Chapter |11|

"Its hard to live rather than loving another one..."
_Jimin
He hadn't witnessed the chaos unfolding before his eyes. Office glass shattered, scattering in every direction, as Jimin desperately crawled down the staircases, wiping his sweat-drenched forehead to gain a clear view of the pandemonium surrounding him. His wide-eyed gaze darted around as he sprinted alongside his hyung, Jin. The deafening sound of gunshots filled the building, and soon, the wailing sirens of approaching ambulances reverberated through the multi-storied structure. Neither the media nor the government acknowledged his illicit activities, leaving him to face the consequences alone.
The law and justice system sought to apprehend him, while innocent citizens sought to distance themselves from his dangerous world, yearning for a peaceful existence. Fearful, they avoided him and his office building, but his enemies managed to breach the floors, inflicting irreparable damage upon the once majestic "Mr. Park's Empire."
Jimin and Jin were hastily ushered into a waiting car by their bodyguards, as they escaped the chaotic scene. Several vehicles trailed behind, acting as their convoy.
In the following hours, Seoul became awash with headlines, flashing across screens, reporting on the devastating attack on the "Park Empire." The company's stocks plummeted, and certain properties were seized by the FBI in the aftermath. The media played their role meticulously, capitalizing on Jimin's predicament to boost their ratings. Unlike border skirmishes accompanied by fiery displays of aggression, this assault represented a critical flaw within the Korean government. Meanwhile, Jimin found himself astounded by the audacity of the group that dared to lay a hand on his business empire.
Working diligently from their hidden location, Kim Taehyung and Namjoon strived to uncover any leads regarding the attack. Regardless of who orchestrated it, they were determined to bring them down. Jimin slouched in his study, heart pounding with each passing second. The entirety of his life's achievements had been torn asunder by the law, seized for further legal proceedings. He was compelled to start anew, to rebuild his business empire from scratch. Revenge was now his driving force. The game of thrones might be captivating to witness, but when the throne pierces your heart, causing it to bleed, the sight is far from beautiful.
He was a victim of profound loss, perpetually plagued by a sense of loneliness. Even making a simple phone call filled him with trepidation. His hyung, always by his side, stationed guards outside his door, signaling the commencement of their strategic preparations.
Jimin heaved a sigh and retrieved a file from the drawer, meticulously scanning its contents from top to bottom. The words within embraced by the pages ignited a surge of anger, causing his fists to clench. He attempted to control his rage, but his efforts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Yoongi stood there, wearing a sly smirk.
"We have apprehended him," announced someone, and Jimin looked up from the papers, a smirk spreading across his face. "Alright, let's focus on our business first."
He slipped his hands into his pockets and strode down to the basement, with guards respectfully bowing in his presence. Yoongi and Jin stood by his side, accompanying him to the hall adorned with a pool of blood. In the center of the room, a man sat tied to a chair, his legs bound, and his mouth covered with tape. He wore a twisted smile, resembling a deranged individual about to descend into the depths of hell, seeking respite from his sins. Blood splatters marred his face, and his eyes roamed over Jimin, analyzing him from head to toe, while he laughed like a maniac who had escaped from a psychiatric institution during a tumultuous mental episode.
"Hyung, let's break him," Hoseok growled through gritted teeth.
"You won't be able to extract the truth from a traitor who has been captured just before becoming one," Jimin stated confidently.
A slap reverberated across the man's face, causing him to spit out blood onto the floor. Jin stood awkwardly, his gun aimed at the captive, tightening his grip with increasing intensity.
"Your strength is feeble compared to your boss," he sneered.
"Shut up, you brat!" Jungkook grunted, delivering another blow that elicited a chuckle from the captive.
"Stop, this won't work on him. Show him the video," Jimin commanded, taking a seat on the couch, toying with his gleaming branded lighter.
Namjoon picked up a tablet from the table and held it up to the man's face. "Watch it for yourself."
The man's tears flowed as he clenched his fists, his face contorting, and his teeth chattering. "Please, make it stop!"
"Why are you suddenly so emotional? Weren't you the traitor who collaborated with the Han Group and dared to divulge details from here to those bastards working alongside me? Now you need to experience the agony of loss," Jimin bellowed, rising from the couch, causing the man to burn with anger. He had been brainwashed by the Han Group's chairman and their foolish lackey to destroy the "Park Empire" and seize control of the company for a merger. Even in his wildest dreams, they couldn't dismantle Jimin's relentless efforts. He was a demon in the business world, and no threats could undermine him. However, now he knew he needed to exercise caution and protect his loved ones.
Jimin drew a gun and confronted the man. "Are you remorseful for your treacherous actions? Will you prove your guilt to me by relinquishing your name and the insignia on your coat, serving me for the remainder of your life without accepting a single dime from those monsters?"
"No..."
Jimin let out a heavy sigh as he aimed the loaded gun at the man's forehead. "I love you, honey," he whispered, his final words directed to his wife, who was held at gunpoint alongside their daughter in another video. The guards had taken them to Jimin's house, ensuring their safety until he could resolve the situation. "He was still sorry for his wife," Jimin muttered, wiping the gun clean. "Clean up the mess and prepare for the meeting," he instructed his hyung, watching them depart without uttering a word.
"I feel sorry for hyung. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do," Jungkook mumbled, his gaze fixed on his blood-splattered form amidst the lifeless body of the traitor.
Life with traitors is not easy. Lies are unseen scenario that go beyond our control.
Beware of lies and traitors.
