Steve was the over-protective kind of boyfriend. But when he realizes that you were gone after the fight, his emotions over take him and makes him freak out.

Steve stopped you before you went off to fight for the mission. You twirled around, falling into a big bear hug from Steve.

"Y/N. Be safe okay? I don't want you to get hurt, I don't want you to be taken away. After your mission, you better come back here to this very spot. Alright?" Steve states.

You nod your head, and he lays a delicate kiss on top of your head. Your hands disconnect and you head off into the room with Bucky. Steve wanted to be your partner, but Bucky was the first one to take you. When you two got fighting, you were perfect together as fighting partners. At the end, you two were victorious. You got a few cuts and bruises here and there, but you didn't mind it. But maybe Steve would mind. As you started to head back to the place Steve wanted you to meet, Bucky got a grip of your wrist. You turn around, asking him what was up.

"Do you think it would be funny if we pulled a little prank on Steve?" Bucky asks, smirking at the process.

"Buck.." You sigh, rolling your eyes.

"Remember the last prank? Steve wasn't to happy about that one." You state.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. But aren't you sick of Steve always being so over-protective?" Bucky asks.

"I think it's cute." You shrug.

"Y/N. Please. Just one more time." Bucky begs.

You glare at him, but than finally agree. He tells you the plan, and you cooperate with it, and follow the instructions. You had to head back to HQ, as Bucky goes and continues the prank with Steve.

Bucky's POV

After Y/N left the building, I waved goodbye to her, smiling. When she was out of sight, I rushed back inside and went to the spot to meet. And of course, Steve and the team was already there. I couldn't help but smirk when I entered the room, but I had to act like I didn't know where Y/N was. As I enter, Steve looks at me and his eyes go wide. He rushes towards me and shoves me aside, looking behind me. I rub my shoulder, he shoved me pretty hard, but he turned towards me again.

"Where's Y/N?!" He bursted out.

I flipped around, rapidly looking around. Pretending I didn't know where she went.

"I don't know! She was with me for one second, and the next, she was gone!" I faked.

Steve started to hyperventilate like crazy, I told him to calm down, but he wasn't calming down. Maybe this wasn't a very good idea.

"Steve! It's okay! We'll find her!" I try to calm him down.

"She's gone.. I promised I would never let her out of my sight.. I promised her she would be safe.." His eyes were tearing up.

Mine were on the edge of tears as well, this was killing Steve more than I thought it would. He actually really cared about Y/N. What have I done..

"Steve. Let's take you back to HQ, you need to chill." Tony says while taking his arm, trying to calm him down as well.

Steve agrees and we all dragged him to HQ. Hopefully when we got there, he would be alright. Atleast that's where Y/N was.

Your POV

You arrive at the HQ and jump onto the couch, letting out a big sigh. The sound of a door opening came into your ears and you turn around. Seeing Steve crying like crazy, you gasp and rush towards him. His whole face was red, and there were tears falling down from his eyes like a waterfall.

"Stevie!" You exclaim as you hold his arm.

He looks up, and his eyes were red shot. He lets out a big gasp, but it just sounded like even more crying. He falls into your arms, and you started to rub his back.

"I-I thought I l-lost you Y-Y/N!!" He cried out.

You rubbed his back and looked up and saw Bucky giving you a sorry smile. You gave him the annoyed look, he's done it again, and it went to far.

"Buck. This one went to far." You shot.

"I know, I'm sorry." He blushes while rubbing his arm.

"What went to far?" Tony lifts an eyebrow.

"It was just supposed to be a prank, but it went farther than expected." Bucky admitted.

You nodded agreeing with his statement. Tony pulls him aside and had a little talk with him, as for you and Steve. You sat him down, and you hugged him.

"Steve.. It's going to be okay.. I'm okay.. Nothing bad happened. I'm sorry Steve played that stupid prank, and I'm sorry I played along. I didn't know what I was thinking. I'm so sorry for making you feel this way, I am so sorry." You whisper, with tears coming into your eyes.

Steve stopped crying and just started to sniffle, he hugs you and you two stayed in that hug for a long time. After he kissed you and you put your head on his shoulder.

"I love you Steve. Please never let me go." You whisper.

"I promise Y/N. I love you to." Steve smiles, wiping his last tear away.
