          Reborn again and again. Rebuilt again and again. Changed and transformed. Existence is a sham, and in the few months since leaving the N109 Zone, Nicole Landry has only become more sure of the fact. As secrets about her past come to light, so has a painful truth - her life is a cursed network of fabricated sins, her own and others. And as she further delves into the mysteries of the Aether Core, fragments of memories return to her mind - memories Nicole knows she is not supposed to have.

         For they are not of Earth or her beloved Linkon City, but of a distant land and a deadly abyss, one that feels like strangely like home and also a place she can never return to. And there is one thing all these fragments have in common. The presence of a man she doesn't quite know what to think of. Sylus. But this is not the leader of Onychinus - the Sylus of her dreams is a dragon with sharp claws, a fiend with deadly power, looking like a deadly beast of myth and legend. And yet he feels deeply like hers. Her possession. Her desire. Like they are two parts of the same whole.

          There is an ancient legend, a story told to young kids in Linkon City, of humans having four arms, four legs and a head with two faces, presenting a harmonious picture, a unified soul. A vengeful gods condemns them into a split existence, and that's the reasoning given for humans looking for their soulmates. This legend is what inspires Nicole to pick up the pieces of a long-drawn-out and ancient puzzle. For if what she thinks is true, beyond just looking for the Aether Core, she must also hunt down memories of a time gone past, and find that mysterious dragon and his hoard of treasures.

          Nicole's first stop? The sombre tunes of a song she doesn't remember learning, and a name she remembers out of nowhere. Taurus City.

Alright let's do this. I've been toying with this idea in my mind since Sylus' myth banner came out and after watching a few of Sylus' 4 star memories, it was solidified. I keep thinking what happens when the MC remembers what Sylus was to her. And what would Sylus' reaction be when he realizes that she remembers everything? And thus, this plot idea was born. In short, this is my version of the MC remembering everything and how it would all go.

This is purely an AU and will involve a mix of the storylines from the Main Story, some of Sylus' 4 star and 5 star cards, as well as his myth Beyond Cloudfall. Fair warning, this will have a lot of spoilers if you're not up to date on his lore. This will be on the shorter side, and will have a max of 10-15 chapters and will be a mix of angst and fluff, of course. The new main story branch involving Sylus and Zayne does not come into play here. (although there will be hints alluding to it)

As for the name of the MC, Nicole Landry is what I use in-game. She's definitely kind of self insert-ish (Nicole is the name I imagine I would use if I had to choose an English name) but still will be pretty different from me.
