The group looked around the streets. Buildings around them were all made from bricks of various shades of green and yellow. One stood out from the rest. In the centre of the town stood a large castle, it's emerald bricks gleaming down at them from above. The building was made of what looked like giant, jagged emerald crystals. Carter found it very imposing. He guessed they were going for an imposing look.
"Let's go in and get you home England." Said Felix, adjusting his hat. As the five began towards the building, spotlights began to blaze into life around them, the light reflected magnificently off the crystal building.

Once again, the guards refused to let them into the castle. Carter walked off and sat on a bench. The twins sat on either side of him, and Felix leant against the side.
"Any ideas?" Asked Fiona.
"I'm open to ideas."said Georgia. Carter stared blankly at the ground. Felix stood up. "What if theirs a back entrance, or a window, or-"
Carter cut him off. "Vents?"
The other three stared at him. He looked back at them. "You know, vents. They let the air condition- you don't have air conditioning here do you." He trailed off. The Fiona shook her head.
Georgia tilted her head. "Is it like wind tubes?" She asked. "They let the wind in, circulate it through the building."
Carter stood up. "Perfect." He said.

Carter and Felix helped the girls to their feet.
"Here's the plan," began Felix, "Me and Fiona will look around the place for any unguarded windows or doors. Georgia and Carter will search for and try to climb through the wind tubes into the building. We meet up inside. Then we find the Big Three and get what we want." He finished. The others nodded. Carter wasn't quite sure on some of it, but if he could just follow Georgia he would be fine.
"What am I then?" Otto scratched at Carters leg angrily. "Chopped mouse?"
Carter wasn't quite sure he was saying it right. "You can stand guard for us." He said to the cat. Otto mumbled something about guards and fur as he let his owner pick him up.

Carter followed Georgia around the emerald building. Out of nowhere, a guard stepped imprint of them.
"You're not allowed to be here." He snarled, grabbing Georgia's arm.
Carter panicked. Scanning the ground around him, he noticed a small round stone lying beside his foot. He picked it up and lobbed it at the guard. The rock hit him square in the forehead and the man fell to the ground, Georgia pulling herself free from his grasp in the process. She reached down and pressed her fingers against his neck.
"Nice one." She muttered, standing up and wiping her hand on her cloak. "Knocked him out cold."
She gestured for him to walk towards her. When he got there, she punched him in the arm. "Left it a bit late." She whispered.

The pair continued the search, Otto close on their heels. After what felt like hours, they found an opening in the wall, just big enough to crawl through.
"Ready?" Georgia asked him. Carter shook his head, but proceeded to lift Otto into the wind tube. He helped lift Georgia up and hoisted himself in after. The four crawled along the vents. Carter had pause several times and close his eyes. He wasn't claustrophobic, but he also didn't fancy getting stuck in a green vent in Oz with one ginger twin and a talking cat. He climbed slowly along the vent. Carter stopped as light shot up from a grate in front of him. He edged closer. Voices echoed up at him. He crawled over the grate to get a better look. There was a horrible creak. Carters insides twisted as Georgia looked around frantically. The grate gave way beneath him.

Carter dropped from the ceiling, slamming his chest against the ground and winding himself in the process. He rolled over onto his back and sat there panting for a moment before opening his eyes. Four faces stared down at him. Georgia looked down from the vent, a look of horror on her face. Carter looked around to see a lion, a what appeared to be some kind of robot, and the scarecrow he had seen earlier in the carriage earlier, all standing around their eyes locked on him...
