and I was one of those in the winning team twice in 2007 and 2011. Everything was going as I have planned until that match-fixing fiasco. When I was arrested, I called up Dhoni many times wanting his support but he neither answered my calls nor spoke about me anywhere. I felt so lonely having no one by my side. Thinking about it, I feel he never liked me. In my early stages of cricket as well, he used to bash in the press conferences in front of everyone...", said Sreeshant tears in his eyes.

Composing himself "So, when I saw you in Paris airport I followed you and reached the forest from where I brought you here. I haven't planned anything...just wanted to show how it would be when someone you have trusted would leave your side but it seems that he has made his mark on everyone that no one wants to believe that he can do something wrong. Just like how he stood with Virat, he would have been there for me too...but he wasn't there"

"Sreesanth, I don't know what happened between you both but Mahi would be tough with those whom he feel are worth playing in the Indian Team and are going on a wrong path. He was the same with Virat too. He always stands like an elder brother who praises on your little achievements and punishes on your mistakes", said Sakshi and that reminded Sree of his own words when he himself used to defend Mahi saying that "Never have I had any problems with him nor will I ever have any problems with him. He has been there right from the time I made my debut. I consider him as my elder brother. He is my captain. If a student does mischief, doesn't the teacher scold him? If you are tardy in your work, doesn't your editor pull you up? It is the same thing". Tears welled up his eyes with nostalgia. After what seemed to be an eternity, all the while Sakshi was silent giving him time.

"I think I was carried away by my emotions. Like always I took decisions in haste and anger and see what I have done. I will arrange something for you to reach Mumbai. You can do whatever you want against me. I am not someone who would be scared to accept my mistakes. Life has taught me enough", said Sree getting up.

"Move on Sree...what's done is done", suggested Sakshi looking straight into his eyes.

"I did already", said Sree hastily looking down for which Sakshi gave a half-smile.

"Maybe I haven't. You know cricket has got all the place in my heart...Movies, politics nothing could replace it. But still, I will try to move on now. No Regrets, No complaints", said Sree smiling and then he continued "Thanks, Sakshi...you are as sweeter as your husband. I am really sorry for slapping you and please convey my sincere apologies to Mahi as well".

In the BCCI Headquarters

Ananya was sitting in the hall with a disappointed face as they couldn't find anything about Sakshi but was equally shocked and surprised looking at the entrant.

"Oh my god, Sakshi bhabhi", shouting it she rushed to the room in which Mahi bhai has locked himself and banged on it loudly.

"Mahi bhai, bhabhi is here...open the door", for which Mahi immediately came out and finding his soulmate, he hugged her so tightly which she happily reciprocated and everyone in the room had tears. Irrespective of timezones Ananya and Dada informed all the players and Virat knew no bounds. Though everyone wanted to talk to the couple, they thought to give them so privacy and will enquire the next morning.

"Sakshi, you are alright. He didn't hurt you right?", Mahi asked worriedly for which Sakshi nods negatively. 

"It's Sree right?", whispered Mahi so that no one else would hear him out and now Sakshi nodded in yes.

"Can you do me one favor?", asked Mahi and Sakshi smiled as she knew what's coming next and both of them said together "let's forget this here".

"But Mahi what shall we tell people, they will ask questions", asked Sakshi thinking about the line of questions she would have to face from friends and family.

"Stop worrying about people. But Sree doesn't deserve this, already he had faced a lot. I never thought he hates me so much", said Mahi trying hard to control his tears.

"No Mahi he doesn't hate you...it's just that he got jealous of the current team and the way you all are standing for one another in tough times and he had taken this step in moments. He had not planned anything. Trust me Mahi, he had no intention of harming me or you", said Sakshi.

"Good, I will speak with him soon and let's clear all the misunderstandings between us", said Mahi making up his mind to speak with Sree.

"Ha and now let's hurry, I can't wait to meet my little girl. She might be angry about staying away for so long", said Sakshi getting excited all of a sudden.

"Ya later I have to go to NewZealand to meet the boys. I had kept them hell worried all these days. Poor kids", said Mahi remembering their tensed faces.

First Mahi and Sakshi went to Rohit's house to meet Rithika and Anushka and after they made sure that everything is alright and as Mahi spoke with the boys in a video call, everyone is relieved. From there Mahi and Sakshi traveled to Dehradun and after enjoying his time with his daughter in the snow, he traveled all the way to Newzealand surprising his kids and spent some quality time with them. Though Dada and the team insisted on knowing the reason behind his odd behavior Virat is happy to get his Mahi Bhai back. Apart from the practice sessions and gym time, Virat never left Mahi bhai's side making Hardik jealous. After they got enough of his pampering and as the T20's got completed Mahi returned back to his family. Then he and Sakshi went to the Kanha National park followed by the Maldives for a reunion.
