Name: Alex

"When are you planning to tell him?"

"Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow? You said that yesterday!"

"I-I know, I just don't know if it's the right time yet." she said in a worried tone. "M-Maybe you should tell him."

"Me? Why me?"

"Because you're his brother."

"You're his wife!"

     She dragged her fingers through her hair in distress. She didn't understand what the difficulty was about telling her own husband that she was pregnant. It soon came to her, she was afraid. She was terrified of the outcome, the reaction that Loki was going to have with the news. Was he going to leave her once he found out? Was he was going to be angry? The only scenarios that played out inside of her head were the pessimistic ones.

"Look Alex," thor started, placing his hand on her shoulder, noticing her anguish. "I can see that you're going through a lot of thoughts right now, but trust me, having a kid is something that Loki has always wanted. Especially with the woman he loves, which is you."

     Alex took in a deep breath. She wanted to believe Thor, but at the same time, her brain was contradicting his words and telling her that Loki wasn't going to like the idea of having a child with her.

"Maybe I can just wait until my baby bump comes and Loki can find out that way."

Thor rejected that idea instantly. "Absolutely not Alex. That would raise suspicion with him and make him think you've been doing it with another man."

     Thor was right yet again. She didn't want Loki to think that she was in love with somebody else. Thor moved himself to sit down beside her on the bed. Her eyes remained on the ground in thought. 

"Alex, why don't we go to the lounge, I'm sure Loki is there." thor suggested. "Today is the day. You've got this. Don't worry."

     Inhaling a deep breath, Alex nodded in confidence. The two stood up from the bed and her brother-in-law walked with to the lounge of the building. Thor sure knew his brother because there he was, Loki Laufeyson sitting on the couch, laughing it up with his buddies. Alex's heart still skipped a beat every time she saw Loki. He was gorgeous. She still hadn't found out how she got so lucky.

     It was as if Loki had sensed Alex's presence and shifted his attention away from the group and at Alex. He flashed her one of his dazzling smiles.

"Alex, sweetheart, come here!"

     Thor gave her a nudge forward because he noticed she wasn't moving. Thor stayed behind and watched her slowly approach Loki. Loki's smile never fell away as long as he was staring at her. When she reached him, he reached for her hands and pulled her down to sit beside him. He immediately leaned in to steal a kiss from her.

"How are you doing this morning honey?"

"Loki, I have to tell you something," she spoke softly. Loki leaned in, he didn't understand what she said. "I-I'm preg—"

"I'm sorry sweetie, I can't hear you, what are you trying to say?"

     The music inside the lounge had increased when she spoke the sentence again. Convenient. Loki got tired of all the noise and wanted to hear his wife and what she had to say, so without hesitation, he yelled at everybody to shut up. She could feel her face heat up and her body begin to weaken. She took a quick glance at Thor who was nodding in encouragement. All eyes were on her now.

"Now, what was it that you wanted to tell me Alex?"

      Sweaty palms, dry throat, she didn't know if she could go through with this. Negativity was flooding her mind. She loved Loki and she knew that he loved her, but still the news were killing her inside. Would Loki be a good father? Was he going to stay with her? Instantly, she just blurted it out.

"I'm pregnant Loki."

     Everybody around them began to murmur among themselves. Thor looked at everybody's reaction but focused more on Loki's. Loki remained earnest. It confused Alex. He wasn't giving her the reaction Thor had told her. His eyes fell away from hers, causing Alex's worry sky rocket.

"W-We're going to have a child?" loki asked softly, his eyes still away from hers. "I-I'm going to be a father?"

     No verbal response but a nod came from Alex. She didn't even realize she was tearing up until she blinked and a tear came running down her cheek. Loki went from completely silent to extremely ecstatic within seconds, it surprised Alex.

"This is amazing Alex!" loki called out, cupping her face in his hands. "I'm going to be a father!"

     The room exploded with cheers as Loki clashed his lips with hers. Thor was the loudest cheerer. Alex couldn't help but laugh in relief as Loki kissed her. She was overwhelmed with joy. And so was Loki. Loki was as excited to be a father than Alex was to be a mother. Once the kissing scene was over with, Loki's smile had widened.

"You're going to be an amazing mother, Alex."

"And you're going to be an amazing father, Loki."

"As for me, I'm going to be a great uncle."

     Alex and Loki both looked over at Thor, but instead of saying anything, they both fell into hysterical laughter. Loki faced Alex and swooped in for another kiss from his wife. He was ecstatic to become a father. And better yet, start a family with the one woman he was madly in love with.
