❝ in my dreams, i always
find my way back to you. ❞•
title : throne of roses•
status : available
genre : fanfiction
( The 100 )
during the events of : season 1
• cast :
naomi scott as briar thorne
❝ the original ❞
maia mitchell as ivory crow
❝ the replacement ❞
basic overlook : in which two girls, ivory
and briar, find themselves falling from
the sky and landing on foreign territory known
as earth, and hide the truth behind their
mistakes. As a part of the 100 teenagers,
they must fight for their lives while hiding
in the midst of the others. Briar— an unlikely
ally that somehow finds a place in Bellamy Blake's heart— until the time of her death,
in which he is faced with moving on
and staying strong for his sister and the
remainder of the group . . . until he comes
across a girl who seems to look a lot like
Briar, and is faced with the daunting task
of freely falling for another while in the midst
of a war, or holding on to his past lover
who seems to show up and speak to him in
his dreams.
love interest : Bellamy Blake
characteristics of Briar : she's very reserved, and has the tendency to
keep to herself— but upon facing down
someone who's doing wrong, she won't
hesitate to speak out. (Her mother died
while giving birth to her on the arc, and she acted out in order to catch the attention of her father)
characteristics of Ivory : she's very
similar to Briar, and has dimples that resemble Briar's when she smiles. She's very kind,
but shy, and is more of a follower than
a leader. She looks up to Clarke. (I haven't come up with a reason for her being one
of the 100, so that's up to the author!)
opposing character(s) : the grounders, Murphy
fun fact : i was sooooo close to writing this plot, i am so in love with it. i definitely want to emphasize how Briar shows up in Bellamy's
dreams at night— i think it's a super
important part of the story.
anything else : in the end, i intended
on having Bellamy stop pushing Ivory away. i was thinking that he would come across Briar in the woods one day as he's hunting or
something (at the very end of the book) and
he sees Briar's ghost that tells him that he
needs to let her go and it's time for him
to move on. i actually had some of the last chapter written out, which can give you some ideas :
But the boy stumbles, not paying attention to his surroundings, and barely catches himself by gripping onto a low-hanging tree branch. Because there, in the near distance, was a glowing light that tangled and swirled around the crumbled leaves that littered the forest ground.
And within the light was a girl.
His girl.
The one that made his heart ache every time he remembered the way she smiled at him, the way she stared longingly up at the stars when he brought her to a clearing. And now here she was, looking into his soul from where she stood, with the edges of her lips twitching upwards into a beautiful smile.
"You're . . . you're here, you're real," Bellamy finds himself saying, dropping his weapon to carefully take a step towards her. "And this isn't a dream. But . . . how?"
"Because you need me," the words drip from Briar's lips like warm molasses, her honey-filled eyes glossing over as she reaches out to take his warm hands into hers. "I know that you beat yourself up because of me, Bellamy. And I know that you push her away."
"Because she isn't you," he chokes, stumbling over his words as he tries to decipher the scene playing out in front of him.
"It's time for you to let go, Bellamy," she says softly, her cool hands resting against his cheeks as she traces his lips with her thumb. "Let me go."
"Briar," her name sounded almost foreign on his lips. It had been too long since he had last spoken her name. "I can't let you go, I can't."
"Yes you can," the girl assures him, her features reflecting assurance and the same kindness as when they first met. "She's waiting for you."
*dialogue continues for a minute*
And as he steps back, her brilliant form slowly fading from sight, he got one final glance at her eyes; the ones that made him fall in love with her. The eyes that were colored like cinnamon, or the color of deep sienna, with a mischievous glint that seemed to reflect the corners of her mouth, which were fighting a smile. They were every shade of brown that Bellamy could imagine, a raw umber and caramel mix, dotted with bits of dark chocolate.
They were the same color of Ivory's eyes.
And in the forest, with tears in his eyes and his heart pounding in his chest, he realizes that Briar would never truly leave him.
Because he saw the same kindness and love of Briar in the heart of Ivory every single day.
if you want this plot i will love you
forever, so think about that as you read
over this lmao
