Sunday, September 16th (part 2)

"Why did you take me here?" Everett asked, putting her hands on the table. "Are you going to kill me?" Kendall remained quiet. "You are, aren't you?"

"Woah." Kendall put his hands in front of him. "I'm not going to kill anybody. That's what you do. I thought you wanted to tell me something private so I took you to one of the most private rooms in the church; the baptismal room."

"Oh." Everet sat down in her seat and put her hands to her sides. "Wait, then why was everyone looking at me?"

"Oh, I'm sorry for that. The reason we tak pope into the baptism room is so they can decide if they truly want to get baptized. Good gossip spreads like wildfire in our church. They were happy because they thought you were going to get baptized, or atleast choose to get baptized," Kendall explained. "I'm sorry for any confusion."

Everett took a deep breath; her heart rates went down. "It's fine." She looked straight at Kendall, her eyes burning into his soul. "If you accept this, I need to know that you won't tell anyone. If you do, and I find out, you're a dead body in your hospital's morgue."

Kendall bursted out laughing. Everett leaned back in surprise and shock. SHe definitely wasn't expecting that response. Kendall's laughter was constant which made Everett want to laugh. He would try to catch his breath and stay still, but the oncologist would fail and be hunched over the table, laughing. After many deep breaths, Kendall managed to calm down (mostly). He cleared his throat. "I'm sorry, Everett." He smiled ,fighting away the laughter trying to get out. "But...didn't you already threaten me with that?" Kendall couldn't hold it in anymore, his laughter escaped his mouth, and he was holding his stomach.

Everett frowned.

Shewas tempted just to leave, but what that lady said to her earlier popped back into her head: "Don't think about it, just do it." Everett slammed her fist down onto the table which seemed to care Kedall into silence. "Endall, someone is going to die. Not day, but in this church. Someone will be murdered." That seemed to set the mood. "I am an assassin and my new target is Henry Hillfigure. Hillfigure wants to kill Bill Sullvian on his wedding day later this month."

"Mayor Bill Sullivan? Why would he ever want to do that?" Kendall asked with a quiver in his voice.

Everett sighed. "We suspect Sullvian is a mole for Hillfigure. He wants to kill the mole and everyone else at the wedding, simply put."

"That's horrible!" Kendall wailed. His emotions quickly changed into sadness.

Everet didn't like seeing people sad. She normally felt nothing towards them except hatred. Hatred for hw weak they were being but for some reason she could never truly hate Kendall. Maybe it was because he was a sort of friend. "You don't have to do it if you don't–"

"No!" Kendall grabbed Everett's shoulders roughly. He got out of his chair, knocking it over to do so. "I won't let anyone die! Not again!"

Everett softly padded Kendall's hands as she tried to pry them off her. "Okay...I guess that means you're in. We can start with a tour of the church."
